Welcome to the Personal Development Trailblazers Podcast! In this episode, we dive into the power of animal communication and horsemanship. Anna Twinney has been sought out by zoos, sanctuaries, rescues, and people from all walks of life, including celebrities and the medical and veterinarian communities alike. Whether it be through private sessions, live and online classes, or her Animal Communication Mentorship program, her message of giving a voice to the voiceless has been heard on almost every continent. Anna's practice and her classes are founded in her ability to and the importance of relating specific, verifiable, and extremely helpful information. She became known for the many hats she would wear and her ability to connect with all species as a trustworthy linguist, behaviorist, medical intuitive, healer, mediator, life and business coach, minister and medium. With more than 10,000 consultations and over 200 hours of educational materials, the Ultimate Animal Communication Mentorship Course was launched. Before she embarked down the path of Animal Communication, Anna was a Police Officer with the British Constabulary. The philosophy within the British justice system is that violence should not be met with violence and as such clear communication is key. Anna trained extensively as an expert in her field holding many positions from the support of victims to the understanding of the criminal mind. The art of reading people's movements, behavior patterns, and understanding their agendas, coupled with listening to their perspectives Anna created a unique, highly compassionate, direct and effective style of conversation and interview that allows her to share the animals' messages with their human companions. An ability to read "in between the lines", gave her a unique understanding and capability that carried over into her Animal Communication. In 1997 Anna followed the call of the horses and was eventually recognized as one of the top 5% in her field as a natural horse woman. She became the first head instructor and board member of the Monty Roberts International Learning Center, opening doors for thousands of national and international students to the world of natural horsemanship. Her love and connection to the animal kingdom inspired Anna to expand her work from Natural Horsemanship to animal communication with all species. Now, along with her work as an Animal Communicator, her company, Reach Out to Horses, leads the horse whispering movement into the next generation incorporating telepathy and energy work as integral parts of her methodology. Anna is a contributing author to two books and a variety of national and international magazines, publications, and websites including Equine Wellness, Holistic Horse and Natural Horse, Horse's Hoof and Horsemanship Journal and Western Horse UK, just to name a few. She has launched over a dozen educational programs including Animal Communication: The Journey Within and the original Reiki: Energy Healing for Horses. Her work can be seen on international TV, video streaming services, and on her own YouTube channel - youtube.com/ReachOutToHorses. Anna has been featured on U.S. and international television, radio and internet programs, including Chinese State TV, FEI TV, Martha Stewart's Living, the BBC fly on the wall documentary Living in the Sun and the French TV Program, Echappées Belles. The first publication, a two-parter for Western Horseman, was on loading mule strings and braiding three-strand cargo ropes.  Many other magazines followed, including Equus, The Natural Horse, IDAHO, Colorado Life, and most recently, History. She also spent 12 years as a columnist and feature writer for The Fence Post, a weekly ag periodical. Three memoires topped the writing career, each of them about growing up with and eventually, living off-grid with horses: Bricks underneath a Hoop Skirt, Trucks are for Girls, and Like a Swarm of Locusts.   “You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher but your own soul.” - Swami VivekanandaMay you always be one with your horse, Caroline

Angela Davison is The Horse Herbalist, she has spent her life and career with horses in many different ways. Starting out in showjumping in her native country of England, she came to Australia to visit her Dad and decided to make a life here.Angela was one of the first licensed female jockeys in Australia. Now her story up until this point would make an excellent episode in itself. However, it gets even more interesting when she decided, after seeing so many horses who were not able to be helped by modern medical methods, when she herself was always back on the horse quite fast from her chiropractic treatments and the herbal remedies that her chiropractor gave her, to go on and study herbalism and body work for both humans and horses. This led her to a career of giving back to horses in quite a fascinating way. Angela took 7 years to develop a technique she calls hair testing. This is not taking hair and putting it into a machine and getting a report back. This is about connection with the horse on a deep level to find the cause of the symptom. In herbalism Angela learned how to treat the whole being instead of just the symptom so she developed this method to give her this edge and be able to get real results faster than she could without them. There was no need to do hundreds of dollars worth of tests to try and find the problem, she created a method to get right to the source. It might all sound a bit hard to believe, but after 20 years of results and thousands of cases of success under her belt, Angela is definitely the real deal. As a Horse Herbalist Angela has treated top performance horses including the partnership she sponsors Shannan Goodwin and her horse Astro who are competing in dressage at Grand prix level. This episode is full of great information for how we can all understand our horses a bit better and see them as whole beings. But the best part, for me, was hearing all of the stories of horses that she helped along the way. She tells such great stories of the results she has gained for horses all over the world from all disciplines and breeds. You can find more information on Angela and her hair testing and products at her website. When I choose people to come and work with my horses in any way, I look around for someone others highly recommend, then I check their credentials, and then I look for something else. What I look for is a complete passion, almost an obsession, for the work that they do. Someone who lights up when they talk about their work. Someone who can make you almost as excited as they are about the work that they do. And these people certainly see what they do almost as an honour, who feel blessed to be able to do so much to give back to horses in some way.In this episode I speak with Anna Minogue, who is an Equine Dentist, and Anna is one of those people I speak about above. In the interview you will hear the passion in her voice and if you miss it at all, just wait until we talk about brushing our horses teeth, that made her very excited indeed!I also chose to speak with Anna as she spent a long career initially as a vet nurse, so she lived in the word of pharmaceuticals and especially sedation in working with animals. Yet as an equine dentist she only uses sedation if she absolutely has to, every 200 horses or so. This really peaked my interest and I just had to speak with Anna to see how and why she made the transition to equine dentistry and how she is able to work so gently with horses doing what can be an invasive treatment for horses. She decided to get herself educated on horse behaviour and learned some techniques to help a horse feel at ease with her before putting a rasp in their mouth and waiting to see what would happen next! You will hear stories of some of the horses she has helped and how she loves our horses almost as much as we do. I certainly learned a lot in this conversation about horses teeth and the type of things to look for in my horses, as well as the questions to ask any dentist who I choose to work with my horses.I hope every horse out there gets an equine dentist with as much passion, knowledge and gentleness as Anna has.To find out more about Anna or to book her to work with your horse if you are in SE Qld, you will find her on her website and her Facebook Page
