Off the Eagles crushing win over the Chiefs for Superbowl XIL last Sunday in New Orleans, host T.J. Rives returns with his insight and analysis on the coverage of the game and he brings on a national media colleague who was there in "the Big Easy" firsthand to talk about it. It's part of the "LWOS Media Podcast!"First, T.J. gives some thoughts on the massively rated Fox Sports broadcast of the Eagles romp and the ratings showed that despite the blowout, it was, yet again, the most massively rated TV program of the year by a huge number. Also, how did much scrutinized former seven time Super bowl champ Tom Brady do in the Fox booth with Kevin Burkhardt? Then, hear T.J. with Fox Sports Radio's Jonas Knox, who is the host of the nationally heard "2 Pros and a cup of Jo" weekday moring show with former NFL stars Lavar Arrington and Brady Quinn. Jonas and his guys were at "radio row" in New Orleans and he relates stories on the coverage last week and also, the food in that famous town. Plus, T.J. and Jonas reminisce about working together in the early 2010's on FSR on Saturday nights with some great stories about it all. Finally, T.J. goes over some broadcasting personalities coming and going like Dick Vitale, Hubie Brown, Jimmy Johnson and Dan Orlovsky and revists the debate of whether the massive women's college basketball audience would or wouldn't hold once Caitlin Clark departed for the WNBA.It's all part of the latest "LWOS Media Podcast" and make sure to follow/subscribe on Apple/Spreake/Spotify, etc.!!

Giants Offseason Rumors Heat Up: Ja'Marr Chase, Myles Garrett & More

Send us a textThe latest episode of *2 Giants Goofballs: New York Giants News & Updates* dives into all the biggest headlines surrounding the Giants as the offseason rumor mill heats up. Ja'Marr Chase sent social media into a frenzy after his cryptic tweet about Eli Manning, leading to wild speculation that the superstar receiver could have discussed joining the Giants. This comes just days after reports surfaced that the Giants are planning to pursue a top offensive weapon this offseason. But is this all just a case of fans grasping at straws?  The Giants' offensive line remains a major topic, and one name to watch is Will Fries. The Staten Island native has improved every season with the Colts, and despite missing time in 2024 due to injury, his early-season performance graded among the league's best. Could he be a solution for the Giants' struggling O-line? Meanwhile, former Giants receiver Brandon Marshall had high praise for the organization but also questioned their handling of Saquon Barkley's departure. He acknowledged the reality of the business side but made it clear that letting a generational talent walk is a tough pill to swallow.  At the East-West Shrine Bowl, quarterback prospects Shedeur Sanders and Michael Penix Jr. had a fun exchange with a Giants fan, playfully asking him to choose between them. With quarterback rumors swirling around Big Blue, it was a lighthearted moment that got fans talking about the team's draft strategy. Meanwhile, Eli Manning showed off his signature humor, joking that he enjoys the Hall of Fame debate because it keeps him in the news. With the Hall of Fame class set to be announced on February 6th, the two-time Super Bowl MVP remains a hot topic.  In coaching news, Mike Kafka may be sticking around. The Saints are reportedly zeroing in on Kellen Moore as their top choice, leaving Kafka in limbo. After interviewing twice for the head coaching job, including an exhausting nine-hour second interview, Kafka's future remains uncertain. If he stays, what does that mean for the Giants' offense heading into 2025?  The biggest bombshell of the week is Myles Garrett's trade request. The Browns star pass rusher wants out, and his departure could shake up the entire draft board. With Cleveland picking just ahead of the Giants, could they pivot to a full rebuild and target a quarterback? Would they draft Abdul Carter as a potential replacement for Garrett? Or is this all just a leverage move for a bigger contract? The situation could have major implications for the Giants' offseason plans.  Finally, Tiki Barber had a strong message for Tom Brady and Kevin Burkhardt ahead of the Super Bowl. He warned them not to continue hammering the Giants over their decision to move on from Saquon Barkley, saying it's already been played out. With Burkhardt being an Eagles fan and Brady still carrying scars from two Super Bowl losses to the Giants, their comments last week struck a nerve.  With free agency and the draft approaching, the Giants have plenty of tough decisions ahead. Will they make a splash move for a top weapon? Is Myles Garrett's situation something to monitor? And what does the future hold for Mike Kafka? Hour 1 Last night we had a high scoring game between the Bengals and Ravens. But once again, the refs were the story of the game. They had two non-calls on the Bengals 2-point conversion which could have won the game for the Bengals. We wondered if the refs are being told not to call penalties late in games. Boomer said the NFL has a major problem. The Bengals loss was good for the Jets, but Gio doesn't think they are winning in Arizona on Sunday. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds from last night's Ravens win over the Bengals. Al Michaels said ‘too many games end this way' when talking about penalties not being called on the 2-pt conversion. Joe Burrow said he's never gotten those calls so he doesn't expect them. Sal was a guest with Chris Russo on the Jimmy Traina podcast and Russo wants the money owed him by Sal and Gio. Gio told us the real story about the money he owed Russo's bookie. Boomer was on the Fox News Weather Update podcast. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about the Giants missing out on Jayden Daniels because they won too many meaningless games at the end of the season. Worst case scenario would be they do the same thing this year. Boomer thinks they're going to ‘beat the pulp out of the Panthers'. Hour 3 Our big announcement this morning is that Jose Iglesias will be with us at B&G Live at the Paramount, singing his hit song, ‘OMG”. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Ravens beating the Bengals. The Giants are headed to Germany to play the Panthers and Daniel Jones is excited. James Jones of FS1 gives a ‘my bad' to Dak Prescott now that his hamstring is torn off the bone. The Breakfast Ball on FS1 suggests a penalty box in the NFL. We already have Juan Soto fatigue. We have put a moratorium on Juan Soto talk until he actually signs somewhere. All of the shows on WFAN are talking non-stop about him. Boomer & Gio's high schools are playing each other again today. Jerry returns for his final update of the day, but first we talked about the AOL voice guy passing away. ‘You've Got Mail'. Jerry starts with the sounds of the Ravens beating the Bengals on TNF. The refs missed 2 calls on the 2-pt conversion attempt and Joe Burrow said he never gets those calls so he doesn't expect them. The Giants will be in Germany on Sunday and Malik Nabers is excited to go to another country. Christian McCaffrey will make his debut on Sunday against the Bucs. The Moment of The Day: Chris Russo references ‘Smokey Daniels' when discussing Trump. In the final segment of the week, our NFL picks.

What is the point of this season for the Giants? And we can't let the Giants defense off the hook because we're focused on Daniel Jones. Gio said the Giants can say Daniel Jones wasn't ready to come back from his injury, and start Lock this week. Jerry is here for his first update and started with the sounds of the Giants losing to the Vikings. There were a lot of Vikings fans at MetLife. Brian Daboll was asked about a QB change and he said, ‘that's not in my mind'. Jerry has audio of fans screaming at Daniel Jones as he leaves the stadium.
