POPULARITY
In this episode we discuss AI nostalgia videos, the most bummer months of the year, Liv's baby mittens for her rotting finger, Maddy's medical doctor lineage, the song Green Tambourine by Mikey, being attracted to TJ Detweiler, Mikey's objectum-sexual relationship with his bike, speculation about Gus' home life and his military dad, the Botox lips on the Digger Brothers, and SO MUCH MORE!!!
Come on, let's save the world-- AGAIN!On October 20, 2001, Mary-Kate and Ashley in Action premiered on the ABC block Disney's One Saturday Morning (according to Wikipedia, but we know it from ABC Family). The show was the first and only animated television series starring Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, and featured the twins fighting crime around the world with their robot dog, Quincy. Neither Becca nor Lani ever watched this show, mainly because it was marketed towards little children, but also because it didn't seem very good. Now, we see if we were right.Today we talk about the pilot episode, "SPF 5000," which we both watched for the very first time. And let's just say... we had some disagreements. Becca came at this review more level headed and Lani, being overworked and sleep deprived, was way more amused by the entire episode than any 30-something watching a Mary-Kate and Ashley cartoon should be.We discuss our initial impressions, our hopes and fears for future episodes, and even figure out this cartoon's place in the greater Mary-Kate and Ashley Universe. We also share our recent experiences at the Taylor Swift and Beyonce concerts, and explain why this episode isn't about the Barbie movie. So strap into your government funded airboat and pack your stinky ass cheese, because we're going on a cartoon ride for the next few weeks, and its gonna get weird!Watch the video version of this ep by subscribing to our Patreon here.Watch the full MK&A in Action series by clicking the link in SimplyOlsen's Instagram bio (which we are forever grateful for).Get the Mary-Kate and Ashley mugs we use in the podcast at EZinkDESIGNS's Etsy storeFind us on Social Media!Instagram: @theythoughtiwasyouTikTok: @theythoughtiwasyouBecca: @beccarothLani: @laniharmsWas this cartoon your favorite thing Mary-Kate and Ashley did??? In this episode we discuss hating music but loving band tees, the blaspheme of the term "frogging", Liv's genius idea for a horror tableau (TmTmTm), the transition into a fullblown Pigpen Pig Princess in the 'Peg, Maddy's HUGE (annoying) announcement, whether or not we could work Below Deck Med, how much we hate Guiseppe the pizza mascot, the bop that is the intro music, how Ronald Reagan was a tv writer, the bullying of rolly bag kids, Ardenes surprise bags, the difference of boob metrics by province and SO MUCH MORE!!!
Bri's back from vacation and feeling refreshed, so what better time than now to dive back into the Disney Descendants universe by taking a look at the trilogy's grand finale! Disney Descendants 3 is, in my opinion anyways, the obvious high point of the series... though it still has a few missteps here and there. So join us as we discuss among other things good girls gone bad, Disney's odd precedent for pairing up Maleficent with Hades, and Kristi being the only person on earth who remembers One Saturday Morning's "Stuart Day".
Hola everyone in and from the Real Human Bings zone! We love that you are still zoning with us. Here's another Frankensteined episode with some random bits we talked about. Specifically, how we'd fix playoff sports and a rant about rich people and corpos hating on the workers of the world. Yeah, that's right, we're true Marxists now guys. (And don't worry, we go down the same conversation rabbit holes we always do about D&D, Star Wars, and our own egos.) Lastly, Picks of the Week. That is all. The weekend is creeping up on us with a Thursday night like this I see no reason why we caynt watch Disney's "The Weekenders". This show for me felt similar to Rocket Power, with the Beach and Boardwalk scene plus some of the four main characters have similar. Overall when this show came on back in 2001 I still remember keeping the channel tunes to ABC's One Saturday Morning and if Recess was on next oh shit were you in for some treats. Welcome to the Toon Along!, Join me as I watch, play and review Cartoons, Movies, Video Games and TV Shows from the 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s as well as today, all while adding my personal perspective and opinions on the subject, so hop on as we take a ride back to the past for some deep memory driven entertainment on Toon Along! You’re watching:The WeekendersSeason: 2 Episode: 9 "Dixon" (2001)Check the Podcast out on Social Media for more info, news updates!!-WEBSITE-https://www.toonalong.com-YOUTUBE-https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsBRFFhpaINiVx9q0nBix4A-TWITTER-https://twitter.com/ToonAlong-REDDIT-https://www.reddit.com/user/ToonAlong-FACEBOOK-https://facebook.com/toonalong-i TUNES-https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/toon-along/id1486506690-SPOTIFY-https://open.spotify.com/show/1et6lZL2uoKGuX86vPbbYn-TWITCH-https://www.twitch.tv/toonalong

Sister, sister in the house! In the home studio today is my sister, Laura! On today's edpisode we talk about the shows we watched and loved growing up that were part of the T.G.I.F., One Saturday Morning, and TNBC lineup. We try and sing many of the theme songs from these iconic shows (spoiler alert: we did not do a good job) and we explore the impact these shows had on us. It is an episode full of nostalgia and many, many corny jokes between two sisters. And don't worry, we kept the arguing to a minimum so that our mom didn't threaten to pull the car over and make us walk home. Apologies for the colon massacre in this week's title, D Lovers, but we think about colons the same way TJ Detweiler thinks about recess - there's no such thing as too much. Which is why there is no fourth grader better suited to foil the world-devastating plans of Evil James Woods in this big screen adaptation of the One Saturday Morning classic. This is just one in a niche group of Disney films that were adapted from television series, which means our hosts' knowledge of the subject going in ranges from near-total ignorance to near-total adoration. In the end, it's the nostalgia for simpler times that win our hosts over. When you could count down the seconds until summer vacation, when hanging out by a pond casually tossing rocks with your friends was more than enough entertainment, and when mutual understanding and respect between student and principal could be forged through defeating megalomaniacal villains and roving gangs of ninjas. As summer draws to a close, join us as we celebrate the ultimate recess with TJ, Spinelli, Gretchen and the rest of the gang, right here on We Want The D.
