The feeling, that there is something wrong with you, is one of the biggest happiness and business saboteurs. And it's not an easy thing to overcome. Especially because nobody wants to admit to feeling this way. And subconsciously your mind will do everything to avoid facing this feeling. You do need to know you're not alone in feeling this way. And it is 100% possible to overcome it. And the best part … when you do, EVERYTHING in your life will get better (not just your business). One of the reasons I do a podcast is to highlight the fact that you're not alone in your struggles. And to show you that these struggles can be overcome. This week I will be speaking with Dilshad about that blanket feeling of heaviness. The one that affects your business and everything else in life. And leaves you just going through the motions and always wondering, “What is wrong with me?” And the best part is we'll talk about what it takes to get to the other side of it all and access the happiness that is your birthright. There is an up-and-coming philosophy of parenting called Gentle Parenting. Today's guest, Dilshad from the popular account @thegentlemamma, is sharing her insight on the differences between this philosophy and that of punitive punishment. Dilshad grew up in a traditional Indian family with typical punitive punishment. When she had her son, she wanted to re-consider all that had been passed down to her by past generations. She then came across the concept of Gentle Parenting, which basically says: no rewards and no punishments. On today's episode, Lindsey and Dilshad have a gracious conversation about dealing with anger as a parent (and practical tips to help you stop parenting out of anger), the differences between traditional parenting vs. gentle parenting as well as practical implementations.
