What happens when a Black NFL analyst and an Israeli activist sit down to have uncomfortable conversations about Judaism and antisemitism? Check out this episode of Habits and Hustle to find out. I am joined by Emmanuel Acho and Noah Tishby to discuss their New York Times bestselling book "Uncomfortable Conversations with a Jew." We delve into challenging topics like the perception of Jewish people in America, the rise of antisemitism, and the complexities of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We also discuss that having open, honest dialogue - even when uncomfortable - is crucial for building understanding between different communities. Emmanuel Acho is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Boy and the New York Times bestseller Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man. He is the host/producer of the Emmy Award–winning YouTube series of the same name, and whose mission is to promote dialogue around racial insensitivity and ignorance. Noa Tishby is the New York Times bestselling author of Israel: A Simple Guide to the Most Misunderstood Country on Earth and Israel's former Special Envoy for Combatting Antisemitism and Delegitimization. An award-winning producer, Tishby made history with the sale of In Treatment to HBO, the first Israeli television show to become an American series. Tishby is the founder of several nonprofit organizations, including Act for Israel and Eighteen, which combats antisemitism and inspires Jewish pride. The establishment media is calling Itamar Ben-Gvir "Israel's rising political star", but on the other hand they are all delegitimizing him because he is a rising star on the Jewish conservative right, potentially endangering another left-wing government. Do not miss this episode where I debunk the latest op-ed written by the very prominent David Horovitz, editor of the Times of Israel online newspaper. As you will hear, based on my analysis of his op-ed I do not advise people to trust the editorial slant of the Times of Israel. Click in to find out why.

I don't know how close you are following the Canadian truckers' freedom convoy, but my experience from mass civilian protests in Israel against the Oslo "peace" plan in 1993 and the Gaza "disengagement" plan in 2005 gives me a unique perspective.

Join us on a journey of discovery into the heart some of Israel's best kept gems of history! Our guest this week, Shakked Beery AKA The Wandering Jewess, spent this episode of the show as our expert tour guide as together we explored some of Israel's most fascinating and least-known secret places – the ones most visitors to the country never get to see. Native to Israel for ten generations, Shakked's family arrived at the land more than 200 years ago and took an active part in reconstructing the Jewish homeland. Following her family's heritage, she combines her love for the land with her passion for storytelling. She is a third-generation tour guide. While guiding people from all over the world, she experienced firsthand the negative views people hold against Israel, and how different they are from reality. Her mission became to deliver Israel to people “as is”, challenges and beauty combined, driven by a strong faith that only truth can bring peace. To better pursue her goal, she earned a Masters in Israel Studies from Haifa University, and a teaching certification from Oxford, specializing in Critical Antisemitism and the Delegitimization of Israel. Today, Shakked is an international speaker, dividing her time between guiding in Israel and speaking around the world, telling stories about the Israel she loves. The halt of incoming tourism caused by the pandemic gave Shakked the time to write her first book: "SECRET ISRAEL – The Israel Most Visitors Miss". After guiding for ten years she seized the opportunity to finally tell the stories of the places she loves most. In the book, she reveals the incredible stories behind ten secret gems most tourists never get to visit. Let's talk: Antisemitism on the left & right, the massive delegitimization and modern Israeli history... We are living through crazy times, but there is some positive as well.
Why is BDS (Boycotts, Divestment and Sanctions Movement) still an issue? How can we work productively to address it? Gidi Grinstein is the founder of the Reut Institute, a non-profit organization, designed to be an effective force of change in Israel and the Jewish World. He is also the author of Flexigidity: Secret of Jewish Adaptability, a recent best-seller in Israel, and believes that a vibrant Diaspora is a Zionist imperative. Click here to read more.

Podcast Master List Explorer A panel discussion on Manfred Gerstenfeld’s new book: THE WAR OF A MILLION CUTS: The Struggle against the Delegitimization of Israel and the Jews, and the Growth of New Anti-Semitism. Panel members: Steve Linde, The Jerusalem Post Editor-in-Chief Amnon Lord, Journalist, author and editor for Makor Rishon and for the website Mida. Chairman Isi Leibler, veteran Jewish leader and leading political commentator Dr. Manfred Gerstenfeld, former Chairman of the Jerusalem Center Board of Directors The War of a Million Cuts explains how the delegitimization of Israel and anti-Semitism can be fought. The book describes the hateful messages of those who defame Israel and the Jews, details why anti-Semitism and anti-Israelism have the same core motifs, and discusses the main groups of inciters, including Muslim states, Muslims in the Western world, politicians, media, NGOs, church leaders, those on the extreme left and the extreme right, Jewish self-haters, academics, social democrats, and many others. It explains how the hate messages are effectively transmitted to the public at large, and discusses what impact the delegitimization has already made on Israel and the Jews.
Prof. Gerald Steinberg, Executive Director, NGO Monitor spoke at the conference, Hamas, the Gaza War, and Accountability under International Law hosted by the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs. Steinberg reviewed "Soft power" theory, and the increased politicization of NGOs operating within the Arab-Israeli conflict, as well as the "Lawfare" strategies they continually employ to negatively brand the Israeli state.
In his presentation, Mr. Asserson provides an analysis of BBC Arabic, in particular its impartiality, and misrepresentation and delegitimization of Israel. The corpus for his analysis is interviews conducted with guest speakers on the main BBC news program and broadcast over a period of four weeks during the Second Lebanon War. These were translated and classified according to whether their approach to the conflict takes a specific side or is neutral. He found that there were more than three times as many representatives of undemocratic perspectives (i.e. supportive of Iran and Hezbollah), than democratic ones (i.e. supportive of Israel, a democratic state).
