Are you into phreaking for phone sex? Do Rollerblades turn you on? Does the name Captain Midnight mean anything to you? Have you been to Chuck Woolery's Wienerbarn of Science? If so, "Hackers" is the movie for you. This 1995 box-office bust gave us prime Angelina Jolie, Johnny Lee Miller and Matthew Lillard (plus a sub-prime Fisher Stevens) wearing the best cutting-edge fashion the studio could muster. It highlighted blazing-fast 28.8 kbps modems, sweet online handles and some unnecessarily trippy animations. In this episode, the Shat Crew discusses Hackers' gratuitous product placement, the movie's incredible two-disc soundtrack, the exploits of the late Kevin Mitnick and the missed opportunity for a "Kids" crossover film. Spooky Season continues with this late ‘90's throwback to sci-fi horror which is very reminiscent of both Alien and The Shining – this was directed by Paul W.S. Anderson who gave us the Resident Evil series. It's basically a very gory haunted-house-in-space thriller which flopped upon initial release 25 years ago but has since gained quite a cult following. And for good reason because it features a lot of freaky imagery along with a pretty strong cast including Laurence Fishburne, Sam Neill, Kathleen Quinlan, Joely Richardson, and Jason Isaacs. Let's head off into space where no one….can understand your messages if they're spoken in Latin. :o Host: Geoff Gershon Editors: Geoff and Ella GershonProducer: Marlene Gershonhttps://livingforthecinema.com/Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/Living-for-the-Cinema-Podcast-101167838847578Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/livingforthecinema/Letterboxd:https://letterboxd.com/Living4Cinema/

Anthony Michaels has been playing guitar since 1992. After playing with a local act up until 1999 he split off to follow his own path as a solo artist. In 2006, with the help from Scott Rainey as producer and engineer, he released his self-titled debut album. It was immediately apparent to listeners that this was a guitar player of great fervency and technical skill, and also a musician with deep understanding and dedication for his guitar playing and composing. Anthony's self-titled debut album gained him immediate attention and acclaim with fans and professionals in the music industry resulting in an indie record deal, endorsements, interviews, magazine ads, radio play, and international touring. The follow up CD, 2009's "Into the Light" only further solidified Anthony's reputation for unfeigned melodies, fluid soloing and a solid commitment to songwriting. In 2010 Anthony retired from music, but as of 2018 Anthony has returned to play Guitar and create more music............... https://www.reverbnation.com/anthonymichaelsguitarist https://www.facebook.com/anthonymichaelsguitarist --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
