Whether God calms our storm, takes us out of it, or sits with us in it, He is always there for us. He always cares and will never forsake us. (Deuteronomy 31:6-8) He can control everything, but He doesn't always stop everything. If He did, we wouldn't need to trust Him. We can live when nothing appears right and when everything goes swimmingly, for He is with us in all situations giving us the strength to make it through and beyond our circumstances. Peace comes from exercising faith in the character of God and His Word. We can have peace in the midst of challenges when we remember that “all things work together for the good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28). We can choose peace rather than give way to fear and worry. Inner peace resulting from a relationship with God allows us to keep things in proper perspective. Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without - Gautama Buddha   Gautama Buddha was an ascetic and spiritual teacher of ancient India who lived during the latter half of the first millennium BCE.  He was the founder of Buddhism and is revered by Buddhists as an Enlightened being whose teachings sought a path to freedom from ignorance, craving, rebirth and suffering.   So how does one go about finding peace within if they do not have peace within? I think it lies within the ability to connect with past peaceful experiences or in creating new ones.

God gives real lasting peace of mind to His people who return to truly rest in Him. Real Peace Comes with Really Resting in Christ.

 Prophecies of The King of PeaceToday we are going to survey the prophecies made about Jesus as the Messiah who would come to bring peace and reconciliation. BUT… would be rejected by humanity.The Messiah Would Be Rejected[ca 740-700 B.C.] Isaiah 52:13 - 53:3 Jews who knew the scriptures were eagerly expecting a powerful Messiah figure to restore Israel to its former position of honor, Godly purpose, and dominant status on the world stage.  They understood “the servant of the Lord” to be the Messiah come with great ruling power. For example; Isaiah 42:1-4. Embedded in these prophecies of the Messiah were a subtext of suffering and death which confused the Jews. These prophecies of the suffering and rejected servant only made sense after Jesus first coming. Jesus had prepared the disciples for this. He told them the rejection would come and the contempt  would come Luke 17:25, Matthew 16:21, Mark 10:34. Yet like so many other prophecies they only really got it after it came to pass.
