HISTORY MADE. Elon Musk is the world's first trillionaire and the usual suspects have come out to demonize. According to Forbes, Musk's total net worth surged to roughly $1.1 to $1.26 trillion on paper after SpaceX went public, completing the largest initial public offering (IPO) in stock market history. Is he evil for it? Elizabeth Warren thinks so. Also on the show: we brainstorm better Minor League nicknames instead of the Redbirds, Jake and Josh come up with a trillion-dollar bet for Game 5 of the NBA Finals, WVNN host Dale Jackson joins to talk about minor league baseball in Memphis, and Ron Hart joins to talk Elon's trillions. Giants QB Jaxson Dart introduced President Trump at a rally, and now he is getting blasted for his outward support of 45. Also on the show: Jake plays Stone Temple Pilots on the drums, Brett Michaels drops off the America 250 musical lineup, we reveal the Scripps National Spelling Bee champion, and we talk to WVNN host Dale Jackson about the latest political/pop culture headlines. School's out for the Summer! As kids finish classes today, it's kind of the unofficial first day of Summer break, right? WVNN's Dale Jackson joins the program to talk about the UFO files and if it's been worth all the hype. Speaking of UFO, the first Star Wars movie in 7 years hasn't been getting raving reviews. One of the (many) things Hunter Biden inherited from his father Joe was his willingness to go behind the woodshed and throw hands. In a bizarre clip, Hunter challenges both Don Jr. AND Eric Trump to a cage match. Question is: will it be a 1 v 2? Or is Hunter in the hunt for a tag-team partner? Also on the show: WVNN's Dale Jackson joins the show to talk about the latest political headlines, Artemis 2 re-enters the Earth, former fatties that should have stayed fat, Kamala Harris teases a legit POTUS run in 2028, and we break down an ape war in Africa for Apes In April. Defending Memphis after LeBron's comments about the Bluff City is understandable. However, there's a new argument about why Memphis should not move to Nashville that should stop. The Grizzlies aren't a charity; Memphis was completely stable without an NBA team, and we shouldn't be using the sympathy card to defend it. Also on the show: Jake goes through each National League city and rates it from 1-10, it's April which means our very first "Apes In Ape-ril" of 2026, WVNN's Dale Jackson joined the show to talk about the latest political headlines, and today's Maxterpiece Theater!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
In an effort to reopen DHS, House Republicans rejected a funding bill passed by the Senate, prolonging a six-week shutdown. FAFO hits hard, especially when you are asking for it. Also on the show: Bruce Springsteen released a super cringey song about the Minnesota protests, two members of the Memphis City Council believe the Mid-South snowstorm was fake, and WVNN host Dale Jackson joins the show to talk the latest headlines. A monumental day in Memphis politics! That's according to Rep. Justin J. It used to be Man Of The Year, then TIME changed it to Person. In 2025, it's not even that as the "Person Of The Year" is AI Architects. We think it's a cop out because it probably belonged to Donald Trump again, if we're being honest. Today's QOTW: Who should have won it, NOT NAMED Trump? Also on the show: ATL Falcons running back Bijan Robinson issued an apology for referencing a game we all grew up playing in the backyard, WVNN's Dale Jackson joins the show to talk about electric vehicles, and syndicated columnist Ron Hart also weighed in on the TIME "Person Of the Year". Witch hunt after witch hunt, it was always ridiculous how many reasons Democrats would conjure to impeach President Trump. While being awarded the first ever FIFA Peace Prize (yes, it's a real thing), Trump made a comment that even Republicans can't defend. We break down what he said, and if it's the beginning of his end. Also on the show: WVNN host Dale Jackson joins the show to discuss the January 6 pipe bomber's political affiliations, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey panders to the point where he pretends to enjoy Somali food, and Netflix wins the bid to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery properties. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Trump's worst nightmare, NYC mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, took a trip to the Oval Office to meet with the President for the first time since winning. We give you the latest Memphis Safe Task Force updates and we do a little week review with WVNN host Dale Jackson! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
It's not which team to root FOR, but which team to root AGAINST. The World Series begins tonight and it's not the Mariners/Brewers matchup we hoped for. Also on the show: WVNN radio host Dale Jackson joins the show to talk about the White House demolition/construction, Kash Patel fires back at Stephen A. The "No Kings" protestor's double standards are showing. They are rallying again all over the country in an effort to combat King Trump. When it was Joe Biden in office, they wanted nothing more than major government interference in everyday life... kinda like an authoritarian dictatorship! Also on the show: A LAWSUIT! Gov. Bill Lee is facing a lawsuit by local lawmakers for the National Guard's deployment in Memphis. We also listen to some hilarious highlights from the NYC mayor debates, and we talk to WVNN radio host Dale Jackson about the latest political headlines. Apologies aren't genuine if it's blamed on other unrelated entities. Unsurprisingly, Tami Sawyer's viral meltdown, caught on an officer's bodycam, has now given us one of the worst public apologies. Why did she call a police officer a white supremacist and a racist SOB? She's stressed because of the National Guard's invasion! Also on the show: National Guard troops have been spotted in Downtown Memphis by the Pyramid, and other notable spots, Jimmy Kimmel calls Antifa an imaginary organization like the Decepticons from Transformers, and we talk to WVNN radio host Dale Jackson on why Trump was snubbed of a Nobel Peace Prize. National Guard troops are expected to be in Memphis by next Monday, according to Governor Bill Lee who held a press conference this morning. President Trump CONFIRMED that the National Guard is going to Memphis first, bypassing other cities like Chicago. Mayor Paul Young, DA Steve Mulroy, and County Mayor Lee Harris were vocal about their disapproval right after the announcement but on the show, many callers are welcoming federal assistance. Also on the show, the manhunt has ended. Charlie Kirk's assassin is in custody and it's a younger white male that was brainwashed, likely while in college. We break down the news with radio host Dale Jackson from WVNN in Chattanooga, TN.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Gun safety curriculum needs a total revamp, because a silly video with an animated eagle telling kids to just "tell a grown up" is not effective for kids. We break down what an effective gun safety curriculum would look like, why an in-person expert could go a long way, and our listener's suggestions. Also on the show, RFK is getting ready to drop a bombshell report on how Tylenol is the cause of autism for children, Jake has a conversation with WVNN host Dale Jackson, one caller rages at Jake for his take on how to ask for a raise, and Max the Producer gives us today's Maxterpiece Theater. The voter turnout in Shelby County was rough to say the least. 13% voter turnout in a county population of 916,000 is not doing Memphis any favors. Jake breaks down all the results from Election Day across the board. Also on the show, we talk to the host of The Dale Jackson Show on WVNN in Alabama, Dale Jackson. We also take a listen to this week's Maxterpiece Theater and we assign Producer Rivera a Gen X movie for the weekend. Movie theme: Back to school. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

We are excited to share with our supporters that we have returned to terrestrial radio – bigger and better than ever. For November, we have this soft relaunch on WZZA – a black owned news and soul station in Muscle Shoals, the area of Alabama with the highest union density in the country. We returned to the airways on Tuesday, November 9 at 4pm. This is that broadcast. Then, in December, we'll be on four more commercial radio stations in the following cities: Huntsville (our old home station WVNN), Birmingham, Montgomery, and Mobile. Because we were not on the air in October (which was very disappointing not be on the radio during STRIKETOBER) , payments have been paused on Patreon – billing will resume in November (accounts will be charged on December 1). If you are part of an organization that would be interested in advertising – please do reach out! Being on so many more stations will greatly increase our operating costs. We are very excited to get back on the radio – we hope y'all are too. Solidarity forever. ★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★
