This episode is a mix of heavy emotions and powerful moments. I share some personal updates, including prepping my truck for sale and the heartbreaking passing of my aunt on Saturday. Then, a random movie night turns into a deep conversation about suicide awareness.I also reflect on an unforgettable memorial for Eric at 240Tuesday, where the community showed up in full force to honor his life. Seeing so many familiar faces—Cid , Johnne Sou (aka E60daddy), Taylor from Karuma, Ivan from VJC Tires, Zo (who y'all have heard on the show before), and even Albert and Yesi—made the night even more meaningful. Having Eric's car towed in and set up as part of the memorial was surreal, a moment none of us will ever forget.Amid all this, a reminder: You are the constant in every good thing that has happened in your life.I wrap up with some car talk—Sunday is going to be all about tuning and prepping for a track day coming up. And my advice for the week? 10/10 recommend putting yourself first for once and being a passionate little freak about your happiness.Stay Golden y'all

Tuğçe Isıyel'in ilk kitabı Ya Hiç Karşılaşmasaydık'tan beri onun sıkı bir okuruyum. Video

Daily Halacha Podcast - Daily Halacha By Rabbi Eli J. Mansour

The Gemara teaches in Masechet Ta'anit (29), "Mi'shenichnas Adar Marbim Be'simha" – "When Adar comes, we increase our joy." Rashi explains, "Because of the miracles that were performed for Israel – Purim and Pesah." According to Rashi, then, the special joy of Adar is due to two miracles – the Purim miracle, and the miracle of the Exodus which we celebrate on Pesah. It thus emerges that the obligation to be joyful applies not only during Adar, but also during Nissan, in which we celebrate the miracle of Yesi'at Misrayim. Our Rabbis explain this observance on the basis of the concept of "Hazaka." When something happens once, it could be just a fluke, and does not necessarily reflect a consistent pattern. But when it happens twice (according to one view in the Gemara), then this establishes a "Hazaka," a pattern. And thus if the Jewish people experienced great miracles on just one month, this would not necessarily prove that we are blessed with good Mazal (fortune). But once we have two consecutive months of great miracles, we have a "Hazaka" of favorable Mazal which warrants joy and celebration. Besides the miracles of Purim and Pesah, there is also an additional reason for the special joy of Adar. Rav Levi Yishak of Berditchev (Ukraine, 1740-1809), in his Kedushat Levi (Parashat Mishpatim), notes that the month of Adar always begins immediately following the period of "Shobabim," the six weeks when we repent and seek to correct sins associated with the Berit. During this period, we attempt to retrieve the sparks of holiness that had been seized by the Sitra Ahara, by the forces of impurity associated with Esav. The Torah describes Esav at his birth as "Ke'aderet Se'ar" ("as though dressed in a cloak of hair" – Bereshit 25:25). And thus when the Sages teach, "Mi'shenichnas Adar Marbim Be'simha," it means that when we retrieve the sparks from "Adar" – from Esav, who is referred to as the "Aderet" – we are joyful. We celebrate in Adar because we have restored the sparks of holiness through our repentance during "Shobabim," and we are thus able to serve Hashem with greater purity. Indeed, the month of Adar is associated with Yosef Ha'sadik, who embodies the ideal of Shemirat Ha'yesod, preserving the sanctity of the Berit. It is therefore written that one should be especially careful during the month of Adar to avoid wine (except on Purim day, of course), which could lead to inappropriate conduct, and to ensure that he does not stumble upon sin, Heaven forbid. The constellation of the month of Adar is the fish (Pisces). The word "Dagim" ("fish") represents the phrase "Yod Gimal Mechilan De'rahameh" – the thirteen attributes of compassion. The month of Adar is a special month of mercy and kindness for the Jewish people, when we are able to receive direct influence from the highest levels in the heavens. This opportunity – to be at the level of Keter and receive blessings from the highest levels of sanctity – is normally reserved for Minha time on Shabbat, but we also have access to this power during the month of Adar, and especially on Purim day itself. This is a month that is especially well-suited for prayers, for striving for holiness, and for receiving Hashem's great blessings. For this reason, our Sages teach that if one has a court case against a gentile, he should try to schedule the trial for the month of Adar, as this is a special month of joy, blessing and good fortune.

In this episode, I dive into two concepts that hit hard this weekend—one I've known and one that completely shook me. First, you can't expect yourself from others. And second, people will be happy for you… until you're doing “better” than they are. Whether it's love, career success, or experiencing things they haven't, not everyone is clapping for you the way you think.I continued this conversation with Albert and Yesi on Sunday, unpacking even more layers. Plus, a wild full-circle moment—an old friend from high school hit me up about an episode from two years ago that's been helping him. It reminded me of how long I've been doing this and how dope it is that we've built something that resonates. And of course, some advice to leave you with:"Better to admit you walked through the wrong door than spend your entire life in the wrong room." – Grant Cardone"I found my rhythm when I realized that even the steps backward were part of the dance." – Melody GodfredTap in, reflect, and keep moving forward.

After Saturday's event with G & The Coyotes, I was overwhelmed by the support from people who genuinely believe in what I do. It kicked off with a cozy pizza night on Friday, followed by celebrating my nephew's birthday. The weekend wrapped up with a Sunday Funday spent with Albert and Yesi, finishing at the beach, soaking in the sunset. But here's the problem: you think you have time. On average, we get 80 summers if we're lucky. So, don't put off that trip or wait for life to begin. Stay up late with friends, get up early to watch the sunrise, catch every sunset, book that trip, hike, and head to the beach. Most importantly, spend time with those you love and tell them how you feel. This week's advice is to live by three simple rules: 1. Love needs ACTION. 2. Trust needs PROOF. 3. Sorry needs CHANGE. Let's talk about making the most of every moment and living with intention. Stay Golden y'all

Passover – The Spiritual Lights That Come Down at the Seder

The Arizal (Rav Yishak Luria of Safed, 1534-1572) taught that on the night of the Seder, a great spiritual light descends from the heavens as a result of the Misvot that we perform. Although we always bring down spiritual light through our performance of Misvot, the Arizal explained that the lights come down on the night of the Seder in a special way. Normally, the lights of "Katnut" ("youth") descend first, before the lights of "Gadlut" ("adulthood"). (More specifically, there is first "Katnut Rishon" and then "Gadlut Rishon," which is followed by "Katnut Sheni" and then "Gadlut Sheni.") On Pesah, however, it is reversed: the great lights of "Gadlut" come down before the smaller lights of "Katnut." It is explained that the order is reversed on this night because it had to be reversed at the time of Yesi'at Misrayim (the Exodus from Egypt). If the smaller lights would have descended first, the negative spiritual forces in Egypt, which were exceptionally powerful, would have been able to withstand this power. G-d therefore sent down the great lights of "Gadlut" first, which the negative spiritual forces were unable to withstand, and this phenomenon repeats itself each year on the night of the Seder, when we commemorate Yesi'at Misrayim. The Ben Ish Hai (Rav Yosef Haim of Baghdad, 1833-1909), in his work Od Yosef Hai (Shana Rishona, Parashat Sav; listen to audio recording for precise citation), explains the deeper meaning of the Ma Nishtana on the basis of this concept. He writes that the lights of "Gadlut" come down to the Seder table through the recitation of Kiddush, and then when we dip the Karpas, the "Katnut" lights come down. The children, who are "Ketanim" ("minors") and thus sense the reversal of the sequence of "Gadlut" and "Katnut," ask why things are different on this night, how it is possible for the "adult" lights to come before the "child" lights, resembling an adult turning into a child. The answer to this question is "Abadim Hayinu Le'Pharaoh Be'Misrayim" – we were slaves of Pharaoh in Egypt, a place with a very strong "Kelipa" ("outer shell"), meaning, powerful negative forces. The impurity in Egypt was so strong that if G-d had not redeemed us on the night of Pesah, we would still be there even today. We therefore needed the unusual sequence of "Gadlut" before "Katnut" to break those forces and enable us to leave, and this sequence occurs again each year when we fulfill the Misvot of Pesah. One might naturally wonder whether the child at the Seder is really aware of this sequence of spiritual lights at the Seder, such that he can ask this question. Many adults cannot comprehend these esoteric concepts, and certainly these topics lie well beyond the grasp of the young child asking the Ma Nishtana. The Ben Ish Hai writes that Hazal nevertheless established that the child should ask this question because his soul indeed understands these concepts and senses the changes that occur on the night of the Seder. The soul of a "Katan," a child, is especially sensitive to the "Katnut" lights and detects that the "Gadlut" lights come first on this night. Indeed, the Gemara in Masechet Megila (3) comments that oftentimes a person's soul is able to discern things which we are not consciously able to perceive. The Ben Ish Hai's comments emphasize the depth and significance of each word of the Haggadah, and even the section which is read by the young children. This is why we make the children recite the Ma Nishtana, as this recitation, whereby the children involve themselves in deep concepts, serves as a Tikkun (rectification) of their souls. And thus we should be aware that beyond the straightforward meaning of the text of the Haggadah, there are many additional layers of depth and profundity which lend to this night a special dimension of spiritual significance.
