Notes:Fable mentioned the hero's journey as part of this episode. Here's a good description from Reedsy:Hero's Journey 101 - https://blog.reedsy.com/guide/story-structure/heros-journey/ The Verbivore consulted many resources while prepping for this episode, including the following:“George Lucas Tries to Explain the Real Meaning of the Star Wars Saga” - https://www.syfy.com/syfywire/george-lucas-tries-explain-real-meaning-star-wars-saga “Star Wars: Love is the Balance” by Wayward Jedi - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEYCYL_9jl8 “Star Wars Poetry” - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7ZW1gtCljs“What Do We Want From a Star Wars Movie?” by Patrick (H) Willems - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HeUGLUYYYNQ&list=PLK-VmT9palrRVx8KtxmPl4n_UC43uQY09&index=6 “The Last Jedi and the 7 Basic Questions of Narrative Drama” by Just Write - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CE7SkcoyVAI&list=PLK-VmT9palrRVx8KtxmPl4n_UC43uQY09&index=18 “Rogue One vs. The Force Awakens — The Fault in Our Star Wars” by Lessons From the Screenplay - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsIQa7sH5_Y&list=PLK-VmT9palrRVx8KtxmPl4n_UC43uQY09&index=7 “The Mystery Box - J. There are several lines that allude to their blindness and growing weakness, but the major one is where Mace Windu states in “Attack of the Clones” that their connection with the force is waning.“Star Wars Episode II - Attack of the Clones - Obi-Wan Kenobi reports to Yoda and Mace” - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTFWEHW_REs The Verbivore references the 1970s Star Wars Christmas Special. If you haven't seen it, we definitely don't recommend that you do. That's time you can never get back. :-) But, what we do recommend is the 2020 Lego Star Wars Holiday Special on Disney Plus. https://www.disneyplus.com/movies/lego-star-wars-holiday-special/22xf1U47vVe0 The Verbivore mentions that she thinks that at the end of The Rise of Skywalker Rey's yellow lightsaber and her overall path in the force could point to her being more like a Gray Jedi. In a new conversation series format, AJ sits down with AJ LoCascio (I promise it's less confusing when you listen). AJ LoCascio is a voice actor who's career started with the role of Marty McFly for the Back to the Future TellTale game series. Most recently he played the role of Han Solo for the Lego Star Wars Holiday Special. It also turns out that AJ is a huge Disney fan, and grew up with the Mouse House throughout the 90s. We talk about his career, the influences Disney has had on him personally and professionally, and some of his favorite attractions, shows, and food around the Disney parks. Shootin' the Breeze w Dave & Mike Intro to 2020 Christmas Hello Everyone, We are pleased to be able to talk about some of our favorite Christmas Episodes from various TV series. We are going to talk about one episode from Lego Star Wars, Seinfeld, HIMYM, and New Girl. We are grateful to be able to talk about Seinfeld, HIMYM and New Girl, these are great shows and Mike and I would recommend you give them a watch. We know with Lego Star Wars Holiday Special, this is not going to be an instant classic but when comparing this special with the first one, this one is by far better and uses things from all 9 movies. We do have to have the disclaimer this special is in no way cannon. We hope you enjoy these 4 episodes leading up to Christmas. From here at Crackers N’ Milk we wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Please Subscribe, Rate and Leave a Comment. Thank you so much for great support.

On this episode we discuss Katee Sackhoff breaking new ground, being the first Star Wars voice actor to make the jump from animation to live-action playing the same character. We also give our takes on the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special, and take a look at Daisy Ridley's recent comments about the sequel trilogy, the future of Rey, and her thoughts on Baby Yoda's eating habits. We close things out by discussing your submitted questions in #AskTheResistance. The Resistance base is open to all, so spread the word about our Star Wars podcast and join us! In this episode, Rachael and Kirsty discuss the following news: - Alan Dean Foster being denied royalties by Disney - Daisy Ridley comments on Rey’s ending - John Boyega speaks out about his Star Wars experience/the possibility of his return We then segue into a discussion of the Lego Star Wars Holiday Special, which (with some reservations) we found rather delightful. Listen along as we take animated Lego minifigures far too seriously, wrestle with complicated TROS-related feelings and appreciate Palpatine's comically evil machinations. We round off the episode with our discussion of The Mandalorian Chapter 12: The Siege. We share our highlights (baby Yoda goes to school!) while also getting serious about our hopes and fears for the future direction of the show. Do you think it's straying too far from a winning formula, or are you enjoying the increasing links to the grander Star Wars mythology? Listen to our discussion, and let us know what you think. Many thanks to Christy Carew for the Scavenger's Hoard theme, and Nemling for our artwork. If you have any questions for us or want to share your own thoughts on Rey, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org

We talk about the state of Disney fandom, the variety of Disney properties, and the inspiration behind the show. Then, Chris Buckley, animation director of the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special and Head of 3D Animation for Atomic Cartoons, joins us to talk about his career in animation, and speaks with us about how the Star Wars galaxy and LEGO combine to make a funny, engaging world the entire family can enjoy. Chris talks about LEGO humor, disobeying the laws of physics, Boba Fett piloting the Falcon - and more. Finally, Kristen Carr checks in after a morning on the recently-reopened Buena Vista Street! She talks to us about the shopping, the eating - including Carthay Circle - and most of all, the cast members who make the Disney magic feel so real. Plus - our holiday gift suggestions.. and more.

The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special brings back computer animated, extruded-plastic versions of Rey, Finn, Poe, Chewie, Rose, Lando and the droids. The only actors voicing their original characters are Billy Dee Williams, Kelly Marie Tran, and Anthony Daniels. It's Life Day (a Wookiee holiday of peace and harmony). While the rest of the characters set up for a party on the Millennium Falcon, Rey and BB-8 go off on a journey that brings them in contact with pretty much every major character in the entire Star Wars saga.
On this episode we discuss Ron Howard's recent comments regarding Solo and the potential for a follow up, including his belief that the growing fan support for the film bodes well for Lucasfilm to revisit it. We also talk about The Mandalorian's streaming performance and the need for unabashed silliness that we'll get out of the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special. On top of it all, we answer your submitted questions to close things out in #AskTheResistance. The Resistance base is open to all, so spread the word about our Star Wars podcast and join us! Make sure to subscribe free to the show on your preferred platform because we have podcasts Monday, Thursday, and The Mando Fan Show on Fridays!
The Mandalorian and Baby Yoda will appear in the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special, and if you ever needed something fun to take your mind off of things in the world, this will be it. On today's episode of the show, we'll also talk about the logline for Chapter 10 of The Mandalorian (out today!), a real-world Mustafar, and how the new LEGO show coming November 17th could fill the void you may have felt at the end of the Skywalker Saga.
