As the beat goes on, I found myself lucky enough to sit down with Brian McCarty, and visit with him about his life and his journey as a musician. It's Episode No. 123, and this one was a treat. Please join me and Brian as we talk about his roles in The Matchsellers, Greg Blake & Hometown, plus his duo setup. We also poked around at family and growing up, the pursuit of dreams, happiness, and the appropriate life path to walk. We also took a peek at a few of his favorite records, which were these:Black Sabbath's Paranoid (1970)Newgrass Revival (s/t), (1972)Dead Milkmen's Big Lizard in My Backyard (1985)Del & the Boys (2001), Del McCoury Band I feel very grateful to have had this conversation with Brian, and to have gotten this podcast to the place it has come to live. Thank you to those of you that support it, and best of luck to Brian in his future endeavors. EPISODE 82 | Reptiles of the Mind - The Reptilian Conspiracy (Big 'Uns 7) The conspirasphere thrives on the idea that things are not what they seem to be on the surface. And for some, the very people around us are not what they seem. Why, they might not even be human, at all. Some of the supposed “people” you see are actually shapeshifting aliens, possibly from somewhere in Orion, maybe from inside the hollow earth. In their true form, they are humanoid reptiles, and they thrive on pain and suffering. These loathsome creatures are either part of an ongoing, yet secret, struggle for control of our world, or they have already taken control of the reins and are farming us for their own purposes. You can see proof of this in some video footage where famous people's eyes temporarily look like a lizard's before snapping back to normal. Yes, as we begin the fourth year of Conspiracy Clearinghouse, we will finally take a look at the Reptilian conspiracy theory, which was actually the inspiration for starting this podcast in the first place, but it was just too big and too weird to tackle back in 2020. You could argue that the previous 81 episodes have been preparing us for this one. This is our third anniversary episode! Like what we do? Joe Genaro is a musician and songwriter, best known for the punk rock group The Dead Milkmen. The Dead Milkmen formed in 1983, evolving out of a home-recording project with a mythological back story that Genaro had begun in 1979. The members of the group regularly employed pseudonyms, and Genaro most frequently called himself "Joe Jack Talcum" (stemming from the character of Jack Talcum that Genaro had imagined as the leader of the band in their mythology) in the context of the group, although he also used the pseudonyms "Butterfly Fairweather" and "Jasper Thread" on certain records. The band's debut LP, Big Lizard in My Backyard was released in 1985, and their initial twelve-year career saw some college radio and MTV success, notably surrounding singles "Bitchin' Camaro" (1986) and "Punk Rock Girl" (1988). Genaro acted as the group's guitarist, co-lead vocalist and co-songwriter, and occasionally played keyboards and piano. The band originally disbanded in 1995 but have reunited since.

Tug is phoning it in this week (in every imaginable way) but it hasn't effected the quality of analysis at all, as you can probably tell from the title. None of that matters this week, though, because Jack Miller is a winner again and when that happens, 'the world seems a happier place', as Boris notes. That's just one inane observation among many as the boys break down happenings at Motegi, George's letter, Rossi's thoughts for the week and Borrie's poem plus some special announcements and heaps more on the Greatest Motorcycling Podcast In The World. Get it in your ears now. The Following is a Public Service Announcement: None of this – and we mean none of this, including the yelling, the crying, the cussing, the finger-pointing, the nappy-soiling, the bitch-slapping, and gold medal prosciutto-making – would be possible without the support of our brilliant sponsors. We demand and insist you support them because they support us. Don't make us come to your house with pipes and knives and force you to test-ride their bikes and buy their products. We will. We have no morals and jail only scares one of us, but Freido will be deported before he spends any time in Long Bay. Click on the bloody links. Please. Savic Motorcycles (https://www.savicmotorcycles.com/) – We couldn't be prouder than to have the support of Australia's own high-performance electric motorcycle manufacturer which is set to revolutionise e-motorcycles worldwide, while saving polar bears, low-lying countries, and every tree on earth from climate catastrophe. Won't do much for deserts, but. They're probably gonna stay deserts. If you can't get one of the gorgeous bikes, the least you could do is buy some of the gear – it would be un-Australian of you not to. Honda Australia (https://motorcycles.honda.com.au/en) – From the very first superbike, the incredible Honda 750-4, Honda has been synonymous with speed. Racing is in its DNA, and HRC is the team everyone wants to be in. Producing some of the best-engineered bikes on earth, and boasting the services of multiple-world champion, Marc Marquez (now no longer blind, apparently), these are certainly the handlebars you wanna try hanging onto. Made in Germany (https://www.mig.bike/) – For the very finest in riding gear, and the official Australian distributor of Held Biker Fashion – since 1946, Daytona boots, IXS and Pinlock. SC-Project Oceania (https://sc-project.com.au/) – There are no better motorcycle exhausts on this earth. None. The sexiest aural sex-cannons, from the world's largest and finest bike-exhaust manufacturer, can and must be yours. Do it. It is the song of our people. And you must play that song every time you ride. It's in the rules. Suzuki Australia (https://www.suzukimotorcycles.com.au/) – Creators of truly legendary motorcycle, who also do a great job keeping Mir and Rins off the streets and on the MotoGP racetrack where they belong. If you don't test-ride Suzuki motorcycles at least once a week, you'll never get a pretty girlfriend. Triumph Australia (https://www.triumphmotorcycles.com.au/) – The Empire awaits your pleasure. Booking a test-ride on any of the glorious English missiles is easier than getting stabbed by a Chelsea soccer hooligan, and until you've ridden a Rocket 3, you have not actually ridden anything. Aprilia Australia (https://www.aprilia.com/au_EN/) – these magnificent bastards build bikes so good, their MotoGP efforts are better than the sweating bastards, The Munted Asparagus and Rev Bomb Vinales, will ever be. Go ride one of its masterpieces. Do it this weekend. Moto Guzzi Australia (https://www.motoguzzi.com/au_EN/) – As Italian as espresso, and as rewarding and fun to ride as that stolen horse you knocked off so you can pay the Sicilian bloke with the pretty daughter not to kill you. Every person has to own a Moto Guzzi once in their life. Harley-Davidson Australia (https://www.harley-davidson.com/au/en/index.html) – The world's oldest, toughest, and most iconic marque has re-vamped, re-charged, and re-energised itself with a new engine and new models, which you just have to ride to believe. The legendary bikes are still there (No, Slim, they stopped making Knuckles a while back), but Harley is carving a whole new chapter in its storied history with the Pan America and the Sportster S. Ride and believe.

90. Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002)Hello Groovy Humans, baby, yeah! It's been a minute since we kicked around a crummy movie, so Allison suggested Austin Powers in Goldmember from 2002! This movie needed more Beyonce, more Mini Me, more Michael Caine, and WAY LESS Fat Bastard. Also: Hunter conflates Mike Myers with Michael Myers, sings the hit song “Gold Dick” by KC and the Sunshine Band, and we suggest several fixes for this lackluster threequel. Plus: that so-called Godzilla looks like the Big Lizard from that Dead Milkmen album cover.

So he started swinging his leg over the tops of chairs to sit down. Look this up on YouTube if you haven't seen it. There's a hilarious viral compilation video. Frakes' back injury is also the reason for the famous “Riker Lean.” Frakes also thought it would be a hilarious and cocky thing for his character to do, and when no one called him out on it, he continued to do it. In his words: "That started in Ten Forward because the backs of the chairs were so low, it was easy. And then I thought, this is really a hotdog, @$$hole thing to do. Nobody's going to let me do this. And then nobody stopped me! It's such a cocky, unattractive, kind of bad cowboy move… Whoever did the YouTube compilation of Riker sits down, it went viral and was even more embarrassing, and made me strangely even more proud."Strange New Worlds premieres on Paramount Plus on May 5th!!The redshirts in this episode have indeed been featured in a well-circulated meme but Sarah is correct when she points out that several of the “red shirts” in this episode are wearing yellow. Here's a link to the meme: https://ifunny.co/meme/kirk-spock-mccoy-and-ensign-ricky-are-beaming-down-to-x6x7hHnu5According to Memory Alpha, a fairly comprehensive online Star Trek wiki, the Metron at the end of the episode was played by Carole Shelyne and voiced by Vic Perrin. I couldn't confirm that the Metron on the ship intercom's is also voiced by Perrin so that remains an unanswered question. From Wikipedia's entry on the Prime Directive: “The first filmed reference to the Prime Directive occurs in the first season TOS episode "The Return of the Archons" (1966), when Spock begins to caution Captain Kirk of the starship Enterprise when he proposes to destroy a computer controlling an entire civilization.”The aliens I couldn't think of, who brokered peace between humans and Klingons were the Organians. The treaty is called the Treaty of Organia or the Organian Peace Treaty. The episode is TOS 1:27, “Errand of Mercy.”The book Grace recommends is The Age of Miracles by Karen Thompson Walker
