Send us a textTHE INCREDIBLE CATHOLIC MIRACLE OF CLAUDE NEWMANThis is one of the most powerful Marian conversion stories in modern Catholic history — a miracle connected to the Miraculous Medal, Our Lady's intercession, and the grace of Holy Mother Church. In 1944, a young prisoner named Claude Newman — with no Christian upbringing and no understanding of the Catholic faith — encounters a mysterious lady glowing with peace. She speaks one invitation that opens the door to his salvation:"If you would like me to be your mother, and you would like to be my child, send for a Catholic priest."Support the showSupport this show and get all future episodes by email atwww.kenandjanelle.com

Immaculate Virgin of the Miraculous Medal, you who decided to appear in front of Saint Catherine Labouré , today I ask you to manifest yourself in my life to attend to this prayer that I dedicate to you today, and that so much needs your help.As you once said, you fill with blessings those who pray to you with their hearts , therefore, today I turn to you to let you know everything that overwhelms or worries me. In your hands I place this, my most special request: (at this point you must make your request clearly).I raise these words confessing my most faithful devotion to the Miraculous Medal and, especially, to you who are a being of light that radiates trust and mercy, so that you have mercy on me at this time and can grant me the grace that I have come to share with you today. All my hope I place in you, my mother. Amen.Thank you for your support. God bless you.Support the show

Friends of the Rosary,Today, November 27, is Thanksgiving Day in the United States. In 1621, colonists in New England gave thanks to God for his abundant mercies and blessings. This became a tradition, and in 1863, Thanksgiving Day was proclaimed a legal holiday. It's worth noting that some historians believe the first Thanksgiving in America was a Catholic Mass held 50 years before the Plymouth settlement. These pilgrims were preceded by Spanish settlers in what became Florida. And that first "Thanksgiving" was Eucharistic.Anyway, today the Catholic Church celebrates Mass, asking that each person's gratitude to God may bear fruit in loving service to neighbor.Today is also the day of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, recalling when the Blessed Mother appeared to St. Catherine Labouré in 1830 and revealed the images of the medal to her.Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! How to Pray Like a Saint: St. Catherine Laboure's Powerful Prayer Method

Have you ever wished that you could pray like a saint? Most people probably think that a saint prays in a formal and pious kind of way… but nothing could be further from the truth! If you long to have the type of intimate connection with the Divine that saints experience, this is the episode for you! In this episode, I share the simple and powerful prayer method of St. Catherine Laboure, who experienced two apparitions of Mother Mary and brought the Miraculous Medal into being! I hope you find St. Catherine's approach to prayer as easy to follow and inspiring as I do! Let me know if you are going to try this method in your prayer practice! PS – One thing many saints have in common is a close connection to the Angels! You can too when you join the Archangel Attunement & Mentoring Program!   Key Learnings: 1) One thing I love about the saints is their intimate relationship with the Divine. This intimacy is often reflected in their prayers. Rather than being formal and pious, their prayers are often conversational and filled with devotion, much like how you might talk with a dear friend or loved one. 2) On a recent visit to the Basilica Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Philadelphia, I noticed something I hadn't seen before. On the wall was the Prayer of St. Catherine Laboure. The prayer itself is simple, but it says so much. And she gives us much more than a prayer, St. Catherine teaches us how to talk AND listen to God. 3) Here is the prayer written on the plaque of the Basilica: Whenever I go to the chapel, I put myself in the presence of our good Lord, and I say to Him, "Lord, I am here. Tell me what you would have me to do." If He gives me some task, I am content, and I thank Him. If He gives me nothing, I still thank Him, since I do not deserve to receive anything more than that. And then, I tell God everything that is in my heart. I tell Him about my pains and joys, and then I listen. If you listen, God will also speak to you, for with the good Lord, you have to both speak and listen. God always speaks to you when you approach Him plainly and simply." "God always speaks to you when you approach Him plainly and simply." The SSPX Podcast is produced by Angelus Press, which has as its mission the fortification of traditional Catholics so that they can defend the Faith, and reaching out to those who have not yet found Tradition.  - - - - - - What is the SSPX? The main goal of the Society of Saint Pius X is to preserve the Catholic Faith in its fullness and purity, to teach its truths, and to diffuse its virtues, especially through the Roman Catholic priesthood. Authentic spiritual life, the sacraments, and the traditional liturgy are its primary means of bringing this life of grace to souls. Although the traditional Latin Mass is the most visible and public expression of the work of the Society, we are committed to defending Catholic Tradition in its entirety: all of Catholic doctrine and morals as the Church has always defended them. What people need is the Catholic Faith, without compromise, with all the truth and beauty which accompanies it. https://sspx.org

Friends of the Rosary, Today, November 27, we commemorate Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, recalling when the Blessed Mother appeared to St. Catherine Labouré, a Daughter of Charity in Paris, in 1830 and revealed the images of the medal. Standing upon a globe, the Virgin Mary held a golden ball, symbolizing the world and each person; on her fingers were rings with gems that emitted light rays. She told St.Catherine, "These rays symbolize the graces I shed upon those who ask for them. The gems from which rays do not fall are the graces for which souls forget to ask." She held her hands outstretched like a loving mother while rays of light cascaded upon the globe at her feet as she stood atop the serpent's head. The words, "O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee," framed the image in an oval. St. Catherine then saw an image of an M upon which was a cross. Underneath the M was Our Lord's heart crowned with thorns and Our Lady's heart pierced by a sword. Twelve stars surrounded this image. The Blessed Virgin instructed St. Catherine to have a medal made of these images, and she promised many graces to all who wore it. Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You! Come, Holy Spirit, come! Do you have a Miraculous Medal? Do you keep it close by?   On The Patrick Madrid Show, Helene from Arizona called in with a great question that you might have wondered too: What makes the Miraculous Medal so miraculous? Here's Patrick's response.    A Brief History: It all started with St. Catherine Labouré, a French nun who received a private vision of the Blessed Virgin Mary back in the 1800s. An angel led her to a chapel where Our Lady asked for a medal to be created, showing her image on one side and powerful symbols on the other. This medal was meant to be a sign of love for God and Mary, and a way to ask for graces that people often miss out on simply because they don't even ask!    Countless Miracles: Since then, there have been countless stories of miracles linked to the Miraculous Medal—healings, conversions, and dramatic transformations. The stories are too many to count now, but they all share something in common: this simple devotion has led people to deeper faith in Jesus and His Mother.   What's It For? Think of the medal like a wedding ring—a visible reminder of your love and devotion. When you feel it or see it, you're reminded of your connection to God. Plus, it's a conversation starter! If someone asks, you get to share your faith. That's always a good thing, right?!    Want to Learn More? Patrick recommends checking out The Miraculous Medal: Stories, Prayers, and Devotions by Donna-Marie Cooper O'Boyle for some inspiring real-life miracles connected to this devotion. And in case you're wondering—yes, Patrick wears one too!   It's a simple, powerful way to keep your heart close to Our Lady and Jesus. ⛪
