One hundred and thirty third Episode released on 12/17/2021. Happy Friday UG Fam! Hope everyone is having a good December and enjoying the holidays season. I myself am not focused on any of that. I have a lot of massive change coming and things I've been trying to get in order to make it all happen. I've hit that wall of anxiety and procrastination with a lot of it, but I am figuring out how to sort through it all in my head. On this episode I touch on that, but also on just exercising demons that I have once again trying to get back into the flow so I can make everything happen that I have planned. Special thanks to those who helped me in that process and been positive regardless if every activity was healthy or not. I definitely am learning to seek more balance in my life as I've been on the extreme ends and seen what that does. Actually, being a part of NFT communities has taught me this even more, to honor balance. I also noticed that due to me announcing massive change in my life that others around me who may have different circumstances start to question themselves. This was evident and I picked up on it a lot. It gave me good perspective and made me realize that I really am deciding to make change at a time when I truly have nothing to lose. I actually in a greater position than most and it made me be more grateful to see and know that. Last, I hit on how experiencing toxicity may end up changing on how you want to act in the world, but deep down it doesn't really change who you are. The mission and vision is still the same, but I am deciding to move differently and take on more risk in my life. I truly think it's what I need and while it may hurt those around me. They don't see the vision or know the pain that I carry. It's really about to be a thrilling time as I set out on my next endeavors. I haven't fully decided on how much energy I will have left to put into the pod, but I will probably be off and on it just as I always have. Time is ticking. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. Today's episode touches on the following topics: 1. The climb back isn't always a smooth process 2. When planning massive change, understand that almost nothing is going to go according to plan 3. While toxic things may change how you want to act, fundamentally you are still the same #BlackLivesMatter #StopAsianHate --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/michael-manns/support

One hundred and thirty second Episode released on 12/04/2021. Happy Saturday UG Fam! I'm back. Again. This time my absence was literally out of my control. I was silenced due to things that I touch on in the episode. This past month-month and a half was the darkest time period and most stressed out I've been in my adult life. The storms have finally started to clear and my path is looking clear ahead of me. I see where I must go and I've already set things in motion which you guys will be able to see over the course of the next month or so. It's time to become what I ought to be. Get my soul in alignment. Massive change is coming for my life and this episode discusses what triggered the expedited change. It's a long episode and goes over the mental health issues I had. I literally felt like I went crazy and was dangerous out there. I barely slept. I lost 15 pounds in a month. I was miserable. It's good to be back. It's also good to have calculated risks up my sleeve and see things are falling into place. I HAD TO GO THROUGH ALL THIS SHIT TO MAKE IT TO THIS POINT. Thank you to all those I leaned on during this time frame, those who listened, those who put up with my shit. I appreciate every last one of you. I also apologize to the ones I drug into all of this whether intentionally or inadvertently. All the women who I pulled in due to the confusion or whatever with Butterfly. On the career note, I will say, the people who tested me, tested the wrong man. On the personal note, I will also say, the person who hurt me the most was the person I had the most love for so be careful out there. Your biggest fear shouldn't be losing someone, it should be losing yourself. Everything will be in the book I am writing in way more detail someday. There's a whole lot more to my story. I'm using that pain to become the greatest. I want to reiterate I was cleared of any and all allegations of misconduct against me and a decline letter from the district attorney should arrive next week. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. Today's episode touches on the following topics: 1. Going through things and absolutely losing your mind 2. Career and personal disclosures 3. One hundred and thirty first Episode released on 10/22/2021. Happy Friday UG Fam! Been a little bit, but I was traveling and wanted to enjoy that time with my friends. I went to Boise, Idaho to see my brother from another mother Roscoe! He graduated from BSU so I went out there to see him and celebrate that since I couldn't attend the actual graduation ceremony later this year. The trip was fun and I touch on it some in this episode. I also talk about the season change which I've noticed immensely since I've returned to Oregon. It's like I'm seeing things in slow motion and staring at a magnificent piece of art as I see the leaves change to the plethora of burnt colors. It's allowed me to do great reflection and feel really in tune with the change going on around me. I talk about how when you're this in tune, it usually means big change is coming in your life because you're noticing the change around you more. Second, I chose to drive to Boise instead of fly and I talk about this being a hack for more solid reflection time and deep work if you want it to be. I've done this a few times on certain trips and gotten a lot out of it. Can be something you try if you are seeking more growth. The book I'm listening to (not reading) talks about going into isolation to really tap into that deep work that will put you in a state of flow. Last, I received a random phone call from a lady named Judy whom I told a story about on this pod a couple years ago. Unfortunately, I could tell the pain in her voice from the jump. Judy's husband's health is failing and failing quickly. This is a terrible situation that I think we all fear. Growing old with a person you love and watching them fade quicker than you. Please keep Judy in your thoughts and prayers. While this was hard to hear from Judy in such a negative light. I don't think for one second there isn't further meaning behind why I'm getting this phone call at this particular time in my own life. I'm pulling more from it because it correlates to the vision I have running in my head. So some out of the blue things, really aren't out of the blue. They are reminders. Keep pushing. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. Today's episode touches on the following topics: 1. When you feel more in tune and in touch with your surroundings it's probably a sign that big change is coming 2. Don't always fly when traveling if it's a close enough trip 3. One hundred and thirtieth Episode released on 10/09/2021. Happy Saturday UG Fam! Hopefully y'all are enjoying the last of this nice weather before we roll deeper into fall. I definitely am starting to feel that cool crisp air roll in more especially at night out here in the Portland Metro area. Tonight, I'm excited to watch some heavyweights slam it out in the ring (Fury vs. Wilder). This fight was supposed to take place on my bday in NYC this year on my birthday, but well as you'll see later in this episode, sometimes you are wrong and the universe bends things. Also after I recorded this I received a phone call from my homies who are visiting LA right now having a good time. That's why I titled this episode this because I had to give them some friendly reminders to stay safe out there. Okay, so first I talk about how sometimes you are going to keep receiving signs from the universe and at times you are going to deny them. It's usually because you aren't properly aligned and you have this thing hovering over you called laziness. Just slow down, remember to keep your hand on the steering wheel and head in the right direction. Life is life, it's going to take time. I say this a lot, but you can't be on all the time. Sometimes you need to BS yourself, because no one is perfect. Second, I talk about when you finish learning something you don't really learn it until you apply the information with intention. I had to go through this after a long journey of studying something in particular. I wanted the reward yet I hadn't even implemented what I'd been learning. While, I'm playing it safe and waiting for the right entry point, I'm also going over this course a second time in order to pay attention to the details and really make sure I know what the f*** I'm doing moving forward. This can be super difficult though, because people don't like learning something twice, although, those who really want it, will do it. And will likely be more successful in their overall journey. Last, I talk about when you are wrong, you are wrong. I picked this up from Ray Dalio's book Principles which I started reading. I talk about how things swing in life quickly. Even when you don't think they will. You need to analyze why you are wrong. I've had so many things swing that didn't seem possible but you just have to understand you can't bend the universe to your will every time or to that preconceived way you think things will play out. It just doesn't work like that unfortunately. Continue to learn from them losses. I still am and I'm still taking my time with it. Stumbling and sometimes doing dumb things along the way, but it's okay keep pushing. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. Today's episode touches on the following topics: 1. Denying some signals 2. Apply learned knowledge with intention 3. One hundred and twenty-ninth Episode released on 10/01/2021. Happy Friday UG Fam! Welcome to October. For me this is going to be a very tough month I can already feel it. Although, I do have a lot of events to look forward to. I think it will balance out decently. Lately, I've been in a different mind frame. So much so, that once again, I put the pod to the side like I always do. I was asked to be a guest on a new pod by some friends, their show is called Big Duck Energy (please check it out if you are an Oregon football or College football fan). So put time and energy into that guest episode and didn't feel like hopping back on here. Then, a friend of mine sent me clips of my pod encouraging me to keep at it. The voice in my head told me, you know you can't stop forever ya know, people are counting on you. In this episode I talk about having weighted reasons to continue at whatever it is that you are at. When it's tough, bad, ugly, whatever. If you have solid weighted reasons then stop with the excuses and move. Second, I talked to y'all about getting off the tracks in the last episode. Well now I really feel as though I'm not off, I'm just on a completely new set of tracks. I feel like I have something to prove and I'm going to do it. I talk about how going through the tough times ALONE is sometimes truly needed. You have to go through shit alone and lean into it. Being a lone wolf is lethal. When you come out the other side of that I'm telling you, your gonna be able to out compete a majority of other people. And don't stop because you stop pleasing others in your life. It's not about them. It's about you and where you are trying to go to another level. Last, I talk about deep work, being focused, not distracted, not being content, having grander visions than most, doing calculations, in order to get to those higher levels. Don't forget many people wake up and just think about the day ahead of them. If you have a real vision that stretches out, I guarantee you are further ahead than most people. As we roll into October, keep pushing y'all. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. Today's episode touches on the following topics: 1. Find weighted reasons to keep going 2. Not off the tracks, just on a completely other set 3. You have to get into deep work #BlackLivesMatter #StopAsianHate Thank you and I'll catch you later. One hundred and twenty-eighth Episode released on 09/06/2021. Happy Monday UG Fam! It's been a crazy holiday weekend for me. I hope you guys enjoyed it as well. I've been going through a lot mentally over the past few months. I've lost a lot of people I love. Having Drake drop CLB and Kayne drop Donda had me in my feelings over everything. I've been off the tracks for awhile now, and it's been a constant back and forth battle. At times, I want to throw in the towel but I realize that ain't me and never will be. I ended up going down to Oregon's first football game vs Fresno State. It's always a good thing going back to the place that molded me into who I am. It was a last minute thing but I felt the urge to go. Something in me told me to go down and I'm glad that I did because I was paying attention to the people I met and the things I saw. On this episode, the first thing I talk about is that getting off the tracks is going to happen. It's on us on how far off you go and how long. Secondly, I talk about paying attention to messages you are delivered while you are off the tracks. At a gas station, there was a rock next to the card reader that read "love yourself". I ended up asking the young employee who put it there and he told me "I did, I've been struggling with who I am and want people to have a reminder to really love themselves". I received the message, I didn't think it was random, I believe it was there for me. I also met a good soul who I ended up having a deep conversation with about what I'd been going through. Later in the night, she randomly pulled out a bouncy ball and started bouncing it around. On Friday morning, I had tweeted "You know how I bounce". I didn't take this as a coincidence. Once again, I received the message. It's up to you if you receive these messages as a "blessing". Last I talk about how no matter how long you're off the tracks, you can find your way back. I truly feel as though these things occurred in order for me to get back on my tracks and go further in life. We learn from our failures, we just have to keep failing, keep learning, and keep pushing. If you get off the tracks, get back on and GO FURTHER this time before getting off again. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. Today's episode touches on the following topics: 1. Getting off the tracks is going to happen 2. When you're off the tracks, pay attention to what messages appear 3. No matter how long you're off the tracks, you can find your way back #BlackLivesMatter #StopAsianHate Thank you and I'll catch you later. One hundred and twenty-seventh Episode released on 08/20/2021. Happy Friday UG Fam! Man if you missed the episode last week, there was a lot of emotion in that one as my emotions were super heightened during that time frame, probably a good one to go back and check out. Today, I was a bit more laxed, even on the energy, but I still think I went over some good topics for you guys. First, I talk about just getting an objective opinion about whatever it is you are going through. Sometimes, it's just time to finally admit you need an outside resource to get through some things. That is okay, you shouldn't feel like it's not. An alternative could be to use your writing to get out feelings as well. This has always worked very well for me as I believe it's very therapeutic but that could just be my personality. Everyone is different. Second, I talk about revenge, which I totally think is okay to feel and go through as long as you keep control of it. It's a natural thing for us humans to feel. It's a tool to prevent others from taking advantage of us. It can also be very pleasing for the person experiencing that revenge. You've heard the saying sweet revenge. But don't let it become an addiction. Yes, you can let it fuel you, but keep it under wraps and have an awareness to it. Personally, I'm in that place right now, but I know it, and I also know where I'm going and I also know it's more about myself than it is about anyone else. I know my finish line in the revenge plot. Third, I talk about being able to accomplish feats while being broken, and that can be physically, emotionally, or mentally. The ability to do so, is called GRIT. This is a word I've talked about before as one of my life's greatest mentors taught me it. Please take time to learn it and develop it in your daily life. If you can take your mind to another place when the going gets tough. You can alter your results however you want. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. Today's episode touches on the following topics: 1. Sometimes you need to talk or share to people outside your circle 2. Revenge has upsides when under control 3. Being broken and still pushing through is GRIT #BlackLivesMatter #StopAsianHate Thank you and I'll catch you later. One hundred and twenty-sixth Episode released on 08/13/2021. Happy Friday UG Fam! Where do I even begin? First off, thank you if you are still here. I can't even count anymore the number of times I have dropped off on this podcast. I know I have a gift for this and I know that the creative in me wants this to work, but the consistency that I preach isn't there. This might end up being the longest episode description just due to the time gap but also everything that has transpired in my life. I think when I left y'all the last time I had just gotten back from a trip to Montana that was amazing. I brought in a ton of perspective from that trip and dropped it on here, so if you haven't listened to that episode go back and do that. Speaking of trips, thats where I've been, but a lot happened prior and after, obviously I wasn't gone for an entire month. Prior to this huge summer trip, I had pre-planned it out with one of my closest and realest friends since the start of the year. We created an itinerary for 3 cities, 2 on the east coast and 1 in the south. During the course of this past year, I had developed an unimaginable romance with a particular person. I can't even begin to explain the type of love that ran its course. It was unlike anything I'd ever experienced in my life. The start of the summer was filled with memories and build up with this particular love interest. So of course this itinerary was created around this person. I had pulled out all the stops, after all this was going to be my second chance to obtain this individual. We had already went through a split earlier in the year, after which I turned into a f****** beast. I had changed my entire life and was seeing the greatest output and energy I'd ever seen after the first split. So going into all this I was coming hard. Probably too hard, too much pressure. I'm a Leo after all. I won't get into all the details, but what I presumed to be a pivotal type of trip in my life definitely lived up to that. Just not in the way in which I thought. Instead, I was once again left heartbroken. 808's and heartbreak was the first album I played hopping in the whip. I turned to alcohol, one of my most troublesome vices to numb the pain. This was the very vice I had gained control over earlier in the year to turn into that beast I referenced. I let people down close in my life by not setting a good example and for that it weighed on my conscience. I know everyone makes their own decisions, but god damn Mike, you are supposed to be the one leading by example. I led poorly and I went to a dark place. The trip however, did turn out pivotal, just in a completely different way than I ever imagined. I still met a ton of amazing people, saw amazing talented creatives do their thing, ate amazing bomb food, had plenty of ab hurting laughs, and made a plethora of irreplaceable memories. Overall, I was placed in very uncomfortable situations and grew a ton. Coming back though, I had to unpack everything that had transpired. I had to dive deep into why things had transpired and that led me down a path I never wanted to go down. But one I had to take in order to really understand where I need to go from here on out. It's time, it really is. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. Today's episode touches on the following topics: 1. Heartbreak happens 2. Unpacking the contents to your life is difficult 3. In order to grow, you have to get uncomfortable #BlackLivesMatter #StopAsianHate Thank you and I'll catch you later. One hundred and twenty-fifth Episode released on 07/02/2021. Happy Friday UG Fam! Man was I glad to get out of the blistering Portland heat last weekend. Who would of thought helping move my friends would save me from a heat wave. Hope you guys managed to stay cool and hope y'all are about to have a safe Fourth of July Weekend. This episode stems from my trip to Missoula, Montana to help my friends move into their new home. I was able to take some things away, some things have been shared on the pod before but were worth sharing again. First, I tell you guys to always help your friends move which I have already said before. Not only will you be able to rely on them when it comes your time. I also believe you will get good karma coming back your way. Second, I talk about appreciating when friends show you pockets of heaven on earth. Especially when you know they put time and effort into giving you an experience. You should honestly be sincerely grateful and show that to them. Last, I talk about no matter the environment you can adapt and be productive and continue to do the things that you care for. You should find a way and this honestly tells a lot about who you are and the person you've become. If it matters, you will be doing it no matter where in the world you are. This trip was an amazing experience for me. I got to see more perspective and was honestly blown away. I loved it so much I definitely want to go back and show others as well. The Big Sky was no lie and it's someone you have to see with you own eyes for sure. Thank y'all for the continued support. One hundred and twenty-fourth Episode released on 06/25/2021. Happy Friday UG Fam! I feel like a broken record at times, because throughout the life of this pod, I've had periods of times where I struggle to maintain its consistency. Life happens and I got a lot of things pulling me in many different ways. I know at my core I'm meant to do this though. I always find my way back. It's been almost a month and while my focus has laid in other areas, I know I need to put some more focus here as it's part of my journey. I hope y'all stay cool this weekend out here in Portland. 100+ degrees! I'm heading to Missoula, Montana and will be driving while this drops to go help my friends move into their new home and visit. Thankfully it will be upper 80's there, so I'm grateful the weather worked out for me. On this episode I talk about leading people to the lake, but understanding you can't force them to drink. It's not your responsibility and only they can do it for themselves. Help lead, but don't push. Move on to those that do want to drink and you'll find those will be the people you associate with more. Second, I talk about losing focus as this was clearly evident for me over the past month and I had to take inventory of this. You know, the first part of this year reminds me a lot of a stock's chart. Breaking to the upside and going on a run, only to break off and fall down for a bit. I think it's important that you start to understand your slipping and you have honest conversations with yourself. I also think once you start communicating with those close to you about it, that's a good clue you're telling yourself to get back in rhythm so go do it. Last, I talk about how there are going to be bad things that people do to you in life. Don't let hate consume your heart. Let it go, take the high road, and let God, the universe, your higher power or whatever you believe in to handle those things. You don't want negative thoughts in your mind, you don't want to receive them. Scratch them out. It's also not on you to fix things. Also, just because you perceive it as "bad" doesn't necessarily make it bad. The bad things may have been validated by the other being. You don't walk in someone else's shoes. Let things go and focus on pleasantness within yourself and around you. You really can't do that with hate in your heart. ALRIGHT TIME TO GO PACK LOL. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. Today's episode touches on the following topics: 1. You can lead people to the lake, but you can't make them drink 2. Losing focus 3. One hundred and twenty-third Episode released on 05/31/2021. Happy Monday UG Fam! Hope you had a good Memorial Day. Today was busy and took some time to get myself mentally in the headspace to record so this is a late night drop. The weekend was amazing weather in Portland, and I definitely took advantage of it. On Sunday, I went to Mississippi Ave in Portland and had quite the experience. I was able to read in a park overlooking the city and then walk up and down the street seeing everything it had to offer. Would def recommend anyone to do the same. During my time there, I saw and felt only what I can explain as divine intervention types of signals and moments. Which is interesting cause I just helped my gma hang a quilt that reads "I believe there are Angels among us". Without getting into details for personal reasons, I took in these moments and signals and they stuck in my mind. I reviewed them after and I think you should be more open to seeing and feeling what's going on around you. Some strange things happen on this planet and they may pass you up if you're not ALERT. These moments or signals can and do matter. And if they are stuck in your brain, they are there for a reason. So review them. Second, I talk about important locations being used to conjure up our positive emotions that we need to get back on track if our emotional tank is out of whack. I use these places often and they work well because they are such huge emotional spots. The worst thing you can do for yourself is continue to move through life in a poor emotional state. One hundred and twenty-second Episode released on 05/29/2021. Happy Saturday UG Fam! Happy Memorial Day weekend. I hope y'all are getting outside spending time with family and loved ones. The weather here in Portland is absolutely beautiful and I was not hyped to be inside recording this episode but it had to be done. It'd been like two weeks since I'd put out content for you guys. I had went on a trip with my friends for their birthdays outside of Redmond at Eagle Crest Resort so I'd been absent. However, that trip was a blast and I had such a good time with everyone there. I made a lot of memories and I won't ever forget that trip or the amazing people around me. It was truly special! On this episode I talk about that trip and how I decided to end my sobriety and have my first drink of alcohol in about 4 months. It's all good though, I've gotten to a point where I know I have that control that's needed to fallback on at any moment and I speak on it on this topic. Second, I talk about continuing to be grateful as so many doors open in your life at once. We want to walk through the doors and stay in the room and not get drug back out by distractions. I think a great way to do this is to be grateful and continue to be focused on the things that led to all these doors opening. Last, I talk about just being there for your friends during life milestones, accomplishments, or events. My friend Diego came up with a great idea to go visit our friend's Emmanuel and Sury who were having their baby at OHSU. Even though we couldn't go in and see them or our new nephew, we were able to make signs and hold them up and smoke some celebratory cigars. It meant a lot to our friends and they know that with the love and support we showed them through our actions. Keep supporting, keep creating peacefulness, and great things are going to come back your way. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. Today's episode touches on the following topics: 1. It's okay to allow yourself to have fun once you master control 2. As more doors open, stay grateful and stay focused 3. Keep supporting your friends and creating peacefulness #BlackLivesMatter #StopAsianHate Thank you and I'll catch you later. One hundred and twenty-first Episode released on 05/17/2021. Happy Monday UG Fam! If you weren't outside today, I'm going to have to call your momma on you. It was so spectacular out today and I really enjoyed the weather. I hope you were able to as well. This episode I could tell I was in a great mood sitting down to record based on my day, so that energy is there. First, I talk about shooting your shot. I was reminded as Steph Curry won the scoring title today and one of my boys saw a girl at event over the weekend he wanted to shoot his shot at that he couldn't take his eyes off. You just have to go for it and do it. We've talked about it before, but a good reminder as we head into another summer. Second, I talk about being a roamer. That's really what I did today and it's something I do often. It's how I've discovered some of the best food, best tea/coffee shops, parks, viewpoints, and other small businesses in the city. I recommend you try it out for yourself as well, more than a few times to discover the endless new things popping up all the time. Don't be afraid to do s*** alone, you can do this with friends or a SO but don't let being alone stop you. The relationship you develop WITHIN matters more than you would ever think. Last, I talk about being grateful for these events that we are starting to be able to go back to again. It really feels good to soak them all in after not being able to do many of them for so long. As we roll into summer 2021, be mindful of them and take some extra appreciation away from them. It's going to continue to pick back up with all this pent up demand so have fun, be safe, and stay grateful. Gratefulness is a key to life and I want you all to use it. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. Today's episode touches on the following topics: 1. A shot, is better than no shot 2. Be a roamer 3. Be grateful to attend events #BlackLivesMatter #StopAsianHate Thank you and I'll catch you later. One hundred-twentieth Episode released on 05/14/2021. Happy Friday UG Fam! I know Jermaine Cole just dropped an album, but we just had to go ahead and drop this fire guest episode for y'all as well. Man, I can't express how thankful I am to attract great people into my life that allow me to continue to tell their stories. This one, is special and I think you guys are going to get a ton of value and perspective ONCE AGAIN. When I picked the title for this episode it was from reflecting on my time with Cedric and also just what he said in the episode. You can't be afraid to branch out and go to new places. Fresh was fitting because my favorite TV showing growing up was Fresh Prince. When Cedric came out to Portland we went out and wore Will and Carlton Fresh Prince jerseys and that night was as memorable as it gets. But more importantly, in the show, Will moves into a whole new life and if you watched the show, we all know how that worked out. Tons of growth. Cedric brings a lot to the table, but you're going to feel his infectious energy right away and he is a hilarious, loyal, and family man type of dude. Cedric is from the south, growing up in Fulton Mississippi. Cedric played college baseball at Ole Miss and got into the finance world working as an auditor but then transitioned to payroll at a successful company. Cedric bounced around in his twenties, making mistakes like most of us do. However, he learned important skills like networking and the ability to branch out and finally found his home and started his family in Nashville, Tennessee. Where he absolutely loves it. His journey is an incredible one and he gives some great advice throughout the episode. Man, always an honor and can't wait to link up with my guy again. One last note, you never know who you are going to meet. Relationships are huge, we said it on this episode, but can't stress that enough. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. One hundred-nineteenth Episode released on 05/10/2021. Happy Monday UG Fam! I hope y'all showed out and showed some love and appreciation to those powerful women who had a hand in raising us and guiding us throughout our lives yesterday. Mother's Day was yesterday and I saw a lot of positive outpouring on social media which I thought was awesome. I was grateful to be able to take my gma out to lunch and also call and have a chat with my step-mom on the phone yesterday. Moving into the episode, I first speak on butting heads with these people who raise us. I think we all at some point have had tough times with those who've had a hand in raising us. I know I did and still do. But these tough times really are what shape us and turn us into who we are. Usually parents are striving to make us better because they want the best for us. So be thankful for the tough times because when you look back, they are what shaped you! Second, I talk about doing favors for friends. You should do these as much as you can, especially with those who are close to you. We talk about giving in order to receive. Do favors, unless they are ludicrous. Your friends rely on you and you should back that up with being a dependable friend. Last, I talk about how we can learn lessons from every single person we pour our time into in life. Some lessons will take longer than others to figure out. Some people will bring one, other's will bring multiple to you. Some are going to slap you in the face, hard and quick. Just continue to be a life long learner like we always talk about. School may be over for you, or maybe not, but life is full of lifelong lessons. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. One hundred-eighteenth Episode released on 05/07/2021. Happy Friday UG Fam! Rolling into another weekend, I hope it turns into a good one for y'all. Another late night drop, been losing track of time lately, mind is running through so many things as of late. On this episode I talk about how we need to be thankful for the new things we gain access to. I just got my new Peloton bike which I'd been pondering about purchasing for awhile and finally pulled the trigger. Shoutout Starside. I have to say I am truly thankful for it because it's another tool to help me on my journey. This reminded me of all the other new things that have since turned old. I ask y'all to pick them up and show them some love and appreciation as well. We have a lot of things that we once were excited about. Things that can help us create and be more. Don't forget them and be grateful for the access. Second, I talk about EMOTION driving us. It really is that driving force that gets us in motion. I give an example from when I was writing the outline for this show and I remind y'all to take the bad emotions like pain and use it to drive you, not bury you. You gotta learn to flip it. Last, I talk about investing in experiences! Damn, today my routine was out of whack cause I spent hours finding AirBnb's for this upcoming life trip I'm taking in Summer 21'. But, we successfully booked 3 of them things, and I'm stoked to go live out some unrestricted life with people I love and care about surrounding me. So pick up your anchors y'all and set sail. What is life if you can't have stories to tell one day. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. Today's episode touches on the following topics: 1. Make sure you are thankful for access to new things 2. Emotion drives us. One hundred-seventeenth Episode released on 05/03/2021. Happy Monday UG Fam! I hope y'all had an amazing weekend. The weather here in Portland was hit and miss but still was nice enough. I'm excited to announce a partnership with Cuts Clothing which has been a long time in the works coming (almost a year). Their brand aligns really well with the Ubiquitous Growth lifestyle I'm building. I wear their brand quite often and have been utilizing them in my Instagram quite a bit over the past year. It all started with one of my homies giving me a shirt and the rest is going to be history. So a small W for me, but it's really just an opportunity that I need to make the most of, so be on the lookout on my Instagram for content and work related to that. That realized opportunity is really the inspiration for this episode. I took some things away throughout the process so figured I'd share them on the pod. First, when you accomplish something, it's bigger than just you. Make sure you thank those around you who helped you attain that goal. A simple thank you or show of appreciation goes a long ways in building team chemistry. You should want to be a good person and teammate to all those important in your life. Second, when you win, celebrate shortly. I go into how Coach Kelly and Helfrich at Oregon had a 24 hour celebration rule. I think you should apply that as well to your personal life and personal wins. Last, everything is earned. Hard work won't fail you. Just make sure you earn it. You don't want to be handed things or you won't feel the true reward. I hope y'all got something to take away from this episode. I ran through it pretty fast cause I'm so hyped for this opportunity. Lastly, I want to thank again all those people who are a part of my personal journey. You all know who you are and I LOVE each and every single one of you! FOR REAL. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. One hundred-sixteenth Episode released on 05/01/2021. Happy Saturday UG Fam! Yes, it's a Saturday and yes it's MAY! Damn just like that. I apologize for taking another absence from the pod. I had a few events going on and then not going to lie, I slacked off some. But hey, that's the ups and downs we always talk about. I am human, not a robot. Although with the way tech is advancing, okay I'll sip my tea. Anyways, this episode I talk about DREAMS. You know the things we all have. And how they are going to take time. I give the example of the NFL draft which was this week cause I can relate to those guys. They fulfilled a life long dream after years of preparation. So please remember it takes time in your own journey. AND GO BACK TO YOUR WHY. Second, I talk about the You in the mirror and how that's where we need to start the change if we feel tired of the person who's been looking back at us. No one but you is going to change. Last, I talk about declining an offer that isn't a good fit for you and how you should do so in humility and with respect. Don't sever the connection by being rude. And just because one thing may not work out, doesn't mean other things down the line won't. Keep that in mind. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. One hundred-fifteenth Episode released on 04/19/2021. Happy Monday UG fam! Hope you guys enjoyed the amazing weather over the weekend. I definitely got out and about and soaked in the sun. Was busy on Sunday so I didn't record yesterday. I think this was for a reason. This morning was nice again and I was on the stairmaster at the gym peering through the windows at my old apartment (which I can see from the gym). It got me thinking about where I am now vs where I was then. I was operating at a poor level during that point in my life. I am super grateful for the change that I've seen in myself since that time period. I wanted to share with you guys on this episode in order to help inspire again. So starting off, I talk about how location doesn't change you. You change you. You still make the choices once you are placed in a new environment. Next, I tell you still need to be grateful for tough time periods in your life. When you look back, you'll see that you were being tested. I also touch on self-control and discipline which again, are pillars of a great life. Last, I tell y'all that a lot can change within a couple years, a lot can change internally and externally for you. A couple years isn't that much time in the story of your life. Stay down, have your faith high, and HOLD your vision tightly. You can transform your life or situation if you put in the effort to change. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. One hundred-fourteenth Episode released on 04/16/2021. Happy Friday UG fam! Man, I definitely added a little pre-episode hype for this one on my Instagram, but I am really excited to share this story with y'all. I met Noe a few years back and it's a mentorship that I am forever grateful for. Noe's story is absolutely the kind of growth content I want to share on this platform. When I met Noe I didn't even realize everything he'd been through and he didn't know what I did for a living, we were just a couple of dudes chopping it up at the gym. He shared some information with me and while I was hesitant and skeptical at first, I eventually ran with it and I'm continuing to grow based off that. I think there is a ton of value in Noe's story, from growing up in a violent environment, getting into drugs and alcohol as a young teenager, to getting into hustling, which led him down a dark path and to prison, to changing his approach and mindset and coming out with the desire to get better. Noe successfully helps run his grandparents business and he has become a savvy cryptocurrency investor. Noe is also a dad now and is always sharing updates of his son with me, which I love to see. Noe speaks from the heart and there are a lot of lessons to be learned from someone who has walked his difficult path. I'm glad I attract great people with grand stories to tell and I'm able to share them with you guys here. I really hope y'all enjoy this one! And this one I'm going to try something new and post the video of it to YouTube, so stay on the lookout for that as well. Thank y'all for the continued support. Today was a sunny nice day in Portland and I'm looking forward to the next weekend which is supposed to be even better. Welcome to another week. I hope y'all have a great week and get a lot accomplished. Sometimes, we won't get everything done, but as long as we're getting SOME of it done. That's progress. Moving into the topics, first, I talk about sometimes how we need to get things reviewed or get a second set of eyes to help us review and make sure we got things right. It doesn't hurt. It will save us in the end. Second, I talk about surrender your time sometimes. You have to do this, to keep healthy relationships, but don't do it because you have to. Do it because you want to. and it's okay to tell people you have more important things to do. If sometimes you do. Last, I talk about how sometimes you have to not question so much the season you currently are in. We tend to focus on why we are in a particular season or phase so much instead of focusing on the growth that will lead us out of there. Focus on the good, the joy, the bliss, the happiness. And you'll be in a completely different situation before you know it. THIS FRIDAY, very excited to bring y'all an incredible story of an important person I met a few years ago, from hustling, to prison, shifting their mindset, to helping others, giving back, running a business, and becoming a parent. One hundred-eleventh Episode released on 04/05/2021. Happy Monday UG fam! Hope y'all had a fantastic Easter weekend with family and loved ones. I was grateful to get out and watch the Final Four over the weekend with friends. Saw an incredible finish to the Gonzaga vs. UCLA game. I literally called a buzzer beater a few minutes before the game ended stating this was going to be a game we would talk about for years. I was at the Fields in Portland and the whole place went crazy and that supreme energy was great to feel. Anyways, moving into this pod. First topic, I talk to y'all about not letting fake love trick you. I tell y'all to give, but be careful who and where you give. If it's a dead zone, you won't get much if anything back. Time to put that good hearted energy elsewhere. There is much more opportunity out in the world, don't forget that. Second, I talk to you about your relationship with taxes as it is tax season. Yes, we got another month, but I'm currently doing my taxes so it seemed fitting. I'm also expanding my mind to taxes and the tax code and trying to figure out how I can take advantage of it better in order to save more money and TIME in the long run. I'm still in my learning process and I know some of y'all are probably already doing this at a high level, which is great. But for a lot of people, they have a poor relationship with taxes and view it as a bad thing, where the government takes their hard earned dollars. I'm currently reading a book that one of the main points in taking advantage of the tax code that is written to SAVE YOU MONEY is to change your facts. Book is listed below. I suggest you open your mind and seek out information like I am if you're not already there. Last, I talk again about resurrecting or bouncing back from the bottom. I tell y'all to use the two most important things in order to vibrate at a very high level, which is SPIRIT AND WILL. Using those, you'll bounce back like a bouncy ball, super high with a lot of power. You can do it, we all can. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. One hundred-tenth Episode released on 04/02/2021. Happy Friday UG fam! Late night drop for y'all. This week was a productive but busy week for me and I really was running off fumes last night so I had to call it an early night. Anyways, just recorded this on a Friday night but I'm telling you I came with some intention and passion on this episode. I really hope you get a chance to listen to this episode and hear me out. First, I was blessed with another opportunity to tell my story on another awesome platform. So be on the lookout for that next week, which I'll repost on my Instagram. And that was really what my first topic hits on. Tell your story! If you get the chance, you should. Especially if others can learn from it or be impacted. It's okay if your story isn't finished cause we are all still writing ours and have more chapters to go. Second, I talk about y'all choosing to limit certain things in your life. It's okay to cut back, slow down, or completely remove things. We can try that out in our lives if it's helping us in the personal growth department. You need to do it for YOU though, that's the biggest lesson. I'm telling you, your life can still be very enjoyable even while limiting. Last, I talk about hunger and pain. That's really what's been driving me my entire life and still driving me this year. I've experience my fair share and I know y'all out there have too. We all do. I tell you to push back and KEEP PUSHING. Don't let life push you around, push back. You'll be so glad you did when you look back and be way more appreciative of the journey. One hundred-ninth Episode released on 03/29/2021. Happy Monday UG fam! Man, the weather was great for parts of the weekend here in Portland. I definitely got out and took advantage of it, and it was nice to see so many people out (even if we're all still in masks). It felt pretty normal for a change just seeing the crowds of people laughing, eating, drinking, having a good time etc. On todays episode I first touch on if y'all are selling your soul. I feel like a lot of people in life may be doing things they don't necessary like or believe in because it's all they know or it's what they are used to doing. My question is though, are you living your true purpose. If not and you're doing the same thing over in over in a cycle. Please find a way to start small changes to align you more in your purpose which will ultimately pull you out of your soul crusher. Second, I talk about having the approach of being worthy to receive whatever it is you want. You have to deem yourself worthy in order to receive in this world. This is something you should be telling yourself often that you are indeed worthy enough. Last, I talk about R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Something we all should desire. People are going to respect you for what you DO and SHOW them not just say or tell them. This is an important lesson in life and I hope you use it to your advantage. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. Today's episode touches on the following topics: 1. Are you selling your soul? 2. Know you are worthy 3. One hundred-eighth Episode released on 03/26/2021. Happy Friday UG fam! Man I was off my normal flow today. Today felt extremely choppy and that's why I decided to title this episode this and speak on it within the episode. The prelude though, shoutout Gary Trent Jr. and Rodney Hood for their time as Blazers in Portland. As a sports guy, it's sad to see them go, but it was fitting with the way the day went. Okay, first up, I talk about opening your eyes to everything around you. I know we've hit on this before, but I want y'all present and to see it all. I was fortunate tonight to see an amazing display in the sky driving home. I thought it was aliens or a meteor or something but turned out to be debris from a Space X launch. Still very cool to see with my own eyes. Wouldn't of saw it if I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings. Okay, this one would be hard to miss, but the little ones, they are out there as well, you just have to look. Second, Choppiness. Yes, it sucks, the endless feeling of going up and down, sideways, and every way in between. It's how life goes at times. It happens in all sorts of areas and we feel it's affects. A lot of times it's all physiological and we do it to ourselves. Realize that you can get to the "gains" you want on the other side. That's why I tell you guys to keep pushing so much. S***, when I'm telling y'all I'm also telling myself. Don't sink, keep sailing. Lastly, I talk about the huge benefit of having someone else having belief in you and them expressing it to you. That's huge. Play off that momentum. Yes, I think believing in yourself is more important. But having a solid person give you that is a gift and you need to use its force. Go out and execute off that as a thank you and show that person exactly why they believed in you! Then go do the same with others, give them confidence so they can pursue grand endeavors as well. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. One-hundred-seventh Episode released on 03/22/2021. Happy Monday UG fam! Man, what a day. I felt like I traveled far and wide. I had a good day though, saw some signs throughout as you'll see in this episode. Hope this was another fantastic weekend for y'all. On today's episode, I touch on getting warmed up. Obviously, if y'all follow me, you see I'm in the gym sometimes twice a day. So warming up is essential. But, this is more general. I think we can warm up/study/prepare for many things in life. It's very vital that preparation becomes a pillar of your life. Take it from all the greats if not me. Second, I was fortunate to be around a group of beautiful smiling humans this weekend, but it got me thinking about all that time alone we have as well. We've got to utilize that alone time to build a solid healthy relationship with ourselves so we can experience that joy we feel around others by ourselves as well. Please value yourself. Last, I talk about seeing "signs" out and about in the world. I've been seeing several lately. When you see these signs, I call it an act on or slack off type of moment in your life. You can either act on it and take a risk or slack off and ignore it. I know what I'm choosing, what are you? Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. One-hundred-sixth Episode released on 03/19/2021. Happy Friday UG fam! Happy belated St. Patty's Day. Man, lately, life has been giving my opportunities to serve. I'm very grateful to be in a position where I can help others and spread positivity, information, and hope. I obviously want to expand my ability to do this on a greater level but I really feel like I'm starting to walk my path of mentorship, which is one of my main goals. That's what I touch on in this episode to start off. If you've got useful information, you can share it with those who need it. This can help you start mentorship. You can't ever be one if you don't help real people, in real life. Second, I had a close friend go through some tough ASS SHIT, that would take anyone to a dark place. BUT, I want to remind everyone, that no matter how bad it gets, Life goes on and it's linear. The downs are just part of that overall line, but I promise you Life goes on. The biggest support system you have is yourself and the thoughts you put in your own mind. AND YOU GOT CONTROL OF WHAT YOU PUT THERE. Last, take some damn notes, on this episode, and everything else in life you are learning and then REVIEW THEM lol. I swear it will make a world of difference if you actually review your notes in whatever it is you are taking notes on. I've discovered the power of this and I just want y'all to have that same advantage. Thank y'all for the continued support. What's crazy about this one, is I've never even met this dude in real life, yet the connection is genuine. I met Jon playing video games in college (Destiny on PS4 to be exact for my nerds out there) but we've continued to stay connected through social media. On this episode there is a ton of value packed inside Jon's journey, from a difficult upbringing being raised by a single mom, working hard trying to be the man of the house, to attending his dream school at The University of Alabama, to being in a fraternity on one of the nations most insane frat/sorority campuses, the highs and lows of being an entrepreneur, and ultimately having personal success in his career. This was a fun conversation and Jon really is an example of constantly growing. I was happy to have him on the show, I hope you guys listen to the wise words he puts out there for y'all. I had a great day today overall (Friday, recording day), and just was really fired up leaving my second gym session. On today's episode I tell you guys, that you've got to have a strategy for whatever it is you are trying to do and you need to stick to it. Second, I tell you guys when you have your VISION laid out in your head, you don't have to share it with others unless you want to. You don't need to feel obligated to do so. It's your vision, protect it! Lastly, I tell you guys you are the master of your own fate. We can map out a plan, stick to it, have unwavering faith, and operate in this energy flow that will reward us beyond our wildest dreams. Give it time, and you will reap the seeds you sow. Had a very productive day and also some great time with friends. I hope y'all are entering this week optimistic, spring is coming, and things are on the up and up. Today's episode I touch on providing value. I think being able to do this in some capacity in my value has done a lot for me. I want to continue working on that and help more people than I do currently. Second, I talk about having class, as this is important and people will notice it easily. I give an example from the All Star Game. Lastly, I talk about giving, which has already been talked about on the pod, but I'm reading a book by Tony Robbins that lays it out great. I think giving is so important for us as humans and it's even important to give when we don't have. That selfless act will come back around and reward us down the line. How does giving make you feel? One-hundred-second Episode released on 03/05/2021. Happy Friday UG fam! Man, another long week for me, I hope you guys had a good week out there. There was definitely a whole lot of ups and downs this week, ya feel me. This was another choice I had to make to sacrifice sleep to stay up and record this one for y'all. My schedule has been a little hectic as of late but we're here. First, on this episode, I talk about Zaya Wade as I saw some content with Michelle Obama interviewing her on Instagram. We should always pursue our true self even if that is difficult. I liked the way Ms. Obama laid it out and I echoed those lessons. I used to be more immature when I was younger and I was uncomfortable around the LGBTQ community because I didn't understand it. Now that I'm older, I do, and I definitely want to be a voice and supporting member. Check out Zaya Wade's story if you haven't, she is the trans-daughter of former NBA superstar Dwyane Wade. Second, do you feel that, you being busy, 24/7 all the time. Busy, busy, busy. Sometimes we're busy avoiding the things we actually need to do. Business is a plague on all of us. Take a step back for a brief window of time and do NOTHING. NOTHING at all. Just stop being so damn busy. We want fulfillment not a burned out state. Last, I talk about playing the long term again. There are several reason's why my brain is telling myself again, but I think it's just a good overall theme and lesson for any thing you're looking to attain in life. Patience, and play the long game/long term. You'll win in the end or have a higher likelihood and that will be a better end result for you. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. The weather turned out beautiful on (Sunday) in Portland and I definitely got out in the sun a little bit. When this goes live on Monday, it will be a whole new month. Welcome to March, officially the month that COVID last year started in. That's wild to think about. On this episode, I talk about burying yourself, which is what I've done lately. I've locked in and focused on what I'm really going after. While, it's not perfect, and I still get distracted and sidetracked, for the most part, I think burying yourself is critical for growth. If you don't have solid roots, you're gonna get pulled. One day you will reap the fruits of your labor. Second, I talk about the 40 percent rule by retired Navy Seal David Groggins. You've got 60% left in the tank when your mind tells you you're done. KEEP PUSHING. Test that will. Lastly, I talk about defining yourself. You should clearly define who you are, and if you're living your life outside of that, redefine yourself. It's okay to go back to the drawing board. You're doing it for you, and no one else. Obviously you need to keep those close to you in mind if it's going to affect them, but truly defining yourself allows you to be authentically your true self. That's where the fun begins. I'm very grateful for that growth and I hope to expand on it in other areas. Second, problems are everywhere for us all at all times. I just go through some general things to help you manage any of your problems. Lists are your friend and taking them on one at a time, usually the toughest first. Last, with all the problems in the world, sometimes the biggest one is actually inside of US. And we're afraid to be honest with ourselves and admit it. This episode is entirely inspired off of that. Obviously my emotions during this timeframe were heavily involved with that so I figured doing an episode from that was appropriate. I'm not going to lie y'all, I've been working like crazy and missing out on sleep so I wasn't going to do this episode but I just couldn't let my pops down like that. So here we are. First topic, I talk about how we can win no matter what deck we are dealt. We have to see a way to win and we have to believe. There are numerous examples throughout history of humans winning off shitty hands. GO BE ANOTHER ONE. Second, I talk about finding your footing when your stepping into a new world after a traumatic event in your life. So much will change and so fast. It can be hard to acclimate to your new world. But you will and when you do, you will start to feel refreshed. Last, I just talk to you guys about my WHY. Why I am here in my opinion. Why I do this podcast, why I push myself to my limits, why I give to others, why I am the way I am. It's my gift and my mission. I'm just a messenger at the end of it though, to help you guys get there as well. We should all be uplifting each other in this world because it's hard out there. Ninety-fifth Episode released on 02/08/2021. Happy Monday UG fam! I have been more than absent from the podcast over the past 2 weeks. I completely disconnected for a bit. I had to take a mental break from things. I thought I was solid, found out I wasn't, but was able to make a recovery due to our friend, time. That's essentially what this entire episode is about. Once again, I'm not really going into details because that is my own private life which I typically don't share a whole lot of on the pod. I try to keep it as general as possible. But I think there were some gems dropped in the episode. I talk about how healing is a process, not a quick thing, even if we think it's going to be. I also touch on excuses, and how limiting those is essential. Last, I tell you guys, it's okay to take a break. I did, 2 weeks from this. And it bothered me because of how I always preach consistency. But I realized taking care of myself comes first. Ninety-fourth Episode released on 01/22/2021. Happy Friday UG fam! Had a crazy week, that's for sure. Honestly started off the week on a high, hit rock bottom, and bounced back up. This entire episode is geared towards that entire process. I did have a good trip to San Diego though and enjoyed the 80-90 degree January weather. Joshua Tree National Park was amazing as well, if you ever get the chance check it out. My first topic today just talks about how we can't change what's already happened to us in life. We just move forward and keep fighting as best we can, when we can. When I took this trip to see my homie Ruben, I saw he's still fighting to get what he wants and I'm proud of that. Second, I talk about how I'm appreciative of all the hardships I have encountered in my life. They really have made me stronger and I continue to face them. I realize they will always come as that's just part of life. Last, I tell you guys to not let others dictate your happiness. That is a quick plan to misery and heartache. Take a gauge on where you pull your happiness from, you should have that pretty well thought out. Disclaimer, I am all good, I talked to people in my corner, I know where I stand and I'll be solid. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. Today's episode touches on the following topics: 1. You can't change the past but you control how you navigate the present 2. Being appreciative of all the hardships in life 3. Ninety-third Episode released on 01/15/2021. What's good UG FAM Happy Friday! I didn't release an episode on Monday because I wanted to watch the College Football Playoff National Championship game. While the game itself was a blowout and not great, I still had a good time watching it with people for sure. It also made for a good segway in order to bring on my next guest on the show, one of my lifelong brothers I've made due to college football. On this guest episode, I talk with my great friend and former Oregon walk on teammate Jason Sloan Jr. I'm very thankful for Jason's friendship and for being able to meet this guy during my time at Oregon. We were both walk-ons from the state of Oregon and connected extremely well. This guest episode is packed with a ton of value and it's definitely one you don't wanna miss. It is an HOUR LONG, but I'm telling you guys there are a lot of gems in here and Jason is one interesting person. Jason has always been very goal oriented and up to a lot of things. I want y'all to hear his story and make it to the end on what he currently does in his career field, really next level type stuff and is shaping the future. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. Ninety-second Episode released on 01/08/2021. Happy Friday UG fam! What a week it's been. 2021 is just warming up and I guess 2020 has been showing it the ropes. Obviously if you guys were watching any media on Wednesday, we had a day that will definitely go down in the history books for the United States. In this episode, I do touch briefly on that subject, but hopefully in a way that isn't too political. I talk about how we should fight with HONOR and the right SPIRIT in anything we are fighting for as humans. Second, I talk about thinking about more than just ourselves sometimes when making decisions. As difficult as that can be, it can really be a good concept to apply in our life. Last, in 2021 lets go out and continue to find those new hobbies and things to do. Don't let a tough time in human history stop you from trying out new and exciting things. There is still so much to do in this world. GO FIND IT. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. Today's episode touches on the following topics: 1. Fight with HONOR and in the right SPIRIT 2. Ninety-first Episode released on 01/04/2021. Let's go UG fam, a few days into 2021 and I'm sure we are all still riding the high of being in a new year filled with endless possibilities. I know we are all a lot more optimistic for what this year will bring as compared to last year. As much as the new year is about new things, sometimes it's about removing the things that aren't helping us on our path. In the first topic, I touch on what are we willing to give up in order to more directly align with our missions and main goals. Sometimes we don't even know we should be giving something up, so we have to discover that first. Second, I watched the Fiesta Bowl with Oregon vs Iowa State and it reminded me that young things take time to develop. Right now, all our new goals and plans are fairly young if they just started in this new year, so don't trip if they get off to shaky starts. Continue to build them solid foundations and over time things will hopefully get better. Last, I ask what your worth is? What do you tell yourself your worth is? I think this is important as far as confidence building and when we go out in the world. If we believe we are intelligent attractive human beings that get what we want out of life, then we are going to get those things and feel those ways. It's all about what you do upstairs in your mind. I've continued to learn this over the past few years. Don't become arrogant, but have FAITH in who you are this year! Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. Ninetieth Episode released on 01/02/2021. Happy New Year! Welcome to SZN 3. I hope you guys are feeling good about exiting 2020 and moving on to a new year. This year is going to have its own growing pains I'm sure, but I think we are going to enjoy it better than the last overall. At least that's what I'm hoping for. I hope y'all have set your goals for 2021 and are going to do the most to achieve them. Don't count yourself out, you can do it, whatever it is you want to achieve, grand or small. It all starts with a vision and your mindset. In this episode, I touch on 3 topics that I think will help you guys throughout your journey in 2021 to accomplish whatever goals you have set. First, I talk about not letting others steal or waste your time and how it still is our most precious asset. Let's utilize our time the right ways throughout the year. Second, I talk about everything not being set in stone. Just because it feels like it at times or things move slowly doesn't meant the magic isn't happening or that change isn't coming. Be patient, keep working, keep grinding, keep believing, hold the faith. IT WILL COME. Lastly, I talk about how nothing is just given, and everything is earned. We have to continue sharpening our swords and then use our skills to earn what we desire. As we enter this new chapter, focus on how bad you want the things you have in your mind. Tell yourself your reason WHY. Then put together a solid plan and take action. Keep that desire burning. Also, please take the time to write out your goals if you haven't done so already. Mine are written out on my iPhone. It doesn't matter where you have them, just that you have them and you review them often. Keep them with you. Hold yourself accountable. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. Eighty-ninth Episode released on 12/26/2020. Happy Holidays UG fam! I worked on Christmas so I ended up recording and releasing this episode the day after. I hope you guys all had an amazing Christmas with your family and loved ones. This episode is a quick one and I think the audio turned out a little quiet just FYI. I sort of ramble on some of it haha but I went ahead and just went with it. I think there was some solid presents for you guys throughout the episode. First, I guy I've really been following his life and story, gave me the inspiration for the first topic. Never give up. David Sabastian posted some quality inspiration on his IG story (as he usually does). His message was simple. NEVER GIVE UP. So I'm just echoing that to you guys. Please don't give up. If you want something, just continue no matter the struggles. Second, I talk about finding solid connections in life. We all want that. If we get them, just appreciate their added value to your life. Not all connections are going to be permanent so just keep that in the back of your mind. Last, FAMILY. Enjoy your time with them. It's a good time during the holidays to rejuvenate with close family and take that positive energy into the next year. You get together and basically talk about the entire year and what everyone's been up to. If you don't have interesting things to say about your year and yourself, make it a goal next year to really be the most interesting person at the family Christmas get together. Eighty-eighth Episode released on 12/21/2020. Happy Monday. The light was beaming this morning, felt good, but it went away real quick. This episode I touch on learning to not beat yourself up. We all got so much to do in our busy lives and we can't always do life to the maximum. That's okay, don't be too hard on yourself. I just keep chipping away, but I do know I've got so much more chipping away to do. Second, I helped a close friend move over the weekend and I just think we should all lend a helping hand because you never know when you're going to need the favor in return. Plus, you may just good copious amounts of pizza and beer if they are a good friend. Congrats to my guy on closing on his first home. Last, I decided this year, I'm not going to go out and spend much money on gifts. There's plenty of reasons for this and I'm going to keep my why's personal. But the point was, just because most people buy gifts doesn't mean you are obligated too. I don't want to be a grinch of Christmas, but this was a hard year for everybody. I think spending time with important people will be a better gift anyways. But if you want to gift, GIFT AWAY I got no issues and actually love gifting things. Just a thing I'm doing this year. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. Eighty-seventh Episode released on 12/18/2020. Happy Friday UG fam! A week before Christmas 2020. Wow this year has really been crazy. Me recording this episode at 12:38am is so 2020 and fitting for the title of this pod episode. On this episode, I talk about how we should always be learners and never too big or have too much pride to invest in learning more. There are super elite successful people who still take action on learning. It's a lifelong thing. Second, I talk about a new life hacking habit I've been developing called the Maui effect. Please try it out. I also touch on how crazy I am for talking to myself in the mirror. Try that out to if you dare. Lastly, I just talk about how the Christmas spirit meter has been low this year, but I want to remind you guys of why Christmas is so magical and why us adults should continue that. It's for the kids and how they light up with the magic of Christmas. Don't forget that, because that was once probably you depending on your circumstances. And if that wasn't you, then you best believe you want to be able to do that for your kids if you have them. Even if you don't have kids, you probably will one day, so start developing that ability now. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. Eighty-sixth Episode released on 12/14/2020. Happy Monday UG fam! Hope another terrific weekend happened for y'all and I want y'all to have another good week. Let's not forget to start reflecting on our 2020. What happened, what was good, what was bad? On this episode, I revisit a couple themes or topics already mentioned on the pod before. But they are always important. First, I talk about productivity and sort of a formula I use to try to enhance my own productivity. What works for me may not work for others, but I think it's a pretty solid method. I didn't create it, but I found it and I used it throughout 2020. Second, I hit on a book I am currently reading called Tiny Habits. We revisit, baby steps which I've said before. I suggest you check this book out, I will leave the link to it below, but it has an amazing equation for creating new behaviors. Last, I tell you guys to not take NO for an answer. Obviously certain situations will warrant this, use your brain, but for the msot part let's be stubborn and keep finding ways to turn NO's into Yes's. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. Eighty-fifth Episode released on 12/11/2020. Happy Friday y'all. Another weekend is here. We are wrapping up 2020, haha get it. Man I haven't felt any holiday spirit this year, I don't know about y'all but it's just been so different with everything happening in the world. This episode, I was really thinking about all the great people I look to in life, some I know personally, some I don't, yet they all inspire me and I take bits and pieces from them. In the first topic I talk about how we need to create our own authentic waves though, because we just can't be identical to someone else. Second, I remind you guys to shake things up from time to time. In order to find solutions, sometimes we have to do things differently than we normally would. Lastly, I just want you guys to start reflecting on your 2020. I think the reason why I want y'all to start now, is because this year was literally JAM PACKED full of things that happened. More than your typical year, so there is going to be a lot to unload and process. I want y'all to also start thinking towards the near and distant future to though. At least that's what I am doing. Today's episode was posted a little late cause I was working on other content and I wasn't around my laptop until later in the day. Still nonetheless here we are and I had a personal friend reach out for me to discuss topic #1 on this one. I touch on understanding and dealing with hate, which I think a lot of us go through, whether we admit it or not. We always feel like we got people watching us and possibly hating on what we are up to. Second, I go into posting on social media what we want to and take those second guessing moments of not posting and be able to reanalyze them and see if we should really be posting that content. Cause we WANT TO. Don't post just because but if you have any valid reasons that make sense in your head. Go for it. and ignore what people think, listen to yourself. Lastly, I started off Sunday (when I recorded) in a bad mood, and we're all going to have shitty days. Can we flip them to positive ones easily? I don't know if we ALWAYS CAN but we sure can try. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. Eighty-third Episode released on 12/04/2020. Happy Friday y'all. We're back, after a long absence. It really felt like forever since I had created a new episode. I was a bit sporadic on this episode so I apologize in advance. I hope you guys all had a great modified Thanksgiving. I was feeling a tad lazy after eating so much PIE lol. Welcome to December and supposedly the best time of year, although I know with everything this year it's a bleak outlook on the end of the year. This episode I talk about how saying less can sometimes be in our favor. We don't always need to be the center of attention or the loudest in the room. In fact, some people who are great leaders, are not even loud speakers. Leading doesn't always mean what most think. Second, I talk about looking out for others in certain situations in general. Even if people are stubborn, if we have the wisdom, we should pass it on and try to help them make the right decision. Last, here is where I went a little haywire, I just talk about the grind, the balance of work and side hustles and how it's all a process, but usually work and side hustles go hand in hand because we are living out our lives doing both. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way.
