The Catholic Minute podcast has been an incredible source of inspiration and education for me on my faith journey. Hosted by Ken and Janelle, this podcast goes beyond just teaching the basic principles of Catholicism; it delves deeper into the why's and how's of our beliefs. I am truly grateful for the dedication and effort that Ken and Janelle put into this podcast, as their teachings have helped me to better understand my faith and develop a closer relationship with God.
One of the best aspects of The Catholic Minute podcast is the way in which Ken and Janelle are able to break down complex theological concepts into easy-to-understand bite-sized episodes. They have a knack for taking deep truths from Scripture, Church teachings, and traditions, and presenting them in a way that is relatable and accessible to all listeners. Whether you are a lifelong Catholic or new to the faith, their explanations will surely resonate with you and help deepen your understanding.
Another great aspect of this podcast is the variety of content it offers. From monthly prayers to night prayers, novenas, and explanations of Catholic teachings, there is something for everyone in The Catholic Minute. This diverse range of topics keeps each episode fresh and engaging, ensuring that listeners never tire of tuning in. Additionally, Ken and Janelle's enthusiasm for their faith shines through in every episode, making it easy to feel motivated and excited about deepening our own understanding.
While it may seem near impossible to find any faults with such a wonderful podcast like The Catholic Minute, if I had one criticism it would be that there aren't enough episodes released each week. This is purely selfish on my part because I simply can't get enough of their insightful teachings. However, I do understand that producing high-quality content takes time and effort. Nonetheless, I find myself eagerly awaiting each new episode so I can continue my journey towards spiritual growth.
In conclusion, The Catholic Minute podcast is a true gem for anyone seeking to deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith. Ken and Janelle's ability to teach complex concepts in a relatable manner is unmatched, and their passion for their faith is evident in every episode. I am forever grateful for the knowledge and inspiration I have gained from this podcast, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to grow in their relationship with God. Send us a textMore than 70,000 people witnessed the Miracle of the Sun at Fatima — but Heaven was not putting on a spectacle.According to Sister Lucia, Fatima was a warning: a call to repentance, conversion, and prayer meant for the world today. On October 13, 1917, believers, skeptics, journalists, and government officials gathered at Cova da Iria in Portugal. In pouring rain, they witnessed the sun move, spin, and plunge toward the earth — an event now known as the Miracle of the Sun, one of the most documented supernatural events in modern history. But while the crowd watched the sky, the children of Fatima saw something more — visions that revealed why Our Lady came and what Heaven was urgently asking of the world. What Our Lady of Fatima Was Warning Us About? The Miracle of the Sun was not the message. It was meant to confirm the message. Our Lady of Fatima came with a maternal warning:A call to repentance and conversionA summons to pray the Rosary dailyAn invitation to penance and sacrificeA plea to console the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of MaryA sobering revelation of the reality of sin, judgment, and hellAs Sister Lucia later wrote,“The message of Fatima is in its entirety a call to conversion — and that call is for us today.”Support the showSupport this show and get all future episodes by email atwww.kenandjanelle.com

Send us a textThe O Antiphons Explained — the Church's hidden Advent countdown to Christmas that most Catholics have never been taught. From December 17–23, the Church secretly proclaims a message in the liturgy that points to the coming of Christ — and it's hidden in plain sight. For the final days of Advent, the Church shifts the entire focus of the liturgy toward the imminent arrival of Jesus Christ. Beginning on December 17, Catholics pray the O Antiphons — ancient titles of Christ drawn directly from Scripture — during Evening Prayer and at Mass.In this episode, Father Cristino reveals how these seven antiphons — O Sapientia, O Adonai, O Radix Jesse, O Clavis David, O Oriens, O Rex Gentium, and O Emmanuel — are intentionally arranged to form a hidden Latin message when read in reverse. That message?“Ero cras.” — “Tomorrow, I will come.”This is not a coincidence. It is a profound example of how the Church's liturgy quietly teaches theology, Scripture, and longing for Christ — not through explanation, but through prayer itself. In this conversation, you'll discover:• What the O Antiphons are and where they come from• Why they are prayed only from December 17–23• How O Come, O Come Emmanuel is rooted in the liturgy• The hidden Advent message encoded in the antiphons• Why surrendering to the Church's liturgical rhythm forms us more deeply than we realizeThis episode will change the way you experience Advent — and help you enter Christmas with greater awe, anticipation, and faith.Support the showSupport this show and get all future episodes by email atwww.kenandjanelle.com
