RB Leipzig sits 2nd in the Bundesliga after a massive 3-1 win over VfB Stuttgart, and host Justin Crozer is here to break it all down. This episode gives you the full tactical recap of how Leipzig's clinical efficiency (9 shots on target, 2.2 xG) dismantled Stuttgart's "sterile" possession-based game (57% possession, 4 shots on target). We go deep on the stats that mattered, moving beyond the scoreline to show why Ole Werner's game plan was a success. We then zoom in for our first "Player Watch" 1-v-1 segment: a 90-minute duel between Stuttgart's heroic goalkeeper, Alexander Nübel (7 saves, 3.2 PSxG faced), and RBL's patient executioner, Rômulo. Justin analyzes the data from Rômulo's 4 shots, including the "unsaveable" 0.95 PSxG goal that finally broke Nübel's resistance and sealed the win.Next, we look ahead to the massive Matchweek 10 clash as RB Leipzig travels to face 6th-place TSG Hoffenheim. This preview is centered on the single biggest tactical factor: Hoffenheim's catastrophic injury crisis. With at least five key defenders out, we analyze how Christian Ilzer's side will be forced to line up in a makeshift 3-5-1-1 (or 5-3-2) and how their real threat comes from their goal-scoring midfield runners like Wouter Burger and Grischa Prömel. We map out Leipzig's game plan to exploit this: relentlessly attack the flanks and use a high press to punish their patchwork backline. Our second "Player Watch" segment previews the "chaos vs. calm" battle between Hoffenheim's high-energy (but raw-finishing) young striker, Fisnik Asllani, and our reliable veteran shot-stopper, Péter Gulácsi. We round out the show with the RBL Talk segment by answering your listener questions and comments featuring Neil on Facebook and Trolly on Instagram.Do you want to get involved with the show like the people above? In this episode of RBL Talk, we start with the latest news from RB Leipzig, including a full injury update and how Ole Werner might rotate the squad ahead of a busy stretch. With a DFB Pokal match coming up, squad depth and fitness are front of mind — we go through who's back in contention, who remains out, and how those decisions could shape the next couple of games as Leipzig aim to maintain momentum across competitions. We then break down the incredible 6–0 away win over FC Augsburg — one of Leipzig's most dominant performances under Ole Werner so far. The team's 4-3-3 shape clicked perfectly, with aggressive pressing, quick transitions, and ruthless efficiency in front of goal. We highlight how the vertical passing lanes and wide overloads consistently dismantled Augsburg's defensive block, and how the team's balance between midfield control and attacking variety continues to improve week by week. Our player watch segment focuses on Christoph Baumgartner for Leipzig and Fabian Rieder for Augsburg. Baumgartner's intelligent positioning, sharp off-ball movement, and ability to connect the front three made him a standout, while Rieder struggled to impose himself under constant Leipzig pressure. We compare their numbers and tactical influence, looking at how each fit into their team's system and who ultimately won the midfield battle. Finally, we look ahead to Tuesday night's DFB Pokal Round of 32 clash away to Energie Cottbus. Leipzig will be heavy favorites, but Ole Werner will need to balance rotation with respect for a motivated lower-league opponent. We preview the key matchup between Tolcay Cigerci — Cottbus' creative hub — and Ezechiel Banzuzi, whose energy and drive could define Leipzig's midfield control. The episode wraps up with listener questions from the RBL Talk community — Anonymus via speakpipe and RBL Trolly via X on tactics, player form, and expectations heading into the Pokal tie.Do you want to get involved with the show like the people above? In this week's episode of RBL Talk, we take a heartfelt look back at an emotional moment in club history — the farewell of Yussuf Poulsen, a true RB Leipzig legend. After years of loyal service, goals, and memories, Poulsen received a beautiful send-off from the Red Bull Arena faithful. We reflect on his impact both on and off the pitch, what he's meant to the club since its early days in the lower leagues, and why many of us still feel he should've had his farewell moment wearing the RBL badge one last time. From his debut in the 3. Liga to Champions League nights, this segment is all about gratitude and legacy. We then shift into the latest RB Leipzig news, including a full injury and suspension update, with who's back in training and who's still sidelined ahead of the trip to Augsburg. Expect detailed notes on current squad fitness, potential rotations, and how Ole Werner's options are shaping up for the coming fixtures. Our match review dives deep into the 2-1 home win over Hamburger SV — a game that tested Leipzig's composure but ultimately showed their attacking flexibility. We analyze the tactical setup, the decisive moments that tilted the game, and what this win means for Leipzig's rhythm in the Bundesliga campaign. In our Player Watch segment, we spotlight two individuals who shaped the contest:Rômulo, who continues to show rapid growth under Ole Werner, combining defensive composure with confidence in possession.Luka Vušković for HSV, who impressed with his aerial dominance and positional reading despite being on the losing side.We break down how both players influenced their teams' approaches, where each excelled, and how their duel could be a preview of future Bundesliga battles. Then we look ahead to next weekend's away trip to FC Augsburg — a tricky test for Leipzig against a side known for compact defending and fast transitions. While Matt is on assignment looking for VfB's next big steal from Belgium, Ted and Travis take a break from the usual program and break this week's episode into four topics - the Frauen's meteoric rise to the second tier, VfBII's surviving in the third tier, VfB's win that kept RBL out of Europe for the first time in that club's history (!), and of course, the final match in all of Germany, the Pokal final versus the city that apparently doesn't exist. As nervous as they are, the guys look at the history between these two clubs and the advantages both sides bring into this one and why they're hoping history from almost three decades ago repeats itself!

Careful To Not Weaponize Reality-Based Leadership With Your Team

No Ego

This week's episode is all about a common pattern that happens when people are really excited about Reality-Based Leadership, or they just learned some of our new techniques after a session. They accidentally begin weaponizing Reality-Based Leadership, and the ideas. We get it, you're excited about some new approaches and really looking forward to trying to shift a place your team has been stuck, or an individual has been stuck for a long time. What often happens, is people grab the harshest part of the message and use it on the person that's running away from them the fastest, and then the content doesn't work. This is one example of many that are talked about in this week's podcast of where the loving part of Reality-Based Leadership gets weaponized and used for evil. So today's episode, Cy and Alex discuss some of the ways that great techniques that can work most of the time, get used in a way that's harsh and actually backfires for people that are excited about Reality-Based Leadership. This can affect even the most seasoned practitioners of our content and tools, so this is a great reminder. In fact every two years just like what sparked this episode, there's usually an example that comes through that someone grabbed a deeper part of the philosophy and used that first in their very next meeting after a session, and we hear reports that it backfired, then the groups a little bit turned off from RBL. This podcast is designed to help those who may have experienced setbacks, offering a chance to reset, as well as those eager to maintain the momentum they've built with their teams. It's all about preventing the misuse of the tools, practices, and techniques of Reality-Based Leadership, while ensuring we focus on loving people up so we can call people up to greatness.

Ever thought that doing Reality-Based Leadership might take the humanness out of work? What Alex and Cy cover in this session is that RBL actually brings the true humanness back to work. We don't try to bring our whole self to work but instead, we invite you to bring your most evolved self to work. This means that we're not trying to take the humanness out of work we're trying to limit the effect of the human condition on us doing our best work, or at least the lack of the human condition that leads to drama. So in this episode, Alex and Cy dive deep into how to bring your most evolved self to work. We discuss a great story about what happens when the judgments are reduced, and how humans create things in the world with less judgment. Also, we give you practical tips to ensure that people are finally able to bring their most authentic, evolved self to the workplace to do their best work in a highly engaged way. We can't wait to hear your feedback from this episode and make sure to subscribe and share with others to have a conversation about bringing the humanness back to work through Reality-Based Leadership.
