Jim discusses Chelsea's group stage win in the FIFA Club World Cup against LAFC. They played on June 16th in Atlanta at the Mercedes Benz Stadium. It was a fairly easy match for the boys in blue, and they got it done with a 2-0 victory. Goals were scored by Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernandez, with the assists coming from Nico Jackson and Liam Delap. Delap and Dario Essugo both made their Chelsea debuts after being signed to the team over the last month. Enzo Maresca set his team up very strong, setting the tone for the rest of the group stage and tournament. Jim thought there was some inconsistent play, but overall was happy with the performance. Onto the next match on June 20th in Philly against Flamengo!

Bayern Munich just saw the Bundesliga title slip from their grasp at the last possible second against RB Leipzig. Welcome to the Always Bayern Chelsea show. In this episode Danny breaks down this rollercoaster match from top to bottom. Subscribe to the Always Bayern Chelsea YouTube channel for full coverage of the remainder of the football season, all the news, trophy celebrations, and community you can image. Bayern Munich faced off against RB Leipzig with a chance to become champions of the Bundesliga with a win. Instead we got a crazy 3-3 draw with plenty of lows and then highs and then a final second stoppage time goal to halt the already begun celebrations. Danny takes to the mic with emotions running high to break down Vincent Kompany's lineup (yes Harry Kane was suspended), tactics, player performances, and all the match highlights/lowlights. An early defensive miscommunication and collapse from Bayern saw keeper Jonas Urbig far off his line setting up a simple Benjamin Sesko goal which was followed by another Leipzig goal sending them off to a blazing 2-0 start. In the second half Bayern Munich scored two goals in less than a minute to equalize. Eric Dier's header assisted by a Michael Olise corner and then Olise getting a goal himself assisted by Serge Gnabry. Finally, late in the match Leroy Sane scored what was seemingly the Bundesliga dagger in the 83 minute from a Joshua Kimmich assist flick. Players and Vincent Kompany himself were beginning title celebrations after 4 minutes of added stoppage time when Kingsley Coman failed to clear a ball in the box and Yussuf Poulsen chipped an equalizer over Urbig in the 95th minute. A single point in this match was enough to guarantee at best Bayer Leverkusen can equal Bayern Munich in points and the Bavarians hold a 30 goal lead in goal differential. The title is all but theirs but mathematically nothing can be awarded until either Leverkusen loses or draws to SC Freiburg or Bayern Munich beats or draws to Borussia Mönchengladbach next week at the Allianz Arena. Be sure to tune back in for a BIG celebration next weekend. Until then Mia San Mia. Subscribe to the YouTube channel to stay updated! Thanks for listening/watching. Welcome to the Always Bayern Chelsea show. ONE MORE WIN is all it will take for Bayern Munich to win the Bundesliga this season after beating Mainz 05 by a convincing score of 3-0. Chelsea also beat Everton 1-0 in an important English Premiere League match. Subscribe to the Always Bayern Chelsea YouTube channel to join the community and stay tuned with how the season shapes up. We kick this episode off by discussing Chelsea's big time EPL 1-0 win over Everton. It wasn't the most interesting match but a win is a win at this crucial point in the season. We break down Enzo Maresca's prematch comments, his lineup/tactics, match highlights, and player performances. Nicolas Jackson scored the lone goal of the match and was assisted by Enzo Fernandez. Chelsea was setup a bit differently in this match and we talk about what they should look like going forward for the remainder of the season. We break down Chelsea's remaining EPL and Conference League matches and what we're looking for out of them. Next up is Bayern Munich beating Mainz 05 in the Bundesliga 3-0. It was an overall great performance from the Bavarians but a win for Bayer Leverkusen over FC Augsburg means that the league will not be decided today. Bayern Munich needs one more win in their remaining three matches to clinch the league title. This could happen as early as next week away at RB Leipzig. We take a look at today's match by talking about both teams under Bo Henriksen and Vincent Kompany so far this season, lineups, tactics, match highlights, and player performances. Leroy Sane, Michael Olise, and Eric Dier scored for Bayern Munich with Olise and Konrad Laimer picking up assists. The dark stain on an otherwise great day was a wrongly award yellow card to Harry Kane. This being Kane's 5th yellow card of the season (and no reset rule like other leagues have) means that Kane will miss next weeks potentially title clinching matchup with a suspension. We talk about how special Jonas Urbig has been so far filling in for an injured Manuel Neuer with another clean sheet and we talk in more detail how players like Dier, Laimer, and Olise have really stepped up in key moments this season. Finally, this match was special was it saw the league debut for Jonah Kusi-Asare as well as Thomas Muller's 500th Bundesliga appearance. Welcome back to the Always Bayern Chelsea show for an emotionally charged VIDEO episode. Recorded shortly after Bayern Munich's elimination from the Champions League, Danny takes to the mic with his break down and reaction. Subscribe to the Always Bayern Chelsea YouTube channel to check out all of our video episodes and stay up to date with the latest coverage of everything Bayern Munich and Chelsea football club. This one stings. Bayern Munich traveled to Milan and put up a valiant effort at San Siro, only to come up short with a 2-2 draw. This means that they have been defeated 4-3 on aggregate over two legs to Inter Milan and will not be advancing to the UCL semifinals against Hansi Flick's Barcelona. Their dreams of UCL glory at home in the Allianz Arena for Thomas Muller's final season with the club have been shattered. Danny does a deep dive into the match and tries to figure out where things went wrong. He looks at the events leading up to the match, key injuries, Muller not starting last week, missed chances, foolish concessions, and overall fatigue. He breaks down Vincent Kompany's starting lineup, tactics, all of the match highlights, individual player performances, and hands out match awards. Danny tries to process all of the raw emotions from the match. Harry Kane scored the opening goal of the match assisted by Leon Goretzka and Eric Dier scored Bayern's final goal, assisted by Serge Gnabry. Danny passionately defends Harry Kane from the hate he wrongly receives even after showing up big once again in the UCL knockout match for Bayern Munich. He even talks about expectations and how head coach Vincent Kompany is handling the season so far as a whole. There's still a Bundesliga title to be won and Bayern Munich is already back in action on Saturday against Heidenheim. Stay tuned for full match coverage and more. Welcome to the 69th episode of the Always Bayern Chelsea show. This one here is another video episode that you can check out on YouTube to see our epic faces. We kick this one off with an introduction give you an update on how we're handling the snowy Wisconsin winter as well as detail how you can get in on our 100 Subscriber giveaway! Subscribing is the first step! Chelsea was in action this weekend in the English Premiere League and turned in an upsetting performance losing 0-3 against Brighton. We kick this one off with a match breakdown including tactics, match highlights, and player performances. We hit on all the key moments in the match but there isn't much to discuss on the Chelsea side in terms of action. Instead, we spend more time talking about what Enzo Maresca needs to do in order to course correct because he was outclassed in this match. We look at Chelsea's squad building, ownership, and certain players as well in order to figure out how they can fix this season before things go completely off the rails. We breakdown if they can finish in top 4/5 and earn a Champions League spot before it's too late. They play Aston Villa next in the EPL. Bayern Munich faced off against the reigning Bundesliga champions and current 2nd place team in the table Bayer Leverkusen. The result was a 0-0 draw. We breakdown Vincent Kompany's lineup, coaching tactics, as well as match highlights, and player performances. For the first time all season we saw Bayern focus almost all of their effort on defending. Unlike usual Bayern Munich did not control possession, registered only two shots and zero shots on target, and it felt like they escaped lucky to draw. Even though Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen dominated Bayern through and through, the Bavarians put up an excellent defense showing. Dayot Upamecano looked like the best player on the pitch, the whole backline was stellar, and Manuel Neuer saved the day with some clutch saves. We discuss what this means for Bayern's season going forward in the Bundesliga and in the Champions League. We will have full coverage of the return leg at the Allianz Arena midweek vs. Celtic in the UCL Round of 16 play-in. AND Bayern faces off against Frankfurt in the Bundesliga next weekend! After a brief introduction and housekeeping session, we head into our breakdown of Chelsea's 5-0 thrashing of Morecambe in the third round of the FA Cup on 1/11/25. Harry Kane scored the lone goal of the match on a penalty that Michael Olise drew. Danny breaks down the Bundesliga table and discusses Leverkusen's recent play as well as what he expects for the seaon going forward. Happy Holidays from the Always Bayern Chelsea crew! Welcome to the IMPROVED Always Bayern Chelsea show complete with introduction music for the first team ever. (As long as we can clear that copyright). This is a big one, Bayern winning in the Bundesliga, and Chelsea winning/drawing the UEFA Conference League/English Premiere League. We kick things off by talking about Bayern Munich's potentially best performance of the season in their final match of the hinrunde in their massive 5-1 win over RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga on 12/19. We take a moment to mention the tragedy that occurred as the match was playing out in Germany at the Magdeburg Christmas Market. And as usual look at lineups, coaching tactics, individual player performances, and all the match highlights before handing out our match awards. Jamal Musiala, Konrad Laimer, Joshua Kimmich, Leroy Sane, and Alphonso Davies all scored for Bayern Munich while Michael Olise, Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies, and Joshua Kimmich all provided assists. Benjamin Sesko scored Leipzigs only goal assisted by Lois Openda. What's next for Bayern Munich heading into the winter pause before the next match against M'gladbach? There's lots of contract situations on-going as well as players that need to get healthy. We certainly won't be taking a pause this winter. We move over to Chelsea to discuss both the 5-1 victory over Shamrock Rovers in the Conference League on 12/19 as well as the draw verus Everton in the EPL on 12/22. As always we review lineups, tactics, key moments in the matches, and big player performances. And of course deciding on match awards to dole out. In Chelsea's major Conference League win they had a hat trick from Marc Guiu as well as goals from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and Marc Cucurella with assists from Christopher Nkunku and Noni Madueke. Their frustrating effort against Everton was goal-less but Robert Sanchez provided multiple impressive and important saves to salvage a point for Chelsea. There's no winter break over in England and Chelsea now plays against Fulham this week on 12/26. ABC has plenty in store for you under the tree this holiday season. Videos, comprehensive hinrunde reviews, Bundesliga reviews, and a preview of what's to come for a very special event happening this summer over in Cincinnati if you care to wager a guess. Welcome to the Always Bayern Chelsea program. In this addition of the show we breakdown the weekend matches. In the Bundesliga Bayern Munich lost to Mainz 1-2 and in the English Premiere League Chelsea beat Brentford 2-1. We start things off by looking at Bayern Munich's lackluster 1-2 defeat on the road to Mainz 05. Mainz came with a better energy and a great pressing plan. We look at all the tactics, lineups, match highlights, lowlights, and individual player performances. Leroy Sane scored the lone goal for Bayern. It was tough to consider match awards for this one as everyone looked groggy & there were no standout performances, we were just able to highlight a couple individuals for this one. Vincent Kompany and Bayern looks now to get healthy and to close the hinrunde strong against top team RB Leipzig. Chelsea had a more pleasant day at the office beating Brentford 2-1 in the EPL. We review this match including lineups, coaching tactics, individual player performances, and match highlights. Marc Cucurella and Nicolas Jackson scored for the blue with Noni Madueke and Enzo Fernandez bagging assists. This one was also difficult to include match awards for as everyone on Chelsea did their job to secure these three points and there weren't any standout performances. Once again we highlight some key players. Enzo Maresca's system is humming as Chelsea finds themselves closing in on Liverpool and sitting firmly at second place in the table. Next up is Shamrock Rovers in the conference league and Everton in the EPL. Stay tuned. Subscribe to the YouTube channel for more! Thanks for listening.
