Doing so is a prescription for continued suffering. There’s also something about the action of searching that blocks us from what we seek. The constant looking outside of ourselves can keep us from knowing when we hit the target. Something valuable can be going on inside us, but if we’re not tuning in, we can miss it”.Mark Wolynn, It Didn't Start with You: How Inherited Family Trauma Shapes Who We Are and How to End the Cycle. To learn more about how to design your desired futures and receive a futuring journey audio meditation in either English or Spanish, visit https://DeleflorTeachings.com/futuring
Rachel Crethar started Rock & Co in January 2016 while juggling two kids and a career in advertising as a media strategist. Guided by a strong ‘knowing’ following a chance encounter with a piece of Citrine a year earlier, Rachel was inspired to create Rock & Co. Rachel’s intuition served her well, with Rock & Co growing rapidly and to become the “most coveted crystal brand in Australia”. In 2017 she left the advertising world behind to focus full time on Rock & Co and her growing work within the healing space. Rachel hosted regular workshops and events across Australia and New Zealand, educating and empowering people to harness the healing power of crystals within their own lives. In 2018, inspired by her love of healing and fascination with how the subconscious can create our reality, Rachel completed her studies to become a certified hypnotherapist and Rapid Transformational (RTT) Therapist. After personally suffering from anxiety, low self-esteem and post-natal depression in the past, Rachel’s empathy and passion for understanding the human mind, and why we do the things we do, is innate. Rachel now works with clients all over the world, helping them overcome all kinds of problems including anxiety, emotional eating disorders, removing money blocks, relationship issues and even helping them fall pregnant naturally after years of trying. Sessions are mostly conducted online via Zoom or Skype, with a limited number of appointments available in-person in Sydney’s Paddington. Rachel was named one of Women's Health Magazine’s '25 Trailblazers on a Mission to Change Your World' in 2019, and has also been featured in Real Living, Elle Australia, Marie Claire Australia, Baskk, Peppermint, Yen Magazine, Body & Soul, The Wayward, Byrdie and more. In this episode, Rachel shares her journey of transitioning from a full time career into running her own online business Rock & Co and then how she pivoted to become a RTT professional helping people all over the world. I share my experience working with Rachel during my personal RTT session and when I was enrolled in her online course Higher Ground. For more information on RTT or to book a session with Rachel you can find her on Instagram. @rockandco www.rachelcrethar.com Resources Mentioned - Episode #229 The Lively Show by Jess Lively - The most powerful way to change unwanted thoughts & behaviors I’ve ever found with Marisa Peer https://jesslively.com/marisapeer/ Many Lives Many Masters by Dr. Brian Weisshttps://amzn.to/35bNJ18 It Didn't Start with You by Mark Wolynnhttps://amzn.to/2QwQ5Cv The Big Leap by Gay Hendrickshttps://amzn.to/2sAXhoZ

When a trauma happens, it changes us. Literally, it causes a chemical change in our DNA. The best way to say it is we're born into fears, feelings, anxieties, and depressions that aren't ours. We do not enter the world with a clean hard drive; there is an operating system that's already taking place containing the fallout of our parents', grandparents', and maybe even great-grandparents' traumas. We're born in the dark with thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that we can't explain. - Mark Wolynn What if your thoughts, reactions, and even just ways of being aren't even yours but just parts of your family's history that you have inherited? It Didn't Start With You Click here to buy your own copy It Didn't Start With You A groundbreaking approach to transforming traumatic legacies passed down in families over generations, by an acclaimed expert in the field Depression. Anxiety. Chronic Pain. Phobias. Obsessive thoughts. The evidence is compelling: the roots of these difficulties may not reside in our immediate life experience or in chemical imbalances in our brains—but in the lives of our parents, grandparents, and even great-grandparents. The latest scientific research, now making headlines, supports what many have long intuited—that traumatic experience can be passed down through generations. What You Will Learn It Didn’t Start with You builds on the work of leading experts in post-traumatic stress, including Mount Sinai School of Medicine neuroscientist Rachel Yehuda and psychiatrist Bessel van der Kolk, author of The Body Keeps the Score. Even if the person who suffered the original trauma has died, or the story has been forgotten or silenced, memory and feelings can live on. These emotional legacies are often hidden, encoded in everything from gene expression to everyday language, and they play a far greater role in our emotional and physical health than has ever before been understood. The Wellness Force M21 Guide Wellness Force Community on Facebook Power Quotes From The Show Uncovering Our Trauma Language "I find that when a trauma happens, there's something else that goes on; trauma language is left which we also carry with us. Clues after a trauma are left behind in the emotionally charged words and sentences. This leaves behind a bread crumb trail and if we know how to follow it, it'll lead us to the missing piece of the picture that finally gives us context for why we feel, think, and act the way we do." - Mark Wolynn Shaking The Family Tree "We've got to shake the family tree and see what falls out. We have to find out what stories have never been told, what secrets were hidden, and what traumas were never fully healed. Then, we have to do our own healing work, understand how we're reliving those traumas, and what we can do to bring strength and peace to ourselves and future generations." - Mark Wolynn The Residue From Traumatic Events "Just as we inherit eye color and blood type, we also inherit the residue from traumatic events." - Mark Wolynn Links From Today's Show Cured Nutrition 302 Mark Groves Alan Watts Bruce Lipton Bert Hellinger The Wellness Force M21 Guide Wellness Force Community on Facebook Three Generations of Family History - Inherited Family Trauma Creating an Inherited Family Traumagram The Legacy of Unfinished Business The Family Constellation Institute, The Inherited Trauma Institute The Hellinger Institute of Northern California It Didn't Start With You Mark Wolynn Facebook Instagram Twitter About Mark Wolynn Director of The Family Constellation Institute, The Inherited Trauma Institute and The Hellinger Institute of Northern California, Mark Wolynn is North America’s leader in Inherited Family Trauma. What does it even really mean to be intelligent? What is intelligence? For a long time, I used to think that intelligence was how smart you were and that's part of it but what we're really shifting into at Wellness Force is answering the question, what are the real, tangible courses and products out there in our world right now that are the best, what are we working towards as a society, and how can we apply the embodied lessons we learn? That's what we're all looking for. The gathering and application is part of the intelligence process. - Josh Trent My friend, we’ve arrived, this is it, episode 300 of Wellness Force Radio! We Have Arrived If you’ve been listening to Wellness Force for a while, or if you’ve been with us since the beginning, you know by now that great things tend to take us time, effort, and the hardest one of them all - trusting the process - especially when it comes to our wellness. For episode 300, I am sharing the 10 biggest lessons I have learned thus far on this journey. I want to share my truth: This entrepreneurial and podcast path has not been 100% rainbows. Even since early childhood, I have known, deep down, that I march to the beat of a different drummer. Maybe you feel that too, and that’s why you’re here. I’ve faced inner and outer demons I wouldn’t wish on anyone, and since I woke up in 2014, I’ve done some really, really, hard work to let go of old stories about genetics, beliefs, and the people and things that don't serve my wellness. But yet as hard as this has been, I’ve also learned that when you operate from a place of love and service to others, and if you really want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it. This podcast has been my home, my work, and my life for 4 years now, and today, I get to give thanks to YOU. Top Lessons Learned From 300+ Shows 1. Until I see you again real soon, I’m wishing you love and wellness. - Josh Trent Power Quotes From The Show Just The Joy Of The Conversation Is A Gift "I had no idea that my life would be this rewarding and this challenging. I say I have both because if you look at any relationship, whether it's with friends or a significant other, it's when we go through the challenges of travel and connection and schedules and work to actually get the podcast out there or even just going to a new town and meeting new people, there's always going to be a bitter before there's the sweet. So, the sweet is getting to be able to text Dr. Jade Teta or email Dave Asprey or connect with some of these people that I had idolized when I was a personal trainer but I've only done that because I did the work brick by brick, day by day, year by year to let these people know that when it was time for us to have a conversation, that I really cared and that I was really adamant about letting them know how much I respect them and whether or not I get anything from them besides a conversation, just the joy of the conversation was the gift. That is a great way to build friendships." - Josh Trent Healing Ourselves Every Day "If I'm always in the process of being my best self then I'm always in the process of being healed, cured, or evolving into whatever the new version of me has let go of. In other words, did I let go of stress, physical trauma, emotional trauma? Every single day, what am I being cured from? What am I stepping towards? That's the whole point of this life. If we don't constantly look at how we can heal and cure the spiritual malady that we have as a society; as a human race, then we're not going to make it. I believe in humanity; I believe we're going to make it but only if we look at this life through the healing and cured lense." - Josh Trent Doing The Work Together "When I think about the evolution of my healing, it comes through this podcast, and it's what I want people to feel from me every episode. Not only am I doing this work but we're also doing this work together so that when we're out of the spaces of doing the work, we can actually show up and live our life well. We can actually show up and have loving relationships and full joy and full expression and full connection with our friends and partners." - Josh Trent Links From Today's Show Civilized Caveman The Cured Collective Podcast The Tim Ferriss Show CURED Nutrition Joe Sheehey, CURED Nutrition Founder Paleo f(x) Oura Ring FitTech Summit Collective Podcast with Joseph Sheehey WFR 071 Melissa Hartwig The Whole 30 WFR 275 Paul Chek 23andMe WFR 214 Mansal Denton Nootropedia WFR 214 Jesse Lawler Smart Drugs Smarts Podcast Neurohacker Collective WFR 096 Daniel Schmachtenberger WFR 250 Dave Asprey WFR 293 Dr. Jade Teta Onnit WFR 196 Aubrey Marcus WFR 219 Kyle Kingsbury WFR 285 Luke Storey Rythmia WFR 269 Live From Rythmia: Gerry Powell & Jay Brown Carl Jung The Shadow Archetype - Carl Jung Jordan Peterson Biologic Effects of Stress and Bonding in Mother-Infant Pairs Living 4D with Paul Chek: Making A Love Connection - A Conversation With Josh Trent Living 4D with Paul Chek: The Revolution Is Coming: My Conversation With Josh Trent Connor Beaton of ManTalks M21 Breathwork.io Letting Go by David R. Support the podcast When working with my clients one-on-one, we usually spend a lot of time tapping for the world views and beliefs that have been passed along from parents. It makes good sense that we pick up the beliefs of our parents because they are usually our closest relationships. Mark Wolynn's work looks at how we inherit our parents’ beliefs, not through the day-to-day of living with them, but genetically as a result of the trauma experienced by past generations. This idea emerged just over a decade ago and there is now a large body of scientific evidence in support of it. In the interview Mark explains how trauma is passed on genetically in our DNA, how we can identify the traumas that have been passed down, and what we can do to clear them. If you find this topic interesting, check out Mark's book IT DIDN’T START WITH YOU: How Inherited Family Trauma Shapes Who We Are and How to End the Cycle, which contains a much more comprehensive conversation on how you can identify and clear inherited traumas.
