We thought it would be a great time to review some listener emails to our lottery episode! Listener Chris: Greetings all y'all from the Secret City, If I somehow managed to win a $10 Million lottery my three gun choices would be: 1) The Mars Automatic Pistol in .45 Mars Long Case. 2) Suomi KP/-31 (Or a PPSh-41, I'm not picky) 3) and finally so I could commute to my own personal range and land of general tomfoolery I would have a Vespa 150 TAP. I may not be fast but the road ahead will always be clear. Thank you all for the years of entertainment and laughter. Keep your sticks on the ice. —————— Listener Chuck: "If I won the lottery, there would be signs..." Assume I'm some place where all this cool stuff is legal. Or, I'm rich, I can buy a measure of privacy. 1) The Anderson Wheeler modern clone of the break top Webley, 7 shot .357. I have no idea if any of those were ever actually made. (That's actually about it. Not thinking of anything else exotic right now.) —————————————— Listener Phil: Hello, My Neuvo-Riche Millionaire List Smith & Wesson .357 Registered Magnum, 3 ½” or 4”, like-new condition. Hamilton Bowen M1917 Redhawk in .50AE. Essentially a Redhawk done up in a manner reminiscent of the Smith 1917. Lugerman P-2020 Luger in .45 ACP. Cheat Pick- Colt Bulldog, model 1877 Gatling gun, all brass, 45-70. With all the furniture, boxes and doo-dads and what not. I would call it Rooster. And if I were to win in real life, I dream about a bank of CNC machines as seen in the TFB video of the Manhurin factory and a group of talented individuals who then go down my list of small- batch runs of Mauser C96, Terriers, Merwin & Hulbert, HK M13, P08, 1917's, Smythons, Trejos. Meanwhile I'll be scouring the country for plans to that Detonics Top-Break! Ah, dreams ——————————— Listener Rob: Here are my selections , Sticking to handguns unlike some folks, but may have lost count a little Purchase the custom s&w revolver Jerry Miculek used to set record of 6 plates in 1.88 seconds. Would likely take big sum of money to the family, would own for one year, train and take classes extensively to see how close I can get to the record. (Likely not close at all, but the chase would be fun) Then, put for auction and market the hell Out of it with all proceeds to promote youth shooting sports along with anything the JM family wants to support, in equal parts.
Welcome to this episode of 20/20 Money! My guest on today's show is Kayla Ashlee. Kayla joins me on the show to discuss how the communication cues (or miscues) that unknowingly are happening in your office can be both positively or negatively impacting your patient experience and thus influencing the buying decisions of your patients. She shared examples of good and not-so-good cues that can be happening across the patient journey—from the moment the patient comes into your office all the way through their optical buying experience. This was a very enjoyable and timely conversation given the relative proximity to the Frankenstein episode I did a couple of weeks ago, because as I said in that episode, one of the investments I would make in both myself and my team as early as possible is good sales and communication training...and this confirmation was an example of why it's so important. As a reminder, you can get all the information discussed in today's conversation by visiting our website at integratedpwm.com and clicking on the Learning Center. While there, be sure to subscribe to our monthly “planning life on purpose” newsletter that's filled with tips and ideas to help you plan your best life, on purpose. You can also set up a Triage conversation to learn a little bit more about how we serve in the capacity of a personal and professional CFO: helping OD practice owners around the country reduce their tax bill, proactively manage cash flow, and make prudent investment decisions both in and out of their practice to ultimately help them live their best life on purpose. If you're interested in learning more about the 20/20 Money Financial Success Masterclass, a course & platform that we created to help ODs become “brilliant at the financial basics,” or are interested in learning more about how OD Masterminds creates space for real conversations, real accountability, and real growth, please check out the link in the show notes of this episode to learn more. And with that introduction, I hope you enjoy my conversation with Kayla Ashlee. As a sample of this technology, she has a 3D printed model of her own brain to use in demonstrations. In cooperation with Mayo, this and a variety of chemistry, biology, and engineering programs provide innovations in surgical processes and medical therapies. Carleigh is an example of the student, program, and institutional intersections between UNF and the local (and global!) community.

UNF senior Smilla Kolbe shares her experiences as a student athlete, and is the first Osprey to qualify for and compete in the 2025 NCAA Track and Field Championships, against the best runners in the country. Allison Galloway-Gonzalez, Curator of the Frisch Family Holocaust Memorial Gallery, joins JMN to discuss the "Histories in Hand" exhibit at LJD Jewish Family and Community Services. The exhibit detailis Holocaust survivors, highlighting their personal objects and family heirlooms - illustrating how everyday items can hold extraordinary significance as symbols of endurance and hope. Visit JFCSJAX.ORG or JACKSONVILLEHOLOCAUSTMEMORIAL.COM for more information.
Helen Meatte, a contributor to the "Histories in Hand" exhibit, details the back story on a locket she shares in the exhibit. The locket was an heirloom passed down from her mother, and it contains pictures of Helen's gradparents. The object legacy dates back to the Nazi occupation of Poland, and her grandmother's escape. See this and other exhbits in the "Histories In Hand" exhibit.
Louis Post, a contributor to the current exhibit "Histories in Hand," details the significance of some family artifacts - candlesticks, a wine cup, and a spice box - that belonged to his father's parents. At the time of the Nazi occupation in Krakow, his father buried these items, and later recovered them after being liberated from a labor camp. The items represent a continuity from Louis's family past, through his father, to his future, through his sons, and they represent symbolic traditional use in prayers, holiday sacrements, and traditional sabbath practices. The use of these objects to tell family histories, and recount the tragedies of the Holocaust, have an emotional cost, as they represent not just his family's story, but MANY family stories, particularly families that are no longer present - and how people can be dehumanized. These objects remind us of their personhood, that they were here and they were significant.
Melissa Williams, Holocaust Educator for The LJD Jewish Family & Community Services, joins JMN to disucss the "Histories in Hand" exhibit, and other events and services available through the JFCS. As Holocaust survivors pass into history, it is often now their descendents and the artifacts of their lives that sustain their stories. It falls to educators like Melissa and exhibits like "Histories in Hand" to keep the memories and experiences of those survivors fresh, relatable, and influential for future generations, so such atrocities do not happen again. Visit JFCSJAX.ORG or JACKSONVILLEHOLOCAUSTMEMORIAL.COM or RESISTHATEJAX.ORG to organize an exhibition for a school or business group, or to get more information about this exhibit.
