Hunter and Cody Miller got their start in ATV racing during the golden era right when Factory Can-Am was ready to invest in talent. What began with “glorified boxes on wheels” has since become one of the most respected UTV racing operations in the game.Hunter, the more media-facing brother, shares how he and Cody transformed their Can-Am team from a tiny garage where cars had to be pushed outside just to work—into a full-scale racing and manufacturing business with a professional-grade facility and multiple bays.Together, the Miller brothers have not only earned their place at the top of the UTV ranks—they've built a business that's as competitive off the track as it is on it.Live a little and tune in as Hunter Miller tells the story behind the Millers' rise. Recorded on-site at the 2025 Women in Mining National Conference in San Antonio, this episode brings authentic, unfiltered stories from two rising voices in the mining world—Margaret Hinton and Paige Courtney. With backgrounds as diverse as cotton farming and competitive athletics to engineering and financial investigations, Margaret and Paige dive into how they found purpose and passion in the mining industry. Together, they share how mining became more than a career—it's a community. From their first experiences in tunnels and copper pits to working on a new Women in Mining chapter in the Midwest, they highlight the importance of visibility, storytelling, and educating the next generation. Whether it's correcting outdated perceptions about the industry or advocating for reclamation and sustainability, their mission is clear: mining has a human face, and it's changing fast. This episode is packed with humor, heart, and hard truths—plus, a few ghost stories, underground adventures, and a growing obsession with mining history (and a certain Leadville legend, Baby Doe Tabor). And if you're wondering what these women are up to after-hours? Head north to Area 31, a unique UTV park in Minocqua, Wisconsin, where the off-road spirit runs just as deep as their passion for mining. They discuss the excitement surrounding the upcoming gun season, family traditions related to hunting, and the importance of processing deer personally. The conversation shifts to hunting access, land management strategies, and the significance of creating wildlife-friendly habitats. They also explore deer movement patterns, the use of technology in habitat management, and the value of community knowledge sharing in hunting. The episode continues with a captivating story about Jake's buck from the current season, which was shot in late October after making an aggressive move because the farmer drove by on a UTV. Jake knew about this buck and was able to put the puzzle pieces together by finding scrapes and understanding how deer like to bed on his property. After making the shot the recovery was unique and Jake was in uncharted territory after not hitting the buck ideal. He discussed the challenge of tracking and recovering his deer, particularly after a gut shot, and how waiting until the following morning was critical to recovering his deer.  Overall you can sense the passion Jake has for hunting and improving the landscape. He isn't afraid of some sweat equity and is always learning and attempting new strategies. He is very relatable to the majority of hunters who find themselves hunting the family farm or own their small piece of heaven. Leaving behind the property better than he found it is the driving force and he is already looking forward to starting habitat improvements this upcoming year. Thank you for listening to the episode! The episode continues with a captivating story about Jake's buck from the current season, which was shot in late October after making an aggressive move because the farmer drove by on a UTV.Jake knew about this buck and was able to put the puzzle pieces together by finding scrapes and understanding how deer like to bed on his property. Leaving behind the property better than he found it is the driving force and he is already looking forward to starting habitat improvements this upcoming year.Thank you for listening to the episode!
