Jacques Spitzer is the CEO of Raindrop, a four-time Emmy® award-winning creative agency. Under his leadership, Raindrop has produced high-impact ads that have generated over a billion views and more than $1 billion in campaign sales for brands like Dr. Squatch, Manscaped, and Native. Jacques was named one of California's most visionary CEOs by the Los Angeles Times. He also co-produced the award-winning documentary Wampler's Ascent and is an investor in multiple consumer brands. Jacques is the author of People Love Turkey Sandwiches, a collection of marketing parables designed to inspire innovation. In this episode…  Many brands rely on a single ad channel, like Meta, to drive sales, but this can stall growth. Yet these brands often realize their brand-centric content doesn't perform on other platforms like TikTok, YouTube, or connected TV. How can brands create compelling, high-performing ads tailored for multiple channels without losing their identity? Award-winning creative strategist Jacques Spitzer maintains that each channel requires a unique creative approach, and brands must adjust content for various viewing experiences to drive engagement. Additionally, rather than creating ads centered solely around your brand identity, you should generate consumer-focused content by addressing your audience's needs and emotions. Jacques also warns against relying too heavily on UGC or performance-driven creative without investing in top-of-funnel, storytelling-based content that builds long-term brand affinity. In this episode of the Up Arrow Podcast, William Harris interviews Jacques Spitzer, CEO of Raindrop, about the secrets to creating high-impact content for multiple advertising channels. Jacques talks about Dr. Squatch's risky campaign, the components of a great ad, and the difference between high-growth and stagnating brands.

Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 555 of the Chasing Tone Podcast -  The Wampler Cryptid is a beast of a fuzz pedal - and we try a super inexpensive compressor! Somebody has been hanging out with legends and it is not Brian this time and Richard stuffs his face as a result. He had been to see Albert Lee and was mightily impressed. He learned some interesting and encouraging tips by having front row seats and is excited to tell us about it and he is also inspired and may have found the fountain of youth before the caffeine kicks in.Have you ever heard about the Indian Tar Pit squid? It is a type of cryptid that inspired the concept for the all new Wampler Cryptid Fuzz pedal. The guys touch on it before Richard shoots off in a completely random direction because he has bought an incredibly cheap pedal. He is then confused by film ratings. The industry mourns the passing of a legend so the guys touch on it and Blake gives us a bit of history to add context. Brian discovers he was in a book and it took him by surprise and also did an interview with some folk from Richard's part of the world. Blake has to leave early and so the guys go on a deep dive into an inexpensive pedal brand and are really impressed. Tweed amp woes, Chainsaw juggling, We released a new fuzz, Hello Sailor, Germanium plans...it's all in this week's Chasing Tone!We are on Patreon now too!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/chasingtonepodcast)Awesome Course, Merch and DIY mods:https://www.guitarpedalcourse.com/https://www.wamplerdiy.com/Find us at:https://www.wamplerpedals.com/https://www.instagram.com/WamplerPedals/https://www.facebook.com/groups/wamplerfanpage/Youtube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdVrg4Wl3vjIxonABn6RfWwContact us at: podcast@wamplerpedals.comSupport the show

Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 550 of the Chasing Tone Podcast -The hardest working podcast in town, the new Rockman, and where is your guitar made?  Blake is back from NAMM, appears to be relatively healthy, and somehow everything is Richard's fault. Speaking of the erstwhile king of fuzz, he has been listening to some country music and he has an observation and makes a public apology again. Blake is interrogated for all the good NAMM info and it turns out he doesn't have anywhere near as much as the guys hoped. Do you care a lot about her your guitars are manufactured? Fender have recently announced there new "Standard" range which is made in Indonesia and the guys talk about whether that actually makes any difference to the quality of the finished article. Brian considers becoming an email scammer in order to get noticed by Musicman and expresses some levels of exasperation about some of the responses to he new MXR Rockman pedal. Richard was impressed with the new Tone King floor amp pedal thang and makes some wild speculation and has also sold a Telecaster. Brian practices firing him on air. Brian, Blake, and Richard are joined by NAMM President John Mlynczak for Episode 548 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - Everything you wanted to know about NAMM but were too afraid to ask... The guys welcome a very special guest this week - John Mlynczak, president and CEO of NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) - and he gives us an in-depth and candid history of his involvement with NAMM and what that actually entails. We all know about the show (that Richard will never be allowed to go to) but NAMM stands for so much more for the music community. John gives us a fascinating breakdown of his personal musical and work history, how he landed the job, and just how many hats he wears. We couldn't have recorded this episode without discussing the tragic fires that are currently raging in LA. John gives a passionate and emotional response about what the fires mean for the show, what they mean for the wider community, and what NAMM are doing to help. He also confirms exactly what the situation is with regards to the show this January so if you have read any rumors, and are unsure about what's going on, John sets everything straight. Finally we ask some of those difficult questions that you always wanted to know about NAMM. Will the noise police be there? Will Brian be forced to sit next to the cymbals for 3 days straight? Will Blake eat his entire bodyweight in barbecued meat? Yes to all three - maybe! The British King of Fuzz gets dealt a serious blow and there is much laughter. This is a very special episode and we would like to thank John and his team for helping to set this up. Brian received some ire from the internet (shock horror) about an Ai advert and it upset Richard but made Brian happy. A video comparing every current Wampler drive pedal has been put up on YouTube and the guys discuss it.Richard built a guitar over Christmas by taking a Squier donor and it didn't go quite according to plan so he tells us about it in quite a bit of detail. There are some great tips for anyone wanting to build a guitar - namely by doing the opposite of some of the things Richard did. Brian tries to lead Richard into more gear purchases. The guys then look at a response to Behringer about their LM Drum from one of the pioneers of music synthesis. The debate about budget pedals rolls on as Keeley announces some wallet friendly pedals so the guys talk about it before lamenting one of Brian's less successful pedals. Richard has some of John Petrucci's cologne and the guys discuss their signature scents. Brian tells us about some strange customs in the Wampler household and Richard thinks he's a comedian. He also has some nice things to say about his missing brother in arms. Brian inspires a new mega business idea. Is Rock music as we know it dead or dying? The guys ponder this because there are worrying signs and Richard thinks the time might be up for this period of wonderful guitar based music. He also tells tales of British school life and Brian is amused. One of Richard's favourite musicians has retired and he reflects on that.Richard has ordered a new breadboard and a new pedal kit and he is excited as Brian also finds some new toys. Wampler and Vespe couldn't do it alone, though, so they called in the calvary in the form of the very funny comedian, author, and actor, DC Pierson (Mystery Team, The Boy Who Couldn't Sleep and Never Had To, Captain America: Winter Soldier). The plan is for DC to come back again and again until he's helped us cover every single one of the Transformers movies. In order to finish this journey, we must first take a step and that step is with the 2007 Michael Bay first film that kickstarted this shockingly huge franchise. We talk through this movie act by act, ridiculous moment by ridiculous moment, and weigh the blockbuster spectacle of the era it was released in against today's quite different landscape. Comic book legend Brian Michael Bendis (creator of Miles Morales, author of House of M, The Ultimates, Torso) decided, for some reason, to talk about Steven Spielberg's 1941. This was the director's first failure, an over caffeinated live action Looney Tunes look at how the post-Pearl Harbor hysteria hit Southern California. This kitchen sink of a movie is the brainchild of Bob Gale, Robert Zemeckis, and John Milius, and the film Spielberg followed up his one-two punch of Jaws and Close Encounters with. The discussion is focused primarily on what Spielberg learned as a filmmaker from this critically panned film, how it humbled him, and what we actually like and dislike about the movie. Wampler also pulls some comic book stories out of our guest before revealing that this movie super got on his nerves.

Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 523 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - A new pedal and we broke the internet again...Picture the scene. It is a beautiful summer Tuesday night. The guys are chatting away merrily about a load of random nonsense. Richard is congratulating himself about the launch of the new Wampler website. Brian was farming goats. Blake was, well - the less said about that, the better. Little did Richard realise that 24 hours later his world would be shattered by crazy demand for Wampler's latest release...But that is now and this was then, and we welcome Blake back to the fold from his travels and he tells us about how he jumped off a bridge. Richard has a brand new Internet. Brian does not have a brand new guitar. But he has a new pedal out, and he and Richard discuss it, but neither realise the chaos that was to come...If you own multiple guitars, have you ever played them all in one sitting? The guys chat about what this does for you. Blake has played a bender equipped Tele and tells us all about it. Meanwhile Richard is hankering after some fancy analog effects and he tries to convince Brian with some help from Blake.Germanium madness, Al Gore Rhythm, Time travelling, Pedal beer, Foolish predictions...it's all in this week's Chasing Tone!We are on Patreon now too!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/chasingtonepodcast)Awesome Course, Merch and DIY mods:https://www.guitarpedalcourse.com/https://modyourownpedal.com/Find us at:https://www.wamplerpedals.com/https://www.instagram.com/WamplerPedals/https://www.facebook.com/groups/wamplerfanpage/Youtube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdVrg4Wl3vjIxonABn6RfWwContact us at: podcast@wamplerpedals.comSupport the Show.

Elijah Wood, who is known as an actor, producer, DJ, and who also happens to be our boss here at The Spiel, joins Vespe and Wampler to discuss one of Steven Spielberg's most beloved films: E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. There's so much ground to cover with this one, from the immaculate cast, the huge cultural impact, and the sheer amount of pure Steven Spielberg heart poured into it that this rowdy trio somehow didn't have enough time to diverge into a thorough Mac and Me discussion. It is a shame, but we promise the resulting conversation will tickle your nostalgia center a bit while making you laugh a whole lot.

Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for episode 504 of the Chasing Tone Podcast!Blake has been drinking from the special cabinet again and Richard is contemplating a new hobby and thinks he saw one of the best demos he has ever seen for the new Ego 76. Brian learns a new technique for equipment usage and it shatters his mind. Richard tells us of how he recently reconnected with someone who was also making DIY pedals and reflects upon legendary tales of yore. You don't need a bicycle if you have a horse according to our friend from Portland, and Richard laments Brian's recent decisions and tries to shut him up. The industry reacts to the death of the Bob Heil, inventor and innovator, and the guys look back a little at his legacy and his most famous product, the Heil Talk Box. Epiphone have released an expensive new 335 and the guys are obliged to discuss it in detail and Blake has quite the tale to tell. Richard tries to invent a new game and fails with spectacularly mediocre results. Meanwhile Brian is lusting after amplifiers and manoeuvring skilfully but becomes alarmed at words that fall out of Blake's mouth. There are some bizarre impersonations.  The Iron Horse pub, Peter Frampton, Dave Grohl, Vox guitars, The thickiest, Auction losses, Victory amps ...it's all in this week's Chasing Tone! Thanks to all our supporters - you are awesome! We are on Patreon now too!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/chasingtonepodcast)Awesome Merch and DIY mods:https://modyourownpedal.com/collections/booksFind us at:https://www.wamplerpedals.com/https://www.instagram.com/WamplerPedals/https://www.facebook.com/groups/wamplerfanpage/Youtube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdVrg4Wl3vjIxonABn6RfWwContact us at: podcast@wamplerpedals.comSupport the show

Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for episode 503 of the Chasing Tone Podcast!Richard has seen a film about the history of Amplifiers recently and he is dumbstruck that he is the only one of the trio that has even heard of it whilst Brian criticizes his accent. Richard also discusses a large legal issue facing Tik Tok and the use of certain music in their fun data mining social app. This turns into a discussion about AI video creation and a very poor Wonka based experience in Scotland. Wampler are releasing a new pedal and Brian elucidates in a kind of random fashion. He may have leaked this pedal on another podcast recently but with some gentle prodding he goes into great detail. This episode is being released twelve hours before the official release so it's kinda an exclusive for our awesome listeners. Sorta. Kinda. Richard bought an inexpensive new pedal and is super happy.  Do you use a lightweight rig for gigging or do you take your full pedalboard? The guys chat about this common dilemma and Brian makes some suggestions before giving us his best Jon Bon Jovi impression. This show then deteriorates into further silliness as Brian points out this podcast is an organic thing that just needs to be ridden.    Ampire, Parliament Funkadelic, Weiner caps, Negative Ned, Billy and the Butcherman...it's all in this week's Chasing Tone!

Brian, Blake, and Richard are joined by the legends that are Max Jeffrey and Travis Feaster for this special 500th episode of the Chasing Tone Podcast! In this celebratory episode of the Chasing Tone Podcast we are joined by the very two fellers that started this journey off with Brian - Travis Feaster and Max Jeffrey. This is a podcast first for Chasing Tone but fair warning - things get out of hand real quick as we catch up with these two titans of tone.  There are revelations and confessions aplenty as we explore Brian's "Lost Years" and Richard asks a very insensitive question which turns into a ridiculous story.  Yes, it is that story and somehow it involves diminished chords and breaking one of Brian's amplifiers. The guys chat about the problems of modern technology and laugh at the  foolishness of others whilst Travis keys us in to some cool music-tech developments. The guys also discuss the earliest days of Wampler pedals and offer their collective take on how this podcast came to be and how the company got to the where it is today. Travis lets us in on a terrible joke in poor taste about the name of the show and Max tells us about some of the guiding principles that launched it back in the day.  Mr Butts, Green ringers, Dog theramins, Pedal Hero, Hashtag hashbrown, Wampler pedal tease...it's all in this week's Chasing Tone!We are on Patreon now too!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/chasingtonepodcast)Awesome Merch and DIY mods:https://modyourownpedal.com/collections/booksFind us at:https://www.wamplerpedals.com/https://www.instagram.com/WamplerPedals/https://www.facebook.com/groups/wamplerfanpage/Youtube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdVrg4Wl3vjIxonABn6RfWwContact us at: podcast@wamplerpedals.comSupport the show

Klon. There are few words in the guitar world that will get guitarists clamoring, foaming at the mouth, or shouting hysterically like the word Klon. (I'll let you decide if that is a negative or a positive in your own mind.) So much so that even the best clones of the legendary circuit can send folks right into a frenzy. And if those clones are using some of the same hard-to-source components as the original? Well, people lose their almost as hard as they do over an original! My buddies over at Wampler Pedals had just that happen at the end of last year with the Germanium Tumnus release, and I invited my buddy/co-host Richard Oliver (a man of many hats at Wampler) on the podcast to discuss just that. Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for an all-new episode of the Chasing Tone Podcast!Brian has a new piece of gear and he is very happy with it so tells us all about it - could it mean the introduction of a new form factor for Wampler gear? Meanwhile Richard isn't feeling himself (turns out he had Covid brewing but didn't realise it) and Blake has a guitar mystery. Do you hang your guitars or put them on a stand? The guys discuss the pros and cons before Brian makes a cannibalistic confession. Blake has been playing with the Wampler Metaverse Delay plugin and tells us about a neat trick he has discovered before further discussion over delay algorithms and delay pedals commences. Richard asks the question that everybody has been asking once again and Brian considers the commercial implications of his thought process. Does the artwork for an album still have relevance in the digital streaming world? Richard has recently watched a documentary about Hipgnosis, famous album cover designers to the greatest bands of their era, and is equally inspired and moved.  He then makes a random confession and walks into a trap.  Brians special bakes, Brad Paisley, Germanium ICs, Mr Dynamite, Crazy tube circuits...it's all in this week's Chasing Tone! This episode is sponsored by the fine folk at Stringjoy.comThanks to all our supporters - you are awesome! We are on Patreon now too!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/chasingtonepodcast)Brian's new online courses are here:http://www.guitarpedalcourse.comAwesome Merch and DIY mods:https://modyourownpedal.com/collections/booksFind us at:https://www.wamplerpedals.com/https://www.instagram.com/WamplerPedals/https://www.facebook.com/groups/wamplerfanpage/Youtube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdVrg4Wl3vjIxonABn6RfWwContact us at: podcast@wamplerpedals.comSupport the show

Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for an all-new episode of the Chasing Tone Podcast!Brian welcomes us with tales of the sheer mania that occurred when we released a limited edition pedal that sold out instantly and he now wants to start manufacturing diodes for a living. There is some chatter about the technology inside the new Germanium Tumnus, the guys try to dispel a few common myths, and Richard tells us how he managed to break Google - and then invents something completely useless.  Blake and Brian give away a few video production tips for anyone trying to create their own gear channel and Richard laments the marketing efforts he and Brian made for a pedal that had already sold out. Meanwhile Brian is thinking about setting up a Wampler custom shop and gives you, dear listener, a heads up on this while Blake dreams of a new Leviathan fuzz and Richard has an epiphany! Richard is worried about a porcine invasion into American lands and he quizzes the guys until there is a display of utter stupidity and farm based questioning. A proclamation about a new fuzz kit for the royal realms is heralded by Blake who also has a new gear day with an unexpected piece of kit and the guys love it. Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for an all-new episode of the Chasing Tone Podcast! We start off with an unusually medical introduction and Blake has new monitors but is very secretive about them but offers some beauty tips. Meanwhile Richard has had a goody bag from the amazing Markus Reeves of Reeves Electro and was highly impressed. Blake opens up an old wound with Richard and it stings. It stings hard. What takes 300ma and makes the Internet lose its mind?  There's a new tuner from the tech wizards at Walrus Audio and the guys talk about it and Brian has some ideas on how to use it before evoking "that" solo again. He also gives us a few interesting tips on tuning and his favorite tuners. The new Beatles video makes Richard scratch his head but Brian is surprisingly indifferent. Richard asks whether the Beatles are the greatest pop group of all time and this leads to Blake singing some Backstreet Boys. Blake wants a new signature Stratocaster and Richard takes the proverbial but admits that it is a beautifully put together guitar before dreaming up a new way of blackmailing potential advertisers. Then the British government disconnects Richard from the grid. Brian has been working on a new course about gain and he tells us all about it. Meanwhile Brian had a listener tip off about impulse responses. Meris have also released a new pedal - the Mercury X - a reverb pedal with lots of fun options and Blake has being playing with it while Richard laments not having one and Brian channels the Australian Beatles.
