In Hour 1… [04:35] – Contract discussions looking positive for Dak Prescott With Dak Prescott expressing optimism about his contract situation, saying, "A lot of good things are going on," there's a sense that if the Cowboys manage to extend him and CeeDee Lamb before the season, it could ease some concerns about the team's stability. However, Senior has consistently voiced doubts about the team's ceiling, even if these deals get done. The reality is, despite the potential of these signings to boost team morale, the Cowboys haven't made significant improvements elsewhere. [21:33] – Depleted Chiefs Weapons Patrick Mahomes' comments on missing Marquise "Hollywood" Brown highlight the Kansas City Chiefs' concerns with their receiving corps. Brown's shoulder injury means the Chiefs will be without their most experienced wide receiver for a crucial part of the season. While Mahomes remains hopeful about the young receivers stepping up, the depth chart suggests that the Chiefs' offense could struggle early on, especially without Brown's veteran presence. [34:36] – NBA Schedule Release The NBA's 2024-25 schedule is out, and there are plenty of matchups to look forward to. The Christmas Day lineup is packed with exciting games, including the Lakers vs. Warriors and the Nuggets vs. Suns. Notably, the Knicks and Sixers have higher title odds than the Nuggets and Timberwolves, which might surprise some fans. [41:53] – MLB Considering Six-Inning Minimum for Starting Pitchers MLB's proposed rule to require starting pitchers to go a minimum of six innings could bring significant changes to the game. The league aims to increase action, restore the prominence of starting pitchers, and reduce injuries. Exceptions would include pitch count limits, runs allowed, or injury, with a potential consequence for teams pulling pitchers early being the loss of the designated hitter (DH). This rule would force teams to rethink their pitching strategies, potentially incentivizing them to develop starters who can go deeper into games. -------------------------------------- Click here to subscribe, rate, and review the newest episodes of GoJo and Golic!
