I'm Lesley Logan, Pilates instructor and fitness business coach. I've trained thousands of people around the world and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self-doubt. My friends, action brings clarity and it's the antidote to fear. Each week, my guest will bring bold, executable, intrinsic and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and Be It Till You See It. It's a practice, not a perfect. Let's get started.Lesley Logan 0:50  Okay, Be It babe. Here's the deal. This episode is gonna be one you listen to multiple times. I wanted to, in real time, rewind and relisten. It's so good. Our guest is Mark Collins. He's the author of Life Mastery and I really am obsessed with there's always a lot of people who want to talk about imposter syndrome, and this is the first time I've been like, yes, this guy, this guy actually really understands imposter syndrome and how to not let it master your life or take over like, he's so good, and he's got some great phrases that you will want to put on Post-Its and read every day to remind yourself how freaking amazing you are and what you're here on this planet to do. So I am just fired up. I'll also just be really honest, he's, this was the last Zoom call of a day where I started on Zoom at 6 am and I was like, okay, who am I interviewing? Oh, I'm interviewing Mark Collins. Oh, I really like this guy. The interview does not disappoint. I'm so excited. Now, I will also say this, I'm a fast talker. If you already aren't good at listening to me at 1.5 speed, good job. But you may want to slow this down to one because Mark Collins also can meet me at my speed. And so I recognize we're both fast talkers. We both recognize we're fast talkers. We could work on that. But also, I think our brains are just going a little too fast, so you might want to put us on one or point seven five. You can do that in your app. But also feel free to rewind. And then also on our website, we have the transcripts of the show, so you can also go back, read what any of the parts are that you loved. And I can't wait to hear how this helps you. Please let us know. Please tag Mark. Please tag the Be It Pod. And here is Mark Collins.Lesley Logan 2:25  All right, Be It babe. I am super excited because our guest today caught my attention when he talked about imposter syndrome. And you know how we can actually not deal with that, and we can redesign our life. And as many times as I talk about like we have imposter syndrome, and often it's because we're new at something, so you're gonna be an imposter. A lot of times we feel imposter syndrome when we're not new. And so I'm just excited for Mark Collins to join us today. Mark, can you tell everyone who you are and what you rock at?Mark Collins 2:50  Thanks, Lesley, and thanks for the conversation. I'm excited to be here. So I was to give somebody a one-sentence scenario about what I tried to do. What I tell them is that I help people to unlock and unleash their hero in hiding in their business relationships in life. We have strategies and tools to do that, but at the end of the day, my desire is to see the best of you come out and be the person you're supposed to be in all areas.Lesley Logan 3:13  I love that and that one sentence is like, just really great words in there. How did you get into this? Though? I think before we get into how to unlock that and unleash that and all that stuff, what made you go down this path?Mark Collins 3:26  Yeah, that's a great question. You know, people ask that usually about my book Life Mastery, or the course that's titled the same as well. And I tell people this, Lesley, that I didn't do it because I thought I had great ideas for other people to live out to be able to do those things to maximize their life, or whatever the thing is that there is their goal, but it really was something I desired for myself. In walking through, you know, my own personal development and trying to succeed in business or athletics or academics, what I found was some of those things you talked about, that imposter syndrome that came along for the ride. And what I found was you can't success away fear of failure or imposter syndrome, they just come along. And so when you're at that mountain top and you've had that success, if it's a challenge that you've dealt with, and just to be honest, Lesley, I haven't met a person yet who hasn't had something apart from a transformational journey. I've and a lot of people, a lot of them have had the same issues that I had. So for me, it came from a place of finding transformational tools, being able to have more than just habits that I maintain, but a lifestyle that I could live, you know, when you do that, you want to share it with people, you know. And so it started informally and sharing with friends and having thoughts and ideas and telling them, hey, I've tried this at you and really started to formalize it in a system, instead of giving them little nuggets here and there and to say, okay, well, how do I help somebody get from A to Z, from bound to healed, or from stress to set free? And so that's where the course in the systems came from. It came from my own life first, and then the opportunity to work with so many others afterwards.Lesley Logan 4:53  That's so cool. You just said you can't out success your imposter syndrome. What'd you say? Mark Collins 4:59  You can't success away imposter syndrome or fear or anxiety or any of the other things that we do.Lesley Logan 5:04  You are correct. You cannot. You're totally correct. In fact, the more you try, the more it's almost like you have more imposter syndrome or more anxiety.Mark Collins 5:12  Yeah. Well and the interesting thing, Lesley, is a lot of times we think you can, you know, we look for those people that are on our pedestals, whatever those are in your life, and we think, oh, he or she, they've got it all together. They can't have the issues and the struggles and things that I have, and I just need to get where they're at, and all of a sudden, I'll be that person as well. Everything will work out, won't have any anxiety, won't wake up at three in the morning like I've had in my past. And you find out that that's not the case. And it's interesting when I'm always surprised at the clients that I work with that have those levels of success, right? Their name plate's on the door. They're the person who's doing great things, but it's the person that you don't know. It's the person like I said, waking up at three in the morning. So, yeah, success is amazing. It's a poor substitute for identity, and it's never a place where you can overcome issues that are standing in the way.Lesley Logan 6:02  Yeah, yeah, you're so correct. First of all, I find it interesting. You said something like, we all like, okay, if I'm just like this person, then I'm going to be like this. Once I get to their level, then I'm going to feel free. And that is actually kind of the impetus of be it till you see it. Because I hate, I can't stand hearing when I have this, then I will. When this happens, then I will. It's, I don't want to wait for that to happen. A lot of those things can are like, kind of outsourced to other people. A lot of those things are like other people discovering you at the same time you're promoting it and also deciding to buy the thing that you have at the same, there's a lot of things in there. And so I'm like, how can I live like that right now? What if I was that person today? That's what be it till you see it is. And that's kind of where it came from. And so I just had to bring that up, because I was, oh, that's exactly what everyone does. Everyone was like, when I have this. I want to kind of go into, for the person who feels imposter syndrome on a regular basis, most of my listeners, hi guys, I see you. Is there any imposter syndrome that is healthy, or are there signs of imposter syndrome they may not know? Two questions there.Mark Collins 7:06  Yeah, that's a great couple of questions. And I think, is there imposter syndrome that is healthy? And I would, to be totally honest, and of course, I will be honest, because that's who you're clientele and the people listening want me to be. No. No, there is no healthy imposter syndrome, because at the end of the day, what imposter syndrome says is I'm not qualified for where I'm at, whether it's in your business or relationship, you're in the boardroom, you're creating something on your own, you're a creative individual, or you're just in a relationship, or you're a new parent, right? One of the moments of imposter syndrome for me was having my daughter placed into my hands when she was born, and knowing I'm not qualified. Well, unfortunately, in many cases, imposter syndrome is me saying I'm not qualified for this. Whatever it is. You know? Whatever you've got as your item, that's what it is. And the truth of the matter is, as I talk to the people that I work with, it's in the thing that we talked about, your hero in hiding. I believe everybody has a hero in hiding. You have the person you're created to be, that be it person that you're talking about, and you have the person that shows up. And it's either coming from who you're, what I say, who you're created to be, or your life has told you. Well, imposter syndrome is me looking at my past and having informed my present and creating my future and saying that, well, because I wasn't able to last time, I can't do it this time, or because I didn't succeed in that business, I won't be able to do it this time. It's those thoughts that try and sabotage you, stop you and control the outcomes that you have in your life. So is it ever positive? Absolutely not. But congratulations if you have it. Because at the end of the day, I love people who do because those are the people who are really reaching for something in their life. When I'm comfortable and I've got all the answers and everything's working and I'm not too stressed, I'm not really trying very hard, well, imposter syndrome isn't coming up because it's just me being chill, but it's in those times and places, right, that man and woman who is reaching for higher ground, they're looking for that amazing goal, those wonderful things that they want to do in their life, that it comes up. But what we try to do is help them to understand. The one thing I tell you is, you're the answer to the circumstance you're walking into. You're not the question to be figured out.Lesley Logan 7:08  Thank you for that. I really enjoyed that. The whole answer. I mean, it's true. When, I just had the moment of imposter syndrome earlier, before this call, and it was absolutely because I was thinking, what if this doesn't work? And I was basing it off of the things that haven't worked in the past, I totally did it. I used the past to direct the present. Instead of going actually, like, this is going to work because of all these different reasons. And also, if it doesn't work, I will absolutely take the steps to figure out why it didn't work and do it again. I know that about myself, so it's really funny how it can sneak up upon us. And it's also because I really care. I really care about what this thing is going to be and what it can do for people. So you talked about becoming a dad, but can you share any other instances where imposter syndrome kind of affected you and how you handled that?Mark Collins 9:49  Yeah, absolutely. In business, right? So my wife and I, we've been successful entrepreneurs, and I'm sure, like in everybody else's business, there's those times when your output of finances don't equal your income coming in the door where, you know it was a client-based business. And so your bills are static. They happen every month, whether you have clients or not, whether they make their payments or not, whether they're late or not. And so, of course, there were those circumstances where, you know clientele would dip because of the recession issues challenges with whatever, right? Everybody has challenges in their life, but the bills are still coming in. And in those places, for me, it was that point of saying, I don't know if this was the right decision. Those things, when things aren't going well, then all of a sudden you question whether you're making the right choices. And if I can unpack something really quickly. So what I tell again, like I said before, if, what I tell people is that you learn from who you're created to be or what your life has told you. Well, we all have a past and a life that's told us something, many somethings in our life, and what we talked about as a foundation of Life Mastery is starting from identity. Who you're created to be. And in that place, you start to unpack and see some things in your life. Well, this guy who's got financial challenges, right? Like with every business, it's not all roses and sunshine. And in that place, you hearken back to understand who you are. And that, for me, was a young man who was struggling in school and having challenges with mathematics, and you know, some of the things that you're doing academically well, that young man at five, six, seven, eight, nine years old, who was struggling in one of his classes. Well, there's an identity statement that comes along with your experiences. It's never just your experience, but what's the experience tells you about you? Because we all have good and bad that we walk through. But the challenge is, what does it say about you? What's the identity statement that you're taking from it? So that young man who's struggling in school, believe it or not, I don't know about the schools you went to, but the ones that I went to, they didn't look too kindly on you if you couldn't cut it academically, and certainly your friends and the people around you let you know that. Well, that young man felt like he wasn't as smart as everybody else. So fast forward. Identity statement. When you're an adult, still succeeding, still doing great things, right, got my bachelor's degree, have a successful business, but then there's a financial downturn, and what happens is those thoughts come in your head. Imposter syndrome is another form of identity sabotage. It's saying this, you're not good enough. And in that place, what do you go back to? Oh, okay, well, it's because you're not as smart as, you're not as qualified as, you're not as good as, or whatever the thing is you're telling yourself. And so for us, it's understanding. How do you unpack it so you understand the truth? See, the truth of that young man was he was temporarily academically challenged. He wasn't somebody that was defective. He wasn't somebody that wasn't as good as. Come to find out, when I went to college, I took mathematics all the way up and passed all the way through calculus, which at that time was the highest level of math you could qualify for. Well, certainly I wasn't somebody who wasn't as smart as everybody else, even though you succeed afterwards, those identity statements come along. And you know this, Lesley, right? Because you know people in your own life, or people in the TMZs and all of the people that are famous where they try and overcome who they believe they are, but the success they have, but they sabotage themselves and ruin everything.Lesley Logan 12:54  Yes. Mark Collins 12:54  So it's always you showing up as who you are, and success, as I said before, is just a poor substitute for identity. But when you start to live from who you are instead of what your life has told you now, all of a sudden, you're unleashed into the world as a person you're created to be.Lesley Logan 13:09  Yeah, I want to live more like that all the time. Is that even, is that possible? Is it possible to live a life without imposter syndrome and fully as who I am and not what I, what my past is?Mark Collins 13:21  Yes, absolutely. Lesley Logan 13:23  Is it something that takes a long time to de- as a deprogramming? How does someone kind of identify those situations, of what stories are being living themselves by? And also, it sounds like there's coping mechanisms, like, it sounds like success is a coping mechanism for the thing that they're trying to deal with.Mark Collins 13:40  Yeah, absolutely. And so I'll take the last one first, and what it is is really what we've all been taught, or we all have assumed, right? So whether it's media or family or experiences that we've walked through, we've all assumed that when I've, whatever, gotten that trophy or got that level of income or have that amazing car in my driveway, well now all of a sudden, everything else is gravy. Everything works out. We look at the outside of somebody without understanding the inside. And so it's not any harm or foul by anybody. It's just this is kind of the system, which is why, you know, by the way, my book is called Life Mastery: Living Life By Design, Not By Default.Lesley Logan 14:13  Yes.Mark Collins 14:13  What I tell people is that everybody I know, apart from a transformational journey, is living from default. And it's that place of understanding that if I change my outward, it'll change my inward. When the opposite is true when I change my inward, everything outside of me changes. Another way of putting it, that I tell people is when I understand who I'm created to be, my world lines up. When I don't know who I'm created to be, my world has to make up the difference, and so I have to succeed to feel worthy. I have to have a relationship to feel loved. I have to have income to feel like I'm a person of value. (inaudible)Lesley Logan 14:46  I would have to rewind what you just said, because you just said something the way that we are wanting the world to see us like if we're waiting for the world to (inaudible) in us, that's, that is, I think, how a lot of people are feeling right now, like I've had so many people who are reacting to so many different things that are outside of their control, and they're like, this is gonna affect me this way, and this is gonna affect me this way. And I think that's human nature. But what you just said that if we actually come from ourselves, then we don't feel that way, don't fall out of that control. Am I right?Mark Collins 15:15  Exactly. So if I don't understand who I'm created, if I don't understand my identity, then my world has to make up the difference.Lesley Logan 15:21  Yes. Mark Collins 15:22  And it is that place of default, which is what we've always been shown. It's what is highlighted on social media. And you know, I mean, there's no harm or foul in any of it, and certainly not for us in trying to use it. But what we find, as you found as well, and I know in my life also is it doesn't work. Success is great, right? But at the end of the day, if success is all I have, then it's empty when I get there.Lesley Logan 15:43  Yeah. Mark Collins 15:43  And it lasts for about 10 minutes and then I have to do it again. Lesley Logan 15:46  Yeah. Mark Collins 15:46  I think of a client of mine who had and is having multimillion-dollar transactions in the real estate and business development field. And for him, it was that thing where success was a relief, it wasn't a celebration. Because again, those thought patterns, the imposter syndrome, the fear of failure, those things that come along with it, really, every success was just a momentary ability to prove that you weren't somebody who was going to fail at it. The problem is it never changes you. It just gives you a momentary satisfaction that you have to repeat over and over again, the hamster wheel of success. And so if I could talk to your first question, can you get over imposter syndrome? Can it be something that you don't struggle with? Absolutely. That's actually the goal that we have in our course. A lot of the systems that we use are to give you the transformation. And I make the designation of change versus transformation.Lesley Logan 15:46  Okay. Mark Collins 15:46  Because when I was trying to figure it out my own life, trying to become the person, right, that man on the inside that I believed I could be, that wasn't always showing up, and I didn't plan on being the guy that was stressed out, sweating through my pajamas at three in the morning. It was just part of the anxiety and issues that came along with it. But I always believed there was somebody more. Tried personal development in a lot of ways and the problem with many of the programs that I did, they all give you results, and they all have benefits. The challenge is that many of them give you habits to manage your life, manage your anxiety, anger management. Say these mantras, bludgeon your thoughts over until they come into alignment with what you want to be. The problem is they never work. And here's the reason why, Lesley, because the habit I use to get there is the habit I have to maintain to stay there. And that doesn't sound like transformation or freedom. What it sounds like is exhaustion, because I don't believe that we have to maintain habits to again, bludgeon my thoughts into aligning with what I'm trying to believe I am. But what I do believe is, when you live from who you're created tobe, when you know who you are, then that's the easiest life possible. What I tell people is this, it's the easiest life ever living from a place of life mastery, because it's literally me just living from who I'm created to be at the highest level I'm created for in every area of life. What's exhausting is life management, which is me trying to attack my thoughts when they happen. It's that life by default, right? It's trying to attack them when they happen, expect that they'll always be there, you know, even to the point where I had this conversation with somebody who was eight or nine figure, multimillionaire, amazing person, and he said this. He said, with every business transaction, fear of failure comes in, and I have to wrestle with it. He says I guess that's just part of the process. It just drove me crazy, because the truth of the matter is that we're not meant to deal with fear of failure, and again, if you understand who you're created to be and live from that place, it's the easiest thing. I don't have to measure up to be who I am. I don't have to prove myself. I don't have to accomplish things to be who I am. I actually have accomplishment because of who I am, not to prove it. And in those places, you can have tools and strategies. We can talk about some of them, but the truth of the matter is, there's a better life.Lesley Logan 18:41  Okay, so I wanted to go into, I mean, I got really intrigued with Life Mastery and you kind of covered that a little bit, but I wanted to go into a couple more stories, because I think, I know my listeners, they see themselves in other people. And some of the things you brought up, I've seen myself, and I'm like, oh yeah, I definitely have been life managing. I want to life master. This sounds so much more fun. You've coached over 500 people, so I feel like you have to have a couple other transformative stories for us to hear about.Mark Collins 19:05  Yeah, absolutely. I think of a young man who highly successful in business, working within the government, and he was doing great in his job. The problem is he wasn't showing up at home. And so here's the interesting thing that you and I know, Lesley, it's that we think we can compartmentalize our emotions. And when I have stress at work, man, I'll just compartmentalize it. When I get home, I can be that bubbly personality that I'm supposed to be. The only person who thinks that is the person who's trying to do it. All the rest of us realize that. And so for this guy, he was having success in business, but with him again, living from who you're created to be or what your past has told you. For him, it was having a past that told him that relationships aren't safe. I can't trust other people, which is fine when you're single, but when you're married, it really doesn't lead to a great relationship.Lesley Logan 19:46  I'm like surprised he got married.Mark Collins 19:47  Yeah, well, you know, you do these things that you believe you're supposed to do, and it's the things that you're trying to do, and you, even in business, the interesting thing is, with people who are highly successful, the people I work with want more, they just don't know how to get there. They're like, this can't be everything. But the challenge is, so even in relationships, specifically, he wanted more in his relationship, he just didn't know how to get there. And so part of it was unpacking some of those lies and the issues that you've had of not being able to trust and therefore not being able to give, and in that place, showing up as a provider in his household, but not engaging emotionally, relationally or substantially within his household, it's that person you talk to which you can't really read, you can't really understand. And so for him, it was unpacking those things. It's starting to understand when I can show up as who I am. Well, I tell people this Lesley, when I understand who I'm created to be, my wife doesn't have to make up the difference. When I don't understand my identity, she does, and it's in every relationship, in all times, which means we need to be good, for me to be good, and there can't be stressor issues or challenges. I can't feel, you know? We can't have a hard conversation, because that could affect me, right? It's in business as well, in boardrooms and relationships with superiors and people that you have overseeing or business and trying to deal with clients the offense of other people in relationships can undermine you when you don't know who you are, when I know who I am, then I don't need you to prove it to me.Lesley Logan 21:09  Yeah. Mark Collins 21:10  And so for him, it was that place of being able to say, No, there's whatever the relationship is, I'm a person of worth and value. And in that place, you can give more of who you are when you're not worried about the results.Lesley Logan 21:24  I, there's so many good things in there. I think that, especially the couple thing like though, we have to be good for me to be good. Embarrassingly, I'm going to admit you guys, I have been binging out on some dating shows because they're not stressful for me. I'm not dating. I love my husband. We're good and we have a really lovely, healthy relationship. I don't need him to be good for me to be good.Mark Collins 21:44  That's awesome. Lesley Logan 21:45  But what you just said there, I watched and I'm like, oh, that's how I can tell who's gonna make it and who's not. Because I'm like, that person needs this person to complete them, and these people are just awesome on their own. You can see it, right? So I agree with everything you're saying there. I want to talk to the person who's kind of just beginning to recognize their battles with imposter syndrome. I think that a lot of people can get pretty far in life just dealing with it. Because, you know, especially if you put yourself in the right place, like you get a job, you do the thing, you can kind of not skate through because it's not going to be fun, but they're just beginning to deal with it, and now they're feeling it. And once you feel it, it's kind of hard to not feel it anymore. Is there anything that's in your book, or any tools that you have that could help them start their journey to the Life Mastery that you've been talking about?Mark Collins 22:27  Yeah, I love that. So the book is a mirror of my course called Life Mastery. And so the tools are in bulk. What I tell people about my book is it, I call it the Quick Start Guide to Life Mastery. So where the course is all the bells and whistles, the one-on-one coaching, and some of the other things that we have, you're able to take some nuggets in each of the chapters of the book and apply them. And what I tell people is, you can read something today, apply it this week, and find transformation this month. And so in that area, it all starts with this, Lesley, it starts with identity, who you're created to be. And so very early on, we're going to start to unpack understanding who are you apart from your things. And those things that we're talking about is your position, it's your title, it's your income, it's your possessions, it's the things that we believe make us we don't really say that they do until they're taken away. And all of a sudden it's, oh, okay, I lost my job, or my business is failing, or whatever the thing is, right? In many times we think that because I am okay on the outside, I'm okay on the inside, like I said. So the very first thing we do is say, okay, well, let's take away all of that and find out what's left, your character, your value, your worth. And for us, we tell people to write an "I Am" statement. Statement starts with "I am" everything else you fill in the blank. I am a person of character and worth. I'm a person of strength and value. I'm a person who finds answers to challenges. I'm a person who overcomes every problem that I face, or whatever the things are that are yours. Those are some of mine. It's the person that you are showing up. As I told you earlier, the thing I said was, you're the answer to the circumstance you're walking into. You're not the question to be figured out. When I understand who I am, I realize I'm the answer, which means that I'm fully capable in every circumstance. Doesn't mean every circumstance is amazing. Doesn't mean I have answers to every question that's going to come up. It means that I'm confident that I'm able and fully able to do everything I need to become and create a positive outcome to that situation.Lesley Logan 24:13  Oh my God, Mark. Oh my God. I want a thousand Post-Its, put "I Am" statements all over my office because I just want to see them all, and I want to read the transcripts of my own podcast, because you have way too many good quotes in there. You have such good things for like, there's a nugget for every person who's listening. You guys, you can rewind this and listen again. There's just so many good little nuggets you can chew on and think about. So thank you for that.Mark Collins 24:39  Absolutely. So what's the outcome of that when I start to show up and start to believe I'm that person, what people don't realize is not just this cool mindset hack and this positive affirmation that I'm telling myself when I'm speaking from the truth of who I am. Then now, all of a sudden, we could get to the neuroscience of it, and I don't need to. I'm a little bit nerdy sometimes. But here's the truth of the matter. Or I tell people this, and it's one of the strategies we use as well, which is mastering your thoughts. I tell them, Lesley, who you think you are, you'll become. And so what happens is, when I come in as the person who's the answer to the circumstance, not the question to be figured out. Now all of a sudden you have those empowering emotions like confidence and assurance and all the things that will bring answers. And so cognitively, you start to get answers. You start to find ideas. You start to get these solutions that may happen and the things you can do, and strategies and ways to navigate and to do those things. When you come as a person who's like, I don't know what's going to happen here. I'm not sure what's going to happen. Oh, this is a huge problem. I don't know how we're going to. Now, all of a sudden, you get disempowering emotions like anxiety and fear and worry and stress. And again, speaking about neuroplasticity, you have those chemicals that come into your body. You know, it's the fight or flight or freeze scenario where you're like, okay, well, stress happens. Or when I was walking through my Life Mastery journey, early on, anger would come up because, you know, oh, I can't believe whatever the things that are happening, none of them is leading you towards solutions. All of them are focusing on a problem. But again, when you show up as you understand that you're the answer. Now, biochemically, neurologically, you actually have answers. So it's not just some fluff and some pat on your back mindset information. It's actually showing up and giving yourself the best capability to be the best you in all circumstances.Lesley Logan 26:19  Yes, yes. That is so good. I mean, like, just even the idea of coming into the room knowing who you are, versus being a question to be solved, you guys, that's being it till you see it. Coming into the room as, like, that's just what it is.Mark Collins 26:32  Exactly. Lesley Logan 26:33  This is amazing. This is so good. Because I think I get really good at catching the imposter syndrome when it's happening, you know, like, I'm like, oh, I'm feeling the fear. This is a worry. This is me upper limiting. I'm sabotaging this right now. I actually know the answer. I kind of like talk myself through it, and I have told myself that that is fine and normal and wonderful. Am I wrong? And is overcoming imposter syndrome mean I don't even have the moments like that or that I actually recognize them and understand them to be false and can move forward with what I know?Mark Collins 27:02  That is a huge victory. That's a huge victory. So, so if you were to look back on our lives right, yourself, myself, anybody who's listening or watching, there's a time when that wasn't happening, there's a time when you would spiral into negativity and worry and stress and whatever the things are. So I tell people this Life Mastery isn't a moment. It's a journey, but it's a journey that has moments, and so in those times like that, I would invite my people to invest in is recognize those moments and celebrate the fact that, wow, I'm changing, I'm transforming, I'm growing. And it's those times when you recognize it, where you're like, what I tell people is this, it's not that negative emotions aren't happening or those thoughts won't come in, but they have no place to land, and they don't get to manipulate your life anymore. That's a huge victory. And then they'll become far and far in between, and then you'll find there's greater and greater levels of stress and challenge you can walk into without even having them show up, and you find out about it afterwards, you're like, I just locked into what I needed to do and got this thing done. I didn't even think about it. So it comes in stages, but every one of them is a celebration, because every one of them is, you know, Lesley or Mark or whoever the person is listening, it's you, transforming and changing, becoming that person. Again, that hero in hiding, showing up.Lesley Logan 28:13  Oh, I love that. Thank you for that compliment. Now I'm doing a great job and.Mark Collins 28:17  You are, though. That's amazing.Lesley Logan 28:19  Yeah, yeah, no. And I also like, what's really cool is they are fewer and farther. They don't happen next to each other, which is really great. And when they do, it's usually the same one twice. I was like, okay, hold on. You didn't really stop and think about that. Yes, listen, I have lots of conversations with myself. I'm an Aquarius. We're in our head a lot. You are a wealth of knowledge. I feel like we could all take weekend courses, but we're gonna take a brief break and find out how we can take your course, read your amazing book and learn more from you.Lesley Logan 28:45  All right, Mark, so you said you got a book, and a course, they kind of go together, but I can read the book if I'm wanting to do the light version, or if I need to go all in. Tell me more about where I can find these things and which one I need.Mark Collins 28:56  Yeah, absolutely. So first off, where can you find them? I try and be a one-stop shop. So everything is on my website, which is freedom-for-life.net freedom-for-life.net. What's the difference between the two? Well, there's those folks who are like myself, and maybe you, Lesley, you seem to be that type that you know I don't want. I don't want the appetizer. I want the whole meal. I want that one-on-one coaching. I want everything so that I know I have those things, right? It's the all in one process. So that's the course. The course has all of those in there. But the book has value, and it has value in that those folks who are like, I want to find some nuggets. I want to do some things that are really changing my life. I want to engage in this. I really don't know where to start. The book is a great way to do that. I have it as a eBook version on my website, and the reason for that is, I have hard copy. You can get those at Amazon, but I love the fact that you can carry it around on your phone, because it's an eBook. So you can have it anywhere that you're at, so at any time you have so I know you're working with, you're having a lot of business professionals that don't have a lot of time. You always have it available.Lesley Logan 29:54  That's cool. I like what you even said about the book. You can learn something today, use it this week and transform in a month, or I'm misquoting you, but that's what it felt like, and I experienced in the month and I actually think that that's really cool. And so if even people are like, I'm not sure I can trust myself, I think you could start there, and then you can always go to the course. You can do whatever you want, guys like, whatever you've been called to. But I really like this. And also, thanks for having a one-stop shop. Makes it really easy on where everyone can click. It's in the show notes, guys. Lesley Logan 30:18  All right, you have literally given so much. I think there's so many different parts we can go back and re-listen, but, we cannot end without our bold, executable, intrinsic, targeted steps to be it till you see it. What do you have for us?Mark Collins 30:32  Yeah, so the first thing is the one that we talked about. It the "I Am" statement, do not move past that until you do that. Anything you do to try and create mantras and things that you tell yourself, affirmations, if they're not tied to who you are, then they're really you becoming an imitation of somebody else. So start with that "I Am" statement, who you are, apart from your things. The reason why that's important is one of our, we have a three-step transformational process mastering your thoughts, words and actions. I'll unpack thoughts really quickly, and that is this, who you think you are, you'll become. You know, Lesley, you're as successful as you are because you believed at some level you'd be that person someday. Well, for all of us here, you're not going to be that person you're created to be in every area until you believe it, until you think it. And so that starts with thoughts. Well, what do those thoughts do? They allow you to have actions towards the person you're created to be. What thoughts should you align with? Well, start with your "I Am" statement. I do affirmations, and I tell everybody to do affirmations multiple times a day, because life happens multiple times a day. Thoughts happen multiple times a day. And so I remind myself of who I'm created to be with my "I Am" statement, again, that's the affirmation you're going to use aligned with who you are. The second thing, and this will be the last for us right now, what are the words that you're saying? Interesting things about vocalization and words, they do two things. They confirm who you believe you are, and they give you instructions to live out. Cognitively, your brain listens to what you're saying, and it finds ways of aligning with that. So when you're minimizing who you are, when you're maximizing the issues and challenges in your life, you're focusing on the things you can't control and the ones that hold you back. When I continue to speak towards the things that I am and who I am, and those same vocalizations are in the things that I'm going to do. I am a person of solutions and answers. I find quality answers for every problem that I walk through. You're going to give yourself instructions to live them out. They align with your thoughts, align with who you're created to be. Your "I Am" statement, and now that man or woman starts to show up in every area of your life. What's your "I Am" statement? What are you telling yourself, your thoughts are either aligning with who you're created to be, or they're lying to you, and it's the same with your words. What actions are you giving yourself to live out? What confirmation have you given of who you believe you are? They're either aligned with your "I Am" statement and who you're created to be, or they're lying to you. The more you tell yourself the truth, the more you see yourself show up as a hero that you're created to be.Lesley Logan 32:51  Oh, my freaking goodness, so good. I love all these I'm really into it. We just had someone, I just interviewed who actually was talking about, we have to redefine words we're saying to ourselves, because oftentimes we'll say something, it's like rephrase it or redefine it, because the words you say matter and they make a big difference. So this is a double dose. It's a sign everyone that you have, that we all need to be doing this.Lesley Logan 33:13  So Mark Collins, thank you so much. You guys, the book is Life Mastery. So is the course. Please take a look at his amazing work, re-listen to this. And I think we all have a friend who needs to hear this. I think we all do. I already can't wait for Brad to hear it. So please share this with a friend, because and only will that change their life. And here's the thing, when your friends' lives change, and they start to be more positive and they don't have imposter syndrome, you do too. We are the average of people we hang out with, so it's really important that we help other people be it till they see it. So thank you all so very much, and until next time, Be It Till You See It. Based on the legend of Pope Joan.By professor98. Listen to the Podcast at Steamy Stories. The following account is fiction, which is based on the well-documented Legend of Pope Joan, the first, and last female Pope of the Catholic Church. As this story took place in the ninth century of the Christian era, or Year of our Lord; many of the terms are from ancient languages. Words such as slitten, which is Old English for slit, and sheath, later referred to as ‘cunny' or cunt. Although the specific accounts were not taken down on paper, the story refers to certain facts in which the legend was based. In the year of our lord, 823 A D, a girl, Joanna Wellen was born in a small village not far from Salisbury Plain in southern England. He mother died due to complications of the birth. As she grew, she would often visit Stonehenge, with her father who treated her with great love and affection. Stonehenge was a religious center, and an astronomical observatory; which lay not far from their village. It was used as a place of worship, especially by the surfs and peasants who were not allowed to attend Church. In those days in England and Europe for that matter, females were considered worthless and only good for birthing babies, cooking, scrubbing and cleaning for a man. They were not allowed to go to school, as society thought them incapable of learning.Joanna grew up as a scullery maid and worked on her Father's farm for years. From the time she learned to speak, Joan always wanted to learn about everything, so when she was fifteen and began to clean house for the village schoolteacher, they became friends and when she was not working, she begged him to teach her to read.As her father loved her very much, he had no complaints regarding her studies, and invited the schoolteacher for supper, four evenings a week in payment for teaching her. After several years, the schoolteacher, one Edmund Beddus was married to a fairly well to do somewhat older widow, Gwendolyn Vaughan, who's late husband was killed in a horseback ridding accident. It was not well known at the time; however he was drunk. As Edmund didn't earn much money, he jumped at the chance to marry Gwendolyn, mostly for her stature and wealth. After a while, Gwendolyn became angry due to the attention Edmund paid to Joan and threatened him with a divorce. Edmond ended his three-year relationship with the girl, and she had to return all of the books she had borrowed. The young village priest Father Paul had always seen Joan walking with a book in her hands and was taken with her beauty. One day he saw her passing the church, however she had no book. He called to her and said,"Are you no longer reading Joan?""I no longer have books available to me, Father." She said."Well Joan, if ever you wish books to read again, feel free to come by the rectory after supper and I will let you read some that belong to the church."This was a very special offer as there were no libraries and all books were written by hand. It would be six hundred years before; Johannes Gutenberg would invent moveable type and print his first bible. The following evening, after making supper for her Father, Joan walked to the church and knocked on the rectory door. Father Paul answered and invited her in. As the parish was pour, they only had four books. One was a bible, the second was a book called, "Entrance to Heaven", which was a guide for priests. The third and fourth were written in Latin, a language in which Joan had no knowledge. Father Paul told her to be seated by the fire, picked up the book in Latin and began to read."When a priest has a craving for a physical union, it is the duty of all females to give themselves to him willingly. This is the law of God. Sexual union is God's reward to everyone who follows his decrees. The female shall spread her legs wide and allow the priest to enter her with his phallic member."Father what is a phallic member?""All males have a phallic member Joan. It is the essence of a man.""I have no knowledge of such essence. What will it do?""It is the instrument that will allow a female to see God.""Do you have your phallic member with you Father Paul?""Yes, I do.""May I see it Father?""Of course my child."Father Paul lifted his short tunic and revealed his penis and testicles. Joan was very interested and asked how she would be able to see God, with his instrument. The Father invited her to repose on his bed of straw, and he would display the power of his essence. When she complied, Father Paul knelt down and lifted her tattered dress, revealing her slitten, the entrance to her passageway. As he spread her legs, Joan wondered what he was doing and why. In her eighteen years she had never heard of this type of ritual, and wondered who had written the book.Kneeling between Joan's legs, Paul stripped off his tunic and was naked before her; his member became erect and was pointing toward the ceiling. As he bent forward, and guided his penis toward the opening to her vagina, she wondered if she would really see God. A priest would never lie to her, she thought. As Father Paul rubbed the large head of his phallus up and down her damp slitten, she became more interested in his movements. They felt strangely pleasing, and her slitten began to tickle and was becoming very warm, and wet. She had felt nothing like this in her short life.It was wonderful and caused her to breath harder. Slowly Paul began to move his penis into her vagina and she screamed in pain. It felt as though he was entering her with a double-egged sword. She knew right then, she was about to see God, as his phallus would surly end her life. She had never experienced a pain such as this. Father Paul was deep into her vagina, and moving fast as she lay under him, her tears flowed down her cheeks as she waited for impending death. However as he continued to move, her pain was subsiding and pleasure was replacing it. She believed that Father moving his phallus in and out of her; was devoid of wisdom and good sense.Other than a nice feeling from between her legs, the whole process seemed fruitless, and a bit pointless. He continued for some time and pointless as the process appeared to be, she was developing a wonderful feeling in her belly. Father Paul was creating a desire, which previously Joan had no knowledge of. Her belly was tingling as the Father continued his thrusts, his phallus sliding in and out of her passageway. She found herself lifting her legs, then wrapping them around Father Paul's legs, pulling him tight into her channel. As he continued, Joan's feelings for the young Father were growing at an alarming rate and her need for some kind of satisfaction was increasing. Her emotions were on a never ending latter, climbing to the sky.Without any warning, Joan felt herself begin to discharge juices with a force. She felt fulfillment and gratification of an unknown desire and appetite, which lifted her to extreme pleasure and contentment.Father Paul had not yet discharged his essence and doubled his efforts. As Joan felt his increasing movements in to her, desire began to grow again almost exponentially and she held him tight to her. Father Paul called out to heaven,"Oh Lord my God, I am your humble servant and I do your bidding."Joan felt a new gush of liquid, however it wasn't coming from her, it was coming from Father Paul. The feeling was beautiful in design and execution, and although she did not see God, she believed she was closer to him. The whole occurrence was a delicacy as to arouse intense delight, and satisfaction. Joan cared little to see God, as she was taking great pleasure and delight in his glory.Suddenly a reoccurrence of her discharge began, and she was lifted beyond the bounds of Earth. Her blood ran hot as her juices flowed once again."Your phallus is as you said Father, truly the essence of man, and God.""Remember Joan, although my member, my penis, from the Latin, if you will, is a wonderful instrument. It would be useless without your marvelous passage of desire. My penis requires your vagina to achieve its primary and sacred function. Without woman, man has little purpose in life. It is God's design."Joan knew that her existence had taken a new direction. She was truly a daughter of God, and would do everything necessary to fulfill the Heavenly Father's design. As Father Paul lay in coitus relaxen, a Latin term for rest after sexual intercourse, Joan lifted his depleted penis and examined it carefully. She found a hidden beauty within its current state, although it was much more useful when it was swollen to a larger size. She felt closer to Father Paul than she had to any individual, except maybe her own Father. The closeness was of course the feeling most women would feel to a man; who brought her such euphoria and intense pleasure. Joan felt compelled to pay homage to his member and leaned down to kiss it.It had a strange yet inexplicable odor. Not a bad odor, but one, which could not be described. She had detected a similar odor before when the farm animals were ready for breeding. Joan kissed Father Paul's member on the tip once again, and suddenly it began to throb and swell. As she unexpectedly enjoyed the taste, she slid the head of his penis into her mouth, and for some unknown, but natural desire, began to suck on it.Father Paul squirmed in delight feeling something wonderful which he only had knowledge of, during confessions of travelers to the Far East. It was told to him that Egyptian girls reveled in sucking a man's penis, and excelled in elevating a man to an ultimate level of fulfillment and gratification.Strangely he had never heard of an English female performing such a wonderful service. This was something that God and the Church made no mention of, possibly because it had nothing to do with reproduction.Joan now had a challenge and believed she would be able to master it. As she sucked the Priest's penis he moaned, apparently enjoying her oral stimulation causing him arousal, and intense pleasure beyond that of which she provided with her vagina. The priest took hold of Joan's head and moved his hips upward in a masterful manner, emulating copulation.Joan was now eager to give the young priest something he would continue to desire, throughout their newly found friendship. As she sucked him, her hand took hold of his testicles and fondled them as one might do with a favorite pet. The priest in return moaned and mewed letting her know how much the manipulations of her mouth on his penis were appreciated. With little warning the priest began to spray his bodily secretions into her mouth with a degree of fluidity that surpassed his previous performance. Joan sat up wondering what was to be done with Father Paul's essence. Would it be a sin to expel it from her mouth? As it was a gift from God, she wondered what she should do. Father Paul saw the questioning expression on Joan's face and said,"Swallow it, Joan. God would want nothing less. Essence is too important to be splattered on the floor."Although the creamy liquid felt wonderful in her mouth, she followed directions and allowed the liquid to slowly slide down her throat. Although a bit salty, the essence was also sweet. A fascinating combination she thought."Do you want me to continue reading, Joan?""No. Not tonight as I believe Morpheus, the ancient Roman god of sleep and dreams, is calling to me. May I return after supper on the morrow, Father Paul?""Of course my child. You may visit me any time you desire, and I will teach you everything I have knowledge of."Joan joins a priest, who is entertaining another person.Joan slept the sleep of chastity, although she knew that she was no longer a maiden, and deserved little satisfactory sleep. She could not understand why she had such wonderful feelings throughout her body. Apparently it was God's desire, and he was pleased with her actions. She spent the day, milking the cows, currying the horses, cooking and cleaning. She fed all of the animals and cleaned their stalls, while her father worked in the fields planting vegetables. They broke for the mid-day meal and sat together while eating. Her Father asked,"Joan, what did you learn at the church with Father Paul, last eve?""Father Paul read to me from a large book in Latin. I learned about God's design and the essence of man. He also taught me how man should best serve God, and what God expects of his children.""My daughter is such a wonderful student; and has an admirable mind, unlike her ignorant father.""Father, if it was not for your understanding and love for me, I would never have learned to read and write. You are not ignorant and I love you.""Are you going to the church tonight little one?""Yes father, if that would be convenient for you. There is much work to be done.""Of course my daughter, although I feel you deserve some enjoyment and rest. You work here all the day, then study hard after dark. A girl should also have some good times in her young life.""Believe me Father, the enjoyment I have received from God's love has been wonderful and fulfilling. My life has found new meaning and absolute pleasure. Are you remaining home on this eve?No, I plan to go to the public house and have a tall glass of warm Ale.""In moderation, father. Do not forget your last venture to the public house. You were unable to get out of bed long past sunrise.""Yes daughter, I recall. I will only have a pint or so."Father and daughter then parted company. Joan washed the dishes, swept the floors, and then went out to feed the hogs. He father returned to his planting. They would have a good harvest on the year.Supper came and went. As night fell, Joan fed the fireplace and as the light danced on the walls of the room, she wondered if Father Paul would elevate her with his phallus and essence. Taking a torch from its storage place, she shoved the end of it into the fire. The tip burned brightly, warming her face.Leaving the house, she trudged up the path, in the dark toward the rectory. Upon arriving, Joan opened the door and walked in. Father Paul was naked and laying on top of her close friend Lily, a postulate, or nun-in-training. His phallus was deeply imbedded in her sheath.Joan stood there and watched as Father Paul continued to enter into and permeate her vagina, helping her temporarily ascend to heaven's gate. Lily was much involved in Father Paul's God-like movements, and was sinking her nails in his back, moaning loud and mumbling,"More Father Paul, more. Send me to see God."Joan sat in a chair, next to the bed of straw and watched as the Father's penis slid in and out of her friend. Everything seemed to be very wet and coated with a viscous liquid, and a small amount of blood. Joan wondered if it would be better for her to withdraw, as Father was fully involved in her friend."Joan", said Paul. "Please disrobe and join us in the bed. We can all do the Lord's work together."Quickly, as Father Paul began to eject his essence into the young girl, she moaned loudly and began to squirt her juices, pumping them past Father's penis and onto his testical sack. She stated to the priest; "More Father Paul, please do more. I want God to love me.""God does love you, my child, more than most women, whom would refuse to share their sacred passage with the sons of the church."Joan shed her clothing and joined the couple on the bed of straw, which was covered with a sheet like covering. Father rolled off of the girl as she lay in a semi unconscious state, moaning lightly.Joan took hold of Paul's phallus and began to stroke it as she had done the evening prior. It took some patient time and affectionate gestures of fondness, however when his penis again became tumescent, Joan lifted her leg over him and eased down onto his lap, allowing his coccus to impale her tight moist vagina. She moved front to back, feeling the priest's huge member inside of her, thanking God in a little prayer for bringing such knowledge and pleasure to her.She was full of cheer as she thought there would be more pain associated with another coupling, however she now understood that the

My name is Austin Adams, and thank you so much for listening today. On today's episode, we are going to be discussing how the same man who was just arrested in the election day terror plot, Was actually given a visa, a special visa under the Biden and Harris administration.  Then we will be moving on to our next subject, which is that president Trump just went on to Andrew Schultz's podcast and he continues to go on these podcasts, which I think is probably the best move we saw Kamala do this in like the worst way ever when she went on the call her daddy podcast, which is a female centric sex podcast,  and now Trump just continuing to go on. Um,  the largest shows in the country without making himself look like a fool. So we'll look at some of those clips and what they discussed. Then we'll move on to Reddit banning the forum dedicated to sharing information about Thomas Crooks. Now, why would they want to do that? I wonder. We'll talk about that too. Uh, then we had the university of Kansas professor that was, uh, discussing in front of his class on a recorded call,  talking about Trump supporters and how they should be lined up and shot. And there is some breaking news about his position at that university that we will discuss as well. Then we'll move on to a clip that just came out of the. President, vice president, presidential candidate, Harris, who is in a live interview, and there's been all this speculation about the earrings that she wore during the debate. She's been wearing them literally every interview since, and she's on a zoom call and she says something that alludes to. What everybody's thinking and believes, which is that somebody is feeding her all this information.  Then the last conversation we will have is around Hurricane Milton that just struck Florida last night.  Now we'll look at some of the devastation, some of the conversations surrounding it. Wasn't as big as we thought, doesn't look like it, but I'm sure there is still some terrible terrible destruction in its wake. So we'll look at that. And then we'll also discuss the response from the current  president, as well as the VP. And the last clip will be around Biden discussing  them controlling the weather.  Are you a conspiracy theorist?  Probably if you listen to the show. All right, head over there. Check out our products, the EMF blocking Faraday hat, the RFID blocking wallets, and the Faraday phone sleeve. Can't forget about the beanies as well. So head over there. Ronan basics. com and without further ado, let's jump  into it. Alright,  the very first topic that we're going to discuss today is that there was a immigrant who was arrested,  arrested in an election day terror attack. So allegedly him and another individual were going to go to the elections. Uh, and Cause mass, mass, mass.  Terror  by killing as many people as possible becoming martyrs. But let's go ahead and read this article comes from the post millennial says the Afghan man arrested Tuesday by the FBI for allegedly convinced by allegedly concocting an election day terror plot was allowed to enter the United States of America as a special immigrant in September of 2021. Nasir Ahmad  Tahiti, 27 entered The US with a special visa during the Biden Harris administration's chaotic and botched American withdrawal. Now, one thing that I have to question is how concerned should we be about this happening by somebody else? Now, if there's one plot, there's probably two plots.  There's all of these immigrants that are here that are here for a reason, right? Maybe some of them are here to, to improve their family's situation and outcome. Maybe some of them are here to, I don't know, move drugs. and human trafficking. Maybe some of them are here to escape a gang ridden country that they come from,  which is great. Do it legally, right? Do it legally should absolutely be able to immigrate here just like almost every one of our ancestors did.  However, the amount that have come over the border in the last four years alone  is saying is the same amount of people as One to two states combined 10 million. The number has been thrown down 16 to 20 million now immigrants in our country. And when you understand that the total population is roughly 330 million,  that starts to become a big issue, right? Especially when we talk about housing. We talk about jobs, we talk about inflation, homeless crisis, uh,  you name it, this will exacerbate the issue.  Now one issue that we can kind of foresee as a result of this is the amount of terrorists and gang affiliated members. We saw this with all the Venezuelan gangs, we saw this now with this Islamic state group, ISIS, right? So they've been sending people here and they are going to attempt these things. Yeah.  This year, Ahmad Tawheedi entered the U. S. with a special visa during the Biden Harris administration,  during the botched American withdrawal from Afghanistan that says that saw 13 U. S. personnel killed and billions of dollars in military hardware left to the Taliban. The FBI has charged Tawhidi with conspiring and attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State group. He allegedly confessed to the FBI that he and a juvenile co conspirator were planning an election day terrorist attack on large crowds, and both were anticipating Islamic martyr deaths. Tawhidi had reportedly wrapped up his affairs, liquidated his assets, and bought a one way ticket for his wife and child to fly back to Afghanistan. Tawhidi could be sentenced to 35 years in prison.  Uh,  Let's see what else here it says on October 7th FBI assets allegedly caught Tahiti and the juvenile at a rural location in Western District, Oklahoma, where they had purchased, received, and took possession of two AK 47s, 10 magazines, and 500 rounds of ammunition.  The Department of Justice news released explained upon receiving the rifles and ammunition. Tahiti and the juveniles were arrested. I wonder how they like, what kind of went into that,  but  this is just the beginning guys. This is just the beginning.  The men who were going to attack American citizens on the election day that were caught by the FBI were immigrants allowed here under Biden and Harris. And this is the one of many attacks that we can assume that we're going to see. One of many, because what are these people here for? How many other terrorists, how many terrorists, other affiliated people are here?  How many of these attacks are already planned?  And who's responsible for this?  Well, I think we own the answer to that. And it's the, the, the organizers of this mass illegal migration, the ones who are paying people, busing them in, sending them to states. We, we do not understand, like I, there was a good quote that I saw the other day, it said something about,  it said something about  the people who run our country, the people, the people who run the world are either naive and stupid. Or  I got to look at the quote, but there's a great quote around it. And the idea is that they're maliciously doing this or they're that dumb, right? Do they want people to be having massive terrorist attacks? I would hope not. What I, what the issue is, is very likely. And I think everybody agrees on this at this point is the reason that there's this mass migration is they want to flood the States, the battleground States with immigrants. Go look at where these people have gone and settled  the number one States.  Michigan, Pennsylvania, Illinois, right? All of the states that they want to flood with new citizens and not, and maybe they're not even thinking about this generation. Maybe, maybe they aren't even thinking about, Oh, how am I going to get this generation to vote for me? No, it's two generations from now, four election cycles. They're thinking ahead because if they get an immigrant husband and a wife here, and they have a child here, Regardless of the situation, that child gets immigrant status. That child gets granted a green card. That child is now a American citizen doesn't even need a green card.  Now what now that child generally like 70 percent of people, 80 percent of people stay in the state that they were born in, especially if they're low income.  Now,  what let's see four election cycles, five election cycles later, that person's 20. And they're voting Democrat.  So they look at these numbers and they say, okay, if we get 10 million people  here, we send 2 million to Michigan. We send 2 million to Pennsylvania of those, that million that settles. I think it was 770, 000 in Michigan. Of that 770, 000, there's 350, 000 couples who are going to have an average of two kids, which is another 770, 000 people.  And in five election cycles,  the same state that we lost by a margin of 20, 000 votes now has 700, 000 more people in poverty who are 80 percent likely to vote Democrat.  So they're not playing checkers here and they, maybe they are,  maybe they are that stupid to think that if they flood these illegal immigrants here and maybe they're not that stupid to think that they can get them to vote without voter ID, which we know happens.  But even so, the biggest problem is going to be that our country is going to be taken over, taken over by people who do not share the same values as us,  who did not grow up in a democratic society,  adhere to Sharia law, who are stopping women from going to school. They can't drive cars, they can't show their face, Right?  It's unbelievable. And this is just the beginning. This is just the beginning of these terrorist attacks. This is just the beginning of the gang issues that we're going to see with these Venezuelan gangs, MS 13, cartels,  because of the border.  Moving on.  Trump went on to Andrew Scholl's podcast,  Flagrant,  and I think this is brilliant. I think he should have been doing this all along. Podcasts are the news of today. There's far more people that listen to a podcast than that listen to the news. Makes sense, right? People trust podcasts, like 80 percent of the 80 percent of people pulled, trust a podcast compared to like 16 percent of people that were pulled, trusted traditional news media.  So if that's where people are  and that's where people's trust are, then maybe you should go to the people that are genuine and have those conversations there. And that's what Trump's done.  And this says president Trump Schultz podcast was widely celebrated on social media with supporters of the 2020 24 GOP nominee during Trump as the funniest president in American history.  Uh, the unfiltered interview released on Wednesday and published to Axe, formerly Twitter, covered a range of topics.  Uh, let's watch some of the clips. Don't really care about their opinion on it.  Let's see.  And, here we go.  Elon interviewed me on something. And I think they said 275 million hits. That's  a lot of people. That was a wreck. That's a nation. Yeah. But it's a whole new different way of, uh, Can I ask you a question? Getting the word out, right? About Elon specifically. Is he your favorite African American? You know, he's a great guy  with, I mean, he's obviously a brilliant guy. Yeah. I mean, when I saw the rocket engines come back, I said, what is that? Like a couple of years ago, you know, I've seen rockets go up and then they crash into the water and I see the, the engines are coming back and they're landing, they're landing and they land on a raft in the middle of the ocean someplace with a little dot and they land right on the top of the spot.  Alright, one thing to say.  Imagine getting interviewed by President Trump and crossing your legs like that in front of him. How dare you, Andrew Schulz? How dare you? Wearing high  Wearing half White socks halfway up your shin and crossing your legs.  Like you are running in a marathon in New York. The little dot and they land right on the top of the spot. And my wife can't parallel park.  Most people can't.  But no, he's great. But he's got a great heart. He was with me, as you know, on the other night. Yeah. And we were honoring a man who got killed at a rally. Corey, firefighter, great guy. And it was a beautiful evening. But Lee, Elon  went out. Yeah. And he loved the crowd. He loves the country. And he's picked a side. A lot of people don't want to pick a side. I have a lot of people that are  Big supporters of me. Yeah, but they they won't go all out. You know, they they can't  Yeah, there's a car. Yeah  There is of course, but there's also a liability I mean, you know some people I respected a lot when this guy was up there doing jumping jacks You gotta vote for Trump. You gotta  Yeah. He was jumping high. He looked quite African.  He's in good shape. I look, I'm looking at his waist, I'm saying, wait a minute, does he work out or something?  But he's, he is, he really, and he had a, he had a great time.  This is quite a dangerous interview for Trump, by the way. Like, Andrew Scholes is not, uh, not, not setting him up for failure here with a few of the jokes that he's already made trying to see if Trump will bite. But, uh, do him all so far. And, you know, he's, he's not out that much. He's probably, maybe a little, would you say he's a little reclusive, possibly? He's also busy. He's got like five different companies. He's very busy and maybe a little reclusive. Yeah. He had the greatest time. He was saying, look at these people. We had a hundred thousand, more than a hundred thousand. It was a record. It was nobody's ever said, and it was, it was a celebration of a life. And it was really a mega, it was a mega deal. He was a big mega person. His family was there and two other people that were very badly hurt were also celebrated. They were very badly hurt. They weren't actually expected to live. Yeah. And they live, and, uh, they had incredible doctors. Some of those country doctors are better than the big doctors that we spend a lot of money on, and they don't do as good. I will tell you right now. I don't want to knock anybody, but those country doctors saved two people, because I was told that three would Country doctors? No, think of that. Three would be in trouble, and three were gonna, now, quarry immediately, but the other two were so bad that they thought they wouldn't make it. Yeah. Yeah. And, uh, those country doctors, they pulled them, they pulled them together. They did a great job.  All right. So there's one, let's take a look at another one. Uh,  here we go. There is a question, but there's also a liability. I mean, you know, some people I respected a lot when this guy was up there doing jumping jacks, you got to vote.  Also what we just watched and here's about Biden.  Over the last week, I have to, well, we talk about funny or sad. I think it's more sad than funny. Yeah. He has one ability I don't have. Yeah.  He sleeps. He can sleep. This guy goes on a beat,  and he lays down on one of those, you know, six ounce, they weigh six ounces and he can't lift it. They're meant,  they're meant for, they're meant for children, young people, and old people to lift. They're aluminum, you know, hollowed aluminum. They weigh very little. And he can't lift, and somebody convinced him he looks great in a bathing suit. And when you're 82, typically bathing suits aren't gonna make you look great. Right, right. You're not gonna be enhanced. Yeah. Alright? It's just one of those things. I can't be sure about that, but  typically you don't Depends what he's packing. I don't know what the hell he's packing, but it's I don't wanna know. And I don't wanna know either. I don't know. But, but He has an ability to fall asleep while on camera. He can lie down on one of those things, and in minutes, he's stone cold out. And he's got cameras, because he's the president, so they have cameras on him. And then they show him sleeping on the beach.  You'll never see me sleeping in front of a camera.  Oh,  and last one here. Let's go ahead and  see which one. Let's watch this right here.  Get up. How much did China buy today? Sir, they bought. I'd call him up and say you're behind. You have to buy 50 billion. Do you think Biden does that? Biden's sleeping.  But I, over the last week, I have, what we talk about, funny or sad. I think it's more sad than funny.  He has one ability I don't have. Yeah. Yeah, so that's the last thing. Alright, so,  He's holding his own, right? He's on a comedy podcast and seems to be getting the comedians to laugh. Now, one thing I think he talks about there, which is true. We see a lot of the battles between Trump and Biden died down now, which a lot of people have talked about this. If that man was your grandpa, you would just be pissed that they're putting him in this position. You would be mad that they're, they're putzing this old man around and pretending like he's actually doing a job that he's not doing.  And it's honestly pathetic that our country is doing that to him in the deep state, which is, we all know why we've talked about it before. He's a puppet. He can be controlled at a whim. Um, there's too much, too much dirt. There's too many, you know, too, too many, uh, pieces of blackmail out there on him that have been discussed, but, uh, you know, we all know the reason why. Same reason they have Kamala there. They can control them.  And so moving on.  Reddit bans forum dedicated to sharing information about would be Trump assassin Thomas Crooks. So  Thomas Crooks, the assassin of Donald Trump had a Reddit forum named after him where people were sharing all of this information, all of this information about the attempt of assassination, uh, trying to figure out who was he, was this the person that they're saying he is, was it somebody else trying to figure out this conspiracy  and Reddit took it down.  Why would they do that?  Why would they do that? People sharing information about a presidential assassination. So it says a forum dedicated to sharing information about would be assassin Thomas Crooks has been banned from Reddit. Crooks was killed by snipers after launching an assassin, but yeah, we know.  It violated rules against posting violent content, they say. And that archive of the subreddit shows it was a popular forum that generated high level engagement.  And the posts issued on the forum vary, but all pertain to seeking answers and sharing information about the historical assassination attempt.  Questions about Crook's security failures that day and whether the attempt was an inside job were discussed in the section before the ban. Reddit did not  provide any example of the violent content shared that went against the company's policies.  Reddit is the latest news website to block information from being shared. Now, we remember with the last one, During this one, we remember Fox News live censoring the discussion in a congressional hearing, which I didn't know was even allowed, right? They're calling it a live feed  of a public official's discussion in our government. I guess they're a private company and they can do whatever they want. But actively, during the live feed, cutting the feed when a question was asked about the multiple shooters theory.  And I'm sure these people were getting somewhere. That's what we're seeing in today's modern society where they cannot, we see it with the hurricane. We see it with every one of these things. They cannot, they can no longer control the narrative. The narrative has gotten out of control. I, I heard a, a comparison during a podcast recently where they talked about how the church loved the printing press, originally loved the printing press, and because they could print all these bibles and get the word out about what the, and, and frame the discussions in the way that they wanted to, but then.  Then other people were using that to spread information about the church's corruption.  And they didn't seem to like it anymore. Right? They, they, they called for people to stop using it. And that's what we're seeing with social media, right? They, they created these social platforms to control us with narratives. They created these social platforms so that they could push out propaganda. And now they've lost control of it. We are, we are winning the information war where the minute a hurricane comes out and we see the response from, from our government,  we're able to see right through it, look up the patents and see that this could not, this could be potentially not as natural as we thought it was.  The government is now scrambling, scrambling, setting up intermediary, uh, discussion forums with social media platforms, trying to censor every conversation that, that poses a threat to their narrative,  scrambling, because they created something that they no longer control. And  people are seeing through all of their propaganda now. We can no longer be influenced the way that we were just 15 years ago.  And so it says Google scrubbed the assassination attempt from its auto complete search engine. Facebook warned against sharing photos of President Trump raising his fist in the air after the rally, falsely alleging that they were AI generated. In following accusations of election interference by the Trump campaign  and Republican lawmakers, both big tech corporations have since fixed their faults.  But they're all doing it. They're doing it still. And they're doing it subtly. They're not doing it the same way that they were with mass censorship campaigns the way that they were during COVID because there's not as much profitability in this. And if they lose, they're going to be in trouble.  We've talked about how Trump needs to just come out and say, Hey, whoever is lying, whoever is lying in these news media organizations, I'm going to come after you.  And if that was on the other side, maybe that's a concern, right? Maybe you say, and maybe it should be a concern from our side. Maybe he shouldn't go after them.  But It's absolutely election interference. If you're  putting yourself in a position where you are influencing the election,  putting yourself in a position where you are propping up one candidate and you're the single largest purveyor of information in the country and what you're censoring is true, factually true, that can be proven in the court of law.  So  pretty crazy. Hopefully they move the forum somewhere else.  Well, let's see if anybody has anything to say about this. Doesn't look like it.  But I wonder why they would do that. Maybe because they were getting somewhere.  As simple as that. Maybe, maybe a single post, a single position, a single picture, a single comparison, a single paragraph could have been the reason that Reddit pulled this down. Because they don't want to let you know the truth. They do not want you finding it out.  Why would they not want that? There's plenty of violent Reddit threads. There's plenty of violence on X. This is the reason that X is so important.  And despite the constant barrage of violence on X, I still like to utilize it. And I'm still trying to grow my platform there. Go check it out. The Austin J Adams on X.  But I think that the violence on X is actually a psyop. There's constantly on X people getting killed. There's all these hyper violent videos that are being shared, just pushed right into your face within two seconds, you're going to see somebody, you know, they don't even give you time to scroll or tell you what's about to happen. And you'll see somebody get like beat up or stabbed or something crazy. And it hasn't been as bad in the last few weeks, but I think that's absolutely a sign up. I absolutely think that there is, uh, these accounts that are hyper violent on acts are being pushed to want to get people off of the platform and to create a narrative around the platform that is negative. I don't think that those are actually people who, at least the largest of the accounts are actually people who are wanting to just continually push. Super crazy, violent videos. I think that those videos are specifically being pushed onto X so that they can continue their narrative about it being an unsafe place for free speech and a violent platform with antisemitism. All they have to do is create all these bot accounts that they pay overseas and then push out all the videos to suit the narrative that they want with faceless accounts. None of those videos that are being pushed by people like that ever are from an individual. They're always from  Some 18 plus this, whatever this, like they're just paying people to pump out media so that it suits their narrative so they can go after Trump and push it as this crazy unhinged platform.  But we need that platform for situations exactly like this, where people can have discussions, figure things out outside of traditional media without any censorship.   All right, now moving on here, there was a University of Kansas professor who sat in front of a recorded classroom session and said that Trump voters should be lined up And mass murdered.  But then he goes, Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa. I think we should cut that one from the recording.  Now, this man, let's see, Professor Phil Lowcock.  Not sure that applies here. Professor Phil Lowcock, the director of international student athlete support who works at the university's  sport and exercise science department.  In this article says a professor of the University of Kansas, let's go ahead and watch the clip first, because let's just give our own context around it here. But let's go ahead and watch this clip.  Guys are smarter than girls. You got some serious problems.  Uh,  that's what frustrates me.  Let's see not getting any volume here   All right, here we go. And here is the clip.  That's what frustrates me. There are going to be some males in our society that will refuse to vote for a potential female president because they don't think females are smart enough to be president.  We could line all those guys up and shoot them. They clearly don't understand  the way the world works.  Did I say that? Scratch that from the recording. I don't want the deans hearing that I said that.  Now his point there was, there's going to be certain men, only men are going to not vote for Kamala Harris, which again is an insult to the intelligence of women.  Also, more so than what you're saying about men voting for women, or yeah, men aren't going to vote for women because they think they're dumb. No, maybe we think Kamala Harris is incompetent. If you throw Tulsi Gabbard up there, I would have been highly interested. I think she should have been the running mate of Trump. I think Kamala is incompetent. I think Kamala is unintelligent. I don't think Kamala is well equipped to take office.  But for this man, a professor, the people who are educating your children, you are paying money, a university, this isn't even a community college with some stupid professor. This man was chosen. He may very well have tenure, right? Maybe not now that we see what the result of this is, but  how, how unbelievable. This is something that if you would have looked back and this should be historically looked back on as The same way that we look back on some of the biggest atrocities ever and how they unfolded, right? This professor in a university is on recording saying Trump supporters should be lined up in shot.  That's where we've gotten to. And this is supposed to be the tolerant left, right? This is supposed to be the party of tolerance.  And we've seen that they're exactly the opposite of that. Right?  Right. We've seen that they, they are the ones who are calling for violence. They are the ones who are slinging insults. They are the ones who are going in front of our children and claiming that you should shoot people based on their political ideology. That is not what our country is founded on.  I love people who are Republicans. I love people who are Democrats. I love people who are libertarians, who are  everything in between.  None of none of them should have violence inflicted upon them because of their political leanings.  And what you have to understand about people's political leanings is very often than not, and I did a whole episode on this and like the predeterminants of your political voting.  There's a lot of factors that go into your, your vote that come from where you come from, the state you were born in, the parents you were born to your socioeconomic status, your, uh, your job, your education level. There's so many predeterminants of this to just say, Oh, all those people are bad people and they should be murdered.  That sounds like something out of  Nazi Germany.  All that class over there should be lined up and murdered. Mass murder, genocide for political ideology. That's what this professor wants.  Now he has since been put on leave.  It says after the video was uploaded on X. Let's see if there's a  Uh, after the video was uploaded on Axe formerly Twitter, there was a fury with calls for Professor Lowcock to be fired and resigned. Some users even wanted to see criminal charges be filed. I mean, it's literal incitement of violence. You're not allowed to say that you should do this to that. Like, yeah, you want to talk about speech that is maybe not imminent violence, but like it's pretty damn close. Maybe you shouldn't go to jail for it, but you should definitely be fired. And you shouldn't be representing a school and  educating children. Okay.  He needs to be fired immediately. It was bad enough. He said it, but then he tried to cover it up. One user said,  let's see what else we got here.  Somebody else says, what the hell is wrong with people? He should not be allowed to teach and should be investigated. This is one of the many reasons why colleges have become a scam and the money grab. Yep.  Uh, the university of Kansas released a statement after the backlash and announced that the professor administratively. Let's go ahead and read their statement here. It says a statement from the university regarding a classroom video. Here is the University of Kansas's response. And they said the university is aware of a classroom video in which an instructor made an inappropriate reference to violence. The instructor is being placed on administrative leave pending further investigation. The instructor offers his sincerest apologies and deeply regrets the situation. So they're probably not going to fire him. His intent was to emphasize his advocacy for women's rights and equality. And he recognizes he did a very poor job of doing so. The university has an established process for situations like this and will follow that process. Let's go ahead and see. What the actual response to this was because that's a crazy statement to then back him up and saying, Oh, he cares about women's rights. That's why he said you should line up and shoot an entire group of people.  Oh, and they eliminated,  eliminated people from making comments. How hilarious.  Of course they did because they don't want free speech.  So that is wild. That is crazy. And that's what we're paying tens of thousands of dollars for your children to be taught. By people like that. And then for the university to go and defend him. Oh, we're going to place him on administrative leave. Don't worry about it. But all he was trying to do is defend women's rights. No, all he was trying to do is say an entire half of the country should have a genocide committed against them for their political ideology. Now, speaking of  Kamala Harris's competency, there's a clip going around right now where Kamala Harris was on a zoom call. And on this Zoom call that Kamala Harris was on, she decides to cover her face and talk to somebody, somebody, who could that somebody be,  and say, It's a live broadcast. And the microphone picks it up.  People have speculated, I being one of them, One thing you'll notice about Kamala Harris is every single interview Kamala Harris has been a part of since the debate, she's wearing those same earrings, the same earrings that everybody is accusing her of having somebody in her ear telling her exactly what to say. Now we have confirmation of that.  In this clip, you will see Kamala Harris speaking to whoever that individual is that's inside of her ear, telling them that it's a live broadcast. Embarrassingly, because she didn't even know that they could pick it up on the microphone, which is hilarious. So let's go ahead and watch this video, and you'll hear her say right at the start of it, It's a live broadcast.  Here we go. Hear that?  We really got to watch those, those areas and those.  She covers her mouth like this and goes, it's a live broadcast to whoever she's speaking to. That's in her ear.  Who else would she be talking to?  Right? What does she, who, what are they trying to tell her there?  As my video goes away, let's go ahead and watch the rest of the clip and see if we can get a little bit more contacts.  It's a live broadcast. Listen for that.  Flood. Uh, I watch those, those areas in those communities, so it takes quite a while for that water to drain.  Thank you very much.  Hey Ken, I have a question for you. You, you mentioned words matter and um, I know there's a lot of, um, media following this, this briefing. So there have been, um,  we've gone from a Cat five to a cat now watch how much she struggles, which that a lot of folks have been using as downgrade. But it sounds like you're cautioning us that that may communicate a sense that the danger is lessened when, in fact, it's not. Can you talk a little bit about that? Because I know a lot of folks are watching right now and  would love to have your feedback on how we should be talking about this.  Already, we have sent more than 1, 000 federal personnel to be on the ground in Florida to assist with what needs to happen in the state to prepare for this hurricane. And we will continue to scale up those efforts.  To the people of Florida, and in particular, the people of the Tampa  region,  we urge you to take this storm seriously. As has been said before, this is a storm that is expected to be of historic proportion. And many of you, I know, are tough, and you've ridden out these hurricanes before. This one's going to be different.  And so we ask you that by every measure understand it's going to be more dangerous, more deadly, and more catastrophic. So please listen to your local Now you can see  In this clip, you can see the same earrings, the same earrings, the little pearls with the two gold hoops on or on the side of it, holding it in and they wiggle every time she moves her head. The same exact hearing, she has not taken these hearings off. And I want to go back and look at all the interviews prior to the debate and see if she ever wore these earrings prior to that, because I don't believe that that was the case. They're talking about they know what they're doing. And if you are told to evacuate, please evacuate immediately.  Wait, Kamala Harris said it might as well do it. And in the hours and days ahead, president Biden and I, and our administration will continue to do everything we can to protect the people who have been in the path of this storm. And once the storm has passed, we will be there to help folks recover and rebuild.  All right. Now discussing the hurricane here, let's go ahead and look at some of the discussions surrounding it and some of the damage.  Here's a video from Fox News, and his point is that they've turned this entire hurricane into a PR battle, right? None of the, there's zero genuine concern coming from Kamala or Biden. All they're worried about is the optics, that's all they've been worried about this entire time, and they've been scrambling to try and look like they've been doing anything at all to help the citizens, or that they actually care. And all they've seen the people talk about is how, um, They see right through it. Everybody knows that they don't really care. Everybody knows that they're just trying to make it appear as if they're doing enough or giving enough money, or they have the funds to be able to even help. And we all know that that's not true.  Here's the clip.  Out today and defended his administration's slow response to hurricane Helene, calling any criticism of it, disinformation and pointing fingers at Trump.  There's been reckless and irresponsible and relentless promotion of disinformation and outright lies about what's going on.  Former President Trump has led this onslaught of lies. Assertions have been made that property is being confiscated.  That's simply not true.  They're saying people impacted by these storms will receive 750 in cash and no more. That is simply not true either.  They're saying that money needed for these crises are being diverted to migrants. What the heck are they talking about? Stop it. It's outrageous. It's just not true. Biden's fighting Trump harder than the hurricane. If he should be angry at anybody, he should be angry at his team. They didn't pre position assets in North Carolina to help in the foothills. Just like Afghanistan and the border, the hurricane's now Trump's fault.  Americans have lost power, their homes. Some of them, even their husbands. They're not worried about what politicians say on TV. They are worried because they haven't seen FEMA all week.  Criticizing your government isn't misinformation. It's a God given right of every American.  Instead of battling to save lives, the Biden Harris administration is treating natural disasters like a PR battle. They need to be won with words instead of fast action.  There have always been issues, uh, in disasters. Maui, uh, certainly this, this happened where there's misinformation or there's scams, but we've never seen anything like we have at this level. The administration will also continue to work out, to, to work out and call out  misinformation. And conspiracy theories around the storm and federal and state responses. This is wrong, dangerous, and it must stop immediately. Are we concerned about any misinformation or disinformation regarding evacuations that we need to clear up at this point?  There's been a lot of misinformation out there, Madam Vice President, that's for sure. The only misinformation we've heard is that Biden's doing a great job. Oh, and if You just drive your electric car, cat five hurricanes will shrink into cat twos.  Americans are naturally suspicious of the government after they lied to us about, oh, I don't know, Vietnam, Iraq, COVID, Russia, the president's health.  This isn't a cheap fake. North Carolina sees the aftermath and Biden and Harris were late.  So let's look at one more clip about this and then we'll discuss it, which Biden, they cut it off early in that which they don't want to spread to spread the misinformation and malinformation. Let's go ahead and watch this, which is where Biden mentions the weather manipulation. Here it is. Now the claims are getting even more bizarre.  Congressman Marjorie Taylor Greene, a congresswoman from Georgia, is now saying the federal government is literally controlling the weather. We're controlling the weather.  It's beyond ridiculous. It's got to stop.  Moments like this, there are no red or blue states.  There's one United States of America where neighbors are helping neighbors. Volunteers and first responders are risking everything, including their own lives, to help their fellow Americans.  State, local, and federal officials are standing side by side. Let me repeat, no one should make the American people question whether their governments will make sure that this is acting on a strike. They'll be there.  What did he just say? No one, let me make this clear. Okay, make it clear. Tell me. No one should make the American people question  Make it clear. Let me repeat. No one should make the American people question whether their governments will make sure that this is act around strikes. They'll be there. We will. Now the claims are getting even more bizarre. No one should be, let me make this clear. Let me repeat this. No one should be Believing their government will be active in Shrana. People question whether their governments will be make this sure that this is active on a strike. We'll be making sure the actor amount of strikes, they'll be there. We they'll be there. We'll make the sure to act amount of strikes. We'll be there says Biden. Nobody should be concerned about their government.  Make the shirt a active amount of strikes. We'll be there.  Okay. Thank you so much. So going back to the original point here and the original clip where people are talking about it is he's sitting here trying to say, Oh, we wouldn't, we would never control the weather. How ridiculous, what a conspiracy theory. Well, when you go back and read the paperwork,  when you look at the long list of patents, when you go back and look at the long list of military history, where we did this very thing, when you go watch the Michio Kaku Discussion, I believe it was on CNN, discussing how we manipulated the weather in Vietnam. How we are actively looking for ways to shrink storms, grow storms, right? Oh, we stopped doing that, somebody said. I saw, I saw somebody post about this. And they said, well, we would never do that. We would never do that because there was dangers. And this was in a Ground. News article that was posted on social media. And said we would never do that because there was dangers of making them bigger. Yeah, bitch, you made it bigger. That's our claim. That was the whole claim. Yes, absolutely. You can manipulate the weather. Yes, absolutely. There is patents. Yes, absolutely. The FBI, the CIA, the government has in the past manipulated weather for their own purposes.  We saw it in Vietnam.  We saw it in China, we saw it in, there's, there's so many examples of this that we saw in our own Gulf Coast in the 1940s.  Example after example, and here he is sitting in front of you. You know, it's not, it's, that's all a conspiracy theory. Just like COVID was a conspiracy theory. Just like, you know, the election interference was a conspiracy theory. Just like the Hunter Biden laptop was a conspiracy theory. Just like the vaccine causing health issues was a conspiracy theory. Just like, Time after time after time after time again,  almost every one of these things. And I'm actually really surprised that Biden called this out. And the reason I'm surprised that he called this out is there's maybe 50 percent of the right that knows this or understands this, or is hearing about this weather manipulation.  That leaves a whole other 75 percent of the population who maybe hadn't heard about weather manipulation up until the point that Biden calls out and says, these conspiracy theorists mentioning weather manipulation. That was the, the worst thing Biden could have done about the weather manipulation was call it out on national television, because now the other 75 percent of people who weren't hearing about it, because you have all these liberals and Democrats in their own echo chambers, not using X, using Instagram, using whatever social media platforms, Tik TOK. Not hearing about the fact that our own government has been manipulating our weather for decades, almost almost an entire century now, over a century now, since 1916.  Now you're going to have people looking into it who weren't looking into it.  Just like people found out eventually, even if they were liberal, even if they were Democrats, that the vaccine was not the best choice for the family after you pushed it and pushed it and pushed it and pushed it.  That lockdowns didn't work. That mass didn't work.  That Vietnam was under false pretenses.  Right? So many examples of these conspiracies that the government said were conspiracies that ended up being true. And now him saying on national television that this is just a conspiracy theory, and these people are crazy, and this congresswoman is wrong, and so are all of you.  Now he's opened that door for so many people who would have never heard about that. And again, it is one of the worst things he could have done, is actually mention that on live television.  So, with that, I will leave you, my friends. I hope you have a wonderful day. The USA Women's Basketball Team managed to attract a mere 13,040 attendees at the game against Japan, the lowest number of all women's basketball games in Paris. This is Exhibit A of the effect of not having Caitlin Clark on the team. Despite that obvious bad decision, my guess is Team USA still doesn't care, and here's why.To watch on YouTube, click here. Please SUBSCRIBE, COMMENT, AND LIKE. The sleepoverBy NavyRigger - Listen to the Podcast at Steamy Stories.“Oh my God, Riza,” I moaned.“What! What's wrong,” she freaked."Nothing. Nothing at all. You taste absolutely amazing. So much so, I'm making another rule. Your pussy will be my dessert every night.”“Really?”, she said, blushing a light shade of pink.“Oh yeah. I'm serious, I've never tasted a woman as sweet as you. I am in pure bliss right now,” I said as I brought up my fingers and spread her vulva apart. As her vulva split, and I pulled back her clitoral hood, a swollen pink bean appeared in front of me. I leaned in and kissed her bare exposed clit and heard Riza gasp as her whole body jerked. I kissed it again and she moaned loudly. My tongue slid across it and her fingers gripped my hair as she moaned again. I placed my lips around her clit, and sucked a little, before flicking her pink bean with my tongue. Her hands tugged at my hair as I felt her thighs press into my cheeks. I finally stopped teasing her and flicked my tongue across her clit rapidly. She moaned with each breath as I relentlessly worked my tongue and mouth on her clit. I felt her legs shake and her body quiver as her sweet moans turned into screams of pleasure. Her legs locked around my head as her hips began to heave up and down, but I stayed glued to her clit, determined to make her orgasm. I hummed and she screamed out, hands leaving my head to claw at the bedsheets for some kind of purchase to stabilize her to the earth. Her thighs squeezed my head as her heels pushed into my upper back. I look up and watch as she arches her back and the look of pure ecstasy takes her over. After a few moments, she lets out a quivering breath and comes back down to earth.“Holy, fuck, Kurt,” she said between breaths, “Please promise to do that every night."I promise, baby. It'd be my pleasure,” I tell her as I climb on top of her on the bed.I lean in close to her, careful not to rest my weight on top of her, but I hold her as close to me as I can. My hand holds the back of her neck while my other hand grips her thigh as her legs wrap around my waist.“You ready,” I whisper in her ear as my tip presses against her opening. Her hands reach up and rest on the back of my head, and she nods permission. Gently, I push forward with my hips and slip inside of her. She closes her eyes and lets out a breathy moan as I start to fill her. When she opens her eyes again, I am staring directly into her eyes as I make long, slow thrusts in and out of her. With each thrust into her, she gasps and squeezes the back of my head with her hands. I dare not look away, as I am entranced by her green eyes as I make love to Riza for the first time. Quietly she mouths ‘I love you so much' as she brushes my cheek with her thumb. I mouth 'I love you more', and press my lips to her before she can respond. She begins to moan into my mouth, and I speed up my thrust a little to bring her to climax again. Her moans become constant as her hands grip my back and fingers claw at my ribs. I feel her walls tighten around me as she nears climax. My climax starts to heighten as she grips my cock tighter inside of her and I squeeze her tighter to me. As she begins to orgasm again, her nails dig into my side and she screams into my mouth. I don't fight my urge to cum this time and welcome my climax. As we climax together, our bodies tangled together, a flash of lightning illuminates the bedroom and thunder crashes as I release my seed inside of Riza. Thunder continues to roll as I bury myself deep inside of her and fill her with my seed. Riza gyrates her hips, squeezing every last drop I have to offer inside of her. My legs and arms give out and I collapse on top of her. Softly, we kiss, as my cock softly twitches inside of her, long after my climax subsides.I roll to my side, exhausted, and look over at her. Her green eyes look upon me with wonder and love as I reach across the bed and pull her to me. She places her head on my chest and her arm across my stomach. We tangle our legs together as I pull the comforter over top of us. As I close my eyes, I realize that when I wake up in the morning, Riza will be there, and my wish will have finally come true.I awoke slowly, consciousness replacing the grogginess of my slumber at a snail's pace. I didn't want to open my eyes for the fear that last night could have been just a dream. I didn't want to open my eyes because the warmth of the bed was so inviting, and the soft sheets and comforter hugged my body like a glove. I took in a deep breath through my nose and smelled him on the pillow, with a faint hint of freshly brewed coffee. Greedily, I pushed my face deeper into the pillow, his scent intoxicating me as I breathed him in. The scent of him made my mind flashback to last night, the way he held me as we made love, the look of pure, unadulterated love in his eyes as he filled me with his seed. As I rolled over under the sheets, I could feel soreness in my lady parts, but also the residual wetness of his seed still inside of me. Finally, with much reluctance, I stretched my arms and legs out and enjoyed the feeling as sleepy muscles woke up.I opened my eyes and looked over to an empty bed. Longingly, I ran my hand over the wrinkles in the sheets where he had laid last night, holding me and tugging my hair until I drifted off to sleep. Slipping my feet out from under the covers, I put my feet on the floor and gathered the willpower to rise from the bed. My legs protested as my weight shifted to them as I pushed myself off the bed. The carpet was soft and pleasant on my feet as I shuffled towards the bedroom door. I could hear the soft tune of music playing when I reached the steps and smelled the scent of freshly brewed coffee and bacon cooking. When I reached the bottom of the stairs and turned the corner into the kitchen, I almost died due to an overload of cuteness.Kurt, dressed in a black pair of slacks, a grey long sleeve button-up, polished leather shoes, and an untied blue tie draped around his neck, was dancing and swaying to the tune of Love of a Lifetime by Firehouse. Eggs, bacon, and bagels were cooking as steam seeped from a fresh pot of coffee. I leaned against the fridge, completely naked from my head to my toes, and just enjoyed watching Kurt being Kurt. It was adorable and it made me love him even more for it. I must have stood there leaning against the fridge for a good two minutes before he noticed me. A soon as he did, I expected him to be embarrassed and stop, but instead, he started swaying and vibing to the music as he approached me. Lip syncing to the lyrics, he reached for my hand and slipped his other hand behind the small of my back, and danced with me through the final chorus of the song. As the song ended, he spun me around, and then dipped me, kissing me long, and passionately. I was as giddy as a schoolgirl at her first dance, and on the verge of bursting with love for him."Morning my love,” he said as he lifted me back up, his hips still swaying to the fading music, “Hungry? I made you breakfast.”“It smells so good,” I said as I looked at the plate filled with scrambled eggs, strips of bacon, and plain bagels with cream cheese, “Kurt, baby, you didn't have to do this.”“I wanted to,” he said as he took a big bite out of his bagel, “It's our first morning together and I wanted to make it special.”“Well, you certainly did that,” I said as I took a mug from above the coffee maker and filled it with the freshly brewed goodness.A strong hand slapped and squeezed my ass as I leaned over to grab a coffee creamer from the fridge, and I jumped in surprise. I hadn't been awake ten minutes and my pussy was already craving more of Kurt.“Hey now, don't be starting anything you can't finish before work,” I teased.“Says the naked and exotically beautiful Goddess bent over in front of me!” he quipped, “Seriously, do you have clothes to change into?”“Nope,” I said as I peered over the top of the mug before taking a sip of the coffee.I noticed Kurt was already stiff as the bugle in his pants became quite obvious.“Why didn't you bring some clothes with you?”Setting the mug of coffee on the counter, I sauntered over to him, grabbed his cock, and squeezed softly, “I didn't think I would need them. I wanted you to have easy access whenever you wanted it. Clothes get in the way of that.”Kurt placed his hands on the counter and moaned softly as I slowly and gently stroked his hard cock through his pants. I could feel his cock twitch with excitement in my palm.“Riza, damn that feels good,” he moaned into my ear.I took my hand off his cock, buttoned his top button, and tied his tie for him. Forcefully, I pulled on the tie and brought his face to mine as I kissed him aggressively while stroking his cock some more.“I'll make it feel even better when you get home,” I teased.“About that, I think I might have to call in today,” he said as he started to make fake coughing sounds, “Sorry boss, I think I came down with something and won't be able to make it in today.”I giggled and turned around, grinding my bare ass on his hard cock through his pants. I could feel the firmness and heat of his erection between my ass cheeks as he placed a hand on my belly, and gently around my neck."That's a shame," I said as I turned my head up to look at him, "I can't tease you with naughty, sexy photos and sexts if you don't go to work."He let out a disappointed and protracted sigh, "Fine, you drive a hard bargain, Baby. I'll go to work, but I'm going to complain the whole time.""Have fun! Love you!" I told him as I stood on my tiptoes to kiss him, slapping him on the ass to hurry him out the door before he was late."Love you too. And for goodness sake, at least put on one of my shirts or something so you don't freeze to death. My air conditioner is practically brand new and works better than you'd expect," Kurt said before he stepped into the garage.I sat on a barstool and smiled as I enjoyed the breakfast Kurt had prepared for me as I heard the garage door opener hum. I desperately wanted to run to the windows and wave goodbye to him, but I was scared one of the neighbors would see. All it would take is old Mrs. Ruckers walking her dogs like she did every morning, and a simple glance to see me naked and in another man's house to ruin everything. I finished my breakfast and gulped down the rest of my coffee. I took a moment to wash the dishes from breakfast. No sooner did I step away from the sink, the air conditioner kicked on and blasted me with a rush of cold air. Goosebumps instantly pricked up on my skin and I had second thoughts about remaining naked the whole time I was at Kurt's. I headed upstairs and opened his closet. There was a plethora of button-up shirts, some cotton, some polyester, and even some silk. I selected a white silk shirt and laid it on the bed. I shivered as the AC started to chill me to my core. A hot shower was in order.Walking into Kurt's bathroom, I was surprised by how clean it was. Everything was organized, neat, and in its place. I turned on the water to the shower and snapped a few pictures in the mirror for Kurt to enjoy later while I waited for the water to heat up. This morning in the kitchen had me incredibly horny and I looked down as I felt a mix of Kurt's cum and my juices start to drip down my thigh. On a whim, I took the phone in the shower with me, propping it up in the corner of the shower. I took my time showering, enjoying the hot, steamy water as it warmed me up. Once I was all cleaned up, I pulled up the camera and hit record. My pussy ached terribly, partly because I was still sore from last night, and partly because I was craving Kurt's cock again. I had to settle for my fingers as I played with myself, recording the whole thing for Kurt to enjoy. For several minutes I let my fingers delve in and out of my pussy and asshole, shamelessly moaning and screaming out in pleasure without impunity. Finally, I got myself off, and the ache in my pussy subsided... for now.I brought the phone up to my face and blew a kiss, "Miss you baby. Have a good day at work."Stepping out of the shower, I dried off and slipped on the silk button-up. Looking in the mirror, my nipples pressed against the fabric and you could make out my dark areolas through the fabric. I left the shirt unbuttoned, letting it expose one of my breasts, and I posed on the bed for a few photos. I got a little carried away with the photos and even took a few of me grinding my pussy on his pillow. Unintentionally, I found myself enjoying the feeling so much I ended up grinding his pillow to climax. Satisfied with my work, I selected the video and my favorite of the pictures and clicked send. Despite the cup of coffee, I had that morning, I all of the sudden felt exhausted. Time for a nap.--Six hours later I woke up and glanced at the alarm clock on Kurt's nightstand. It was already three in the afternoon. I honestly can't remember the last time I napped that long, and I climbed out of the bed feeling rejuvenated and rested for the first time in a while. *A girl could get used to this,* I thought to myself. I decided to head downstairs and explore a little. Like the bathroom, Kurt kept a clean and organized house. Even the silverware was stacked neatly in the kitchen drawers. Cast iron pans draped from the walls as decoration, and practical storage. My phone dinged and I pulled it up, realizing it was a Kurt. Apparently, he had spent most of the morning in a meeting and returned to his office to a wonderful and joyous surprise on his phone. He apologized for being out of touch and told me he can't wait to get home tonight.I sat at Kurt's computer and turned it on. It was a basic computer, and there were a few older-looking games on it, including a space pinball game I grew up playing. Then a naughty thought filled my head, and I pulled up his search history. Intermittently throughout his search history, there were PornHub entries every couple of days or so."Okay Baby, let's see what you're into when no one is looking," I said out loud to myself. As I clicked on the first video and watched and listened as a small Asian woman like myself filled the screen. The guy in the video was pulling her ponytail and ramming her hard and fast. I watched in amazement as her body shook from the forces of his thrusts. The last-minute of the video was the guy planting a deep creampie inside of her small frame, and recording the cum leaking out of her. I checked the other videos and it was more of the same, small, petite Asian heritage women like myself, getting fucked and filled with cum. If I didn't know any better, I'd say Kurt had a type. Knowing that he was fantasizing about me for years, it was downright flattering to know that even when he wasn't fantasizing about me, he was watching porn with women like me to get off. Then I found a search history of pages from Reddit. Some of them were silly animal videos, historical videos, and goofy pictures. And then I found something that wasn't. Apparently, Kurt was something of a writer and wrote erotic stories of his fantasies about me, in vivid detail. So vivid, my pussy was growing wet and starting to ache again as I read through them. By the time I read through his fifth story, I was playing with myself again and looked down to see a puddle of my juices soaking his computer chair.I jumped as the garage door opener came to life. I glanced at my phone and freaked for a moment as I realized it was already 5:30 pm. Two hours had gone by in the blink of an eye. Quickly I unbuttoned my shirt and closed out of his search history. I rushed to the garage door and leaned against the wall, in the sexiest pose I could think of in the heat of the moment. As the door swung open and Kurt stepped through, a huge smile stretched across his face."Damn you're gorgeous," he gushed, "Missed you today.""I missed you too, now come kiss me already," I begged. His warm hands slid along my hips as he leaned down to kiss me. I instinctually wrapped my arms around his neck. I felt his hands glide along my waist to the small of my back, down to my buttocks. Embarrassingly, I squeaked as his strong hands gripped my ass cheeks and he lifted me up the wall, pinning me between him and the wall as his lips pressed deeper into mine and I lost myself in the passion of the moment. My hands felt up and down his body as my heart pounded and my breath caught in my chest. I've never been kissed with this much passion before, not even by Ronny, and I realized my toes were curled up in the pleasure of the moment when we finally separated to get some air."Wow, you really missed me," I said breathlessly as my lungs burned from lack of oxygen, and my pussy burned from lack of cock."You have no idea. I got practically nothing done at work today because I couldn't put my phone down," he said as his voice quivered while he gently lowered me to the floor. "Three times I had to fight back the urge to go to the bathroom and run one out, just to get me through the day."I said nothing and smiled at him."So Babe, what do you want for dinner?" he asked as he held my hand and escorted me to the bedroom to change out of his work clothes.I watched him strip down, putting his clothes into the hamper, and practically started drooling at the sight of his soft cock, "I don't know, you are looking pretty tasty right now."He laughed and slipped on a pair of grey sweat pants, no underwear, "As great of a source of protein that might be, it's hardly filling.""My throat and pussy beg to differ."An amused chuckle bellowed from his belly as he took my hand in his, "I hear ya Riza, but I am starving. Tell me what you want to eat, and I'll make it happen."I thought about it for several moments. I was hungry for his cock, hungry for his cum, hungry for his touch and his love. All I wanted right now was his strong arms wrapped around me as he ravaged my insides and to feel his hot cum filling my womb again. If only there was a way to get what I wanted, without having to wait for him to cook. I snapped my head up and looked at Kurt with a moment of realization."A large meat lover's stuffed crust pizza and breadsticks," I blurted out."Pizza? I was thinking something fancier, but if that's what my Goddess demands, then that I shall give her what she desires," he said as he pulled out his phone and opened the Pizza Hut app on his phone. What is wrong with me? What about Kurt has me so, uncontrollably horny? I wanted to come over here and spend quality, uninterrupted time with the man I love, but all I can think about is his cock and taking another load of his cum inside of me. It's like my body is having withdrawals and his cum is the drug I get high on. I mean, I'm not even this desperate for cock when I'm ovulating. Geeze, what if he thinks I'm just some sexed crazed slut? Not that he's complaining or anything, but still...After ordering the pizza we headed back downstairs. Kurt handed me the remote, laid on his side on the couch with his back to the cushions, and patted the space next to him. My heart fluttered with joy as I laid next to him, and his strong arms pulled me into him, tucking my curves into his as I just melted into him. He tucked us in tight with the blanket that laid on the back of the couch and kissed the back of my neck as he snuggled in tighter to me."What are we watching tonight?" he asked with a legitimate interest."So," I began, "Something you should know about me before we get too far into this.""Oh no, please tell me you aren't one of those reality TV types of women. You know, Jersey Shores, Real Housewives, stuff like that."I laughed at his implication, "God no! But, I am a sucker for zombie flicks and shows. iZombie, The Walking Dead, Z-Nation, along those lines.""Z-Nation?" I heard him taste the name in his mouth behind me, curiosity yet unfamiliarity in his voice.I stopped, "You've never seen Z-Nation?""Nope, never even heard of it until now.""Oh... Babe, you're in for a treat," I said as I pulled up Netflix and searched for it.We got halfway through the first episode and he was already hooked, I could tell just by looking at him. As if the universe granted us a break, just as the first episode finished, our pizza arrived. I realized I was much hungrier than I thought after I washed down my fourth slice of pizza with a beer and nuzzled back into Kurt on the couch. We were almost through the whole first season before I looked to see what time it was. 11:03pm. I was comforted and relished in the feeling of Kurt holding me so close, and despite a stiff cock pressing through the fabric of his sweat pants pushing into my ass cheek, he had otherwise not attempted to push any kind of sexual agenda on me. It was nice to just lay and snuggle with him. The increasingly rarer times that Ronny snuggled with me like this, he would always demand sex before snuggling, and I would always feel used and worthless afterward, like I was trading my body for some kind of positive attention from my husband. Kurt demanded nothing of me, other than I just be there, with him.Problem is, the less he demanded of me, the more I craved him. Feeling the bulge in his pants pressing against me, I struggled to concentrate on the show. I closed my eyes and imagined him pulling down his pants and slipping inside of me. I was just wearing his shirt and nothing below. No panties or any form of clothing to get in the way. My legs were up near my chest so I was in the perfect position for him to penetrate me. The only thing between my cock-hungry pussy and Kurt's cock was his sweatpants. I desperately wanted him to

Evelyn Osman, Principal Platform Engineer at AutoScout24, joins Corey on Screaming in the Cloud to discuss the dire need for developers to agree on a standardized tool set in order to scale their projects and innovate quickly. Corey and Evelyn pick apart the new products being launched in cloud computing and discover a large disconnect between what the industry needs and what is actually being created. Evelyn shares her thoughts on why viewing platforms as products themselves forces developers to get into the minds of their users and produces a better end result.About EvelynEvelyn is a recovering improviser currently role playing as a Lead Platform Engineer at Autoscout24 in Munich, Germany. While she says she specializes in AWS architecture and integration after spending 11 years with it, in truth she spends her days convincing engineers that a product mindset will make them hate their product managers less.Links Referenced:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/evelyn-osman/TranscriptAnnouncer: Hello, and welcome to Screaming in the Cloud with your host, Chief Cloud Economist at The Duckbill Group, Corey Quinn. This weekly show features conversations with people doing interesting work in the world of cloud, thoughtful commentary on the state of the technical world, and ridiculous titles for which Corey refuses to apologize. This is Screaming in the Cloud.Corey: Welcome to Screaming in the Cloud. I'm Corey Quinn. My guest today is Evelyn Osman, engineering manager at AutoScout24. Evelyn, thank you for joining me.Evelyn: Thank you very much, Corey. It's actually really fun to be on here.Corey: I have to say one of the big reasons that I was enthused to talk to you is that you have been using AWS—to be direct—longer than I have, and that puts you in a somewhat rarefied position where AWS's customer base has absolutely exploded over the past 15 years that it's been around, but at the beginning, it was a very different type of thing. Nowadays, it seems like we've lost some of that magic from the beginning. Where do you land on that whole topic?Evelyn: That's actually a really good point because I always like to say, you know, when I come into a room, you know, I really started doing introductions like, “Oh, you know, hey,” I'm like, you know, “I'm this director, I've done this XYZ,” and I always say, like, “I'm Evelyn, engineering manager, or architect, or however,” and then I say, you know, “I've been working with AWS, you know, 11, 12 years,” or now I can't quite remember.Corey: Time becomes a flat circle. The pandemic didn't help.Evelyn: [laugh] Yeah, I just, like, a look at that the year, and I'm like, “Jesus. It's been that long.” Yeah. And usually, like you know, you get some odd looks like, “Oh, my God, you must be a sage.” And for me, I'm… you see how different services kind of, like, have just been reinventions of another one, or they just take a managed service and make another managed service around it. So, I feel that there's a lot of where it's just, you know, wrapping up a pretty bow, and calling it something different, it feels like.Corey: That's what I've been low-key asking people for a while now over the past year, namely, “What is the most foundational, interesting thing that AWS has done lately, that winds up solving for this problem of whatever it is you do as a company? What is it that has foundationally made things better that AWS has put out in the last service? What was it?” And the answers I get are all depressingly far in the past, I have to say. What's yours?Evelyn: Honestly, I think the biggest game-changer I remember experiencing was at an analyst summit in Stockholm when they announced Lambda.Corey: That was announced before I even got into this space, as an example of how far back things were. And you're right. That was transformative. That was awesome.Evelyn: Yeah, precisely. Because before, you know, we were always, like, trying to figure, okay, how do we, like, launch an instance, run some short code, and then clean it up. AWS is going to charge for an hour, so we need to figure out, you know, how to pack everything into one instance, run for one hour. And then they announced Lambda, and suddenly, like, holy shit, this is actually a game changer. We can actually write small functions that do specific things. And, you know, you go from, like, microservices, like, to like, tiny, serverless functions. So, that was huge. And then DynamoDB along with that, really kind of like, transformed the entire space for us in many ways. So, back when I was at TIBCO, there was a few innovations around that, even, like, one startup inside TIBCO that quite literally, their entire product was just Lambda functions. And one of their problems was, they wanted to sell in the Marketplace, and they couldn't figure out how to sell Lambda on the marketplace.Corey: It's kind of wild when we see just how far it's come, but also how much they've announced that doesn't change that much, to be direct. For me, one of the big changes that I remember that really made things better for customers—thought it took a couple of years—was EFS. And even that's a little bit embarrassing because all that is, “All right, we finally found a way to stuff a NetApp into us-east-1,” so now NFS, just like you used to use it in the 90s and the naughts, can be done responsibly in the cloud. And that, on some level, wasn't a feature launch so much as it was a concession to the ways that companies had built things and weren't likely to change.Evelyn: Honestly, I found the EFS launch to be a bit embarrassing because, like, you know, when you look closer at it, you realize, like, the performance isn't actually that great.Corey: Oh, it was horrible when it launched. It would just slam to a halt because you got the IOPS scaled with how much data you stored on it. The documentation explicitly said to use dd to start loading a bunch of data onto it to increase the performance. It's like, “Look, just sandbag the thing so it does what you'd want.” And all that stuff got fixed, but at the time it looked like it was clown shoes.Evelyn: Yeah, and that reminds me of, like, EBS's, like, gp2 when we're, like you know, we're talking, like, okay, provision IOPS with gp2. We just kept saying, like, just give yourself really big volume for performance. And it feel like they just kind of kept that with EFS. And it took years for them to really iterate off of that. Yeah, so, like, EFS was a huge thing, and I see us, we're still using it now today, and like, we're trying to integrate, especially for, like, data center migrations, but yeah, you always see that a lot of these were first more for, like, you know, data centers to the cloud, you know. So, first I had, like, EC2 classic. That's where I started. And I always like to tell a story that in my team, we're talking about using AWS, I was the only person fiercely against it because we did basically large data processing—sorry, I forget the right words—data analytics. There we go [laugh].Corey: I remember that, too. When it first came out, it was, “This sounds dangerous and scary, and it's going to be a flash in the pan because who would ever trust their core compute infrastructure to some random third-party company, especially a bookstore?” And yeah, I think I got that one very wrong.Evelyn: Yeah, exactly. I was just like, no way. You know, I see all these articles talking about, like, terrible disk performance, and here I am, where it's like, it's my bread and butter. I'm specialized in it, you know? I write code in my sleep and such.[Yeah, the interesting thing is, I was like, first, it was like, I can 00:06:03] launch services, you know, to kind of replicate when you get in a data center to make it feature comparable, and then it was taking all this complex services and wrapping it up in a pretty bow for—as a managed service. Like, EKS, I think, was the biggest one, if we're looking at managed services. Technically Elasticsearch, but I feel like that was the redheaded stepchild for quite some time.Corey: Yeah, there was—Elasticsearch was a weird one, and still is. It's not a pleasant service to run in any meaningful sense. Like, what people actually want as the next enhancement that would excite everyone is, I want a serverless version of this thing where I can just point it at a bunch of data, I hit an API that I don't have to manage, and get Elasticsearch results back from. They finally launched a serverless offering that's anything but. You have to still provision compute units for it, so apparently, the word serverless just means managed service over at AWS-land now. And it just, it ties into the increasing sense of disappointment I've had with almost all of their recent launches versus what I felt they could have been.Evelyn: Yeah, the interesting thing about Elasticsearch is, a couple of years ago, they came out with OpenSearch, a competing Elasticsearch after [unintelligible 00:07:08] kind of gave us the finger and change the licensing. I mean, OpenSearch actually become a really great offering if you run it yourself, but if you use their managed service, it can kind—you lose all the benefits, in a way.Corey: I'm curious, as well, to get your take on what I've been seeing that I think could only be described as an internal shift, where it's almost as if there's been a decree passed down that every service has to run its own P&L or whatnot, and as a result, everything that gets put out seems to be monetized in weird ways, even when I'd argue it shouldn't be. The classic example I like to use for this is AWS Config, where it charges you per evaluation, and that happens whenever a cloud resource changes. What that means is that by using the cloud dynamically—the way that they supposedly want us to do—we wind up paying a fee for that as a result. And it's not like anyone is using that service in isolation; it is definitionally being used as people are using other cloud resources, so why does it cost money? And the answer is because literally everything they put out costs money.Evelyn: Yep, pretty simple. Oftentimes, there's, like, R&D that goes into it, but the charges seem a bit… odd. Like from an S3 lens, was, I mean, that's, like, you know, if you're talking about services, that was actually a really nice one, very nice holistic overview, you know, like, I could drill into a data lake and, like, look into things. But if you actually want to get anything useful, you have to pay for it.Corey: Yeah. Everything seems to, for one reason or another, be stuck in this place where, “Well, if you want to use it, it's going to cost.” And what that means is that it gets harder and harder to do anything that even remotely resembles being able to wind up figuring out where's the spend going, or what's it going to cost me as time goes on? Because it's not just what are the resources I'm spinning up going to cost, what are the second, third, and fourth-order effects of that? And the honest answer is, well, nobody knows. You're going to have to basically run an experiment and find out.Evelyn: Yeah. No, true. So, what I… at AutoScout, we actually ended up doing is—because we're trying to figure out how to tackle these costs—is they—we built an in-house cost allocation solution so we could track all of that. Now, AWS has actually improved Cost Explorer quite a bit, and even, I think, Billing Conductor was one that came out [unintelligible 00:09:21], kind of like, do a custom tiered and account pricing model where you can kind of do the same thing. But even that also, there is a cost with it.I think that was trying to compete with other, you know, vendors doing similar solutions. But it still isn't something where we see that either there's, like, arbitrarily low pricing there, or the costs itself doesn't really quite make sense. Like, AWS [unintelligible 00:09:45], as you mentioned, it's a terrific service. You know, we try to use it for compliance enforcement and other things, catching bad behavior, but then as soon as people see the price tag, we just run away from it. So, a lot of the security services themselves, actually, the costs, kind of like, goes—skyrockets tremendously when you start trying to use it across a large organization. And oftentimes, the organization isn't actually that large.Corey: Yeah, it gets to this point where, especially in small environments, you have to spend more energy and money chasing down what the cost is than you're actually spending on the thing. There were blog posts early on that, “Oh, here's how you analyze your bill with Redshift,” and that was a minimum 750 bucks a month. It's, well, I'm guessing that that's not really for my $50 a month account.Evelyn: Yeah. No, precisely. I remember seeing that, like, entire ETL process is just, you know, analyze your invoice. Cost [unintelligible 00:10:33], you know, is fantastic, but at the end of the day, like, what you're actually looking at [laugh], is infinitesimally small compared to all the data in that report. Like, I think oftentimes, it's simply, you know, like, I just want to look at my resources and allocate them in a multidimensional way. Which actually isn't really that multidimensional, when you think about it [laugh].Corey: Increasingly, Cost Explorer has gotten better. It's not a new service, but every iteration seems to improve it to a point now where I'm talking to folks, and they're having a hard time justifying most of the tools in the cost optimization space, just because, okay, they want a percentage of my spend on AWS to basically be a slightly better version of a thing that's already improving and works for free. That doesn't necessarily make sense. And I feel like that's what you get trapped into when you start going down the VC path in the cost optimization space. You've got to wind up having a revenue model and an offering that scales through software… and I thought, originally, I was going to be doing something like that. At this point, I'm unconvinced that anything like that is really tenable.Evelyn: Yeah. When you're a small organization you're trying to optimize, you might not have the expertise and the knowledge to do so, so when one of these small consultancies comes along, saying, “Hey, we're going to charge you a really small percentage of your invoice,” like, okay, great. That's, like, you know, like, a few $100 a month to make sure I'm fully optimized, and I'm saving, you know, far more than that. But as soon as your invoice turns into, you know, it's like $100,000, or $300,000 or more, that percentage becomes rather significant. And I've had vendors come to me and, like, talk to me and is like, “Hey, we can, you know, for a small percentage, you know, we're going to do this machine learning, you know, AI optimization for you. You know, you don't have to do anything. We guaranteed buybacks your RIs.” And as soon as you look at the price tag with it, we just have to walk away. Or oftentimes we look at it, and there are truly very simple ways to do it on your own, if you just kind of put some thought into it.Corey: While we want to talking a bit before this show, you taught me something new about GameLift, which I think is a different problem that AWS has been dealing with lately. I've never paid much attention to it because it is the—as I assume from what it says on the tin, oh, it's a service for just running a whole bunch of games at scale, and I'm not generally doing that. My favorite computer game remains to be Twitter at this point, but that's okay. What is GameLift, though, because you want to shining a different light on it, which makes me annoyed that Amazon Marketing has not pointed this out.Evelyn: Yeah, so I'll preface this by saying, like, I'm not an expert on GameLift. I haven't even spun it up myself because there's quite a bit of price. I learned this fall while chatting with an SA who works in the gaming space, and it kind of like, I went, like, “Back up a second.” If you think about, like, I'm, you know, like, World of Warcraft, all you have are thousands of game clients all over the world, playing the same game, you know, on the same server, in the same instance, and you need to make sure, you know, that when I'm running, and you're running, that we know that we're going to reach the same point the same time, or if there's one object in that room, that only one of us can get it. So, all these servers are doing is tracking state across thousands of clients. And GameLift, when you think about your dedicated game service, it really is just multi-region distributed state management. Like, at the basic, that's really what it is. Now, there's, you know, quite a bit more happening within GameLift, but that's what I was going to explain is, like, it's just state management. And there are far more use cases for it than just for video games.Corey: That's maddening to me because having a global session state store, for lack of a better term, is something that so many customers have built themselves repeatedly. They can build it on top of primitives like DynamoDB global tables, or alternately, you have a dedicated region where that thing has to live and everything far away takes forever to round-trip. If they've solved some of those things, why on earth would they bury it under a gaming-branded service? Like, offer that primitive to the rest of us because that's useful.Evelyn: No, absolutely. And honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if you peeled back the curtain with GameLift, you'll find a lot of—like, several other you know, AWS services that it's just built on top of. I kind of mentioned earlier is, like, what I see now with innovation, it's like we just see other services packaged together and releases a new product.Corey: Yeah, IoT had the same problem going on for years where there was a lot of really good stuff buried in there, like IOT events. People were talking about using that for things like browser extensions and whatnot, but you need to be explicitly told that that's a thing that exists and is handy, but otherwise you'd never know it was there because, “Well, I'm not building anything that's IoT-related. Why would I bother?” It feels like that was one direction that they tended to go in.And now they take existing services that are, mmm, kind of milquetoast, if I'm being honest, and then saying, “Oh, like, we have Comprehend that does, effectively detection of themes, keywords, and whatnot, from text. We're going to wind up re-releasing that as Comprehend Medical.” Same type of thing, but now focused on a particular vertical. Seems to me that instead of being a specific service for that vertical, just improve the baseline the service and offer HIPAA compliance if it didn't exist already, and you're mostly there. But what do I know? I'm not a product manager trying to get promoted.Evelyn: Yeah, that's true. Well, I was going to mention that maybe it's the HIPAA compliance, but actually, a lot of their services already have HIPAA compliance. And I've stared far too long at that compliance section on AWS's site to know this, but you know, a lot of them actually are HIPAA-compliant, they're PCI-compliant, and ISO-compliant, and you know, and everything. So, I'm actually pretty intrigued to know why they [wouldn't 00:16:04] take that advantage.Corey: I just checked. Amazon Comprehend is itself HIPAA-compliant and is qualified and certified to hold Personal Health Information—PHI—Private Health Information, whatever the acronym stands for. Now, what's the difference, then, between that and Medical? In fact, the HIPAA section says for Comprehend Medical, “For guidance, see the previous section on Amazon Comprehend.” So, there's no difference from a regulatory point of view.Evelyn: That's fascinating. I am intrigued because I do know that, like, within AWS, you know, they have different segments, you know? There's, like, Digital Native Business, there's Enterprise, there's Startup. So, I am curious how things look over the engineering side. I'm going to talk to somebody about this now [laugh].Corey: Yeah, it's the—like, I almost wonder, on some level, it feels like, “Well, we wound to building this thing in the hopes that someone would use it for something. And well, if we just use different words, it checks a box in some analyst's chart somewhere.” I don't know. I mean, I hate to sound that negative about it, but it's… increasingly when I talk to customers who are active in these spaces around the industry vertical targeted stuff aimed at their industry, they're like, “Yeah, we took a look at it. It was adorable, but we're not using it that way. We're going to use either the baseline version or we're going to work with someone who actively gets our industry.” And I've heard that repeated about three or four different releases that they've put out across the board of what they've been doing. It feels like it is a misunderstanding between what the world needs and what they're able to or willing to build for us.Evelyn: Not sure. I wouldn't be surprised, if we go far enough, it could probably be that it's just a product manager saying, like, “We have to advertise directly to the industry.” And if you look at it, you know, in the backend, you know, it's an engineer, you know, kicking off a build and just changing the name from Comprehend to Comprehend Medical.Corey: And, on some level, too, they're moving a lot more slowly than they used to. There was a time where they were, in many cases, if not the first mover, the first one to do it well. Take Code Whisperer, their AI powered coding assistant. That would have been a transformative thing if GitHub Copilot hadn't beaten them every punch, come out with new features, and frankly, in head-to-head experiments that I've run, came out way better as a product than what Code Whisperer is. And while I'd like to say that this is great, but it's too little too late. And when I talk to engineers, they're very excited about what Copilot can do, and the only people I see who are even talking about Code Whisperer work at AWS.Evelyn: No, that's true. And so, I think what's happening—and this is my opinion—is that first you had AWS, like, launching a really innovative new services, you know, that kind of like, it's like, “Ah, it's a whole new way of running your workloads in the cloud.” Instead of you know, basically, hiring a whole team, I just click a button, you have your instance, you use it, sell software, blah, blah, blah, blah. And then they went towards serverless, and then IoT, and then it started targeting large data lakes, and then eventually that kind of run backwards towards security, after the umpteenth S3 data leak.Corey: Oh, yeah. And especially now, like, so they had a hit in some corners with SageMaker, so now there are 40 services all starting with the word SageMaker. That's always pleasant.Evelyn: Yeah, precisely. And what I kind of notice is… now they're actually having to run it even further back because they caught all the corporations that could pivot to the cloud, they caught all the startups who started in the cloud, and now they're going for the larger behemoths who have massive data centers, and they don't want to innovate. They just want to reduce this massive sysadmin team. And I always like to use the example of a Bare Metal. When that came out in 2019, everybody—we've all kind of scratched your head. I'm like, really [laugh]?Corey: Yeah, I could see where it makes some sense just for very specific workloads that involve things like specific capabilities of processors that don't work under emulation in some weird way, but it's also such a weird niche that I'm sure it's there for someone. My default assumption, just given the breadth of AWS's customer base, is that whenever I see something that they just announced, well, okay, it's clearly not for me; that doesn't mean it's not meeting the needs of someone who looks nothing like me. But increasingly as I start exploring the industry in these services have time to percolate in the popular imagination and I still don't see anything interesting coming out with it, it really makes you start to wonder.Evelyn: Yeah. But then, like, I think, like, roughly a year or something, right after Bare Metal came out, they announced Outposts. So, then it was like, another way to just stay within your data center and be in the cloud.Corey: Yeah. There's a bunch of different ways they have that, okay, here's ways you can run AWS services on-prem, but still pay us by the hour for the privilege of running things that you have living in your facility. And that doesn't seem like it's quite fair.Evelyn: That's exactly it. So, I feel like now it's sort of in diminishing returns and sort of doing more cloud-native work compared to, you know, these huge opportunities, which is everybody who still has a data center for various reasons, or they're cloud-native, and they grow so big, that they actually start running their own data centers.Corey: I want to call out as well before we wind up being accused of being oblivious, that we're recording this before re:Invent. So, it's entirely possible—I hope this happens—that they announce something or several some things that make this look ridiculous, and we're embarrassed to have had this conversation. And yeah, they're totally getting it now, and they have completely surprised us with stuff that's going to be transformative for almost every customer. I've been expecting and hoping for that for the last three or four re:Invents now, and I haven't gotten it.Evelyn: Yeah, that's right. And I think there's even a new service launches that actually are missing fairly obvious things in a way. Like, mine is the Managed Workflow for Amazon—it's Managed Airflow, sorry. So, we were using Data Pipeline for, you know, big ETL processing, so it was an in-house tool we kind of built at Autoscout, we do platform engineering. And it was deprecated, so we looked at a new—what to replace it with. And so, we looked at Airflow, and we decided this is the way to go, we want to use managed because we don't want to maintain our own infrastructure. And the problem we ran into is that it doesn't have support for shared VPCs. And we actually talked to our account team, and they were confused. Because they said, like, “Well, every new service should support it natively.” But it just didn't have it. And that's, kind of, what, I kind of found is, like, there's—it feels—sometimes it's—there's a—it's getting rushed out the door, and it'll actually have a new managed service or new service launched out, but they're also sort of cutting some corners just to actually make sure it's packaged up and ready to go.Corey: When I'm looking at this, and seeing how this stuff gets packaged, and how it's built out, I start to understand a pattern that I've been relatively down on across the board. I'm curious to get your take because you work at a fairly sizable company as an engineering manager, running teams of people who do this sort of thing. Where do you land on the idea of companies building internal platforms to wrap around the offerings that the cloud service providers that they use make available to them?Evelyn: So, my opinion is that you need to build out some form of standardized tool set in order to actually be able to innovate quickly. Now, this sounds counterintuitive because everyone is like, “Oh, you know, if I want to innovate, I should be able to do this experiment, and try out everything, and use what works, and just release it.” And that greatness [unintelligible 00:23:14] mentality, you know, it's like five talented engineers working to build something. But when you have, instead of five engineers, you have five teams of five engineers each, and every single team does something totally different. You know, one uses Scala, and other on TypeScript, another one, you know .NET, and then there could have been a [last 00:23:30] one, you know, comes in, you know, saying they're still using Ruby. And then next thing you know, you know, you have, like, incredibly diverse platforms for services. And if you want to do any sort of like hiring or cross-training, it becomes incredibly difficult. And actually, as the organization grows, you want to hire talent, and so you're going to have to hire, you know, a developer for this team, you going to have to hire, you know, Ruby developer for this one, a Scala guy here, a Node.js guy over there. And so, this is where we say, “Okay, let's agree. We're going to be a Scala shop. Great. All right, are we running serverless? Are we running containerized?” And you agree on those things. So, that's already, like, the formation of it. And oftentimes, you start with DevOps. You'll say, like, “I'm a DevOps team,” you know, or doing a DevOps culture, if you do it properly, but you always hit this scaling issue where you start growing, and then how do you maintain that common tool set? And that's where we start looking at, you know, having a platform… approach, but I'm going to say it's Platform-as-a-Product. That's the key.Corey: Yeah, that's a good way of framing it because originally, the entire world needed that. That's what RightScale was when EC2 first came out. It was a reimagining of the EC2 console that was actually usable. And in time, AWS improved that to the point where RightScale didn't really have a place anymore in a way that it had previously, and that became a business challenge for them. But you have, what is it now, 2, 300 services that AWS has put out, and out, and okay, great. Most companies are really only actively working with a handful of those. How do you make those available in a reasonable way to your teams, in ways that aren't distracting, dangerous, et cetera? I don't know the answer on that one.Evelyn: Yeah. No, that's true. So, full disclosure. At AutoScout, we do platform engineering. So, I'm part of, like, the platform engineering group, and we built a platform for our product teams. It's kind of like, you need to decide to [follow 00:25:24] those answers, you know? Like, are we going to be fully containerized? Okay, then, great, we're going to use Fargate. All right, how do we do it so that developers don't actually—don't need to think that they're running Fargate workloads? And that's, like, you know, where it's really important to have those standardized abstractions that developers actually enjoy using. And I'd even say that, before you start saying, “Ah, we're going to do platform,” you say, “We should probably think about developer experience.” Because you can do a developer experience without a platform. You can do that, you know, in a DevOps approach, you know? It's basically build tools that makes it easy for developers to write code. That's the first step for anything. It's just, like, you have people writing the code; make sure that they can do the things easily, and then look at how to operate it.Corey: That sure would be nice. There's a lack of focus on usability, especially when it comes to a number of developer tools that we see out there in the wild, in that, they're clearly built by people who understand the problem space super well, but they're designing these things to be used by people who just want to make the website work. They don't have the insight, the knowledge, the approach, any of it, nor should they necessarily be expected to.Evelyn: No, that's true. And what I see is, a lot of the times, it's a couple really talented engineers who are just getting shit done, and they get shit done however they can. So, it's basically like, if they're just trying to run the website, they're just going to write the code to get things out there and call it a day. And then somebody else comes along, has a heart attack when see what's been done, and they're kind of stuck with it because there is no guardrails or paved path or however you want to call it.Corey: I really hope—truly—that this is going to be something that we look back and laugh when this episode airs, that, “Oh, yeah, we just got it so wrong. Look at all the amazing stuff that came out of re:Invent.” Are you going to be there this year?Evelyn: I am going to be there this year.Corey: My condolences. I keep hoping people get to escape.Evelyn: This is actually my first one in, I think, five years. So, I mean, the last time I was there was when everybody's going crazy over pins. And I still have a bag of them [laugh].Corey: Yeah, that did seem like a hot-second collectable moment, didn't it?Evelyn: Yeah. And then at the—I think, what, the very last day, as everybody's heading to re:Play, you could just go into the registration area, and they just had, like, bags of them lying around to take. So, all the competing, you know, to get the requirements for a pin was kind of moot [laugh].Corey: Don't you hate it at some point where it's like, you feel like I'm going to finally get this crowning achievement, it's like or just show up at the buffet at the end and grab one of everything, and wow, that would have saved me a lot of pain and trouble.Evelyn: Yeah.Corey: Ugh, scavenger hunts are hard, as I'm about to learn to my own detriment.Evelyn: Yeah. No, true. Yeah. But I am really hoping that re:Invent proves me wrong. Embarrassingly wrong, and then all my colleagues can proceed to mock me for this ridiculous podcast that I made with you. But I am a fierce skeptic. Optimistic nihilist, but still a nihilist, so we'll see how re:Invent turns out.Corey: So, I am curious, given your experience at more large companies than I tend to be embedded with for any period of time, how have you found that these large organizations tend to pick up new technologies? What does the adoption process look like? And honestly, if you feel like throwing some shade, how do they tend to get it wrong?Evelyn: In most cases, I've seen it go… terrible. Like, it just blows up in their face. And I say that is because a lot of the time, an organization will say, “Hey, we're going to adopt this new way of organizing teams or developing products,” and they look at all the practices. They say, “Okay, great. Product management is going to bring it in, they're going to structure things, how we do the planning, here's some great charts and diagrams,” but they don't really look at the culture aspect. And that's always where I've seen things fall apart. I've been in a room where, you know, our VP was really excited about team topologies and say, “Hey, we're going to adopt it.” And then an engineering manager proceeded to say, “Okay, you're responsible for this team, you're responsible for that team, you're responsible for this team talking to, like, a team of, like, five engineers,” which doesn't really work at all. Or, like, I think the best example is DevOps, you know, where you say, “Ah, we're going to adopt DevOps, we're going to have a DevOps team, or have a DevOps engineer.”Corey: Step one: we're going to rebadge everyone with existing job titles to have the new fancy job titles that reflect it. It turns out that's not necessarily sufficient in and of itself.Evelyn: Not really. The Spotify model. People say, like, “Oh, we're going to do the Spotify model. We're going to do skills, tribes, you know, and everything. It's going to be awesome, it's going to be great, you know, and nice, cross-functional.”The reason I say it bails on us every single time is because somebody wants to be in control of the process, and if the process is meant to encourage collaboration and innovation, that person actually becomes a chokehold for it. And it could be somebody that says, like, “Ah, I need to be involved in every single team, and listen to know what's happening, just so I'm aware of it.” What ends up happening is that everybody differs to them. So, there is no collaboration, there is no innovation. DevOps, you say, like, “Hey, we're going to have a team to do everything, so your developers don't need to worry about it.” What ends up happening is you're still an ops team, you still have your silos. And that's always a challenge is you actually have to say, “Okay, what are the cultural values around this process?” You know, what is SRE? What is DevOps, you know? Is it seen as processes, is it a series of principles, platform, maybe, you know? We have to say, like—that's why I say, Platform-as-a-Product because you need to have that product mindset, that culture of product thinking, to really build a platform that works because it's all about the user journey. It's not about building a common set of tools. It's the user journey of how a person interacts with their code to get it into a production environment. And so, you need to understand how that person sits down at their desk, starts the laptop up, logs in, opens the IDE, what they're actually trying to get done. And once you understand that, then you know your requirements, and you build something to fill those things so that they are happy to use it, as opposed to saying, “This is our platform, and you're going to use it.” And they're probably going to say, “No.” And the next thing, you know, they're just doing their own thing on the side.Corey: Yeah, the rise of Shadow IT has never gone away. It's just, on some level, it's the natural expression, I think it's an immune reaction that companies tend to have when process gets in the way. Great, we have an outcome that we need to drive towards; we don't have a choice. Cloud empowered a lot of that and also has given tools to help rein it in, and as with everything, the arms race continues.Evelyn: Yeah. And so, what I'm going to continue now, kind of like, toot the platform horn. So, Gregor Hohpe, he's a [solutions architect 00:31:56]—I always f- up his name. I'm so sorry, Gregor. He has a great book, and even a talk, called The Magic of Platforms, that if somebody is actually curious about understanding of why platforms are nice, they should really watch that talk.If you see him at re:Invent, or a summit or somewhere giving a talk, go listen to that, and just pick his brain. Because that's—for me, I really kind of strongly agree with his approach because that's really how, like, you know, as he says, like, boost innovation is, you know, where you're actually building a platform that really works.Corey: Yeah, it's a hard problem, but it's also one of those things where you're trying to focus on—at least ideally—an outcome or a better situation than you currently find yourselves in. It's hard to turn down things that might very well get you there sooner, faster, but it's like trying to effectively cargo-cult the leadership principles from your last employer into your new one. It just doesn't work. I mean, you see more startups from Amazonians who try that, and it just goes horribly because without the cultural understanding and the supporting structures, it doesn't work.Evelyn: Exactly. So, I've worked with, like, organizations, like, 4000-plus people, I've worked for, like, small startups, consulted, and this is why I say, almost every single transformation, it fails the first time because somebody needs to be in control and track things and basically be really, really certain that people are doing it right. And as soon as it blows up in their face, that's when they realize they should actually take a step back. And so, even for building out a platform, you know, doing Platform-as-a-Product, I always reiterate that you have to really be willing to just invest upfront, and not get very much back. Because you have to figure out the whole user journey, and what you're actually building, before you actually build it.Corey: I really want to thank you for taking the time to speak with me today. If people want to learn more, where's the best place for them to find you?Evelyn: So, I used to be on Twitter, but I've actually got off there after it kind of turned a bit toxic and crazy.Corey: Feels like that was years ago, but that's beside the point.Evelyn: Yeah, precisely. So, I would even just say because this feels like a corporate show, but find me on LinkedIn of all places because I will be sharing whatever I find on there, you know? So, just look me up on my name, Evelyn Osman, and give me a follow, and I'll probably be screaming into the cloud like you are.Corey: And we will, of course, put links to that in the show notes. Thank you so much for taking the time to speak with me. I appreciate it.Evelyn: Thank you, Corey.Corey: Evelyn Osman, engineering manager at AutoScout24. Embarrassingly, Tim didn't create an Instagram account until early 2018. For the first 6 months of having that account, there were precisely two entities he followed - Zac Cupples and Resilient Rehab and Performance. If you listen to this podcast, there's a good chance you know of Zac. However, the Resilient boys (Trevor, Greg, and today's guest, Doug) have flown a little more under the radar; nevertheless, since 2015, they've quietly built a private PT empire spanning Manhattan, New Jersey, and Connecticut. If you scroll WAY back on Resilient's account, you can still see Doug sprinting in a field or Trevor goblet squatting a kettlebell so large it looks more 15th century cannonball and less weight training implement. Anyhow, these guys have some shared mentors with Michelle and Tim, and they very much respect Resilient's base of knowledge when it comes to all things biomechanics and persistent pain management. Doug, specifically, has been through his own personal ringer with back issues so severe that, at one point, he could hardly walk more than a block at a time. Additionally, he's a badass backcountry skier, and his life before PT school was jumping out of airplanes to administer emergency medical care to military personnel in war-torn lands. Tim... managed the carts on a golf course. Tim wanted to talk with Doug about how personal experience has impacted Doug's treatment style, popular misconceptions regarding persistent pain, and skewing strength and conditioning exercises towards higher reward and lower risk. They covered those and then some, also working in a discussion of "Goggins versus coddling", the necessity of treatment models to be both explanatory and predictive, and normalizing pain amongst practitioners. Michelle and Tim hope you enjoy the show as much as they enjoyed recording it, and, while you're thinking of it, go ahead and leave a 5-star review on the pod player of your choice. On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined for a second straight day by Tone Pucks to go over a ton of thoughts immediately after the Buffalo Bills completely blew a golden opportunity to open the season with a win, losing to backup quarterback Zach Wilson and the New York Jets, 22-16. Aaron Rodgers was knocked out of the game on the first drive and the Bills were up 13-3 and seemingly in control. But the Jets defense completely dominated the Bills offense, forcing Josh Allen into four turnovers. That and some head scratching play calls from Ken Dorsey has Bills fans already reeling and we got plenty to say about it.
