England wasn't its sharpest and the US played inspired soccer. With passionate play from US Captain Tyler Adams, Weston McKennie and Yunus Musah the US kept England off balance but missed a couple of huge opportunities including one off the crossbar by Christian Pulisic. Controversy still surrounds the lack of minutes for Brenden Aaronson and Gio Reyna. Begs the question, even when the team is playing this well, shouldn't we have our absolute best squad on the field? The boys need goals…period. Sets up a huge do-or-die game on Tuesday against Iran, who beat Wales 2-0.

And that means the rebuilding can finally begin. On today's show -- held specifically for the Galaxy announcement -- hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter discuss the addition of Vanney to the club and why he made a lot of sense. And we'll get to talk about Vanney's first interview with Kevin just hours before the club made his announcement official. There's a discussion about Vanney wanting the challenge of rebuilding a very broken club and why he sees California as a place to come "home." Plus, there's some good insight into how he could be spending the Galaxy's money in a very uncertain 2021. Additionally, Josh and Kevin will discuss the addition of Dan Calichman to the no. 1 assistant job and why Dominic Kinnear's involvement with the Galaxy might continue but not as a head coach. Would you stay if you were Kinnear? Would you want him if you're Vanney? Plus, there are updates on Cristian Pavon, Jorge Villafana, AJ DeLaGarza, and a lot more. We even made sure to update you on the MLSPA and their problems with MLS and the ownership group. Will the 2021 season also be significantly impacted by Covid-19? Will there even be a season? We've got a lot to discuss in our first show of 2021. And we're glad the Galaxy could finally make the announcement many have been waiting for. If there's a typical start to the 2021 season, the players will be reporting to training camp by the end of the month. Does that make it feel real? Thanks for kicking off another season with us! Finally, the guys will give you all the news surrounding the Galaxy's Season Awards! 2018 COG SCARF SALE (COG20): https://corner-of-the-galaxy.myshopify.com/collections/frontpage/products/2018-corner-of-the-galaxy-scarf COG STUDIOS, Calif. -- The LA Galaxy desperately needed three points against Minnesota United on Sunday, and that's exactly what they got. With goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ola Kamara, and Romain Alessandrini, it was difficult to find a Galaxy player who had a bad game. On today's show, your hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter are back to tell you what you can take from the turf victory and what the Galaxy need to be careful of as they get ready for a matchup with the already-eliminated Houston Dynamo. First, the guys are going to take you back over the highlights of the game and tell you why Dominic Kinnear is coaching differently than anyone else around the league. Could a lack of consequences be leading Kinnear to the best lineup? Or has his simple style of coaching made it palatable for all the Galaxy starters? And could he be coaching this way if he were to start the 2019 season? Josh and Kevin both have some oppositive views on this. But with a goal and an assist on the night, Ibrahimovic had some interesting words to the press afterward. Could rumors of a Real Madrid move be real? And could Ibrahimovic be angling for a move or more money? With the Galaxy needing to move pieces to get Ibrahimovic the money he deserves, could the club move someone like Alessandrini? Or do they finally rid themselves of Giovani dos Santos? 2019 is going to be a difficult year to manage and anyone they bring is going to have to try and build off the momentum of this season. Then the guys will tell you why Kamara just cost the team $100,000 and why that's not a small amount of money for the club. But also why it's probably worth every penny. Finally, Josh and Kevin will tell you when a potential playoff game could be played and why it might mean a busy sports night in the city of Angels. It's a great show and we're glad you could join us. Music Provided by Back Pocket Memory

Finally, Dave gives you a great insight into the team, explains how shocking this season was to everyone and why they're still focused on winning games in 2017 but already can't wait to get back on the field for 2018. Dave went from being a ten-percent scholarship player at the University of San Fransisco to the first every Galaxy player to be signed from their USL affiliate. It's a great story with some fun, Dave knowledge in-between. And, we got to raise $150 for the Galaxy Foundation just because. So that's not so bad! Thanks for listening and we hope everyone enjoys CoG's chat with Dave Romney! Music Provided by Back Pocket Memory

CoG Studios, CA - It may have been another LA Galaxy loss, but the season was lost months ago. Now it's time to learn as much as one can about the team before the end of the season. And with just nine games left, it's very important to learn from the lessons of this last season so the team doesn't make the same mistakes twice. Your hosts Josh Guesman and Wendy Thomas will walk you through some of the more interesting parts of the Galaxy's loss but this show isn't about the games that have been played. It's about the people who are in positions to lead the Galaxy out of a season like this and turn the team back into what it has almost always been - a contender for every trophy, tournament, and title. The majority of the focus will be put on the front office and Josh and Wendy try to evaluate Chris Klein and Pete Vagenas. Should they still be in charge for next season? Where does the fault lie? And how much does job performance matter when the "team mentality" gets in the way of proper evaluation? Your hosts will also get you updated on all the Galaxy news including Dominic Kinnear's hire and what that means for the decision making of personnel, and players. Finally, Josh will get you ready for the Rapids on Saturday night while Wendy tells you where she would place a bet for $100 dollars. Would you put money on the Galaxy to win this game on Saturday? Or would you rather the flip of a coin? It's a great show packed with almost 90-minutes of Galaxy talk. Thanks for joining us! Music Provided by Back Pocket Memory!

CoG Studios, CA - We've seen pretty much everything in this 2017 LA Galaxy season. But just when you start to think things can't get any worse, they do. On today's show, your hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter will walk you through some important things to pay attention to after the Galaxy's 3-0 loss to the San Jose Earthquakes. First, they'll discuss the Galaxy's "bad luck" in once again losing players to injury. What effect will it have on the long term health of the team? And what could the Galaxy do to make sure they're not saddled with another injury prone player? Next, the guys will talk about the breaking news that Dominic Kinnear will be joining the club as an assistant coach. But really, the appointment raises more questions than it does concrete answers. Is Kinnear already lining up to take over for Sigi Schmid? Or is this a pairing that can be compared to Bruce Arena and Dave Sarachan - a power couple?! The guys will break down that news and eventually transition to what it means for the stability of the team and how this could be the start of something much bigger -- although unlikely. Josh and Kevin will make sure they answer your calls, your tweets, and your emails while attempting to argue from every side of the topic until they're always right and always wrong. This show is filled with all the tough questions. Who's to blame for the Galaxy's downfall and what happens between now and the offseason that is so important for the long term viability of this team? We've got 90-minutes of Galaxy talk headed your way! Don't miss it. Music Provided by Back Pocket Memory.

January camp is over, but that doesn't mean we're done talking about it. This time, though, the discussion centers around a 2-0 victory against Panama that saw Gyasi Zardes prove he belongs, Clint Dempsey do his thing and Michael Bradley notch an olimpico. What you really want to know is what Simon thinks of Miguel Ibarra's performance, and ETR's resident hot-take expert doesn't disappoint. In the second segment, the spotlight turns to MLS, where injuries and signings stole the headlines on Monday. Why is Jermaine Jones having surgery? What's wrong with Eddie Johnson? Who is this centerback the Union just signed? Finally, San Jose boss Dominic Kinnear joins the guys to talk homecomings, DPs and Jurgen Klinsmann. In the mailbag, listeners wonder if Simon soiled himself making noises on the last show, and the conversation, predictably, turns to jam's place in history.
