Danny breaks down Vincent Kompany's lineup, tactics, match highlights, player performances, and yes eventually match awards. The match itself wasn't exactly a blockbuster showing but we saw Harry Kane and Michael Olise score some sweet goals provided by Michael Olise and Leroy Sane assists. Welcome to the Always Bayern Chelsea show. ONE MORE WIN is all it will take for Bayern Munich to win the Bundesliga this season after beating Mainz 05 by a convincing score of 3-0. Chelsea also beat Everton 1-0 in an important English Premiere League match. Subscribe to the Always Bayern Chelsea YouTube channel to join the community and stay tuned with how the season shapes up. We kick this episode off by discussing Chelsea's big time EPL 1-0 win over Everton. It wasn't the most interesting match but a win is a win at this crucial point in the season. We break down Enzo Maresca's prematch comments, his lineup/tactics, match highlights, and player performances. Nicolas Jackson scored the lone goal of the match and was assisted by Enzo Fernandez. Chelsea was setup a bit differently in this match and we talk about what they should look like going forward for the remainder of the season. We break down Chelsea's remaining EPL and Conference League matches and what we're looking for out of them. Next up is Bayern Munich beating Mainz 05 in the Bundesliga 3-0. It was an overall great performance from the Bavarians but a win for Bayer Leverkusen over FC Augsburg means that the league will not be decided today. Bayern Munich needs one more win in their remaining three matches to clinch the league title. This could happen as early as next week away at RB Leipzig. We take a look at today's match by talking about both teams under Bo Henriksen and Vincent Kompany so far this season, lineups, tactics, match highlights, and player performances. Leroy Sane, Michael Olise, and Eric Dier scored for Bayern Munich with Olise and Konrad Laimer picking up assists. The dark stain on an otherwise great day was a wrongly award yellow card to Harry Kane. This being Kane's 5th yellow card of the season (and no reset rule like other leagues have) means that Kane will miss next weeks potentially title clinching matchup with a suspension. We talk about how special Jonas Urbig has been so far filling in for an injured Manuel Neuer with another clean sheet and we talk in more detail how players like Dier, Laimer, and Olise have really stepped up in key moments this season. Finally, this match was special was it saw the league debut for Jonah Kusi-Asare as well as Thomas Muller's 500th Bundesliga appearance. Bayern's win today means that they remain 6 points clear of Bayer Leverkusen in the table with only 7 league matches remaining. Harry Kane put the team on his back and opened up the match scoring a goal as well as providing an assist. Michael Olise had two assists and Leroy Sane scored two goals. Danny forgot to hand out match awards in the episode but he'd hand the Man of the Match award to the duo of Harry Kane and Leroy Sane, the Robin Award to Michael Olise, the Underrated Award to Jamal Musiala, and while no one stepped up massively on the defensive side Jonas Urbig had a few nice saves to earn the Defender of Match. Danny tries to piece together how Bayern Munich will go forward with numerous massive injuries. Manuel Neuer, Dayot Upamecano, Alphonso Davies, Kingsley Coman, Alexander Pavlovic, and now Hiroki Ito. Manuel Neuer was zo iemand. Elf landstitels, twee Champions League-zeges, wereldkampioen in 2014.

Welcome in for another edition of the Morning Espresso from the SDH Network, brought to you by Oglethorpe University, Atlanta's premier undergraduate learning experience and soccer powerhouse. Some Champions League nuggets after the first legs of the Round of 16. Arsenal and Bayern can start looking ahead, although Manuel Neuer won't be part of the second leg after injuring himself celebrating the third goal in Bayern's win over Leverkusen... smh. Road wins by multiple goals for Inter and Aston Villa also set them up for success in the return legs. Late drama for Liverpool and an incredible day from Alisson give them a 1-0 at PSG, Barcelona played with 10 men for a long time but found a way to win 1-0 at Benfica. The return legs of those will be fascinating. Atleti returns home to host their cross-town rivals trailing 2-1 setting up a must-watch second leg. Also, can Lille shock everyone and knock out the runners-up from last year Dortmund? In the Concacaf Champions Cup, there will be drama in the second legs as well next week. One more game to go as Miami hosts Cavalier tonight. LAFC and Pumas are probably good with multiple goal advantages going on the road in the second legs. Chivas beat Club America 1-0 thanks to a late own goal, but now have to go to Mexico City next week to try to hold it. Herediano has to also try to hold a 1-0 lead in Los Angeles against the struggling Galaxy next week. Disappointment for MLS sides as Seattle, Vancouver, and Cincinnati were only able to manage home draws and now need epic results in Mexico in the second legs next week. Go check out the tux worn by Segundo Castillo, manager of Barcelona SC of Ecuador. Look good, play good, or manage good in this case. His side won 3-0 at home over Corinthians of Brazil in a Copa Libertadores preliminary round match. Lots of FIFA updates in this edition, watch the video below for all of them. The biggest in my opinion is that the structure set for bids for the Women's World Cup all but guarantee that the U.S. will host in 2031 and Great Britain will host in 2035. Huge opportunities to grow that tournament after Brazil hosts in 2027 and I think Atlanta could play a massive role in that 2031 event if/when the U.S. is announced as the host.

Welcome to the 69th episode of the Always Bayern Chelsea show. This one here is another video episode that you can check out on YouTube to see our epic faces. We kick this one off with an introduction give you an update on how we're handling the snowy Wisconsin winter as well as detail how you can get in on our 100 Subscriber giveaway! Subscribing is the first step! Chelsea was in action this weekend in the English Premiere League and turned in an upsetting performance losing 0-3 against Brighton. We kick this one off with a match breakdown including tactics, match highlights, and player performances. We hit on all the key moments in the match but there isn't much to discuss on the Chelsea side in terms of action. Instead, we spend more time talking about what Enzo Maresca needs to do in order to course correct because he was outclassed in this match. We look at Chelsea's squad building, ownership, and certain players as well in order to figure out how they can fix this season before things go completely off the rails. We breakdown if they can finish in top 4/5 and earn a Champions League spot before it's too late. They play Aston Villa next in the EPL. Bayern Munich faced off against the reigning Bundesliga champions and current 2nd place team in the table Bayer Leverkusen. The result was a 0-0 draw. We breakdown Vincent Kompany's lineup, coaching tactics, as well as match highlights, and player performances. For the first time all season we saw Bayern focus almost all of their effort on defending. Unlike usual Bayern Munich did not control possession, registered only two shots and zero shots on target, and it felt like they escaped lucky to draw. Even though Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen dominated Bayern through and through, the Bavarians put up an excellent defense showing. Dayot Upamecano looked like the best player on the pitch, the whole backline was stellar, and Manuel Neuer saved the day with some clutch saves. We discuss what this means for Bayern's season going forward in the Bundesliga and in the Champions League. We will have full coverage of the return leg at the Allianz Arena midweek vs. Celtic in the UCL Round of 16 play-in. AND Bayern faces off against Frankfurt in the Bundesliga next weekend! We have a busy episode ahead of us with Bayern Munich in action in the Bundesliga, Chelsea in action in the English Premiere, and all the news and updates with the January transfer window closing. We kick things off with Bayern Munich's 4-3 victory in the Bundesliga over Holstein Kiel. This match seemed like a step in the right direction for the bavarians until they almost let it slip out of their hands with more defensive lapses. We go over Vincent Kompany's lineup, tactics, all the match highlights, individual player performances, and hand out match awards. Harry Kane lead the way with a brace, Jamal Musiala and Serge Gnabry also notched goals. Michael Olise, Kingsley Coman, and Raphael Guerriero provided the assists. While Bayern's attack got back on track, the defensive line still lacked concentration for a full 90 minutes. Bayern Munich now plays Werder Bremen next weekend in the Bundesliga before two legs with Celtic in the Champions League and Leverkusen back in the Bundesliga. We close out the Bayern portion of the show by talking about all of the transfer news as the winter window closes including the Mathys Tel saga, Adam Aznou, Jonas Urbing, and Manuel Neuer extending his contract for another year with Bayern Munich. Next we move over to Chelsea as they got back to winning ways beating West Ham 2-1 in the English Premiere League. We run down Enzo Maresca's lineup and coaching tactics, all the match highlights, individual player performances, and hand out match awards. Pedro Neto scored first for Chelsea before Cole Palmer had his hand in creating an own goal to seal the victory. Chelsea hope to keep rolling against Brighton in the FA cup next weekend and then back in the EPL. Finally, we break down all the outgoing and incoming transfers for Chelsea this window.
