Welcome to the BUNDESLIGA SEASON FINALE Episode of the Always Bayern Chelsea show! Yep, it's already match-day 34 in Germany and Bayern Munich put up a dominant showing winning 4-0 over Hoffenheim despite taking a couple days to vacation in Ibiza. Thomas Muller received an emotional sendoff for his final Bundesliga match. Vincent Kompany's first season was a domestic success, finishing up with 82 points, 13 points ahead of Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen. Subscribe to the Always Bayern Chelsea YouTube channel for the incoming full season breakdown, Jim's Chelsea updates, and to join the community of football fans! Danny kicks this episode off by breaking down Bayern Munich's 4-0 win over Hoffenheim in full. He provides details on Vincent Kompany's lineup, tactics, player performances, match highlights, and even match awards (sort of). The match started off slow with Hoffenheim clearly just trying not to get blown out. Michael Olise opened up the floodgates by scoring a sublime free kick. He then assisted Joshua Kimmich to double the Bavarians lead. Harry Kane came on in the 60th minute to score and assist Serge Gnabry's goal. Sacha Boey assisted for Kane's. We saw Thomas Muller exit a Bundesliga match for the final time with a standing ovation from both the home and away fans. Finally, Danny spends some more time reminiscing on the Bundesliga season as a whole, it wasn't perfect, but it was overall very good. Vincent Kompany and co. did what they set out to do this year and bring the Meisterschale back to Munich. We spend some time looking at what's next with the Club World Cup next month. Then, we talk about some upcoming transfer news and contract discussions regarding Florian Wirtz, Jonathan Tah, and Leroy Sane. Finally, we talk some more about the storied career of Thomas Muller.
Bayern Munich just saw the Bundesliga title slip from their grasp at the last possible second against RB Leipzig. Welcome to the Always Bayern Chelsea show. In this episode Danny breaks down this rollercoaster match from top to bottom. Subscribe to the Always Bayern Chelsea YouTube channel for full coverage of the remainder of the football season, all the news, trophy celebrations, and community you can image. Bayern Munich faced off against RB Leipzig with a chance to become champions of the Bundesliga with a win. Instead we got a crazy 3-3 draw with plenty of lows and then highs and then a final second stoppage time goal to halt the already begun celebrations. Danny takes to the mic with emotions running high to break down Vincent Kompany's lineup (yes Harry Kane was suspended), tactics, player performances, and all the match highlights/lowlights. An early defensive miscommunication and collapse from Bayern saw keeper Jonas Urbig far off his line setting up a simple Benjamin Sesko goal which was followed by another Leipzig goal sending them off to a blazing 2-0 start. In the second half Bayern Munich scored two goals in less than a minute to equalize. Eric Dier's header assisted by a Michael Olise corner and then Olise getting a goal himself assisted by Serge Gnabry. Finally, late in the match Leroy Sane scored what was seemingly the Bundesliga dagger in the 83 minute from a Joshua Kimmich assist flick. Players and Vincent Kompany himself were beginning title celebrations after 4 minutes of added stoppage time when Kingsley Coman failed to clear a ball in the box and Yussuf Poulsen chipped an equalizer over Urbig in the 95th minute. A single point in this match was enough to guarantee at best Bayer Leverkusen can equal Bayern Munich in points and the Bavarians hold a 30 goal lead in goal differential. The title is all but theirs but mathematically nothing can be awarded until either Leverkusen loses or draws to SC Freiburg or Bayern Munich beats or draws to Borussia Mönchengladbach next week at the Allianz Arena. Be sure to tune back in for a BIG celebration next weekend. Until then Mia San Mia. Subscribe to the YouTube channel to stay updated! Thanks for listening/watching.
Bayern Munich took a weekend loss, but that is not the forefront of mind for most fans. A flukey result majorly impacted by a red card allowed many fans to grant Bayern Munich a mulligan on the final score — mostly because there are bigger fish to fry this week. In addition, in a weekend rife with upsets in the Bundesliga, the loss to VfL Bochum did not end up hurting Bayern Munich too much in the league table. Let's get into our slate of topics. This is what we have on tap for this episode: Unpacking Bayern Munich's loss to VfL Bochum. Big deal? An anomaly? Just the cost of doing business with a condensed schedule? What does €80 million buy you these days? Maybe not much. Where do things stand ahead of the Champions League match vs. Bayer Leverkusen. Joshua Kimmich's saga appears to be coming to an end. Were there winners and losers or did this finish up in a good way for everyone? Also, be sure to stay tuned to Bavarian Podcast Works for all of your up to date coverage on Bayern Munich and Germany. Welcome to the Always Bayern Chelsea show for Episode 75. We're back at it talking about the weekend's domestic matches in the English Premiere League and the Bundesliga with another VIDEO episode for ya. And be sure to head over to the Always Bayern Chelsea YouTube channel to subscribe over there. Join this blossoming community, be here for the subscriber giveaways and for all of the incoming coverage as the season heats up We kick things off by breaking down the crazy 125th anniversary stinker that Bayern Munich put up losing to VfL Bochum 2-3 in a rollercoaster Bundesliga match that had a little bit of everything. We review Vincent Kompany's lineup, tactics, player performances, and all of the match highlights. The starting XI entirely consisted of Bayern's bench players as Kompany finally embraced rotation in order to rest the starters for the upcoming knock out Champions League matches. Bayer started the match great with a pair of goals from Raphael Guerreiro, assisted by Serge Gnabry and Thomas Muller. However, things took a turn for the worst with a missed penalty by Serge Gnabry and a red card from Joao Palhinha taking Bayern down to 10 men. Bochum then scored three unanswered goals and won the match. We attempt to hand out empty match awards before previewing the second leg of Bayern Munich's round of 16 UCL tie with Bayer Leverkusen. We offer up predictions for the big match and close out this Bayern section by providing a quick update on the Joshua Kimmich contract situation. Finally some good news as we break down Chelsea's 1-0 win over Leicester City in the English Premiere League. We discuss Enzo Maresca's lineup, coaching tactics, the match highlights, and individual player performances. The lone goal of the match was scored by Marc Cucurella and was assisted by Enzo Fernandez. After looking at Chelsea's style of play as of late, we dive deeper into Chelsea's future and upcoming matches to preview what's in store and offer some predictions. Chelsea now sits at 4th place in the EPL table with the return leg against Copenhagen in the UEFA conference league coming up as well as Arsenal on the EPL on the horizon. On this week's (slightly late) Bundesliga preview show, Stefan and Manu sit down to discuss a number of the biggest stories in German football ahead of the weekend's football. They begin with the biggest story of the week, which happens to be Joshua Kimmich's reported new deal with Bayern Munich. While Stefan struggles to hold back his surprise, Manu explains the twists and turns of the latest saga at the Allianz Arena. Bayern Munich continues to push forward through a rugged month of February — and yet again, the Bavarians came away with a win over a quality opponent. We've got a lot to say about Bayern Munich's win over Eintracht Frankfurt, but also some thoughts on the unique situation that Max Eberl is in where he is both failing and succeeding (we'll explain). This is what we have on tap for this episode of the Bavarian Podcast Works Show: The aftermath of Bayern Munich vs. Eintracht Frankfurt — what worked? What didn't? Why this was such a refreshing game to watch. Why this win proved that Kompany needs to embrace his squad depth, rotate more, and avoid the same pitfalls that put him in a spot where so many key players are injured. Eberl is getting work done in locking up many key players — with a few more on tap, including Joshua Kimmich and Dayot Upamecano. Bayern Munich is weathering the storm quite nicely (so far) this month, but there is much going on both on and off the field in Bavaria these days. Let's tackle some of it right here on the Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show: Bayern Munich could extend the contract of Dayot Upamecano before Joshua Kimmich re-ups? Who saw that coming? With uncertainty on the menu for this summer, Bayern Munich fans should expect very little action. The biggest keys will be to avoid a panic buy, but to also be ready in the event that that something unexpected happens — like Florian Wirtz wanting to leave Bayer Leverkusen. Whatever happens, Max Eberl is under the microscope. No, I don't know what is going on with Thomas Müller either. Who do you want to see in the Champions League — Bayer Leverkusen or Atlético Madrid? I think I know who I want. A brief Entertainment Rundown. Also, be sure to stay tuned to Bavarian Podcast Works for all of your up to date coverage on Bayern Munich and Germany. Bayern Munich earned a point during its trip to BayArena, but doubt and frustration with the squad's recent performances have some fans feeling uneasy. This is still a very good team (let's not forget!), but exactly how good is a massive question these day. Let's talk about all of that and more on this edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works Show! This is what we have on tap: The aftermath of Bayern Munich's 0-0 draw with Bayer Leverkusen — the good (there was some believe it or not) and the bad. Joshua Kimmich did not do enough against Die Werkself. Is he wearing down — and has Vincent Kompany fallen into the trap of relying on certain players too much? Is it now time to start having some doubt about Kompany? Yes, yes it is. Jamal Musiala's signing went official — and he has the rumored release clause in hand. Let's discuss it all.
