Welcome back to the Always Bayern Chelsea show for an emotionally charged VIDEO episode. Recorded shortly after Bayern Munich's elimination from the Champions League, Danny takes to the mic with his break down and reaction. Subscribe to the Always Bayern Chelsea YouTube channel to check out all of our video episodes and stay up to date with the latest coverage of everything Bayern Munich and Chelsea football club. This one stings. Bayern Munich traveled to Milan and put up a valiant effort at San Siro, only to come up short with a 2-2 draw. This means that they have been defeated 4-3 on aggregate over two legs to Inter Milan and will not be advancing to the UCL semifinals against Hansi Flick's Barcelona. Their dreams of UCL glory at home in the Allianz Arena for Thomas Muller's final season with the club have been shattered. Danny does a deep dive into the match and tries to figure out where things went wrong. He looks at the events leading up to the match, key injuries, Muller not starting last week, missed chances, foolish concessions, and overall fatigue. He breaks down Vincent Kompany's starting lineup, tactics, all of the match highlights, individual player performances, and hands out match awards. Danny tries to process all of the raw emotions from the match. Harry Kane scored the opening goal of the match assisted by Leon Goretzka and Eric Dier scored Bayern's final goal, assisted by Serge Gnabry. Danny passionately defends Harry Kane from the hate he wrongly receives even after showing up big once again in the UCL knockout match for Bayern Munich. He even talks about expectations and how head coach Vincent Kompany is handling the season so far as a whole. There's still a Bundesliga title to be won and Bayern Munich is already back in action on Saturday against Heidenheim. Stay tuned for full match coverage and more.

Nagelsmanns Entscheidungen waren strategisch wichtig.Die Spieler müssen sich als Einheit finden.Vereinstreue und Identifikation sind im Profifußball wichtig. Germany beats Italy away for the first time in four decades with a Leon Goretzka reborn. In the Bundesliga, the surprise team battle between Mainz and Freiburg ends all tied up and leaves the former in third position. Frankfurt fans flirt with disaster in Bochum, but Eintracht defends the last qualifying spot for now. But Freiburg isn't done yet and can fully focus on finishing the league strong, while Eintracht still has tough games, including Tottenham in the Europa League, on its schedule. Behind them, Mönchengladbach is making a push, and they could overtake Leipzig in a key matchup on the next matchday. Time to double down on why only one Borussia has got the naming convention right!

He does a deep dive into how many of the players performed and how they've been performing lately. He addresses what needs to change from Vincent Kompany and from the players going forward. Danny finally attempts to hand out match awards for this lackluster showing.

Jimbo's got his European gang alongside him as James Horncastle, Seb Stafford-Bloor and Julien Laurens look back on the latest action across the continent - and look ahead to matchday seven in the Champions League. We begin with a look ahead to some of those key UCL ties, including Wednesday night's heavyweight 25th v 22nd battle between PSG and Manchester City. Plus, Liverpool look to make it seven wins from seven when they host high-flying Lille and Villa make the trip to Monaco. There was late drama in Serie A as Romelu Lukaku scored the winner in a 3-2 victory in Bergamo to further derail Atalanta's hopes of a first Scudetto. It means Antonio Conte's side are three points clear at the top of the table, but have played a game more than chasers Inter Milan who picked up their own 3-1 win over Empoli to keep up the pressure. Over in La Liga, promoted Leganes pulled off yet another shock as they ended Atlético Madrid's club-record 15-game winning run. It's a result that handed the advantage over to Real - with Mbappé and co fighting back from conceding after just 28 seconds to beat Las Palmas 4-1.In Germany, Bayern Munich's lead at the top stays at four points after forgotten man Leon Goretzka bagged a brace in their 3-2 win over Wolfsburg. Chasers Leverkusen made it 11 wins in a row, with lateness no problem this week for Florian Wirtz who got an assist and brace of his own in their victory over Monchengladbach - an 11th win in a row in all competitions for the reigning champions. Plus, could a certain former Manchester United manager be parachuted in to save Dortmund as their season continues to implode? And in France, you guessed it… PSG's unbeaten run continues - this time coming from behind to beat Lens 2-1 and extend their lead at the top of the table to nine points. That's after closest challengers Marseille were held to a 1-1 draw by Strasbourg. The Alphonso Davies contract situation has been a wild story to follow. Where do things stand? Has Bayern Munich gone too far with its salary package to secure the deal? Jamal Musiala has — allegedly — gotten the release clause that he wants. Is that a bad precedent to set? Will Musiala have the allure of Leo Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo to other players? How important is it to keep Joshua Kimmich? Is he doing his due diligence or running Bayern Munich through the ringer because he is a maniac? Bayern Munich faced off with a game and very tough Wolfsburg side in a Bundesliga match that showed us a lot about both teams. Bayern Munich ultimately won a tense 3-2 match behind a spectacular effort from Leon Goretzka (!?), but the match also did leave a lot to discuss. Let's talk about how it all went down and more on the Bavarian Podcast Works — Postgame Show. This is what we have on tap: A look at the starting XI and what was surprising — really surprising. A rundown of the scoring and substitutions. Bayern Munich came out on a mission and just overwhelmed a good Wolfsburg side. The Wolves, however, are for real. Leon Goretzka might be going on a Jay and Silent Bob-like crusade against internet commenters. Some final thoughts and takeaways on the match.
