Brian's Pick: UNLV +4.5 Jordan's Pick: BSU -4.5 FRIDAY: Tulane Green Wave (-4.5) at No. 24 Army Black Knights, 8:30 p.m. ET, ABC Tulane blew their CFP chances last week but should rebound here as their defense limits Army's ground game. Brian's Pick: Clemson +2.5 Jordan's Pick: SMU -2.5 DK Saturday Main Slate DFS Picks Record Year to Date: 24 Wins 28 Ties 31 Losses QuarterbackCade Klubnik, Clemson ($9,000) – Klubnik's dual-threat ability makes him a strong play against SMU's defense, which has struggled against top-tier QBs like Shough and Hoover. Rocco Becht, Iowa State ($7,600) – Becht is reliable as Iowa State continues to rely on the pass. Pair him with Jayden Higgins or Jaylin Noel for upside. Running BackBill Davis, ULL ($4,900) – The freshman has been productive, finding the end zone consistently. He's a great value against Marshall's porous run defense. Cam Skattebo, Arizona State ($10,300) – Skattebo's workload and versatility make him a must-play, especially with Tyson out. Iowa State's run defense struggles against explosive runners. Wide ReceiverGunnar Helm, Texas ($4,000) – Helm has delivered in big games, posting solid lines against top opponents. He's a steal at this price. Bryant Wesco Jr, Clemson ($3,400) – Wesco's role is growing, and he's primed for a breakout. His downfield ability and SMU's pass defense set him up for a strong outing. Subscribe to Blue White Illustrated on YouTube: https://bit.ly/3KzEcqKCheck out the site too! - https://bit.ly/3u8dilDA new episode of the Penn State wrestling show is now live! Host Thomas Frank Carr and reporter Greg Pickel cover plenty of ground on this week's show ahead of the No. 1 Nittany Lions' return to the mat on Sunday. They travel to the PPL Center in Allentown then to take on Lehigh. The dual meet starts at 2 p.m. and will be streamed by FLO.This week's show covers the Lions' second dual meet of the season. First, though, it looks at the situation at 133 pounds. Braeden Davis did not compete at the Army Black Knight Invitational for presumed injury precaution reasons after tweaking his knee in the dual opener against Drexel. He should be back this weekend, though, for a shot at No. 1 Mountain Hawk Ryan Crookham.Davis bumped up to 133 this year after competing at 125 as a freshman. Part of that was natural. But, the Lions also had a hole in that weight class after losing incumbent starter Aaron Nagao to a long-term injury earlier this year. After that conversation, Carr and Pickel dive into the latest on the starting spot battles at 157 and 197 pounds. Are they Tyler Kasak's and Joshua Barr's jobs' to lose? Pickel weighs in. The show closes with a look at the Lions' trip to Lehigh and the top matchups we expect to see. #PennState #NittanyLions JOIN Blue White Illustrated: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/join/?plan=annualSUBSCRIBE to Blue White Illustrated on YouTube and enable alerts - new highlights and videos uploaded regularly: https://www.youtube.com/c/bluewhiteillustratedvideo?sub_confirmationGet the 2024 Penn State Football Preview Magazine at https://bit.ly/PSU24PreviewBookmark our homepage: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/Subscribe to BWI Magazine and Newsletters: https://bluewhiteonline.com Download our podcasts: https://cms.megaphone.fm/channel/LRL3155877513?selected=DSVV2664982394Like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/BlueWhiteIllustrated/Follow us on Twitter https://twitter.com/PennStateOn3Sound effects obtained from https://www.zapsplat.comPenn State Wresting Show: Aaron Nagao Injury Update | Lehigh preview

This month we previewed the latest intel on Penn State's recruiting efforts heading into signing day one week from today. Penn State remains static in the CFP Penn State got more good news on Tuesday night when the College Football Playoff committee kept the team in their fourth-place spot. While some argued that Notre Dame should leapfrog the Nittany Lions after an impressive victory over Army, the committee disagreed. We'll discuss what that means for the team heading into the last week of the regular season, where there are still faint hopes for the Big Ten title game up for grabs if things play out a certain way. However, with that being an unlikely outcome, we'll discuss the current picture of where the team would land in the playoff, given the current seeding. Is this an ideal scenario for Penn State to make a deep run? Final week of football But with that news still on the horizon, the game at hand matters the most. With signing day less than two weeks away, there's plenty of news coming in the next few weeks as the team tries to secure it's recruiting class for 2025. Penn State gets the job done despite sloppy startThe Penn State team played an uncharacteristically sloppy game in the first half against Minnesota. The team had a blocked punt and extra point in the closing minutes of the first half, leading to nine points in the final two minutes. The offense struggled to run the ball, gaining just 19 positive yards in the first half on the ground. In turn, quarterback Drew Allar did most of the heavy lifting, passing for 159 yards in the first half and running it in from four yards out of a score that put Penn State within one before reserve defensive tackle Kale Artis allowed the extra point to be blocked and returned for a touchdown. The defense put together more of its third-quarter magic. After an opening drive for a field goal, the Lions forced back-to-back three-and-outs, allowing the offense the breathing room for a touchdown drive to go ahead with the lead in the fourth quarter. After a close call on the second drive of the fourth quarter, the Penn State defense held at the goal line to force a field goal that cut the lead from four to one. Penn State's offense iced the game after that with a scoring drive. More great postgame contentWant more postgame conversation from Blue White Illustrated? No. 5 Indiana Hoosiers (+12.5) at No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes, Noon ET, FOX I'm doing a 180 on Indiana. I've doubted them before, but their perfect season has me more nervous about how they'll perform as favorites rather than underdogs. Still, they have enough fight to stay within a dozen points. Pick: Indiana +12.5 No. 9 Ole Miss Rebels (-10.5) at Florida Gators, Noon ET, ABC The Gators capitalized on LSU mistakes last week, but DJ Lagway's health and decision-making remain questionable. Ole Miss, with their consistent execution, should handle Florida comfortably. Pick: Ole Miss -10.5 No. 13 SMU Mustangs (-9.5) at Virginia Cavaliers, Noon ET, ESPN2 Virginia's push for bowl eligibility adds intrigue, but SMU has consistently won by multiple scores this season. They're a playoff dark horse and should continue their dominance here. Pick: SMU -9.5 No. 4 Penn State Nittany Lions (-12.5) at Minnesota Golden Gophers, 3:30 p.m. ET, CBS Penn State is solid but not spectacular, and this matchup feels low-scoring. Minnesota's defense should help them cover this sizable spread. Pick: Minnesota +12.5 No. 14 BYU Cougars (+3.5) at No. 21 Arizona State Sun Devils, 3:30 p.m. ET, ESPN BYU's luck ran out last week, while Arizona State controls its Big 12 fate. With home-field advantage and a rising trajectory, the Sun Devils should prevail. Pick: Arizona State -3.5 No. 16 Colorado Buffaloes (-3.5) at Kansas Jayhawks, 3:30 p.m. ET, FOX Kansas delivered last week, and with a healthy Jalon Daniels, they can score with anyone. Expect another upset bid against Colorado. Pick: Kansas +3.5 No. 19 Army Black Knights (+14.5) vs. No. 6 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (Yankee Stadium), 7:00 p.m. ET, NBC Notre Dame has been dominant, but Army's top-ranked scoring defense should make this a low-scoring, closer-than-expected contest. Pick: Army +14.5 No. 12 Boise State Broncos (-23.5) at Wyoming Cowboys, 7:00 p.m. ET, CBSSN Boise State is rolling, led by Jeanty's dominance. Wyoming isn't built to keep up with a top-tier team like this. Pick: Boise State -23.5 No. 7 Alabama Crimson Tide (-14.5) at Oklahoma Sooners, 7:30 p.m. ET, ABC Oklahoma's postseason hopes depend on an upset. However, Alabama and Jalen Milroe present too much firepower for the Sooners to handle this week. Pick: Alabama -14.5 No. 15 Texas A&M Aggies (-2.5) at Auburn Tigers, 7:30 p.m. ET, ESPN This line is puzzling, but Auburn at home in a potential lookahead spot for Texas A&M makes them worth the pick. Pick: Auburn +2.5 DK Saturday Main Slate DFS Picks Record Year to Date: 19 Wins 25 Ties 21 Losses Quarterback Riley Leonard, Notre Dame ($9,500) – Leonard is a dual-threat QB with a high floor and ceiling against Virginia's porous pass defense. He's a great anchor for lineups with rushing TD upside. Cade Klubnik, Clemson ($8,600) – Klubnik has rebounded nicely, with three TDs against Virginia Tech. Facing Pitt's struggling secondary, he's a safe pick with rushing upside. Running Back Isaac Brown, Louisville ($6,700) – Brown is mispriced for his role, averaging 24+ fantasy points. He thrives in Louisville's run-heavy scheme and is a must-play against Stanford's poor run defense. Kaytron Allen, Penn State ($4,900) – If Nick Singleton sits, Allen becomes a lock for volume against Purdue. If Singleton plays, Allen still offers value but with limited exposure. Wide Receiver Will Sheppard, Colorado ($3,600) – Sheppard benefits from Colorado's pass-heavy attack and has emerged as a value option with consistent targets and scoring potential. TJ Moore, Clemson ($3,200) – Moore's consistency and low price make him an ideal salary saver. He's shown increased involvement and could be due for a breakout game. Learn more about your ad choices. Penn State dominates bottom-dweller in the Big Ten Penn State raced out to a 21-3 lead over Purdue in the first half of the game, powered by two efficient and effective drives to start the game. Penn State quarterback Drew Allar went 10-10 for 116 yards and a touchdown to start things off while the team averaged 6.4 yards per carry in the first half. However, two stalled three-and-out drives stymied the scoring fest heading into halftime. But unlike last week against Washington, Penn State's offense didn't blink after halftime. The offense scored three times in the third quarter including two explosive runs from Tyler Warren and Beau Pribula and a 46-yard touchdown pass from Allar to Trey Wallace to end the day for the starting offense. Warren was once again the star of the game for the Nittany Lions. The Penn State tight end caught all eight of his targets for 127 yards and a touchdown. He also added in 63 yards and a score on the ground, bringing his game total to 190 yards and two touchdowns. Abdul Carter does it againIt wasn't a perfect night from the Penn State defense, but it was close. The backup linebackers and secondary entered the game with a 21-3 lead but gave up a field goal scoring drive in the second quarter. Beyond that, it was a long day, once again, for this 1-9 Purdue team. Abdul Carter was once again the star on defense, racking up five tackles, two tackles for loss, and multiple quick pressures that ended plays for Purdue.
