Episode: 133 Eric Alvarez Join your hosts, David Pere and Alex Felice, with guest Eric Alvarez as they talk about prudence and frugality, what investing is about, how real estate is less liquid, and the right mindset and savings that gets a young soldier into real estate passive investing the right way. As Eric and the hosts exchange plans and experiences, we'll get to hear about what they think essentially equips a young go-getter to be ahead of his years and his goals. For them, relationships, network, and market are things that no one should let go of even if their eyes are on other several opportunities. In the military, Eric believes that the great opportunity of getting paid, no matter what, should also mean an opportunity for young service members like him to take risks and invest. Of course –with a balanced risk-tolerance. Let's catch more of what they have to say by tuning in to the episode. One-hundred-third Episode released on 03/08/2021. Happy Monday UG fam! Had a short weekend, but a solid Sunday. The NBA All Star game was today and it was cool to see it even though I thought they should of waited till the end of the season to do it. Had a very productive day and also some great time with friends. I hope y'all are entering this week optimistic, spring is coming, and things are on the up and up. Today's episode I touch on providing value. I think being able to do this in some capacity in my value has done a lot for me. I want to continue working on that and help more people than I do currently. Second, I talk about having class, as this is important and people will notice it easily. I give an example from the All Star Game. Lastly, I talk about giving, which has already been talked about on the pod, but I'm reading a book by Tony Robbins that lays it out great. I think giving is so important for us as humans and it's even important to give when we don't have. That selfless act will come back around and reward us down the line. How does giving make you feel? Think about that and let it sit on you. Thank y'all for the continued support. Still thrilled to be bringing you more content and I appreciate any and all feedback. Continuing to use my voice to spread growth to the world in my own way. Today's episode touches on the following topics: 1. Find a way to provide value 2. Always have class 3. In order to get, you have to give Tony Robbins book Money Master the Game: https://www.amazon.com/MONEY-Master-Game-Financial-Freedom/dp/1476757860 #BlackLivesMatter Thank you and I'll catch you later. Most people believe that they have to live with their phobias and fears for the rest of their lives. But the truth is you can eliminate it fast and don’t have to deal with it forever. Whether it be the fear of spiders, the fear of public speaking, or the fear of trusting people, our guest Adam Cox or aka the Phobia Guru can surely help you! In today’s episode of the Fire In The Belly Podcast, Adam shares to Mighty Pete stories on how he found his passion as well as some strategies to help you find yours too. He didn’t think that he’d be able to position himself as one of the experts in the field. Listen now so you can learn more about eliminating phobias, NLP, the 2 basic mindsets (and what you should be having), the acceptance of failure as part of life, and many more interesting kinds of stuff. KEY TAKEAWAYS When asked by Mighty Pete what fire in the belly means for Adam. He answered: You feel your fire in the belly is at work when all the engines inside your body are firing up to one direction, ignited by motivation, determination, and action. The ‘fake it till you make it’ mantra works. When Adam applied for jobs, he exaggerated everything. He has the knowledge, yes. But normally, those positions would be given to someone with more experience. Since he is confident and always eager to learn, it was easy for him to adjust to any work and environment. Having a growth mindset (instead of a fixed mindset) can make you get the most out of everything. You can solve any problems efficiently, seize any opportunity without hesitation, and come back easily from any failure. Don’t be afraid to set big goals. There is a possibility you’ll fail, no doubt in that. But the possibility too that you’ll learn something from the experience and come out stronger should also be noted. Failures and mistakes are parts of life. Always be confident in any decision you make. Follow your passion and leap. Beware of analysis paralysis. Sometimes, it’s best to just do it. We don’t let doubts and fear cloud our mind when we just start taking action. It’s also proven too that we learn more in practice than in theory. BEST MOMENTS “If I could change how I was thinking, then that could change how I was feeling.” “When the world collides with your dreams, you have to learn how to reconcile it somehow.” “If you’re not happy with something, change it.” “Bet on yourself, you might end up winning.” “Without fear, we would be reckless. We get complacent, and that’s not good.” VALUABLE RESOURCES Here are the books mentioned by Adam Cox in the episode: Principles of Persuasion by Charles Chialdini - https://www.influenceatwork.com/principles-of-persuasion/ Mindset: The New Psychology of Success by Carol Dweck - https://www.amazon.com/Mindset-Psychology-Carol-S-Dweck/dp/0345472322 Money Master the Game: 7 Simple Steps to Financial Freedom by Tony Robbins - https://www.amazon.com/MONEY-Master-Game-Financial-Freedom/dp/1476757860 Subscribe to Fire In The Belly Podcast on Apple Podcasts (https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/fire-in-the-belly/id1499375061)! In this episode, I’m talking with Rhea Whitney, who is a wedding and portrait photographer for the chic and modern creative and couple. She’s also super passionate about helping other creatives and photographers thrive in their entrepreneurial journies as she’s a vet in the game...Rhea has been a photographer for 8 years and full time for the last 4! I love how she has been able to grow her business during that time and utilize her gifts and talents to help educate others. In May of 2019, Rhea launched a digital course for rising photographers called “From Hobbyist to Pro” teaching the keys to building a solid photography business foundation and social media marketing strategies. It is such a pleasure to watch her journey and I’m blessed to know her! I enjoyed getting into her journey and discussing some of the obstacles that she has had to overcome...all with GRACE and GRATITUDE. During this episode, Rhea discussed: How she went from being an auditor at a non-profit organization to running a thriving full-time photography and coaching business Why it’s imperative to stay true to who you are and what you’re passionate about as a creative Specific ways that she pushes through fear and doubt as it arises along the way Why it’s important to give yourself grace through it all How she had to surrender to God’s will and be obedient The importance of thinking about your thoughts And so much more! Tune in now to hear how Rhea took a leap of faith and the impact that it has made in her life and the lives of others. Gemeinsam gelingt uns dies bestimmt! Ich zähl auf Dich. Alles Gute, Dein Paul Misar.
