Welcome to the latest PRmoment podcast. Today we're chatting to 2 of The PRmoment Awards jury chairs Alison Clarke and Michael Murphy to get a chairs perspective on the jury day.The PRmoment Awards have 5 judging streams incorporating 6 juries across one day. So there are 30 odd jury sessions, of about an hour across 5 different judging streams. Each stream has an experienced chair to make sure everyone behaves and on today's show we have 3 of the 5 chairs. Me, Alison Clarke and Michael Murphy. As a chair it's an exhausting day. At the end of it I need to open a cold beer and go and sit in a dark room! But that need for counselling aside, it always seems to me that as chairs we have some wonderful insight from the juries that we then don't share with anyone. And today we're going to put that right with a PRmoment Podcast on "The Chairs' Perspective."Clearly we can't talk about who won or give away any campaign specifics because some of that detail is confidential but standby for a whole bunch of insight from inside the PRmoment Award juries. Thanks so much to the PRmoment Podcast sponsors the PRCA.The PRmoment Awards Manchester sold have sold out but you can still register for the waiting list. The PRmoment Awards in London still have some tickets available. But time is short. The event is on Thursday March 27th in London. The Manchester awards are a week later.Michael and Alison, welcome to the show. Here is a summary of what Alison, Michael and PRmoment founder Ben Smith discussed: 2 mins Michael and Alison explain what the PRmoment jury process is.7 mins How do Michael and Alison like to chair the sessions? It seems the chairs have their own chairing styles - there's no one best way of doing it!11 mins The chairs agree that passions and arguments can run high amongst the judges.12 mins Michael and Alison compare the type of work coming out of the consumer agencies, compared to the B2B and tech agencies17 mins A discussion about whether PR charging enough for its work19 mins How did the type of work coming out of big agencies and small agencies compare?20 mins Alison and Michael reflect on a really strong year in Manchester and The North this year.22 mins For people entering the PRmoment Awards in 2026 - what advice would Alison and Michael give?

Ep 28---Should women have to sacrifice their careers for parenthood or to achieve physical and mental wellness? This is the topic of conversation in today's episode as I sit down with a good friend of mine, Alison Clarke. Alison reveals how she conquered her own health and fertility struggles by making some major and minor changes in her lifestyle. We talk about some of these lifestyle changes and how they made a big difference in her own journey to eventually getting pregnant and becoming a mum for the first time. DoTerra and the power of essential oils comes into focus as Alison tells us the difference between DoTerra's products versus other brands of essential oils. We talk about the importance of education when it comes to using oils and why Alison created a holistic program called the Life Switch Co with the aim of empowering women to make positive changes in their own lifestyles. The challenges women face in the workplace when dealing with fertility issues and the importance of hormonal health also comes up in conversation. This leads us onto the transformative workshops, support, and guidance provided by her new venture, Fembition, and how the program is designed to optimize fertility and manage stress in relation to work.We finish on the power of community and support, and the profound connection between emotional and physical well-being.Check out the accompanying blog post by visiting: (https://www.voicesofboyle.com/alisonclarke/)Join us on:( Facebook ) ( Instagram ) You can support the Voices of Boyle Podcast by clicking here. July 2, 1957. At the annual Tupperware jubilee in Florida, company VP Brownie Wise is admiring her handiwork. 1,200 people have convened on her private island for a luau—complete with live lobsters, orchid leis and prizes for Tupperware's top sellers. Most of the people here owe their job to her. That's because Brownie perfected a sales strategy that has made the innovative plastic product famous. Not to mention a cash cow. She's famous, too: Fortune and CBS News have hailed her as a savvy corporate leader. But tonight, at this fabulous celebration of the company's glittering success, storm clouds are gathering. How did a single mom from Michigan turn a simple household product into a juggernaut? And how did all go wrong? Special thanks to our guests: Alison Clarke, design history professor at University of Applied Arts - Vienna and author of Tupperware: The Promise of Plastic in 1950s America; and Bob Kealing, author of Life of the Party: The Remarkable Story of How Brownie Wise Built, and Lost, a Tupperware Party Empire. Born in London, Calton came to Kingston, Jamaica, at the age of five, There he learned the Jamaican style made popular by Eric Monty Morris and Bob Marley, and the R & B from the likes of Sam Cooke, CALTON COFFIE “Bad Boy Moves Outside The Circle” New York- June 17, 2009- Like a newly minted Rolls Royce, the Delroy Wilson single “Rain from The Skies” rolls of the assembly line and into the hands of a few selected jocks. Coffie, a Grammy winner and the voice behind Fox TV show's “Cops,” is still Reggae's most played vocalist. He is applying his personal touch to several Delroy Wilson tunes, the proceeds of which will go to the latter's family. The “title track … was a number one hit in almost every European territory,” said the singer. “Sweat (a La La La La Long)” even broke the records of heavyweights, Michael Jackson, The Beatles and Elvis Presley. His “Bad Boys” Grammy win and subsequent nomination for “Reggae Dancer” undoubtedly resulted from his multiple roles as writer, co-writer, composer and lead vocalist. One that has brought fruition to the highly acclaimed albums, “A Hot Cup of Calton Coffie” and “Scandal”. After his explosive international music presence, countless gold and platinum albums, four stars from Billboard as a composer, lead vocalist on several Box Office hits and internationally syndicated television and a much too lengthy respite that has hardly quelled the hunger of his fans; Calton Coffie, “The Original Bad Boy” is stepping out again. On Sept. 10th 2010 Calton was inducted in REGGAE WALK OF FAME.
