Send us a textThis year has been a big one for me in terms of my library. I got a new one! Well, sort of. My library got a complete facelift and it does look totally new! And without doors, which, honestly, I'm not a fan of. I would like doors on the library. But alas, no doors look to be coming anytime soon. Regardless, I have new paint, a beautiful circulation desk, and lovely shelves. So while I can hear everything being said in the office, the hallways, and even the gym, the view is nice! :PThis is all in preparation for 6th grade students joining our school in 2026. I'm glad I've always made this podcast for 6, 7 and 8th grades, since it will work out wonderfully once we have the younger students with us. Hope everyone has a great Spring wherever you might be!

It's another trilogy episode, with this one focusing on the theme of "revenge". Can you believe it? Homer makes an effort! Trust us, we were just as surprised as you were. Honestly though this was quite an enjoyable story that saw Homer take the family to Barnacle Bay, in order for Marge to relive a happy childhood memory. It then transitions into a parody of The Perfect Storm, with an environmental message at the end. Mostly Superheroes https://www.youtube.com/@mostlysuperheroesSponsored by www.betterhelp.com/TheBarnSpider-Man, one of Marvel Comics' most iconic superheroes, has captured the hearts of audiences through numerous film adaptations over the years. From the early days of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy to the recent collaborations between Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, the Spider-Man movies have delighted fans with their thrilling action, heartfelt storytelling, and exploration of the beloved character's journey. This summary will provide an overview of the Spider-Man film franchise and highlight the key elements that have made these movies so popular. The first Spider-Man film was released in 2002, directed by Sam Raimi and starring Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker, the young high school student who gains incredible spider-like powers after being bitten by a genetically modified spider. "Spider-Man" introduced audiences to the origins of the character, his struggles with responsibility, and his iconic battles against villains such as the Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe) and Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina). The film was a massive success, blending action, romance, and a genuine portrayal of the beloved web-slinger.The success of the first film led to two equally well-received sequels, "Spider-Man 2" (2004) and "Spider-Man 3" (2007). "Spider-Man 2" continued Peter Parker's journey as he balanced his personal life and his duty as Spider-Man, battling the dangerous Doctor Octopus. The film received critical acclaim for its character development, emotional depth, and stunning action sequences. "Spider-Man 3" faced some criticism for its crowded storyline and excessive villains but still managed to entertain audiences with its epic battles and Peter's internal struggle against his dark side.In 2012, the franchise underwent a reboot with "The Amazing Spider-Man," directed by Marc Webb and starring Andrew Garfield as the titular hero. The film presented a fresh take on the character's origins, exploring Peter Parker's relationship with Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) and his battles against the Lizard (Rhys Ifans). "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" (2014) continued the story, introducing the electrifying villain Electro (Jamie Foxx) and delving further into Peter's past. Despite the film's mixed reception, Garfield's portrayal of Spider-Man was widely praised.Following the lukewarm response to "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios reached an agreement to incorporate Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Tom Holland was cast as the new Spider-Man, making his debut in "Captain America: Civil War" (2016) and subsequently appearing in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" (2017), "Spider-Man: Far From Home" (2019), and "Spider-Man: No Way Home" (2021).The MCU iteration of Spider-Man revitalized the character, capturing the essence of a young Peter Parker navigating high school, superhero life, and mentorship under Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.). "Spider-Man: Homecoming" received acclaim for its humor, refreshing take on the character, and the compelling villain Vulture (Michael Keaton). "Spider-Man: Far From Home" expanded Peter's world, taking him on a global adventure while introducing the enigmatic Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal). These films showcased the interconnectedness of the MCU, providing a wider narrative landscape for Spider-Man.The most recent installment, "Spider-Man: No Way Home," further embraced the multiverse concept, bringing back fan-favorite characters from previous Spider-Man films, including Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man. The film delved into the consequences of PThis episode is sponsored by www.betterhelp.com/TheBarn and presented to you by The Barn Media Group.
The good mic didn't pick up. I bought some new parts - I'll get it right, don't worry! :PThis is the fourth video in a series that is slowly getting more into cognitive processes, MBTI, and the differences between all our wonderful types. In this video, I talk briefly about introversion and extraversion. There are many stereotypes that people throw out there that take away from what's really going on under the surface. Hopefully I cleared some of them up! One key to remember that wasn't focused on yet in this video is the balance that the auxiliary function brings in terms of guiding you out of your main "home world" of Introversion or Extraversion.TL;DRIntroversion is a focus of mental energy on the inner world and the ideas and personal (subjective) experiences. Think of it as a defense-focused, "elf-like" mindset or a 4x / tactics game.Extraversion is a focus of mental energy on the outer world of what's verifiable or what should be readily understood by being objectively present in the environment. Think of it as an offense-focused, "dwarf-like" mindset or a RTS game.Disclaimer: This is all my understanding based on what I've studied in my spare time. Psychology and games are hobbies. Food has become quite problematic in many people's lives. That's quite ridiculous when you consider food is a necessity for survival.I hope you learn to control your binge-eating quickly so you can start living a healthy, full life. This is not really about food, though. It's about the types of foods we have available to us in our modern world. When it comes to binge eating, addictive man-made foods affect us in terrible ways. They cause us to drastically overeat, not because our bodies need that kind of food, but because we force our bodies to become hooked on it. Eating disorders, like bulimia, anorexia nervosa, and binge eating, are often life-threatening, serious conditions that affect not only a person's physical health but also their emotional and mental health. It's all because of an addiction to the dopamine--the “feel good” hormone released in the reward center of the brain. An addiction that's just as powerful as being addicted to alcohol or drugs. What exactly is binge eating?Binge eating is the most common of all eating disorders which affects people, regardless of age, gender or race. Characterized by eating an excess of food and frequently beyond the point of fullness. It's a psychological illness that acts as a diversion for avoiding the real root of our problems, such as fear of rejection or failure, depression, anxiety, or guilt. It's a recurring issue that leads to serious health issues if not resolved early enough. What ways can binge eating be treated?Recent studies have proven that those seeking treatment respond well and improve considerably. Conquering it may be a daily endeavor, but with these tips, you can regain control of your eating and life.1. Have courage to face it.2. Evaluate the purpose of your excessive eating.3. Don't diet.4. Seek help from professionals. If you're a hands-on kind of person like me who would first like to try working on yourself, you can try this effective method.Go to wlmind.com/pwp, that's w-l-m-i-n-d.com/p-w-pThis self-study program will get you on the right track fast and save you a whole lot of money at the same time.I wish you well! PThis installment of The Forbidden Fruit will reminisce about the good ole days when times were simpler. How did we get by with what we had then? Remember when all we had were black and white TV's, or when TV went off at midnight? Remember when we could leave the house without a phone? How about the time when cashiers had to punch in the price of your food directly into the cash register? Don't ask any young person what an 8 track is. This should be a fun show going down memory lane for the old and a look into the past for the young. We also debate a calle about Natural Selection and Intelligent Design.
