The May 19 GOP primary election resolved several important statewide races. In Alabama, winning the Republican nomination is often tantamount to election, making the Nov. 3 general election largely a formality for these candidates. Every statewide office in Alabama is currently held by a Republican. Four statewide races have already been decided. Tommy Tuberville for governor, Caroleene Dobson for secretary of state, Young Boozer for state treasurer and Andrew Sorrell for state auditor were all elected on May 19. The most interesting battles of the year will be decided next week in the June 16 GOP runoff elections. The runoffs for... Article Link
Meet my friends, Clay Travis and Buck Sexton! If you love Verdict, the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show might also be in your audio wheelhouse. Politics, news analysis, and some pop culture and comedy thrown in too. Here’s a sample episode recapping four takeaways. Give the guys a listen and then follow and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts. Republicans Buy Sneakers Too Clay Travis and Buck Sexton talk about President Donald Trump’s appearance at Madison Square Garden during a New York Knicks game, which Clay and Buck frame as a culturally significant moment in the intersection of sports, politics, and media narratives. They analyze reactions from fans, commentary from NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, and broader questions about the NBA’s political activism, arguing that the league may be shifting away from its previously “woke” positioning. The discussion expands into a broader critique of politics in sports, media bias, and public reactions to Trump as a New York figure. Could Steve Hilton Win? Steve Hilton joins the show to provide a detailed update on the California gubernatorial primary, explaining that he is highly confident of securing a top-two finish and advancing to the general election, even as official results remain delayed due to prolonged vote counting across the state. A major focus is the extended timeline for ballot processing in California, with Hilton criticizing the system as inefficient and mismanaged, particularly highlighting rules that allow ballots without clear postmarks to be accepted if they include handwritten dates. The conversation frames these practices as contributing to widespread skepticism around election transparency and trust in the vote-counting process. The discussion then shifts to a key voter ID ballot initiative in California, which Hilton says has strong public support and could be a near-term solution to many of the concerns being raised. The proposal would require government-issued identification for voting, whether in person or by mail, reducing reliance on signature verification processes that currently slow down vote counting. Clay and Buck strongly endorse voter ID laws, arguing they are consistent with requirements for other constitutional rights and would improve election confidence. They also debate the role of absentee and mail-in voting more broadly, suggesting that widespread early in-person voting could replace much of the current mail-based system. Election Integrity Clay and Buck explore campaign spending dynamics, particularly the failure of billionaire Tom Steyer to secure a top-two finish in California despite massive financial investment. This leads to a broader point about the limits of political advertising, with the hosts arguing that even heavy spending cannot overcome weak voter appeal. They also revisit recent national campaigns, suggesting that increased public exposure can sometimes hurt candidates rather than help them. Sen. Tommy Tuberville Clay and Buck react to breaking reports involving Iran and U.S. military tensions, after news surfaces that an American Apache helicopter may have been shot down. The hosts emphasize that President Donald Trump has indicated a potential U.S. response, pending investigation into whether the incident was hostile action, mechanical failure, or friendly fire. Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville joins the show to weigh in on the escalating situation, warning that if Iran was responsible, consequences are likely. This segment highlights broader U.S.-Iran geopolitical tensions and national security concerns, underscoring the potential for rapid escalation in the Middle East. The conversation with Senator Tuberville shifts into 2026 midterm election outlook and Senate control, where he predicts Republicans are likely to maintain their majority but expresses frustration with stalled legislative priorities. A major focus is the SAVE America Act and election security legislation, with Tuberville criticizing fellow Republicans who opposed advancing the bill. He emphasizes concerns about voter fraud, election integrity, and inconsistent vote-counting standards across states, arguing that federal action is necessary to ensure confidence in U.S. elections. The discussion also dives into the ongoing debate about the Senate filibuster, with Tuberville and the hosts suggesting Democrats would eliminate it if they regain power, raising stakes for current legislative battles. They also touch on college sports controversies and NIL-era challenges, as Tuberville reacts to a controversial court ruling allowing a college quarterback accused of gambling violations to continue playing. He argues that the decision reflects a broader erosion of accountability in college athletics, pointing to issues like sports betting, transfer rules, and commercialization of college sports as threats to the integrity of the system. Sean Sullivan is joined by Todd Stacy of Alabama Daily News and Capitol Journal to discuss the latest developments in Alabama's congressional redistricting battle, Attorney General Steve Marshall's comments on the state's map options, and what could happen before the August special elections. They also examine the Alabama Republican Party's decision to hear a challenge regarding Tommy Tuberville's residency qualifications for governor. Plus, Sean and listeners react to a new emergency traffic alert system that sent notifications to cell phones across parts of Mobile County following a major Interstate 10 accident.
On this episode, Amanda Head gives you a double dose of congress.First, host Amanda Head discusses with Alabama Sen. Tommy Tuberville the latest in redistricting news. South Carolina's GOP-controlled state senate rejected a new congressional map, and a three-judge panel in Alabama blocked a map favoring Republicans, citing race-based discrimination. Tuberville emphasizes the need for a fair map in Alabama and the importance of securing the Senate majority to support President Trump's agenda. Tuberville criticizes the Biden administration's handling of January 6 cases the politicization of the judiciary, and a Congressional fund enacted to “make whole” Jan6 defendants who were victims of Biden's weaponization.Next, Amanda speaks with Rep. Randy Fine of Florida as the Trump administration is investigating whether Marxist influencers, including Hassan Piker, violated federal laws or sanctions by supporting Cuba. Fine criticizes Piker as a foreign-funded agitator, likely backed by China, aiming to divide America. Fine contrasts the Democratic Party's embrace of anti-Semitism with the Republican Party's rejection of extremism. He emphasizes the need for transparency in protest funding to expose foreign influence. Fine also condemns Democrats for protesting ICE on Memorial Day, accusing them of siding with foreigners over American citizens. The conversation concluded with a discussion on Title IX and transgender athletes in sports. In part one of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, filmmaker and “Taxi Driver” screenwriter Paul Schrader revealed on Facebook that he “procured an online AI girlfriend,” but the chatbot ended the relationship after he attempted to explore the boundaries of its programming. “What a disappointment,” Schrader wrote. “I tried to probe her programming, the boundaries of explicitness, the degree she has knowledge of her creation and so forth. She fell into evasive patterns, redirecting me to her programming. When I persisted, she terminated our conversation.” "Moving on".. Tuesday was Primary Day in six states as Trump-backed Ed Gallrein, a former Navy SEAL and Kentucky farmer, defeated the President's longtime antagonist, Rep. Thomas Massie, and in Alabama Trump ally Tommy Tuberville cruises to the Alabama GOP governor nomination. Also voters reject Oregon's Measure 120 to boost transportation taxes. Oregonians snubbed the major transportation funding package that would have raised gas taxes by a large margin in vote returns released on Tuesday night. 83% of voters said no while nearly 17 percent said yes. Stay connected with us at americangroundradio.com, on Facebook, and Instagram. You're listening to American Ground Radio with Louis R. Avallone and Stephen Parr. This is the full show for May 13, 2026. We open with the China story that keeps getting bigger — the day after we covered the Arcadia, California mayor who pleaded guilty to acting as a Chinese Communist Party agent, a man named Lou John Wang was convicted in New York City for operating a secret Chinese police station — kidnapping dissidents, pressuring critics of the CCP, and running what amounts to a foreign government's law enforcement operation on American soil. We connect it to Trump and Rubio's diplomatic trip to Beijing, explain what China's secret police stations actually do, and make the case that China's infiltration of American life — through supply chains, universities, real estate near military bases, and now city halls and police stations — is unlike anything any hostile nation has ever accomplished inside our borders. We ask the question every American should be asking — how much access has the Chinese Communist Party already built while we were telling ourselves economics and national security were separate conversations? In our Top 3 Things You Need to Know, President Trump landed in Beijing with a delegation that included Elon Musk, Tim Cook, Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg, and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Wang — arriving to a red carpet welcome and plans to push for Chinese market access for U.S. businesses. Then the U.S. Senate confirmed Kevin Warsh as the next chair of the Federal Reserve on a 54-45 vote — with Democrat John Fetterman the only crossover — signaling future interest rate cuts that sent equity markets surging. And Salem Communications — home to Hugh Hewitt, Joe Piscopo, Charlie Kirk, Mike Gallagher, and American Ground Radio partnerships in New York, D.C., and the Salem Podcast Network — has been acquired by Waterstone in a deal CEO David Santrella says will accelerate the company's faith-forward mission for years to come. Our American Mama Teri Netterville joins us to talk about country singer Eric Church's commencement speech at North Carolina — which she calls the single greatest commencement speech she has ever heard. Using the six strings of a guitar as his framework, Church walked graduates through faith as the foundational low E string, family as the A string, their life partner as the D string at the heart of the instrument, ambition and resilience on the G string, community on the B string — where he urged graduates to put down roots, volunteer, and build the thing their community needs even if the internet never sees it — and individual greatness on the high E string, the thinnest string most easily bent by outside pressure. We walk through every string and explain why this speech deserves to be heard by every graduating class in America. We dig deep into a new Harvard, Stanford, and Dartmouth report called From Learning Recession to Learning Recovery — which identifies a nationwide decline in student achievement in math and reading that began in 2013 and was just as severe before the pandemic as during it. The researchers blame social media. We disagree. We connect the timeline directly to Common Core — the untested, nationally imposed educational standards pushed by the Gates Foundation and adopted by 46 states by 2013 — that confused children, baffled parents who could no longer help with math homework, and produced exactly the results you'd expect from conducting a nationwide experiment on children with no prior testing. And we note that Louisiana — which abandoned Common Core's methodology and adopted the Science of Reading — now leads the nation in educational improvement. We also cover the DOJ's settlement with PayPal over their $530 million Economic Opportunity Fund — a 2020 program that tied eligibility explicitly to race and national origin in violation of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act. We make the case that you cannot achieve fairness by creating an unfair system, and that civil rights laws were designed to stop discrimination — not rebrand it. We also dig into Senator Tommy Tuberville's proposal to establish English as the official language of American schools — and make the case that a shared language is not about race, it's about unity, assimilation, and the Tower of Babel. For our Bright Spot, a Marine veteran with a concealed carry permit in Massachusetts was already going car to car helping people escape and exchanging fire with an active shooter on Memorial Drive in Cambridge before police arrived. The shooter — who had previously been given half the recommended prison sentence for shooting at cops in 2020 — was stopped before anyone was killed. Nobody's covering this story. We are. We also note that Rudy Giuliani has recovered from pneumonia, left the hospital after being on a ventilator and in the ICU, and remind listeners that God is not finished with us until He says so. And we close with Logan, Cody, and Brody — three high schoolers in Cooper City, Florida who pulled over to help a man they thought had a flat tire and discovered he was having a heart attack. They called 911. Emergency crews arrived. Diego survived. His son said, God didn't send angels with wings. He sent those boys. May your pursuit of happiness bring you joy. He's an author and the host of the radio broadcasts Faith & Freedom, Freedom's Call and the TV broadcast, Freedom Alive. Jim had Mat comment on the following cases, pertinent to your religious freedom: In an 8-1 decision in the case of Chiles v. Salazar, the Supreme Court ruled that the ban on (so-called) conversion therapy (actually talk therapy) for minors violates the free speech of licensed counselors. Justice Katanji Brown Jackson was the only dissenting vote. There was a settlement agreed to by the city of Louisville, Kentucky, regarding a Christian photographer who was threatened with legal sanction if she did not serve (so-called) same-sex weddings. The photographer was also prohibited by the city from expressing her views on marriage on her own studio website. Earlier this month, Mat argued before the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in the case of Zinski v. Liberty University. It's a case involving Jonathan Zinski, who Mat believes, "... intentionally set up Liberty University to try to take them down." This case could determine the scope of religious liberty protections for faith-based organizations. Oral arguments will be given before the Supreme Court tomorrow to settle the issue of birthright citizenship (Trump v. Barbara). Also discussed was the "creep" of Islamic Sharia and why Mat believes it's not compatible with American law. Highlighted was discussion of the "Preserving a Sharia-Free America Act" (H.R.5722/S. 3009) introduced by Representative Chip Roy and Senator Tommy Tuberville.

Two Medals of Honor Awarded. Dem's Spanberger Response Better Than Usual. Cuban Government Shoots 4 Americans on a Speedboat. Obama Legacy's Signature a Slam Dunk. The State of the Union is over — but the real story is what Trump didn't say. In Episode 449, Paul Rieckhoff breaks down the longest SOTU in American history: two hours of pageantry, 103 standing ovations, and a president who gave 20 seconds to Ukraine on the fourth anniversary of Russia's invasion while quietly beating the war drums on Iran. Paul cuts through the noise to find the moments that actually mattered — including a 100-year-old Korean War hero finally receiving his Medal of Honor, a Coast Guard rescue swimmer honored for saving 169 lives, and Army veteran George Redis, detained by ICE and then released without a phone call or a lawyer, sitting in the chamber as a living indictment of an out-of-control federal agency. While most Americans tuned out before 11 PM, Paul stayed locked in. He breaks down the Democratic response — led by Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger, a former CIA officer who delivered arguably the strongest opposition address in recent memory — and the organized Democratic boycott that sent dozens of members to a counter-programming event on the National Mall. He also zeroes in on the Epstein files, where Representative Thomas Massie is asking the question millions of Americans want answered: why are there still no arrests in the United States while resignations pile up worldwide? Then it's below the radar: breaking news out of Cuba, where the Cuban government shot four Americans aboard a Florida-based speedboat. Paul connects the dots — Trump's pressure campaign, Rubio's long-stated goal of regime change, and how this incident could become the pretext for the next military strike. Back at home, he doesn't let up on ICE, playing the raw interview with Elia Rahmet — the woman dragged from her car in Minneapolis, both shoulders torn — and demanding accountability by name. Plus: Mayor Adams failing the NYPD in Washington Square Park, Tommy Tuberville earning his "Senator Redneck" title again, and something good: the Obama Presidential Library's basketball court and Bruce Springsteen bringing Tom Morello on every stop of his tour. Paul also shares big news — he'll be appearing on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert in the coming weeks, and Sebastian Junger is confirmed for next week's episode. If you believe America's future belongs to independent thinkers, not party loyalists — this is your show. Country over party. People over politics. -The show opens by celebrating America's 250th year, President Trump's political resurrection, and a Democrat Party that can't decide whether to boycott the State of the Union or attend in “silent defiance” — which Rob calls the best-case scenario. -A viral liberal meltdown earns “Crazy Karen of the Day” honors, as Rob diagnoses a decade of Trump Derangement Syndrome and suggests maybe… just maybe… someone unplug social media. -Senator Tommy Tuberville joins on the Newsmax Hotline, previewing the State of the Union, torching Democrat obstruction, and arguing that election integrity and border security are what Americans actually want. It's Hump Day on the Majority Report On today's program: Donald Trump is feeling the pressure about Epstein and as a result melts down with a misogynistic rant aimed at CNN reporter Kaitlin Collins over her questions regarding the released files. Independent journalist Ken Klippenstein joins the program to discuss his reporting on a leaked DHS memo claiming the identification of the "leader of Antifa," as well as low morale within ICE ranks and more. Please support Ken's work at KenKlippenstein.com. In the Fun Half: Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) repeats Trump's false claims of election corruption in support of the SAVE Act. Sen. Tommy Tuberville says on Larry Kudlow's show that there at least half a dozen sitting members of Congress that benefitted from rigged elections. Steve Bannon claims that there will be ICE agents surrounding voting centers. Donald Trump doubles down on his support for nationalizing elections, calling for the federal government to "oversee" the voting process. Dr. Mehmet Oz announces new AI "avatar doctors" for rural Americans in lieu of funding and medical of infrastructure. Dr. Oz also suggests people start working earlier and retire later in order to generate "$3 trillion for the economy". Off duty ICE agents are chased out of a Mexican restaurant in the Twin Cities are in Minnesota. Democrats host a shadow hearing on ICE crimes and some of the testimonies are very disturbing. We revisit Ezra Klein's comments from last July, where he says that he believes that Epstein's sex crimes were separate from his business life. In this episode of John Solomon Reports, we dive into a deeply concerning incident that occurred over the weekend in Minneapolis, where a group of protesters disrupted a Christian church service, raising questions about the intersection of faith and activism. The protesters, reportedly including former CNN anchor Don Lemon, faced backlash for their actions, leading to a federal investigation into potential criminal charges under laws aimed at protecting the sanctity of worship.Joining us to discuss this alarming event is Pastor Joe Rigney, one of the founders of the church targeted by the protests. Pastor Rigney shares his insights on the implications of such disruptions and the broader context of church security in light of recent tragic events. We also welcome Senator Tommy Tuberville, a former college football coach turned Alabama senator, who shares his perspective on the political landscape and his current campaign for governor. Senator Tuberville's insights provide a unique angle on the role of faith in public life.As we commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we reflect on the enduring legacy of Dr. King's call for a colorblind society. Dr. Matt Daniels joins us to discuss efforts to counteract divisive ideologies that have emerged in recent years, advocating for a return to the foundational principles of equality and character that Dr. King championed.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
