"O principal que ten que saber a xente é que somos un país rico en topónimos... E non podemos permitir desde o punto de vista cultural que se sigan perdendo". "O marabilloso deste traballo é que é un proxecto interxeracional e de intergración, sobre todo por que se valora a sabiduria dos noso maiores". Por tanto, A Estrada ten practicamente todos os nomes das súas leiras, montes, regueiros, camiños, penedos... sen rexistrar e todos eles corren un gran risco de perderse. O principal obxectivo da charla será, xa que logo, sumar o maior número posible de colaboradores que comecen a rexistrar a microtoponimia estrandense. O funcionamento da plataforma Galicia Nomeada será un dos principais temas que se abordará nesta charla co fin de facilitarlles a colaboración ás persoas que decidan sumarse ao proxecto para recoller os microtopónimos das súas aldeas e parroquias. Daquela, Vicente Feijoo ensinaralles aos asistentes as funcións básicas da aplicación: como darse de alta, como engadir novos topónimos; como anexar imaxes ou arquivos de audio na ficha dun topónimo; como facer suxestións sobre nomes mal rexistrados ou mal situados etc. Outras das seccións que ocupara boa parte da charla Toponimízate da Estrada será a dedicada a descubrir as curiosidades sobre a súa toponimia, isto é, a orixe e significado dos nomes da súas parroquias (50) e aldeas (517). Aínda que, a diferenza doutros concellos aos que chega a campaña, non vai ser unha novidade porque xa están publicadas dúas obras fundamentais que tratan sobre a etimoloxías destes topónimos maiores: Toponimia da Estrada, de Fernando Cabeza Quiles, publicado pola Real Academia Galega; e Os nomes da Estrada, de Clara Iglesias Cortizo. As always Chelsea did A LOT of business. Key incomings for Enzo Maresca included. Jamie Gittens, Alejandro Garnacho, Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, Estevao, Buonanotte, Dario Essugo, Andrey Santos, Jorrel Hato, Paez, Penders, and Sarr. Outgoings were Nico Jackson, Broja, Felix, Madueke, Christo, Ugochukwu, Mathis Amougou. Carney, KDH, Matos, Chilwell, Gilchrist, Humphreys, Veiga, Beach, Bergstrom, Bettinelli, Kepa, and Petrovic while players loaned out including partner club Strasburg were Paez, Penders, Sarr, Anselmino, Castledine, Kellyman, Samuels-Smith, Wiley, and Nicolas Jackson to Bayern Munich of course. Chelsea netted about 5 million euros in profit this window. Pretty impressive business. Bayern Munich's transfer window was less desirable. The club notably struck out on their main transfer target dating back many years Florian Wirtz, other key misses were Nico Williams, Bradley Barcola, and sadly many more. The lack of alignment between the supervisory board, sporting board, and even coaching staff made this a difficult window for Vincent Kompany and the Bavarians. Luckily there were some key incomings including Diaz, Tah, and Bischof. With Nicolas Jackson joining on loan from Chelsea. Sadly Bayern Munich lost key players who are already missed by the club, some of which left on a free transfer including Sane, Dier, and Thomas Muller. Other outgoings were Tel, Coman, Wanner, Aznou, Kratzig, and Vidovic. Players that left on loan were Palhinha, Kusi-Asare, Zaragoza, Peretz, Ibrahimovic, Zvonarek, and Buchmann. It's yet to be seen if this window will improve the squad for the long run but Bayern did net roughly 10 millions euros in addition to massive savings in the wage depart. À jornalista Lívia Veiga, ele fala sobre regulação das redes sociais, pacto federativo e efeitos do tarifaço do presidente dos Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, para Sorocaba, cidade cuja população é estimada em 750 mil habitantes.Conhecido como “prefeito tiktoker" — seus seguidores nas redes sociais ultrapassam os 6 milhões —, Manga defende o uso de uma linguagem "mais leve" para atingir a população e se opõe à regulação das redes. "Sou contrário. Acho que tem que ter punição a quem comete crime. Agora, você regulamentar uma rede que dá oportunidade de voz para a população, sou totalmente contrário", ressalta.Reeleito no primeiro turno, em 2024, com 74% dos votos válidos, Manga destaca a necessidade de se revisar o pacto federativo, para que as cidades e os municípios tenham mais autonomia na destinação de recursos."Imagine que, de tudo o que se arrecada nos municípios por todo o Brasil, 15% ficam com a cidade, 60%, com o governo federal, e 25% vão para o governo estadual. Então, eu tenho trabalhado muito para que a gente venha a equalizar isso, para que os municípios possam cuidar melhor da população", afirma.Na entrevista, o prefeito também salienta o impacto para Sorocaba das tarifas impostas pelo governo americano a produtos brasileiros. De tudo o que é exportado pelos empresários locais, 40% vão para os EUA, segundo Manga. Os setores mais afetados são o de café e alumínio."Estamos dando isenção de todos os impostos municipais para as indústrias que exportam para os EUA e foram impactadas. A condição é que essas empresas mantenham os empregos das pessoas que moram em Sorocaba", explica, ressaltando que o governo federal precisa insistir em uma aproximação com Donald Trump. A escritora cabo-verdiana Maria José Veiga lançou no mês de Julho, na cidade de Assomada, interior da ilha de Santiago, a sua mais recente obra literária, intitulada “Fidju de Rezistênsia”. O livro é uma ode à força feminina, à resistência quotidiana e presta homenagem à mãe da autora, símbolo maior de luta e resiliência. Em entrevista à RFI, a escritora cabo-verdiana Maria José Veiga explicou que título “Fidju de Rezistênsia” tem um significado profundamente pessoal: “simboliza a resistência da minha mãe, que criou cinco filhos sozinha, cinco filhos órfãos. Eu fiquei órfã [de pai] aos cinco anos de idade e o meu irmão tinha três meses quando o nosso pai faleceu.” A autora acrescenta ainda que esta “rezistênsia” também se reflecte nos seus percursos de vida que, apesar da pobreza extrema, alcançaram uma vida digna, com formação e trabalho. “Nós, como os cinco filhos, como filhos da resistência”. Grande parte do livro, cerca de 80%, está escrita em crioulo cabo-verdiano, recorrendo ao Alfabeto Unificado para a Escrita do Cabo-verdiano, o ALUPEC. Trata-se de uma escolha profundamente simbólica. “O crioulo é o símbolo da minha própria resistência. É o símbolo da força”, sublinha Maria José Veiga. Com esta opção, a escritora procura também resgatar palavras em desuso, provérbios e expressões tradicionais, especialmente do crioulo de Santiago, actualmente muito influenciado pela língua portuguesa. O livro aborda uma multiplicidade de temáticas, que vão desde a figura materna, a mulher, as raízes, a emigração, a toxicodependência ao desamor entre os jovens. “Todas estas temáticas fazem parte da história de Cabo Verde”, refere a autora, que acrescenta que através dos poemas e das crónicas, muitas narradas na primeira pessoa, dá voz aos problemas sociais como o alcoolismo, assédio sexual no trabalho, secas e fomes. “Consegui transformar isto em poemas e crónicas que dão uma memória colectiva do próprio país”, remata. Lançado num ano em que se assinalam os 50 anos da independência de Cabo Verde, “Fidju de Rezistênsia” reflecte também sobre o papel da mulher na sociedade cabo-verdiana, sobre os avanços e os desafios que persistem na luta pela igualdade de género. Maria José Veiga reconhece os progressos feitos, mas alerta que “há muito para fazer”, sobretudo no que diz respeito ao acesso das mulheres a espaços de liderança e à concretização efectiva da equidade.

He graduated in Civil Engineering at the Technical University of Lisbon and he holds a PhD degree from the same university. His main professional interests are related to Environment and Natural Resources Policies and Management, with a special emphasis on Water Resources.He worked in Portugal until 1983 in teaching, research and consulting activities. During this period he was involved in numerous research projects and undertook consulting and teaching work in Portugal and in several foreign countries.Between 1971 and 1983 he was Director of the Division of Hydrology and River Hydraulics of the National Laboratory of Civil Engineering, LNEC in Lisbon, where he initiated the development of several new lines of research in the areas of water resources management and planning and of sustainable use of water resources. He was Visiting Professor at Colorado State University (Fort Collins, Colorado) for the full academic year 1975-1976.Between 1983 and 1999 Veiga da Cunha lived in Brussels where he served as Administrator of the Scientific and Environmental Affairs Division of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. This Division was the executive arm for the programmes initiated by two Committees of the NATO Council: the Science Committee and the Committee on the Challenges of the Modern Society. The programmes of these two committees were originally intended to foster scientific, technological and environmental cooperation between the North American and the European NATO countries. Later, after the disintegration of the Soviet Union, they mainly focused on cooperation between NATO countries and the so-called partner countries in Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. Among his responsibilities while serving at NATO, he launched and directed various programs in the area of the environment, in particular the Special Programs on “Environmental Security” and “The Science of Global Environmental Change”. Each of these areas developed into a large number of projects and about 60 books have been published based on the results.In 1999 Veiga da Cunha returned to Portugal, as a full Professor at the Nova University of Lisbon. He also became a member of the National Council on Environment and Sustainable Development since 2001 and of the National Water Council since its creation in 1994. From 2001 to 2005 he has served as the Portuguese national delegate to the NATO Science Committee.He was a member of the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) of the United Nations (1999-2001) and a Lead Author of the chapter on Water Resources of the Third Assessment Report of the IPCC, published in 2001. José Eli da Veiga, professor sênior do Instituto de Estudos Avançados da USP, recorre a essa dupla negativa para sintetizar sua análise em "O Antropoceno e o Pensamento Econômico", terceiro volume de sua trilogia sobre as ciências e as humanidades em um período de crise climática e transformação acelerada do planeta pela sociedade. No livro, o intelectual revisita escolas e pensadores à margem do mainstream da economia para sustentar que a disciplina não acompanhou o avanço da fronteira do conhecimento e ainda passa ao largo, por exemplo, da teoria da evolução e da física moderna. Em razão disso, Veiga argumenta, o pensamento econômico ignora os fluxos de energia e matéria envolvidos no processo de produção, o que faz com que economistas concebam um crescimento eterno e não se preocupem com as condições de vida das gerações futuras. Neste episódio, o pesquisador fala sobre as ideias de crescer decrescendo e decrescer crescendo, um caminho do meio entre manter o modelo atual e as propostas de decrescimento da economia. Veiga também discute o impasse em fóruns multilaterais dedicados à crise ambiental, como as COPs. Para ele, negociações entre as corporações e os governos responsáveis pela maior parte das emissões de gases do efeito estufa teriam mais resultado que encontros anuais com a participação de mais de uma centena de países.
