Some influential sub choices were made as Noni Madueke scored a brace, along with Tyrique George getting a goal and Jadon Sancho providing two assists. Chelsea returns to Stamford Bridge for the second leg of this Conference League tie on Thursday 4/17. It may be Conference League or bust for Chelsea this season. Later in the episode we also hit on Chelsea's 2-2 draw against Ipswich town after going down 0-2 to start the match. Jadon Sancho was the hero with a goal assisted by goal Palmer after an own goal by Ipswich. We discuss lineups, tactics, player performances, match highlights, and the state of the team at the moment, as well as Chelsea's future this season. Is Enzo to blame for their struggles? Which players are at fault? Chelsea now has an Easter matchup with Fulham on 4/20 in the EPL. It wasn't total frustration though, we review Vincent Kompany's lineup/tactics, as well as player performances, match highlights, and match awards. Bayern Munich has a lot on their plates heading to Italy to face off with Inter Milan in a do or die Champions League Quarterfinal. We preview that match and what needs to happen to secure a comeback win as the Bavarians head in down 1-2. We also talk Bundesliga where Bayern remains 6 points ahead of Bayer Leverkusen in the table with 5 match days remaining. We're hoping Bayern doesn't join the list of choking teams we support as they head to Heidenheim on 4/19. Subscribe to the YouTube channel to stay updated! Thanks for listening/watching. And be sure to head over to the Always Bayern Chelsea YouTube channel to subscribe over there. Join this blossoming community, be here for the subscriber giveaways and for all of the incoming coverage as the season heats up We kick things off by breaking down the crazy 125th anniversary stinker that Bayern Munich put up losing to VfL Bochum 2-3 in a rollercoaster Bundesliga match that had a little bit of everything. We review Vincent Kompany's lineup, tactics, player performances, and all of the match highlights. The starting XI entirely consisted of Bayern's bench players as Kompany finally embraced rotation in order to rest the starters for the upcoming knock out Champions League matches. Bayer started the match great with a pair of goals from Raphael Guerreiro, assisted by Serge Gnabry and Thomas Muller. However, things took a turn for the worst with a missed penalty by Serge Gnabry and a red card from Joao Palhinha taking Bayern down to 10 men. Bochum then scored three unanswered goals and won the match. We attempt to hand out empty match awards before previewing the second leg of Bayern Munich's round of 16 UCL tie with Bayer Leverkusen. We offer up predictions for the big match and close out this Bayern section by providing a quick update on the Joshua Kimmich contract situation. Finally some good news as we break down Chelsea's 1-0 win over Leicester City in the English Premiere League. We discuss Enzo Maresca's lineup, coaching tactics, the match highlights, and individual player performances. The lone goal of the match was scored by Marc Cucurella and was assisted by Enzo Fernandez. After looking at Chelsea's style of play as of late, we dive deeper into Chelsea's future and upcoming matches to preview what's in store and offer some predictions. Chelsea now sits at 4th place in the EPL table with the return leg against Copenhagen in the UEFA conference league coming up as well as Arsenal on the EPL on the horizon.

Hello, fellow soccer enthusiasts! Welcome back to The Portugal Corner, where we serve up a smorgasbord of Portuguese soccer – from the dazzling to the eyebrow-raising, and of course, the downright hilarious! In our latest episode, we've got more plot twists than a telenovela. Estoril's French CDM, Koba Koindredi, decides to spice things up by making a samba move to Sporting CP. Meanwhile, Raphael Guerreiro might go to Al Hilal with JJ, leaving us wondering if JJ has a secret career as a soccer matchmaker. Hold on to your hats, folks! In a surprising twist, Goncalo Borges decides to pull a U-turn and stay at FC Porto. Apparently, Sergio gave him a heartfelt speech involving tears, hugs, and maybe a few bribes with pastéis de nata. Sporting CP turns Tondela into a playground with a 4-0 romp, featuring Pote's goal-scoring extravaganza. Porto finally cracks the Estoril code, thanks to Evanilson's hat-trick and Galeno's magic on the field – with Pepe showcasing some unexpected playmaking skills. Who knew? Benfica narrowly dodges the Braga bullet, securing a 3-2 win that plays out like a suspenseful thriller. Joao Moutinho hits the grand 1000 games milestone, probably earning him the title of "The Duracell Bunny of Portuguese Soccer." The Algarve Derby delivers drama as Portimonense snags a 1-0 victory over Farense, claiming bragging rights in the south. Nakamura in goal steals the spotlight – someone give that man a cape! Casa Pia and Famalicao go head-to-head, with Chiquinho's cheeky goal setting the stage for a 2-0 victory. Sporting CP battles Chaves in a rain-soaked adventure, featuring Steven Vitoria's spirited defense and lions scoring goals that sound like a musical crescendo. In a nail-biting match, Benfica triumphs over Rio Ave with a 4-1 scoreline – cue the dramatic music. Porto flexes its muscles against Braga, securing a 2-0 win with Cardoso and Evanilson leading the charge. Sergio finally unleashes a three-headed attacking monster, proving he's not just a master tactician but also a secret Pokémon trainer. Guimaraes takes down Arouca 2-1 in the Mullet Derby, where Ricardo Mangas and Matias Rocha showcase their sick flow. Jason opens the scoring for Arouca, but the Silva's (no relation to the Matrix) steal the show. On the international front, we venture into the Africa Cup of Nations, the Asia Cup, and dissect Mo Salah's new haircut – because who doesn't love a good hairstyle discussion? Liverpool copes with lost players, and we take a deep dive into Diogo Jota's role at the club, examining his rating on Fotmob. Is he only a super sub, or does he have a secret superhero alter ego? In Italy, Mourinho's Lazio faces Coppa Italia heartbreak, and AC Milan triumphs over Roma in a 3-1 showdown. The Super Copa de Espana serves up an El Clasico spectacle in Saudi Arabia, with Vini hitting a hattrick – Ronaldo, of course, making a VIP appearance in the stands. Even without a current sporting director in the wake of Hasan Salihamidzic getting fired alongside Oliver Kahn, Bayern Munich has already made two summer signings in Konrad Laimer from RB Leipzig and Raphael Guerreiro from Borussia Dortmund. The latter was essentially completed during the winter time, but it's now official and Thomas Tuchel still wants to bring in Kim Min-jae from SSC Napoli since Lucas Hernandez will be leaving for Paris Saint-Germain as well as a top-class striker. Plenty of names have been linked with Bayern as far as who their new striker could be including Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen, Randal Kolo Muani and Duscan Vlahovic, but the clock is ticking for Tuchel and Bayern. It will be a tough season if they once again don't have a clear-cut, number 9 striker, and from the offset, Tuchel has identified this as a point of emphasis for this summer's transfer window. By stark contrast, given the fact that Declan Rice has chosen to stay in the Premier League by virtue of joining either Arsenal or Manchester City, Tuchel is no longer prioritizing the signature of a number 6, defensive midfielder. There's also been reports that Bayern is set to re-hire former goalkeeping coach Toni Tapalovic, who was fired by Julian Nagelsmann, Kahn, Brazzo and the rest of Bayern's board just days after Yann Sommer had begun training with the club after joining from Borussia Monchengladbach. His return won't spell good news for Alexander Nubel, who's previously vented his frustration for what he referred to as favoritism from Tapalovic towards Manuel Neuer in training sessions. In this flagship episode of Bavarian Podcast Works, Tom and Rayyan (known on the site as CCyler) discuss: The two signings; Laimer & Guerreiro Can Laimer play as a number 6, or is that not his strong suit? Where Guerreiro will best fit in the squad, tactically speaking Kim Min-jae's expected arrival from SSC Napoli to replace Lucas Hernandez Will Tuchel start to use a back three system more often? If history is anything to go by, Bayern Munich is without a doubt, the biggest club in Germany. Perhaps this is why they have so much pull when it comes to signing players. We all know that Bayern has the funds, and the demand to essentially, bring on anyone who they please, but many clubs are now getting frustrated with the Bavarian giants, as they have now been accused of ‘poaching' the hottest talent in the league. For years, Bayern dismantled Borrusia Dortmund's team, by signing players such as Mats Hummels, Robert Lewandowski, and Mario Gotze. They even went as far as signing Serge Gantry from Hoffenheim. But the latest player to join Bayern is one Konrad Laimer from RB Leipzig. Laimer becomes the second player to leave ‘Die Roten Bullen,' after Joshua Kimmich made the move back in 2015. Many are calling this poaching, but the Bayer faithful will tell you that it is good business. Bayern do not like to feel threatened and considering how close Leipzig finished to them in the league table, perhaps this will go down as just good business. Recent reports even suggest that Bayern went after Borrusia Dortmund's very own Raphael Guerreiro, which if it is true, proves that Bayern will continue to poach as they see fit. In what is perhaps the biggest signing of the transfer window so far, and perhaps the most anticipated; is Jude Bellingham leaving Borrusia Dortmund for Real Madrid. The 19 year has put pen to paper with ‘Los Blancos' which will see him earn around €10 million per year. Dortmund sold the 2022/23 Bundesliga player of the season for a staggering €103 million, but this could increase to €134 million with the agreed terms for the add-ons. One can argue that these numbers are getting out of control, but unfortunately, it is what it is and this is what the market is demanding. This transfer does prove one thing; Dortmund are experts in nurturing young talent into world-class stars - with the likes of Erling Haaland too.  On the latest episode of the Bundesliga connection, DW Sports correspondent Kres Harrington breaks down the latest transfer news coming out of German. Jude Bellingham makes his move to Real Madrid, Naby Keita returns to the Bundesliga and Bayern Munich is accused of ‘poaching' the best talent in the Bundesliga!

Thank you for your interest in the BvB London fan community podcast as every week the focus of the show will be on exploring a facet of Borussia Dortmund's life by talking to experts and former participants of the club's life. People like players, fans and journalists who have covered the club and decision-makers and experts who know the world of all our club well. The aim of the podcast is to make this wonderful football club more accessible to non-German speakers. The podcast may also be of interest to German football fans who want to learn or practice English. It's all change at the Westfalenstadion and with the unrest amongst players and fans alike at the recent string of poor results and only 1 win in the last 6 league games and disappointing draws against both Mainz and Hoffenheim teams which BVB would normally expect 6 points from these home fixtures the head has been on interim coach Edin Terzic.  With key injuries most importantly Axel Witsel in midfield and a defence which has conceded 31 goals already by matchday 21 is looking decidedly critical even accounting for the absence of first-choice keeper Roman Bürki and Dan and centre back Axel Zagadou. Second choice keeper Marvin Hitz has looked poor under pressure and an impressive Thomas Delaney has not been helped by Emre Can having to play in defence and Mo Dahoud being in such poor form.  The club is also going through financial concerns with debts of €70m and players still on reduced wages there have been no winter signings, only U17 international striker Julian Rijkhoff coming in from Ajax Amsterdam to join the academy. Still playing behind closed doors Borussia is missing the crucial 12th man and looking the worse for it now 16 points behind Bayern and of more concern, 6 points from 4th placed VFL Wolfsburg. The agreement with Borussia Mönchengladbach coach for a three-year contract could not have come at a better time but who is Marco Rose and what is at stake this season and for the Leipzig born incumbent coach?   On today's show, our guests are Sascha Staat a German football journalist who works for Ruhrnachrichten Dortmund's main newspaper as well as Eurosport and DAZN TV channels.  1. Current season BVB lie in sixth place in the table and are far off the mark in terms of a champions league place. The defence is far from stable and players like Marco Reus are not in the form to provide leadership. Why the instability?  2. The Roman Bürki enigma, have the weaknesses returned or are the goals being conceded a result of the instability crucially at right and left-back in defence. 3, The pressure is on Mats Hummels but is the pressure beginning to take away his enthusiasm? What should be the ideal line-up at Centre-back? Where should the constant Raphael Guerreiro be playing and which of the current defenders should be on Rose's for sale list this summer?  4. What are issues in midfield without Axel Witsel? Can Borussia rely on Thomas Delaney? Where should Can be playing? Pundit and former international Lothar Matthäus says a player like Matthias Sammer is missing but which players could fill that gap from the current squad? 5. Marco Reus has had uncharacteristic poor form and failed to lead the team in several matches, but is there too much reliance on 17-year-old Jude Bellingham who has had to hit the ground running. Giovanni Reyna has been a revelation but is now rumoured to be on the selling list, he has looked physically less than assertive but would that be a good move. 6. Enter Youssoufa Moukoko could he replace the incredible Erling Haaland, a striker who has scored more times than games played in since joining 1 year ago. Could BVB manage without Haaland and what else is in reserve?   7. What can be expected from Marco Rose in terms of tactical changes, what has been learnt from his style of coaching at RB Salzburg and Borus
