This week in baseball we had our first manager firings of the year. Joe Maddon and Joe Girardi both got canned this week after both their teams went through some bad stretches. The Angels lost 14 in a row and the Phillies have been flat out uncompetitive and needed a shake up. Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani have been ice cold during that stretch but you know who hasn't been? However, the baseball world is furious that on their final official ballot, Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens did not get in. The Field of Dreams Game was the talk of baseball this week. The history and nostalgia of the movie took over baseball and the game was as we all hoped, incredible. The pitching this week was also nothing short of amazing as Adam Wainwright threw a "Maddux", which is a complete game with less than 100 pitches. Corbin Burnes also had a day striking out 15 including 10 straight Ks tying the record set by Tom Seaver and tied earlier this year by Aaron Nola.
