Welcome back to the Always Bayern Chelsea show for the 118th episode. We've finally caught our breath and are able to review the thrilling DFB Pokal first round match where Bayern Munich narrowly beat 3. Liga side Wehen Wiesbaden 3-2, advancing in the tournament. We hit all the stops in this episode also talking about the potential Nico Jackson transfer AND previewing the upcoming Bundesliga matchup between Bayern Munich and FC Augsburg as well as the English Premiere League matchup between Chelsea and Fulham. We kick things off with an introduction and a FULL breakdown of the big German Cup opening round matchup for Bayern Munich against Wehen. We talk about Kompany's varied lineup/tactics and why we were fans of integrating youngsters into the mix for this one. Then we talk about all of the match highlights, scoring/substitutions, player performances, and give out match awards. Everything looked to be going to plan for the Bavarians when Harry Kane scored a penalty, and Michael Olise scored putting them up 2-0. Things then went off the rails as Bayern missed chances & allowed two goals when the defense fell asleep. Luckily Kane came to the rescue in the closing seconds of the match scoring the third and final goal of the match assisted by Josip Stanišić. We then dive into a full preview of Bayern's Bundesliga clash this weekend with FC Augsburg. We break down what we foresee Kompany to roll with as the Starting XI, potential tactics, key players to watch in this one, and of course a prediction of the final score. Then, we break down the rumors swirling around Chelsea striker Nico Jackson and that he may be on his way to Munich for a loan deal. What would this mean for both teams? Finally, we close out by previewing Chelsea's EPL matchup with Fulham. We talk about past matches, who Enzo Maresca may roll with, tactics/strategies, as well as important players to watch out for. Another massive victory for Chelsea, this time in matchday 2 of the English Premier League season. Jim reacts a couple of days late as he was in Up North Wisconsin over the long weekend. He was able to watch live, but now he gives his full thoughts on Sunday night to discuss the Chelsea match against West Ham. It was another London derby for the Blues to begin the season, and the start of the match wasn't the greatest. For Jim it was a brutal first 20 minutes of being on a roller coaster. Chelsea turned things around pretty quickly and ended up putting 3 goals past the Fulham defense in the first half - Pedro, Neto, and Fernandez. Caicedo and Chalobah each added a goal in the second half, and the rout was on. Jim discusses the great performance for the team - tactically, defensively, and on the attack. He was very impressed with how they bounced back from being down 1-0, albeit against a very weak Graham Potter managed team. Please watch this video on YouTube, listen on the podcasts, and everything in between! We'd love a comment and a like as well!

Welcome to the Always Bayern Chelsea show. BAYERN MUNICH ARE FRANZ BECKENBAUER SUPER CUP CHAMPIONS. FOOTBALL IS BACK. We cover it all in this episode of the show. We kick things off with a beautiful rendition of “Feeling Good”. Then, we dive into Bayern Munich's incredible 2-1 victory over VFB Stuttgart to pick up their first trophy of the season. Tensions are rising between Bayern Munich and Stuttgart as Stuttgart remain firm on holding Nick Woltemade captive despite the player's desire to move to Bavaria and Bayern Munich offering over double his current market value to make the move happen. In this episode we break all of that down and we look at Vincent Kompany's tactics, lineup, match highlights, scoring/substitutions and even hand out player awards. Harry Kane opened up the scoring in this with a wonderful goal while Luis Diaz found the dagger late assisted by Serge Gnabry. Heck of a performance by Manuel Neuer and Dayot Upamecano as well. Next, we move over to Chelsea Football Club for their disappointing English Premier League home opener draw to Crystal Palace 0-0. We break down Enzo Maresca's lineup/tactics, match highlights, scoring/substitutions, and of course hand out match awards. While Chelsea's defenders held strong lead by Reece James and a clean sheet from Robert Sanchez, the attack lead by Cole Palmer was extremely lackluster. Chelsea hope to move past this one when they take on West Ham on Friday 8/22. Bayern Munich plays their first Bundesliga match on the same day against RB Leipzig. Stay tuned for full coverage of those matches and of course don't forget to listen for our special shoutout to HULL CITY in this one. Bayern was bounced in the quarter finals by Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea avenged the Bavarians by beating PSG to win the whole thing. Danny questions whether or not Bayern can be world beaters this season, how they will fill the Jamal Musiala and Thomas Muller sized holes in the squad, whether or not they will be able to make any impact signings, and if Vincent Kompany is up to the task to grow this team in his second season as manager. Welcome to the Always Bayern Chelsea show. Subscribe to the Always Bayern Chelsea YouTube channel to stay up to date with all of the latest transfer news, previews, breakdowns, predictions, and so much more. Danny kicks things off with a short introduction previewing all of the cool incoming videos and plans that Always Bayern Chelsea has on the docket. Many things go into these rankings including a players talent level, floor and ceiling, as well as how well they will fit into Bayern Munich's current system under manager Vincent Kompany. He also looks at whether or not Bayern has a plan for these players going forward. He's predicting S or A tier players to instantly improve Bayern Munich's chances at winning multiple trophies and making a deep run in European competitions this upcoming 2025/2026 season, while C or D tier players might not have a role on the team at the moment or would likely only be used as depth pieces. Some players discussed like Florian Wirtz, Nico Williams, and Bradely Barcola will not be joining Bayern this season while others like Luis Diaz or Nick Woltemade seem to have a better shot. Danny mostly talks about attacking players since Bayern's main transfer strategy at the moment seems to be around filling that hole at LW as well as finding someone to back up Jamal Musiala and Harry Kane. The Bavarians will be losing Leroy Sane and Thomas Muller and are looking to fill those shoes and bolster the attack. Other players discussed include Chelsea's Christopher Nkunku, Xavi Simons, Rafael Leao, Eberechi Eze, Kaoru Mitoma, Marcus Rashford, Leandro Trossard, Rodrygo, Cody Gapko, and more! Welcome to the Always Bayern Chelsea show. The 102nd episode of the show sees Danny breaking down Bayern Munich's heartbreaking loss in the FIFA Club World Cup to Paris Saint-Germain. The match was devastating for so many reasons, some bigger than football. Subscribe to the Always Bayern Chelsea YouTube channel for full coverage of the remainder of the CWC and all of the summer transfer news going forward. Bayern Munich lost a hard fought match to the best team in the world PSG by a final score of 2-0 to get eliminated from the FIFA CWC. Bayern & PSG truly put on one of the best matches of football we've seen in recent memory, two giants of the game going toe to toe at the highest of levels. All of this was unfortunately overshadowed by Jamal Musiala's gruesome injury from a reckless challenge by Paris keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. The match was truly bizarre & fate was against the Bavarians. We saw multiple injuries to Bayern players, two offside goals, and a disallowed penalty. Danny breaks down the entire match from Vincent Kompany's lineup/tactics, to match highlights/lowlights, to scoring/injuries/cards, and individual player performances. Bayern's press was giving PSG all sorts of fits as the match began but no goals ended up sticking. Globally known as one of the poorest referees in the world. Anthony Taylor called no foul as Donnarumma snapped Musiala's ankle altering the trajectory of the game and Bayern Munich's entire upcoming season. PSG lost control of the match towards the end, earning two red cards for dangerous challenges involving studs to Leon Goretzka's leg and an elbow to Guerreiro's head. Josip Stanisic also suffered a hamstring injury and had to be subbed out. Before all was said and done Desire Doue and Ousmane Dembele scored incredible goals and a handball in the box by PSG was awarded before Taylor inexplicably took it away. Bayern Munich is eliminated from the tournament. Chelsea's fortunates look great as they have a simple path to the CWC final. They beat Palmeiras 2-1 yesterday. Jim discusses Chelsea's group stage win in the FIFA Club World Cup against LAFC. They played on June 16th in Atlanta at the Mercedes Benz Stadium. It was a fairly easy match for the boys in blue, and they got it done with a 2-0 victory. Goals were scored by Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernandez, with the assists coming from Nico Jackson and Liam Delap. Delap and Dario Essugo both made their Chelsea debuts after being signed to the team over the last month. Enzo Maresca set his team up very strong, setting the tone for the rest of the group stage and tournament. Jim thought there was some inconsistent play, but overall was happy with the performance. Onto the next match on June 20th in Philly against Flamengo!

Bayern Munich just saw the Bundesliga title slip from their grasp at the last possible second against RB Leipzig. Welcome to the Always Bayern Chelsea show. In this episode Danny breaks down this rollercoaster match from top to bottom. Subscribe to the Always Bayern Chelsea YouTube channel for full coverage of the remainder of the football season, all the news, trophy celebrations, and community you can image. Bayern Munich faced off against RB Leipzig with a chance to become champions of the Bundesliga with a win. Instead we got a crazy 3-3 draw with plenty of lows and then highs and then a final second stoppage time goal to halt the already begun celebrations. Danny takes to the mic with emotions running high to break down Vincent Kompany's lineup (yes Harry Kane was suspended), tactics, player performances, and all the match highlights/lowlights. An early defensive miscommunication and collapse from Bayern saw keeper Jonas Urbig far off his line setting up a simple Benjamin Sesko goal which was followed by another Leipzig goal sending them off to a blazing 2-0 start. In the second half Bayern Munich scored two goals in less than a minute to equalize. Eric Dier's header assisted by a Michael Olise corner and then Olise getting a goal himself assisted by Serge Gnabry. Finally, late in the match Leroy Sane scored what was seemingly the Bundesliga dagger in the 83 minute from a Joshua Kimmich assist flick. Players and Vincent Kompany himself were beginning title celebrations after 4 minutes of added stoppage time when Kingsley Coman failed to clear a ball in the box and Yussuf Poulsen chipped an equalizer over Urbig in the 95th minute. A single point in this match was enough to guarantee at best Bayer Leverkusen can equal Bayern Munich in points and the Bavarians hold a 30 goal lead in goal differential. The title is all but theirs but mathematically nothing can be awarded until either Leverkusen loses or draws to SC Freiburg or Bayern Munich beats or draws to Borussia Mönchengladbach next week at the Allianz Arena. Welcome to the Always Bayern Chelsea show. ONE MORE WIN is all it will take for Bayern Munich to win the Bundesliga this season after beating Mainz 05 by a convincing score of 3-0. Chelsea also beat Everton 1-0 in an important English Premiere League match. Subscribe to the Always Bayern Chelsea YouTube channel to join the community and stay tuned with how the season shapes up. We kick this episode off by discussing Chelsea's big time EPL 1-0 win over Everton. It wasn't the most interesting match but a win is a win at this crucial point in the season. We break down Enzo Maresca's prematch comments, his lineup/tactics, match highlights, and player performances. Nicolas Jackson scored the lone goal of the match and was assisted by Enzo Fernandez. Chelsea was setup a bit differently in this match and we talk about what they should look like going forward for the remainder of the season. We break down Chelsea's remaining EPL and Conference League matches and what we're looking for out of them. Next up is Bayern Munich beating Mainz 05 in the Bundesliga 3-0. It was an overall great performance from the Bavarians but a win for Bayer Leverkusen over FC Augsburg means that the league will not be decided today. Bayern Munich needs one more win in their remaining three matches to clinch the league title. This could happen as early as next week away at RB Leipzig. We take a look at today's match by talking about both teams under Bo Henriksen and Vincent Kompany so far this season, lineups, tactics, match highlights, and player performances. Leroy Sane, Michael Olise, and Eric Dier scored for Bayern Munich with Olise and Konrad Laimer picking up assists. The dark stain on an otherwise great day was a wrongly award yellow card to Harry Kane. This being Kane's 5th yellow card of the season (and no reset rule like other leagues have) means that Kane will miss next weeks potentially title clinching matchup with a suspension. We talk about how special Jonas Urbig has been so far filling in for an injured Manuel Neuer with another clean sheet and we talk in more detail how players like Dier, Laimer, and Olise have really stepped up in key moments this season. Finally, this match was special was it saw the league debut for Jonah Kusi-Asare as well as Thomas Muller's 500th Bundesliga appearance. Welcome back to the Always Bayern Chelsea show for an emotionally charged VIDEO episode. Recorded shortly after Bayern Munich's elimination from the Champions League, Danny takes to the mic with his break down and reaction. Subscribe to the Always Bayern Chelsea YouTube channel to check out all of our video episodes and stay up to date with the latest coverage of everything Bayern Munich and Chelsea football club. This one stings. Bayern Munich traveled to Milan and put up a valiant effort at San Siro, only to come up short with a 2-2 draw. This means that they have been defeated 4-3 on aggregate over two legs to Inter Milan and will not be advancing to the UCL semifinals against Hansi Flick's Barcelona. Their dreams of UCL glory at home in the Allianz Arena for Thomas Muller's final season with the club have been shattered. Danny does a deep dive into the match and tries to figure out where things went wrong. He looks at the events leading up to the match, key injuries, Muller not starting last week, missed chances, foolish concessions, and overall fatigue. He breaks down Vincent Kompany's starting lineup, tactics, all of the match highlights, individual player performances, and hands out match awards. Danny tries to process all of the raw emotions from the match. Harry Kane scored the opening goal of the match assisted by Leon Goretzka and Eric Dier scored Bayern's final goal, assisted by Serge Gnabry. Danny passionately defends Harry Kane from the hate he wrongly receives even after showing up big once again in the UCL knockout match for Bayern Munich. He even talks about expectations and how head coach Vincent Kompany is handling the season so far as a whole. There's still a Bundesliga title to be won and Bayern Munich is already back in action on Saturday against Heidenheim. Stay tuned for full match coverage and more. Bayern Munich beat an in-form FC Augsburg 3-1 in a fun Bundesliga battle under the Friday night lights. But at what cost? Back to the match, we offer a full breakdown of Vincent Kompany's lineup, tactics, player performances, all of the match highlights, and even match awards for the key players. The final goal of the match was awarded as a goal to Leroy Sane before being changed to an own goal for Matisma on Augsburg. Danny closes things off by looking ahead to the Champions League Quarter Final showdown with Inter as well as Der Klassiker with Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
