If you've noticed your content isn't getting found the way it used to, you're not imagining things. Search is changing fast, and AI is right in the middle of it. This week, I'm joined by my friend Rich Brooks, digital marketing veteran, agency owner, and host of the Agents of Change podcast, to break down what's actually happening behind the scenes with search and what creators need to do next.We talk about why informational SEO is taking a hit, how AI overviews and answer engines are changing traffic patterns, and why fewer visits doesn't automatically mean worse results. Rich explains the shift toward higher-intent traffic, branded search, and why trust, authority, and clarity matter more than chasing rankings. This episode is all about adjusting expectations and strategies without panicking. From optimizing service pages to thinking differently about PR, branding, and video content, Rich shares practical guidance to help creators and businesses stay visible, credible, and relevant in an AI-driven world.Key TakeawaysInformational SEO is losing ground: AI summaries often answer top-of-funnel questions before anyone clicks a website.Fewer visits can mean better leads: Traffic may drop, but intent is getting sharper, especially for service-based businesses.Optimize bottom-of-funnel pages first: Service and sales pages matter more than ever for conversions.Branded search is becoming critical: When people search for you by name, AI and search engines take notice.External citations matter: AI tools look at trusted directories, media outlets, and third-party sources to decide who to recommend.Consistency builds entity trust: Saying the same thing about your brand across your site, directories, and profiles helps AI understand who you are.Video and podcasting still matter: Showing up as a real human builds trust and authority AI can't fake.Answer real questions clearly: FAQs, structured content, and clear explanations help both humans and AI understand your expertise.ResourcesConnect with Rich Brooks on LinkedInAgents of Change Podcast: www.theagentsofchange.com/podcastsFlight New Media: www.takeflight.comEcamm - Your go-to solution for crafting outstanding live shows and podcasts. - Get 15% off your first payment with promo code JEFF15SocialMediaNewsLive.com - Dive into our website for comprehensive episode breakdowns.Youtube.com - Tune in live, chat with us directly, and be part of the conversation. Episode #137 of Work Comp Talk breaks down the real secrets to winning big money in California Workers' Comp even AFTER you've been fired, and yes, even if you quit, got laid off, or your boss is pushing you out. In this new segment, hosts Carmen Ramirez and Bilal Kassem uncover one of the most misunderstood rules in CA Work Comp: Post-Termination Defense, the rule that scares injured workers into thinking they lose all benefits the moment they leave their job. According to attorney Bilal, quitting or getting terminated does not automatically take away your rights under this rule, as long as your injury happened before the termination notice or is properly documented. They also explain what the law actually says, the biggest mistakes workers make, and the top 5 ways to strengthen your case even after termination. Takeaways: Quitting does not automatically forfeit workers' compensation rights. Post-termination defense prevents false claims after termination. Documenting injuries is crucial for pursuing claims. Cumulative trauma injuries may not be recognized until later. Employers can retaliate against employees who file claims. Consulting a lawyer is advisable for navigating claims. Insurance companies, not employers, are responsible for claims. Understanding your financial situation is important before quitting. Myths about workers' compensation can lead to misinformation. Rip welcomes Chuck Carroll — once a “fast food junkie”- now a beloved voice in the plant-based movement and host of the Exam Room Podcast. While plant-based eating helped normalize his blood pressure, stabilize his weight, and restore his vitality, Chuck also shares a vulnerable part of his story: despite doing everything right, he's now navigating a complex chronic illness with no clear diagnosis. His honesty underscores a truth many people quietly carry — that health journeys aren't linear, and sometimes illness arrives without explanation or fairness.Still, Chuck shows that healing isn't just physical. By talking openly about his struggles, he has found community, connection, and strength — and has created space for others to feel less alone in their own uncertainty. In This Episode, You'll Learn:How fast food addiction shaped Chuck's early life — and how he broke freeWhy gastric bypass surgery was only a temporary solutionHow a whole food, plant-based lifestyle helped transform his healthWhat it's like to face chronic illness even when you're “doing everything right”How sharing your story can lift the emotional and mental burden of illnessWhy Chuck remains committed to advocacy, transparency, and hopeEpisode WebpageWatch the Episode on YouTubeNeed support for your chronic illness? What happens when even surgery and supplements can't get a broken bone to heal? When Dr. Ben Weitz fractured his femur and was told it might never heal, he turned to the same principles he's used with patients for decades: ‘root cause, functional medicine' thinking. In this conversation, he shares how he designed a bone-healing protocol that combined targeted nutrition, vitamin K2 and vitamin D optimization, growth factors, and the right kind of exercise stimulus. We also discuss why bone loss and osteoporosis aren't just ‘aging issues', how testing like trabecular bone scores can reveal what DEXA scans miss, and why many medications block bone repair instead of rebuilding it. The story offers a powerful look at how science, persistence, and patient intuition can work together to restore strength naturally. If you've ever worried about bone density, fractures, or slow healing, this episode will help you understand what your bones really need to rebuild safely and effectively.Episode Timeline: 00:00 – Episode Preview01:35 – Podcast Intro 02:45 – Dr. Weitz's Hip Fracture Story04:40 – Rehab and Early Supplements08:20 – Deciding Against Revision Surgery09:50 – Understanding Bone Cells11:45 – Using Forteo for Healing12:45 – Why Monitoring Bone Markers Matters13:50 – Adding Growth Hormone14:50 – Bone Stimulator Protocol15:27 – Effective Exercises for Bone16:40 – Ballistic Loading Benefits17:55 – Bone Density vs Bone Strength18:37 – Understanding Trabecular Bone Score19:40 – Why Positioning Affects DEXA21:10 – Reading Full DEXA Printouts23:22 – Men Rarely Get Bone Scans27:02 – Bone Stimulator Options29:20 – Risks of Bone Medications33:50 – Considering Osteoporosis Treatment34:03 – Medication vs Natural Approach36:55 – Vitamin D and Vitamin K39:55 – Calcium Myths Explained42:27 – Iodine Contrast Considerations45:49 – Where to Find Dr. Ben47:22 – Podcast Outro47:42 – Final Takeaways & Dr. Eric's Closing ThoughtsAbout Dr. Ben Weitz: Dr. Ben Weitz is a Certified Sports Chiropractor and Functional Medicine practitioner for more than 35 years and he has worked with professional sports teams. They discuss the state of democracy around the world and why making America's government more like a European country might not be the solution to our current polarization that some democracy reformers hope it will be. We also contrast the current state of play in the US and UK and speculate as to why Keir Starmer has been such a disappointment and how the UK is not able to provide a model of centre-left governance to the US in the way that Jason might have hoped. On the latest episode of Pickaxe and Roll, Ryan Blackburn (questionable due to illness) fights through the show to discuss the Denver Nuggets win over the Sacramento Kings. Russell Westbrook did his best, but the Kings had no hope of slowing down Denver's offense so focused on creating great shots. Nikola Jokic was dominant, and the Nuggets could've scored more if their threes went in. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. In this reposted fan-favorite of The Awake & Winning Podcast, Kaylor Betts sits down with Dr. Melissa Sell, chiropractor and educator of German New Medicine (GNM), to explore a radically different view of health and disease. Dr. Sell explains the five biological laws discovered by Dr. Ryke Geerd Hamer—laws that reveal symptoms as purposeful adaptations, not random malfunctions. Together they challenge conventional and even holistic health models, asking: what if illness isn't something to fight, but something to understand? From Kaylor's chronic strep throat story to the emotional roots of cancer, this episode will push your perspective on healing, belief, and biology itself. Episode Highlights: German New Medicine, mind-body connection, illness as adaptation, subconscious conflicts, holistic health, emotional healing, self-awareness, chronic illness patterns, psychosomatic roots, belief systems, victim mindset, biological laws Takeaways: Disease may be the body's biological adaptation, not malfunction Conflicts in the psyche can manifest as physical symptoms Western medicine treats symptoms, not root causes Healthy lifestyles help, but don't resolve inner conflicts Self-awareness and emotional resolution can support true healing Fear of toxins and germs may itself trigger symptoms Conscious living and belief work are keys to wellness If this episode lit a fire under you, don't keep it to yourself. How to Trade Stocks and Options Podcast by 10minutestocktrader.com
Are you looking to save time, make money, and start winning with less risk? Then head to https://www.ovtlyr.com.Covered calls sound like a clever way to make extra income from stocks you already own—but once you really break it down, things aren't quite as rosy as they seem. In this video, we dig into the truth behind covered call funds and why they've become so popular with everyday investors, even though the math often tells a different story.Following along with Ben Felix's “Was I Wrong About Covered Calls?”, we take a closer look at how these strategies actually work and why the promise of “steady income” can come with a hidden cost. Covered call ETFs have been sold as safe, income-producing investments, but they often end up capping your upside potential and eating into long-term returns. Here's what we cover in the video:✅ What a covered call really is, and why it's basically the same risk as a short put.✅ How covered call ETFs consistently trail their underlying stocks by 2–4% a year.✅ Why those “juicy” yields aren't free money—they usually come from your own capital.✅ The problem with capping your upside while staying exposed to all the downside.✅ How real traders manage risk and create their own income without gimmicks. We walk through real examples, using actual numbers, so you can see how these funds perform in the real world. On paper, they look great—steady income, reduced volatility, and that comforting monthly payout. But when you zoom out, most of these funds end up losing ground to plain old index ETFs. The short-term income feels good, but it comes at the expense of long-term growth. It's easy to see why investors fall for the sales pitch. The idea of generating “passive income” without taking on extra risk sounds perfect. But the reality is that covered call strategies don't protect you from losses—they just limit how much you can win. Many of these funds look like they're paying you a big yield, when in fact, the stock price is quietly falling behind. The smarter move? Build your own income stream the right way. Use dividends, take profits strategically, and manage your risk like a professional. Covered calls might sound exciting, but real investing success comes from having a plan, sticking to it, and letting your portfolio do the heavy lifting over time. This isn't about chasing what's popular—it's about understanding what actually works. If you've ever been curious about covered call ETFs, or wondered whether they're really worth it, this breakdown will give you the straight answer.Gain instant access to the AI-powered tools and behavioral insights top traders use to spot big moves before the crowd. Your weekly guide to the music biz and how it all works. In this week's episode of The Price of Music, Steve and Stu dip into the postbag and answer some very astute listeners' questions which get to the heart of music streaming and live music!Matt asks why ticket prices can vary so much at the same venue? And he has a good real-world example: Maximo Park and Suede are playing Cambridge Corn Exchange soon – and tickets for Maximo Park £36.50 and Suede's are £45.50. If they both sell out, Suede will be making an extra £12,600 a night by his calculations. But does it really work like that? And why do the prices vary? Steve has dug in and found out.Richard asks about the credits information for songs on Spotify – and he has noticed that there's missing or incomplete information – so does this mean the songwriters don't get paid properly? Where is all this information anyway? And how is this one of the music industry's “big, big problems,” as Stu puts it? AND: look out later this week because we've got a bonus episode on its way . We'll bring you an actual Lord: Steve will be joined by Lord Kevin Brennan, the ex-MP – and now member of the UK's House of Lords – who talks to Steve about his leadership of the UK parliament's new fan-led review of live and electronic music, with the aim of improving the sustainability of grassroots live and electronic music to safeguard the success of the wider UK music industry. As ever, we welcome your feedback, emails and – in particular – any questions you might have about how the music biz works!Email us: thepriceofmusicpodcast@gmail.comSee you next week!Steve and Stuart======Support The Price of Music on Patreon:https://www.patreon.com/ThePriceofMusicFollow Steve on X - @steve_lamacqFollow Stuart on X - @stuartdredgeFollow The Price of Music on X - @PriceofMusicpodFor sponsorship opportunities, please email - joe@musically.com

One of the most common things I still hear from people who are talking to me about public speaking is "why do I still get nervous when I'm giving a speech?". Now the preamble to the question is always a little different. The person may have already gone to classes or toasting clubs, maybe the person had already been speaking for years and years and years, but for some reason they still suffer with nervousness every single time when they're trying to deliver a speech. It doesn't matter if they've had the best coaches and the best training, for some reason with all that practice the base level nerves still persist and this can cause them to get frustrated. They might start feeling like nothing they have worked towards has mattered or that they'll just never become a great public speaker cause, to them, great public speakers never get nervous. Well on today's episode I'm gonna dive into the reason that basically everyone still has this question, why you still suffer from it, and how to either fix the problem at it's roots, or find comfort in it.Show Notes: Why Do I Still Get Nervous When I Speak in Public?(https://www.fearlesspresentations.com/why-do-i-still-get-nervous-when-i-speak-in-public/)

What does 40 years in commercial real estate teach you?In this episode, we sit down with Allen Buchanan — one of the most respected veterans in brokerage — to talk about the habits, mistakes, and mindset that make or break a CRE career. We dig into:
Over the past few years, I've heard several people suggest that "blogging is dead." However, one of my favorite coaching clients earns her primary income from her blog and also hosts retreats and an annual conference for an entire community of food bloggers who earn an income from their blogging efforts. So I invited my client, Megan Porta, and asked her the question, "Can you still make money blogging in 2025?" Short answer: Yes. It's doable. It looks different than it did a decade ago. It requires real passion, patience, and a focus on what serves readers right now. Below are thorough show notes to meet you exactly where you are. If you want to start or revive a blog as a real income stream, these notes double as a step-by-step primer. What This Episode Covers Why blogging still pays when you pair patience with passion Megan has seen brand-new bloggers “crushing it.” The difference now is you cannot fake it. Your readers and Google both know when you do. Authenticity wins. The fastest realistic path to first income Join a quality ad network once your traffic qualifies. We name the two big players and their current thresholds. We also discuss why Google SEO and Pinterest are still the two traffic pillars that move the needle. Niching way down to win Broad “everything” blogs struggle today. Specific sub-niches serve specific people and get rewarded. Think “vegan cakes” instead of “vegan.” The love for your topic has to show up in every post. The collaboration playbook for early momentum Smart email list swaps. Contributing value inside the right Facebook groups without spamming. How one helpful post can put a niche creator “on the map” in months. Income beyond ads Digital products. Memberships. Sponsorships. How to think about affiliate income post-HCU and what still works if you are selective. Platform and tech choices that save you pain Why WordPress.org with solid hosting is still the move. Why a VPS and proactive security matter. Real-world cautionary tales about updates, backups, and malware. Key Takeaways and Insights 1) Yes, you can still get paid to blog. The bar is higher. If you bring patience and genuine expertise, you can absolutely build an income today. People starting in the last year or two are succeeding. The difference is the landscape. Authenticity and user value must drive your strategy. 2) Niche inside the niche Winning examples are laser-specific. Pick a tight segment of a larger category, then become unmistakably helpful to that reader. This is how you break through and build trust. 3) Traffic plan: SEO and Pinterest first To qualify for premium ad networks, prioritize traffic that comes from search and Pinterest. Current thresholds discussed in the episode: Mediavine at roughly 50,000 sessions per month and Raptive at roughly 100,000 pageviews per month. Build to those numbers, then let ad RPMs start compounding. 4) Collaboration without spam Use email list collaborations. Show up consistently inside large, topic-relevant Facebook groups. Earn trust by answering questions with real substance. This moves traffic quickly when your niche is dialed in. 5) Create on-topic, helpful content Google's Helpful Content updates pushed bloggers to stay tightly aligned with user intent. Keep posts on point for your niche. Tangential personal stories and off-topic content dilute perceived expertise and can hurt discoverability. 6) Monetization mix that works in 2025 Display Ads once you hit network thresholds. This becomes semi-passive as your library grows. Digital Products as quick wins: ebooks, guides, weekly prep plans. These are simple to produce and match your audience's immediate needs. Memberships if your audience is invested. Price points in food niches commonly range from about 5 to 20 dollars per month, often for ad-free experiences or exclusive content. Tech options include WordPress setups and hosted communities such as Circle, Skool, Slack, Discord, Mighty Networks, and niche tools like Member Kitchens. Sponsorships when you can articulate your audience's value. Niche reach can beat raw follower counts if you understand a sponsor's acquisition economics and lifetime value. Affiliate Income is trickier after recent updates. It can still work at higher commissions or with premium offers. Treat it as a supplemental play, not your core plan. 7) Stack the tech in your favor Choose WordPress.org for full control, proven SEO flexibility, and extensibility. Invest in good hosting. A VPS with strong uptime guarantees is worth it. Expect to pay roughly 89 to 150 dollars per month for reliability that protects your revenue. Treat security and backups as non-negotiables. Plugins and themes require regular updates. Malware exploits often come from simple neglect. Have a pro who can restore fast. This avoids losing days or weeks or years of content. Practical Playbook Phase 1. Choose a narrow niche and validate demand List ten posts your ideal reader would save today. Ensure all are tightly aligned with one outcome your niche cares about. Keep stories and extras on-topic so Google sees topical authority. Phase 2. Protect the asset Run WordPress.org on a reliable VPS and keep everything updated. Assign backups and security to a pro so you do not risk outages or data loss. Phase 3. Build a traffic engine Publish high-quality posts that answer exact questions your audience asks. Optimize for search and create Pinterest assets for each post. Aim for Mediavine or Raptive thresholds to unlock ad revenue. Phase 4. Accelerate through collaboration Join large, relevant Facebook groups. Contribute substantial answers that stand on their own. Start tasteful email list collaborations for quick, qualified traffic. Phase 5. Layer monetization Add an easy digital product that solves a specific use case. Test a simple membership once engagement is strong. Pitch sponsors when you can quantify your audience's fit and value. About My Guest Megan Porta has been blogging since 2010 and runs Eat Blog Talk, a podcast and community that supports food bloggers who want to grow and monetize. The CDC's advisory panel voted to recommend separate MMR and varicella shots for children under four, citing a slight seizure risk with the combined MMRV vaccine, a move strongly opposed by the American Academy of Pediatrics as misleading and confusing. In obesity care, a phase 3 trial showed oral semaglutide 25 mg led to an average 13.6% weight loss in adults without diabetes, reinforcing GLP-1 pills as an effective option. Meanwhile, a large study linked pediatric CT scan radiation to increased blood cancer risk, urging dose minimization and safer alternatives.
