The FA Podcast is graced with a professional athlete in this episode. Mario is joined by a new friend of his who is a waterfowl junkie but lives a totally different lifestyle than most of us. David Bingham is a professional Soccer player for the Portland Timbers and waterfowl nut case. We talk about what his life is like playing a professional sport, then having his off-season during waterfowl season so he gets to chase birds constantly. His love for snow goose hunting started in California and has grown more and more each year. The white addiction has been rough for David as it has gone from having hundreds of snow socks, to thousands of socks and one trailer, then escalating to full body snows filled in one trailer and socks and more in another trailer. The struggle is real for a snow goose guy……………up at 3am, grinding all day with a big spread to put out and pick up, cleaning lots of birds to everything in between. David is also a hardcore dog trainer and that came from an early age with his dad who was in the dog training game a long time ago. He runs a race horse, not a duck dog! Nitro is every bit of what his name is, he is fast, long and lean and built to motor. We discuss how much time training takes up and what the results can be like once you have that fully trained and committed dog. Great fun on this podcast and a different perspective on waterfowl hunting.

The guys will push through the middle of the show with some disappointing news from Adidas about a possible third kit, and we'll make sure we dive into all the details on why General Manager Dennis te Kloese might be up for an award. Did he pull one over on Boca Juniors? God, let it be true for the laughs! To close out the show, the guys talk rumors -- Sergio Aguero and Husein Balic -- and give you the latest on MLS and MLSPA. Surely the CBA talks will change by the time you listen to this show, but we talked about them anyways! We've got a big show for a big Thursday night. Thanks for listening to us! Now, watch some Netflix or something!

Former St Johnstone, Dunfermline and Livingston striker David Bingham joins me for this latest episode of Campbell's Footballs. On the show we talk about how David got into football in the first place, inspired by his Dad and much more. We talk about great memories at Forfar Athletic before moving to Dunfermline and playing with an array of talent at the Pars. A lot of our discussion is spent chatting about Livingston before joining up with Inverness CT. Lots more is also talked about in a truly captivating discussion. In association with Toby Johnson and Rory Hope Music.

They added two players to the roster this week and look to be adding a couple of more in rapid succession. So what can we deduce from their move so far? On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Eric Vieira battle sunspots and internet outages to bring you the latest news surrounding your favorite team. Are you starting to feel the excitement? Would you too like to be rolled down a hill in a barrel? Josh and Eric will start with the latest developments on Cristian Pavon and the allegations surrounding him. The Galaxy remain interested, and there's some good reason why. Plus, Pavon went out on a limb, which may mean he can't go back to Boca Juniors. So where will he go? And who had the leverage? Then the guys will discuss the signings of Jorge Villafaña and Jonathan Bond to tell you how the Galaxy got the deals done and why they had their eyes on these guys. Of course there was a list involved, and of course the Galaxy were keeping track of them. The guys will also discuss the futures of Jonathan Klinsmann and David Bingham and what effect that might have on the roster. Eric will close things out with some Kit news and tell you why you might want to save those pennies. Don't be slow on this. You're going to regret it. (CORRECTION: JOSH MISTAKENLY SAID THE GALAXY WOULD BE GETTING TWO NEW KITS IN 2021. THIS IS INCORRECT. THE GALAXY WILL BE GETTING A NEW 2ND KIT SUPPOSEDLY IN THE COLOR-WAY WE DESCRIBED ON THE SHOW). Finally, there's some roster talk as the Galaxy still need plenty of reinforcements. But there's reason to believe that they have the room to get it all done! We've got a packed show for you, and we're so glad you joined us! Another show in the books! Even if Eric did his best Elsa impression multiple times.

But they'll need two more wins like that, and some help, if they're going to even think about the postseason. On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter discuss the Galaxy's win over Real Salt Lake, what changes Kinnear made, and how Giancarlo "Pipo" Gonzalez turned in his best performance in a Galaxy kit. Josh and Kevin will start the show with their observations about the starting lineup, what it looked like to have Kinnear and Jovan Kirovski on the bench, and why a small tweak ended up with a Man of the Match award to Gonzalez. The guys will also discuss the play of Julian Araujo, David Bingham, Emiliano Insua, Perry Kitchen, Cristian Pavon, and Yony Gonzalez. Did Kinnear find a starting lineup that is more predictable than the rest? And what did Zubak bring that no one else on the field can offer? Next, Kevin will get you through the playoff scenarios and the needed results for the postseason to be a reality for this underachieving club. Can the Galaxy get there? Would they deserve it? But the Galaxy's next opponent is the MLS Cup Champions from last year. Why are the Seattle Sounders looking to bury the Galaxy and end any dreams of the playoffs on Wednesday? But their road for the playoffs is now set, and we can start discussing what that will look and why the Galaxy could still be considered favorites for an MLS Cup run. On today's show, your hosts Josh Guesman (LA Galaxy Beat Reporter) and Kevin Baxter (LA Times Soccer Reporter), are discussing the fall-out from the Galaxy's poorly timed loss, and why the fifth seed in the playoffs may not mean the Galaxy don't have a home game. The guys start by talking about the loss to the Houston Dynamo and why it was more of the same from a Galaxy defense that didn't need to be tweaked. Josh will also talk about the momentum killers that turned this game on its head, and he'll finally get to the stats you've all been wanting when it comes to goalkeeper David Bingham and the best center back pairings. Does any of it pass the eye test, though? The guys will also tell you why one young Galaxy player's season is all but over, now, and why four other international's will be departing for their respective camps before the Galaxy return for their first playoff game since 2016. Plus, Ibrahimovic isn't in the United States. Could a return to Malmö, Sweden mean the 6-foot-5 striker is getting homesick? Or could it mean a change of scenery for the 38-year-old? Finally, Josh and Kevin are telling you how the Galaxy will get to Minnesota, and what problems Allianz Field will have to deal with when it comes to getting their surface and the stadium ready for the Galaxy's October 20 playoff game against Minnesota United. But the result wasn't the performance, and the performance told us everything we need to know about the Galaxy. So sit back and relax as host Josh Guesman tells all the things he saw from the draw with the Seattle Sounders. Josh will start with the Galaxy's biggest star, Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He'll tell you why there was no one more dominant than Ibrahimovic in week 24 and why the 6-foot-5 Swede might be extending his stay in Los Angeles. He'll also tell you why the addition of Cristian Pavon was so crucial to the Galaxy's offense and the happiness of Ibrahimovic. Then your host will detail the excellent performances from Jonathan dos Santos, Sebastian Lletget, and David Bingham. Yep, he said David Bingham. And there's a significant reason why you can blame Bingham for a mistake that costs the Galaxy three points but also rewards the goalkeeper for an excellent night where he made more than one game-saving save. And the result is what it is. It's disappointing to not walk away with three points, but it's far from the complete story. The big story is that the Galaxy now have one of the most dangerous offenses in MLS. And with Ibrahimovic and Pavon teaming up to torment defenses, they have a real chance at something they haven't been talking about in years. Did someone say MLS Cup? COG STUDIOS, Calif. -- The LA Galaxy held their last media availability for the 2018 season earlier this week and CoG went with our microphone ready. What we got was nearly an hour of audio from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Chris Klein, Ola Kamara, David Bingham, Sebastian Lletget, Jonathan dos Santos and Romain Alessandrini that gave us some idea of what these players are thinking heading into a long offseason.  On today's show, your host Josh Guesman is ready to break down some of that audio and highlight some of the more important quotes that came from that. And in doing so he'll be able to break down the exit-interviews and give you some perspective on what the guys are saying and what that means for the future of the Galaxy.  Josh will focus in on Ibrahimovic and Klein, spending most of the show letting you hear exactly what those two had to say. And being that the Galaxy seem to be focused on keeping Ibrahimovic, it's important to note how each of the guys handle the questions.  The firing of Pete Vagenas wasn't a surprise, and it was probably overdue, but it's clear the club is trying to make him this season's sacrificial lamb. And that the reorganization that is now taking place is about a 12 months behind. But we'll provide you with the audio and you can make some of your own decisions on the responses that were given.  Finally, Josh will update you on the hottest rumor surrounding the Galaxy's General Manager search. Dennis Te Kloese is a big name in Mexico and does have some history with Major League Soccer. Could he be the answer to the Galaxy's questions? We've got over 80-minutes of soccer talk headed your way! Are you ready for it?! Music Provided by Back Pocket Memory

Welcome back, soccer fans! In this episode, we review all the scores and highlights from Week 27 of Major League Soccer. Notably, the top three teams from the Eastern Conference (New York Red Bulls, Atlanta United, and New York City FC) all suffered losses. Should the teams be worried as they head for the playoffs, or is this an opportunity for them to re-focus and finish the season strong? Meanwhile out West, Real Salt Lake continues its scoring blitz, defeating the LA Galaxy 6-2. The hosts talk in depth about RSL's scoring pair of Rusnak and Kreilach, the strong wing play of Plata, and the confidence of Coach Petke. If RSL can keep scoring, the hosts know they can keep winning. In fact, when scoring 2 goals, RSL has 11W, 1L, and 1D. When scoring 1 or less goals, they fall to 2W, 9L, 4D. Finally, the hosts take a hard look at the LA Galaxy and come to some hard truths: the Dos Santos brothers were a flop, David Bingham is an average goalie at best with a defense that continually lets him down, and Sigi Schmid might have to hang up his whistle. But at least they have Zlatan, right ... ? Let us know your thoughts on all things MLS in the comments below, or find us on twitter @SOPSoccer. Thanks for listening!

But with a busy schedule coming up, and some tired legs was the change in formation necessary? Or is this defense just not good enough regardless of the way they were set up? On today's show, your hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter are back to give you all the latest in Galaxy-talk and to make sure you understand all the intricacies of the weekend's loss! First, the guys will talk about the surprise of not having Giovani dos Santos for this game and how his continual absences have really affected the club's overall consistency. Do you think that Giovani and Jonathan dos Santos only get starts because they're high-priced Designated Players? Or is there some merit to starting both of them on a regular basis -- or basically anytime they're healthy.  Then the guys look at the formation change and how Servando Carrasco and Daniel Steres fared in their returns to the starting lineup. Was Carrasco a good replacement for Perry Kitchen? Was Steres an upgrade for Michael Ciani? Finally, the guys make sure they answer your questions as they talk about the Galaxy's reliance on the suspended Zlatan Ibrahimovic, on whether the club can make any moves before the transfer window closes, and on if David Bingham is the big problem with the Galaxy's defense. In fact, Josh breaks out his stats to give you the best perspective on Bingham and we're sure Kevin has some baseball reference to tie it all together.   It's a 60-minute show packed with all the Galaxy-Centric topics you've been dreaming of! CoG Studios, CA -- The LA Galaxy battled out a tough draw against the Portland Timbers on Saturday afternoon. Despite some warm on-the-field temperatures, and without Ola Kamara or Zlatan Ibrahimovic (who didn't start), the Galaxy were able to get a goal from Chris Pontius and frustrate a red-hot Timbers team. So through all that, did the club figure some things out? Your hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter are back to bring you the best in Galaxy-talk, news, and entertainment. On today's show, they'll focus in on a bunch of interesting topics including the Galaxy's real success without having two of their best goal scorers in the starting lineup. Was Ibrahimovic's omission from the starting lineup due to injury concerns or was it just because he was tired? Or was it because the Galaxy tends to play differently when he's on the field? And where does David Bingham land in terms of all-time Galaxy performances? We're not actually sure. But one thing is for certain, he had one heck of a game on Saturday. And nine saves is a lot of saves. But the real meat of this podcast (we apologize to all the vegans for this comparison -- especially you Baggio), is talking about the Galaxy's policy regarding international call-ups and how they've been dishing out those rewards rather sparingly.  Are the Galaxy being unfair when they don't allow Sebastian Lletget to go to the U.S. Men's National Team for a friendly, but they allowed Kamara? Is there some big difference between the two players that might explain why one player gets to go play with Norway and the other is expected to put in 90 minutes on plastic turf, in hot temperatures against the Timbers? Could the Galaxy be burning some bridges here? We've got nearly 70 minutes of Galaxy-talk on the way and you're not going to want to miss this short turnaround show! We’re 90 minutes (OK, maybe 120) away from MLS Cup dreams being harbored by just four teams. The Conference Semifinal second legs are days away, and folks are starting to get a little nervy. Can the Red Bulls find their attack via Sacha Kljestan and take care of upstart Montreal? Doyle and Gass clash when to comes to the weapons at Jesse Marsch’s disposal. Speaking of clashes, David Villa escaped punishment from his run-in with Armando Cooper. The Toronto Sun’s Kurt Larson calls in to explain how the TFC squad are prepping for the big game and to take the fan temperature up North.   In the second segment, the guys head West to discuss what moves the Rapids can make to turn around their 1-0 deficit. Is Jermaine Jones the key? Should Kevin Doyle start? Then, in Dallas with Seattle already up 3-0, it’s time to ponder how Coach Of the Year candidate Oscar Pareja can inspire his team emotionally and tactically.   Armando Cooper gets his name put in for a CONCACAF Camp counselor position, but who stands alone on top of the playoff heap? Finally, the guys argue and agree about the awards snubs suffered by Giovinco and David Bingham, among others.
