Today on the show, Australia's favourite kiwi, Luisa Dal Din. You've probably heard her podcast, We Mean Well, or seen her skits on TikTok Luisa is hilarious and unapologetically authentic. But there's also an introspective side to Lu which might surprise you. In this conversation, we go through the specific tools she uses to fend off anxiety and nurture her mental health. Don't worry, for the Bedwetters, I also quiz her on what it's really like working with Jarch. This is an episode which blends laughs with self-improvement and if that's what you appreciate in a podcast, please give it a like and subscribe. The answer to the above question may not be as clear to many of us. In fact, the question itself may be disturbing to some of us as it seems to question God's goodness. When you look at Joseph's life, especially in Genesis 45 when he reveals himself to his brothers. As Joseph looks back, recalling his brother's hatred and desire to kill him and how the LORD has protected and provided for him, he can only say, -the LORD sent me.- Do you think that's what Joseph thought when he was thrown into a pit by his brothers- --That's why I am asking, does God always mean well-

I Mean Well If Money Talked November 7, 2021 The story begins with a young boy whose name we're never told. He's one face in a huge crowd of people who follow Jesus everywhere. On this particular occasion, the crowd has pursued Jesus out into the countryside and up into the hills above the Sea of Galilee. And Jesus…Son of God that He is…knows the people are hungry. He asks His disciples to figure out a dinner plan. But there's no McDonald's or Safeway in sight…just a boy, with five barley loaves and two fish. That's not a lot to work with! We don't know if he was reluctant or fearful. But whether he felt like it or not, the boy gives it all…every last bit of his lunch, into the hands of Jesus. And incredibly…miraculously…it is enough. Actually, it's more than enough. Because when everyone - all five thousand people - had eaten until they were full, twelve baskets of leftovers were gathered up. We're beginning a short 3-week series this Sunday called, If Money Talked. Most people don't want to talk about money. But Jesus had a lot to say about it. In fact, He talked about it more than He talked about heaven! Being a follower of Jesus isn't about knowing lots of spiritual stuff. It's about becoming more like Him. In our daily living we should be growing to be more and more aligned with the way of Jesus, learning to live and love the way He did. Money is part of our lives every day. So, if we are serious about following Jesus, we need to take seriously what He had to say about money. It's part of being a follower, a disciple. As a community of faith, a family of Christ-followers, we are on a journey, learning what it means to live out our faith in the ordinary, messy, everyday details of life. Learning to trust Him with everything we are and everything we have. What might Jesus do with your five loaves and two fish?
Because Chalene has always been a super curious person, her ability to self-censor — when asking almost any kind of question — hasn't always been great. In the last few years, though, she has really worked to improve in this area. But let's face it, we have all unintentionally offended someone by asking a seemingly innocent question or making a curious comment. It also seems that in the last year so many people seem to be offended by almost anything. So today, Chalene shares what not to say in (what might be) a precarious situation. Like, when you're talking to someone who's divorced, single, grieving, of color, a parent of a child with disabilities and others. Thank you to our Sponsor!!! Organifi!!! We’ve all heard the phrase that ‘money makes the world go round’ but do your finances bring you fear or freedom? We all have a lot to say about money; it’s often the driving force behind news headlines and our everyday chats. But what if it wasn’t us doing the talking but it was our wallet? If your money could talk, what would it say about you? WE HELP PEOPLE FIND & FOLLOW JESUS. We know that life is tough; now more than ever. We’re sure you’ve got questions and uncertainties, but we believe Jesus can make difference, that faith can bring hope; even in these times and that the Church should be light in the darkness. We’re embracing this new all-digital landscape and can’t wait to interact with you online. We will ensure you receive a warm welcome whether you tune in every Sunday, or if church is new/unfamiliar territory for you. We love that you are able to be part of our community from the comfort of your own home. Feel free to interact through the week on social media, or stream LIVE online on Sunday morning! https://www.forgechurch.com/ https://www.facebook.com/forgechurchuk https://twitter.com/forgechurch https://www.instagram.com/forgechurchuk/ https://www.youtube.com/user/forgechurch

Sometimes the Thought Doesn't Count It’s Great to Mean Well, but Action Comes First With Rabbi Ari Sollish (Recorded live in Atlanta on June 17, 2020) What’s better -- an ecstatic dance on a Himalayan mountaintop or a regular 7 o’clock morning prayer? Inspired imagination or prudent pragmatism? A lone man gathering sticks on Shabbat in the desert literally gave up his life to answer this pressing question. Discover his answer.
