Hegseth's War – The Catastrophic Consequences of Maximum LethalityIn this week's solo episode, I examine a ProPublica investigation into Pete Hegseth's tenure as US Defence Secretary – and the catastrophic consequences of his "maximum lethality" doctrine. Here, I want to expand on some of the key themes we discussed. The Civilian Protection ProgrammeThe story begins with a programme called Civilian Harm Mitigation and Response (CHMR). It was a relatively new initiative, adopted after years of heavy civilian tolls in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere. Its mission was to station personnel within major regional commands to develop a picture of life on the ground in combat zones, aiding decision-making on military strikes and helping to avoid or minimise civilian harm.Shortly after taking office, Hegseth polled the nation's top commanders about cutting the programme. He expected them to endorse his view that civilian security was "woke" and out of step with "maximum lethality." Instead, every commander rebuffed him. Nine chose to preserve the programme; two asked to expand it.Hegseth ignored them. He gutted the programme, cutting staff from nearly 200 to around two dozen, and reducing Central Command's team from 16 to one.The ConsequencesThe results were predictable. In Yemen, an air campaign killed 153 civilians and wounded 243 others. In Iran, a US strike on a school killed more than 100 children.Democratic senators and humanitarian groups questioned whether the cuts had contributed to the school tragedy. In a letter to Hegseth, 11 senators said the strike reflected the administration's "broader disregard for the strategic, legal and moral imperatives to minimise civilian harm."But this is not a regime that cares about international law. As I argue in the episode, the extreme right believes that international law has held the US back for years – that it has been fighting with one hand behind its back. The breaking of international law is not a regrettable byproduct of their policies; it is the mission. The "War Department"In a speech last year, Hegseth announced that the "Department of Defense is over" and that the "Department of War" had been restored. He spoke of "peace through strength" and "the warrior ethos." He told his enemies they would be "crushed by violence, precision and the ferocity of the war department." In other words: FAFO.But the reality is very different. The US military is under-resourced and overstretched in the Persian Gulf. It has lost its supply bases. It is facing critical shortages of everything from ammunition to toothpaste. The "maximum lethality" doctrine has produced exactly the opposite of what it promised.Hegseth's PsychologyAs I discussed in my earlier conversation with Jasper Craven, Hegseth is a deeply damaged individual – a product of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and of the far-right culture war that has consumed the Republican Party. He is living out a violent adolescent fantasy, speaking in the language of Christian fascism and the annihilation of the enemy. But he is also a symptom of a larger problem. Trump surrounds himself with incompetent ideologues because he does not want specialists and experts. He wants people who will tell him what he wants to hear, who will create chaos and distraction while he carries on looting the state. Hegseth is the perfect product of that system. If you'd like to support this work, please consider joining us on Substack. Dark Horse Comics' newly formed union is already butting heads with owner Embracer Group. Yes, THAT Embracer Group. The megacorp that's bleeding out money and cutting costs. The company that shut down all of Dark Horse's physical comic shops. The company that FIRED the founder of Dark Horse Comics, Mike Richardson. This will NOT end well for them IMHO. **Mississippi Appoints First Muslim Woman as Municipal Judge | Assma Ali Sworn In – Benoit, Not Ridgeland** Breaking news: Mississippi has appointed its first Muslim female municipal judge (and possibly its first Muslim judge period). Assma Ali, a Ridgeland-based immigration attorney, was sworn in as municipal court judge for the tiny Delta town of Benoit on August 5, 2026. The story exploded over the weekend with viral claims she had been named judge in Ridgeland. That turned out to be false. Ridgeland's official page quickly denied any appointment. Ali's own vague Facebook posts fueled the confusion before she deleted them and later posted the actual oath of office and town agenda confirming Benoit. In this video I walk through: - Exactly how the rumor started and spread - The screenshots, posts, and documents - Where I was half-wrong in my earlier reporting and how I corrected it - Why an immigration attorney + Muslim judge in Mississippi has people raising red flags - The bigger questions about Sharia, culture, and “just getting a foot in the door” This is the full breakdown with receipts. **Episode 1270 – FAFO Friday with Creston Berch** It's FAFO Friday and Clay is wearing pink on purpose. Clay and Creston open with the long-running fight against the “Trans Kids Belong” messaging, revisiting the billboard Clay replaced years ago near Bass Pro in Pearl and reacting to Stephen A. Smith finally breaking ranks on a WNBA coach who wore the same slogan during a game against the Indiana Fever. They make clear where they stand: adults can live however they want, but kids are off-limits and biological reality is not optional. The conversation shifts to the Madison Brooks case. The 19-year-old LSU student was gang-raped, dumped on the interstate, and killed by a vehicle. Her family and supporters asked to wear pink in court; the defense tried to ban it. The judge allowed plain pink clothing. Clay explains why he's wearing a pink FAFO shirt today and questions the judge's history involving her own son. They dig into the newly public records on Christine Wansley (Nolan Wells' mother). Documents show she lost custody of her three older children to their father, James Briscoe, in 2007–2008, was ordered to pay child support, and later saw temporary custody efforts fail before the case ended in shared custody. Clay walks through the timeline, the difference between legal custody and where the kids actually lived, and the selective outrage that elevates some grieving parents into civil-rights figures while others get ignored. That leads to the death of 29-year-old Tasia (Tayshia) Fortune, found hanging from a tree behind a vacant house in Jackson. Councilman Kenneth Stokes is already calling for federal involvement. Clay asks the obvious questions: has a crime even been established yet? Why the rush for outside investigators while the local department is still working the case? He contrasts the reaction with the relative silence around 15-year-old Chloe McDonnell, a Black girl shot and killed on a Jackson walking trail—another young life that didn't fit the preferred narrative. Along the way they touch the Rankin County gun and knife show, the so-called “gun show loophole,” private-sale background checks, and the difference between real accountability and performative outrage. Straight talk, no sugar, FAFO Friday.

Carel HECO/pRack Simulator Chaos: CO₂ Store Startup, Firmware Headaches & High-Pressure Valve SettingsIn this episode of the Advanced Refrigeration Podcast, hosts Brett Wetsel and Kevin Kompus roast the brutal heat and then jump into a messy CO₂ startup at a Jewel-Osco—made worse by electricians missing neutrals on case circuits. From there, they wander into hands-on “FAFO” mode using Carel's RHEC Manager to simulate HECO/pRack controllers, repeatedly running into freezes, blank screens, and the key gotcha: you can't open or simulate a program unless the firmware version and required binary/CT-CD files match, and the firmware isn't visible inside the downloaded variable list. They poke through CO₂ transcritical menus (HPV/receiver/flash tank pressures, valve behaviors, safeties), discuss tuning KP/KI on a pulse-width valve to stop it from slamming shut, and complain about proprietary MultiMAX/Pico programming, limited support, and confusing compressor staging logic, teasing a follow-up on laptop connections and navigation.

**Episode #1261 – The Clay Edwards Show with Creston Berch** More testosterone for your morning drive. Clay and Creston Berch open with steak talk (patio cuts vs. ribeye, air-fryer cubes, meal prep, and a shout-out to Grills of Mississippi for getting the pellet smoker fixed), then hit the 39th annual Mississippi Wildlife Extravaganza in Pearl this weekend—kids free, adults $10 throwback pricing—while noting the competing event at the fairgrounds and the old backwater/pump rift that caused the split. They dig into the data-center push around Jackson and Lake Hico: the deal is done, the six-month “moratorium” is about minority set-asides and political cutouts, electrical and HVAC trades are about to cash in for years, and Fred Shanks nails the real choice—American control of the AI race or Chinese control. No conspiracy required. Main segment: Sophie Cunningham's ESPN interview standing up for biological women and girls in sports, the quiet history of a female-to-male player already in the WNBA, Brittney Griner speculation, Magic Johnson's son as the ultimate “what if,” and why Clay thinks the league that pushed every social-justice fad deserves the FAFO of actual men taking roster spots. Bonus: the USA Today columnist who dragged Emmett Till into a Caitlin Clark complaint and had to walk it back. Derek calls in on the Nolan Wells case—boat culture, bilge pumps, planing out, and why people who've never been on a small pleasure boat keep spreading nonsense. Quick recommendation for Chris Williamson's interview with Annie Jacobsen on the first six days of a bioweapon outbreak. Berry's Seafood ends its free birthday buffet (culture and tipping are the reason). Closing open-mic on Black Lives Matter's “Black people are tired” post—wrong answers only—plus the usual culture-rot notes on public-space respect, speaker-phone etiquette, and why claiming everything is racism means nothing is.

The Clay Edwards Show – Episode 1256: FAFO Friday On this FAFO Friday, Clay kicks things off with some real talk about his TRT journey — building muscle like never before, feeling unstoppable at nearly 50, and why he calls it the fountain of youth (with the caveat that you still gotta put in the work). Clay then shifts gears for a much-needed mental break from the culture wars, opening the floor to listeners about their best concerts ever. He shares his unforgettable experience at the Rock Never Stops tour featuring Quiet Riot, Slaughter, and Warrant — a high-energy night that reignited his lifelong love for 80s hair metal. Expect plenty of nostalgia, stories about the resurgence of rock, grunge discoveries, and classic tales from Lollapalooza, Family Values Tour, and more. Later, Clay dives back into heavier topics: the ongoing Nolan Wells case and his frustration with race-baiters, conspiracy theories, and endless Emmett Till comparisons that cheapen real history. He also breaks down Donald Trump's recent comments on China's role in the 2020 election theft, voter data breaches, and why the evidence keeps getting buried by the mainstream. Unfiltered, no sugar added, and all over the map — just how the show should be. Strap in for laughs, music memories, accountability, and straight talk.
"We all crave more humanity, more tactility, more contact with the real world. And AI done in the right way can be agentic and behind the scenes and be this kind of laid intelligence that sits underneath everything but doesn't need to shout for your attention."David Sheldon-Hicks and his team at Territory Studios build the future for a living, from the interfaces in Dune, The Martian, Guardians of the Galaxy to the real screens in Audis and Cadillacs. So I was excited to have him, and Perry Mason, Territory's head of digital, on the show to explore what's coming next. David expects the future will be less like Marvel (maximalist, everything screaming for your attention) and more like Dune (analog, tactile, with deep intelligence sitting quietly underneath). He calls this "quiet tech" and thinks it's exactly what we're starting to crave. We also explore:What it takes to build near-future interfaces for Hollywood films that are believable in context, yet just out of reach in today's realityWhy exploring dystopian fears can lead to better product designBuilding a live 3D map of the entire planet — and the moment they realized they were designing the plot of a Bond filmWhy anything genuinely valuable stays hard to make: David's pushback on "Hollywood is cooked" and the wave of AI hype promising $10 blockbustersHumanoid robots as universal adapters: Why the world being built for human-shaped things might be the whole case for human-shaped machinesSupport Future Around & Find Out:Follow Dan on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/dblums/Get the free newsletter: https://www.futurearound.comBecome a paid subscriber and help future proof FAFO! https://www.futurearound.com/upgrade
Peter Swimm, Founder of Toilville, is a conversational AI pioneer, and he describes the transformation in healthcare resulting from the use of AI and large language models to address clinician burnout and improve patient outcomes. He emphasizes that technology should adapt to practitioners' workflows rather than forcing practitioners to change their behavior. Human oversight is essential to ensure accuracy and transparency, and Peter advocates for a culture shift where time saved through the use of AI is reinvested in higher-quality patient care and clinician satisfaction. Peter explains, "I think a lot of people think of their problems as a unique snowflake in the world. I think if we boil the ocean down to its elements, it is an understanding of the system of its inhabitants. And so we do a lot of work with small businesses and clients who typically have worked for big companies, and they've chafed at all the rules and the boundaries and the problems. They leave the big company and want to run their own show, but they lose that infrastructure." "A lot of times, they turn to tools like AI and automation, or they buy software products that don't entirely fit their thinking. And so we help them negotiate that pattern where the technology molds to what the presentation layer is and how you want to treat things and handle your data. And you don't change away from what your competitive advantage is, which is being a unique and talented person who runs the show the way they see best." "So I think the challenge is, don't let your FOMO be FAFO. Just because everyone's telling you to do AI and you don't really understand it and you don't see the positive outcomes, don't assume it's like a lack of training on your part." #SPELWork #Toilville #OptInPodcast #ResonantDiversification #AIGovernance #ResponsibleAI #ConsentFirst #DigitalHealth #HealthTech #HealthIT #ClinicalAI #HealthcareAI #PatientAdvocacy #ClinicianBurnout #HealthEquity #SDOH #AIAccountability #AIEthics #AISafety #ConsentFirst #DataSovereignty #HumanInTheLoop #HealthcareInnovation#DigitalHealth #PhysicianBurnout #HealthIT #ConversationalAI #PatientCare toilville.com Listen to the podcast here

Riley Gaines sits down with Congressman John McGuire in Washington, D.C. to discuss President Trump, the FAFO bill, the Riley Gaines Act, women's sports, the SAVE Act, socialism, faith, family, and the fight for America's future. Rep. McGuire shares what Trump is like behind closed doors, why he believes 2026 is a “common sense vs. crazy” election, and how new legislation could protect women, first responders, young homebuyers, and election integrity. They discuss Rep. McGuire's recent dinner with President Trump, the “one big, beautiful bill,” political violence, Charlie Kirk's influence, the rise of socialism, the Riley Gaines Act, protecting women's sports, the American Dream Act, marriage penalties in welfare programs, faith in public service, and what Republicans must do heading into 2026. Rep. **FAFO Friday | Ep. 1243** On this unfiltered episode of *The Clay Edwards Show*, Clay delivers a full-throttle FAFO Friday breakdown of the stories nobody else in Mississippi media will touch. He opens with the stark contrast between the politicized Senatobia officer-involved shooting and the two black-on-black murders that happened in Jackson before 2 p.m. the same day — including the senseless killing of 19-year-old Forest Hill graduate Javion Clinton on Woody Drive, a kid who was already working and headed to the oil fields. Clay calls out the selective outrage and the refusal to confront the real epidemic of violence in urban communities. From there he goes straight at **culture rot**, arguing that 40+ years of rap/hip-hop has done generational damage. He highlights a recent Jason Whitlock segment featuring a black preacher who described certain young Black men as looking like “voodoo witch doctors” with tarantula hair and face tattoos — and Clay agrees, saying the more people pretend it isn't real, the dumber they look. Clay also doesn't spare **white trash**. He breaks down the recent arrests of Simon City Royals gang members (including a guy with a prior shooting conviction) for burglarizing the Jackson impound lot. He uses it as a case study in how conservative communities actually handle their problems versus how Democrat-run cities like Jackson enable and excuse theirs. Big win of the week: SCOTUS ruled 6-3 that the Trump administration can end Temporary Protected Status for roughly 340,000 Haitians and 6,000 Syrians. Clay celebrates it as a restoration of sovereignty and a direct benefit to Black American communities tired of imported gang violence. He also reacts to the wild WNBA moment where a player appeared to try and choke Caitlin Clark, and gives full props to Louisiana pastor Tony Spell — the ultimate FAFO preacher — who handled business when a neighbor threatened to rape and murder his family. Listener comments, merch plugs (buyfafo.com), sponsor shoutouts, and classic Clay rants round out the show. **Strap in. No sugar added. This is reality radio.**

On this episode, Clay is joined in studio by Shelter Insurance agent Jamie Creel and recently retired Clinton Police Officer Creston Berch. The conversation centers on the officer-involved shooting in Senatobia, Mississippi, where a one-year-old child was killed after his mother allegedly attempted to run over police officers following a shoplifting incident at Walmart. Clay pushes back hard against the narrative being pushed by Ben Crump and activists, arguing that the officer was justified in firing and that the blame lies with the adults who chose to flee and put the child in danger. He calls it a tragic but clear-cut case of FAFO, pointing out the hypocrisy of those quick to riot over this incident while remaining silent about the much higher number of black children killed in black-on-black violence. The discussion also touches on the importance of accountability, the dangers of politicizing every police shooting, and why law enforcement officers are often forced to make split-second decisions with life-altering consequences. Jamie Creel also breaks down insurance issues related to flooding and wind/hail claims in Mississippi. It's another unfiltered conversation about culture, consequences, and the refusal to accept personal responsibility.
On this episode, Clay dives into the Senatobia, Mississippi Walmart shooting where a one-year-old baby was killed after his mother allegedly tried to run over police officers following a shoplifting incident. Clay calls it a textbook FAFO case, argues the officer was justified, and says the mother is facing multiple felonies — including murder — once the case reaches a grand jury. He breaks down a video of the mother speaking to media and attorneys, calling out what he believes is scripted misinformation designed to paint the cop as racist. Clay also highlights the glaring hypocrisy between this case and the Carmelo Anthony verdict. He points out that many of the same voices who spent the last week defending Carmelo Anthony for stabbing Austin Metcalfe to death are now rioting and protesting because a cop shot at a vehicle being driven directly at him. The conversation expands into a larger discussion about accountability, “ghetto culture,” fatherlessness, and the refusal to respect authority. Clay plays a voice message from a black woman who listened to the full show and appreciated the honest conversation, and he addresses a viral meme comparing historical Klan violence to modern black-on-black homicide rates. He makes the case that the real issue isn't race — it's a dangerous subculture that glorifies violence, rejects personal responsibility, and refuses to comply with law enforcement. It's raw, unfiltered, and exactly what you've come to expect from The Clay Edwards Show.
On this episode, Clay breaks down the officer-involved shooting in Senatobia, Mississippi, where a one-year-old child was tragically killed after his mother attempted to run over police officers following a shoplifting incident at Walmart. Clay argues the officer was justified, calls it a textbook case of FAFO, and says the mother is facing multiple felonies — including murder — once the case reaches a grand jury. He pushes back hard against Ben Crump's narrative and the protests that erupted outside the Walmart, pointing out the hypocrisy of the same people who spent the previous week defending Carmelo Anthony's actions now demanding justice when a cop shoots at a vehicle being driven directly at him. Clay also gives an update on independent journalist Sarah J. Fields' investigation into a Mississippi LLC that was presented as helping domestic violence survivors and families in crisis, but appears to have been used to funnel donations to Carmelo Anthony's family for his legal appeal. The conversation expands into a larger discussion about accountability, the dangers of “stand on business” culture, fatherlessness, and the refusal to respect authority — themes Clay ties directly to both the Senatobia shooting and the Carmelo Anthony case. He closes with a stark warning about how divided the country has become, referencing a foiled terror plot targeting President Trump's UFC event at the White House. It's raw, unfiltered, and exactly what you expect from The Clay Edwards Show.
Well, that escalated quickly! In the span of a few weeks the Trump administration went from AI regulation is dangerous and we will lose to China to an executive order calling for AI model-makers to submit to a “voluntary” review of their most advanced models to… the Friday night massacre of Anthropic's Fable 5, which they declared too dangerous for any non-US citizen to use, which caused Anthropic to withdraw it completely. So where do go from here? It seems like, de facto, all new models will be subject to review and withdrawal. But on what criteria? And who can we trust to do this fairly? That's what Ron J. Williams and I get into on the latest FAFO. Ron thinks a lot about trust. It's core to the products he builds as a partner at Co-Created and as the founder of Scam Hero, an app he launched to keep people safe after his father trusted the wrong person and got scammed out of more than a million dollars. Ron says: "I think it's fair to say that Anthropic didn't bend the knee hard enough and that's kind of why we're here. The problem with that is that that's not good enough. AI is now global infrastructure. It can't just be the throne that says "Not you, but you,” because it's important enough that it really does beg the question, “who gets to decide?”---Future Around & Find Out newsletter & archive: https://www.futurearound.com
On this episode, Clay celebrates a big win for the FAFO army after raising over $1,200 in merch sales — with a large chunk going directly to the GoFundMe for Covington County Deputy Yates Rodney, who was shot in the line of duty. He also breaks down how he and others exposed a fake GoFundMe set up by the same “Brady List” grifters who were publicly wishing death on the deputy while pretending to support him on another page. After getting caught, those same individuals threatened to hack Clay's personal files using the hacker group Anonymous. Clay then dives deep into independent journalist Sarah J. Fields' investigation into a Mississippi LLC that was presented as helping domestic violence survivors and families in crisis, but appears to have been repurposed to funnel donations to the family of convicted murderer Carmelo Anthony for his legal appeals. He lays out the details of how the Anthony family has been kicked off every legitimate fundraising platform and why so many people are still rushing to support a man convicted of killing a white teenager. The conversation gets raw as Clay addresses the broader cultural issue of why parts of the black community continue to glorify “standing on business” and refusing to walk away from conflict — even when it leads to prison, death, or ruined lives. He connects the Carmelo Anthony case, the Chud the Builder incident, and everyday street confrontations to a dangerous mindset that prioritizes image and retaliation over common sense and self-preservation. It's unfiltered, unapologetic, and exactly what you've come to expect from The Clay Edwards Show.
Kate and Leah cover this week's three Supreme Court opinions—one featuring a killer Ketanji Brown Jackson dissent—before turning to legal news, where bad behavior is everywhere. We've got a violent judge who can't park in Idaho, politically motivated prosecutors in Chicago, and Trump's generationally incompetent personal lawyers failing to do basic lawyering. Finally, Leah speaks with Mary Moriarty, Hennepin County (MN) Attorney, about the charges her office has filed against ICE agents, the breakdown in cooperation between local authorities and the feds, and FAFO, the new coalition of prosecutors fighting back against federal overreach. Sam Altman and Dario Amodei both published essays this week on the future of AI and what we must do so everyone benefits. One of them is literally titled "Our Plan." The other one has an actual plan.Kwaku and I dig into it all on this week's FAFO Friday. Plus — and this story isn't getting enough attention — according to New Scientist, two years ago Ukraine used fully autonomous “Terminator” drones that killed everything they saw. No human in the loop. Dead Russian soldiers. But rest assured, according to the drone-maker cited, it was just a one-off “test.” But how long until this is standard practice? And do we want that future? So, yeah, maybe we should get planning… ---Support Future Around & Find Out:* Follow Dan on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/dblums/* Get the free newsletter: https://www.futurearound.com* Become a paid subscriber and help future proof FAFO! https://www.futurearound.com/upgradeMusic by Jonathan Zalben
Rajiv Pant thinks of AI as an Iron Man suit for the mind. Something you put on. That you fuse with. That takes you to greater heights — but could also make you incredibly dizzy and be very dangerous if you, the human, don't stay in control of it.Rajiv sees successful collaboration with AI as a “synthesis.” And to that end, he's building a series of skills and methodologies for synthesis engineering, coding, writing and project management. In this episode, Rajiv explains why synthesis engineering is a kind of middle ground between vibe coding and agentic engineering. It's a method for human-AI collaboration that helps builders go faster while not falling into the trap of letting AI do the things we humans ought to own. i.e. The architecture. The judgment. The thinking and learning. Rajiv is an engineering and product leader with deep experience in media. He's held senior roles at the Wall Street Journal, Hearst, and the New York Times (where he and I first met). Today he's the president of Flatiron Software. Rajiv has open-sourced all of his Synthesis methodologies and he and I also discuss why open source is so important as we increasingly turn to AI to sharpen our thinking. Clay hands out a new FAFO Championship to Justin Fowler, who managed to turn a 20-day jail stint into a five-year prison sentence. Fowler, who was already on a suspended 10-year sentence for aggravated domestic violence, couldn't stay out of trouble even for a few weeks behind bars. After testing positive for cocaine and marijuana, Fowler had his probation revoked. But things got worse when Rankin County investigators caught him on camera receiving contraband — including a vape pen — during a jail visit from his attorney and her son. Judge Dewey Arthur wasn't having it and sentenced Fowler to five years in prison. Clay breaks down how Fowler risked years of his freedom just to hit a vape in jail and calls out the pattern of self-destructive behavior that keeps landing him in trouble. After protesters showed up outside the station demanding he be fired, Clay delivers one of his most direct and unapologetic opening segments to date. He addresses the protest head-on and makes it crystal clear that he has zero intention of backing down or softening his message. Clay runs through the long list of topics that have made him a target over the years — calling out culture rot, the breakdown of the family, fatherlessness, crime, degeneracy, and defending law enforcement. He also doubles down on his criticism of the LGBTQ agenda, which he has dubbed “Rainbow Supremacy.” He then delivers a clear message to everyone who has ever been offended by his show: he is not sorry, and he will not apologize. Clay closes the segment with a memorable line, telling his critics they can talk about their Bible, their Johns, and their Pauls — but if they keep fucking around with him, they're going to learn about FAFO 3:16. This opening is a strong declaration that Clay Edwards is staying exactly who he is. Full episode available now @savejxn on YouTube & X (Ep #1,228)

1. Military Morale and Leadership U.S. military morale has significantly strengthened by a commander-in-chief who is willing to risk substantial resources to rescue a single American service member. Trump is contrasted against Clinton (Somalia), Obama (Libya), and Biden (Afghanistan), portraying those administrations as failing to protect troops. The U.S. military ethos: soldiers fight aggressively because they trust that medics, rescue forces, and leadership will risk everything to save them. 2. U.S. Military Culture and “Quiet Math of American Violence” Highlight inter-service respect (Marines, Navy corpsmen, Air Force PJs). American combat effectiveness comes not just from training or equipment, but from certainty that help will arrive under fire, reinforcing battlefield courage. 3. Trump’s Iran Policy and Deterrence Strategy Trump’s foreign policy is: “FAFO” (forceful consequences for aggression) Transactional with allies (support is conditional) Infrastructure strikes are: Intended to cripple military and economic capability Designed to pressure the population to overthrow the regime A deliberate choice not to destroy oil infrastructure to preserve post‑conflict recovery potential 4. War Crimes Accusations and Legal Defense Democrats and media figures are labeling infrastructure strikes as “war crimes.” This is countered by citing the Pentagon’s Law of War Manual, arguing that power generation and infrastructure supporting military operations can be lawful military objectives. 5. View of Iranian Leadership Iran’s rulers are theocratic extremists who: Do not care about civilian suffering Are willing to sacrifice large portions of their population Doubts are expressed about whether economic devastation would deter or influence regime behavior. 6. Immigration and Violent Crime Violent crimes committed by undocumented immigrants are widespread and underreported Democratic policies (sanctuary cities, TPS, opposition to ICE) directly enabled these crimes Several specific criminal cases argue that border enforcement failures have led to American deaths.
