Why in the world did the Dalai Lama ask a young boy to suck his tongue? The fact that this was called out so publicly is a great sign that people are fed up with people acting creepy toward our young children. In this episode we talk about the extremely inappropriate comment, including kissing the boy on the lips, followed by a very weak apology. This was chalked up to "innocent joking" that is routinely done with children. We believe the public is finally fed up with the excuses for these kinds of sick behaviors with our children. I had a great conversation with Daryl White who has a list of heresies within the mormon faith. We discuss foundational doctrinal points such as the adam and eve story and why he believes it would have been better for adam and eve to just obey. He believes the prophet nephi (a character in the book of mormon) was mistaken when he heard the voice of the lord instructing him to kill laban. He believes he heard the voice of satan. We explore many of his other heresies and dive deeper into why he believes the book of mormon is a real document and why it is foundational in his belief in god.

Creepypasta and Scary Stories Episode 52Crawl | A CreepypsataWhen you crawl through the sewers you find nothing but scary spirits to make you scream. The original story.EXCERPTThe air is heavy, stagnant, waiting. The drips and humming sound muffled now. Tall Man retrieves the matchbook, tears off a match, and tries to light it. Nothing – it’s a dud. So is the second one, and the third. Tall Man starts to panic. He wants a scrap of light, now. He fumbles with the fourth match, anxiously swipes it along the striking surface. A fizz of sulfur spells success. But that magic spark of life reveals something astonishing.Mere inches from him stares a pallid face, smeared with gruesome makeup. Blood-red worms burst from the head................Scary Internet Stories | Blind EyesOriginal StoryMusic by Myuu and Purple PlanetThe dark web is a facstinating place and so is the deep web. But what happens when urban legends and the paranormal clash with either? It's murder and insanity!EXCERPTBut our question was answered the next day. The day we were talking about the Blind Maiden site happened to be the night of the new moon, and one of our friends didn't show up to school the following day. We thought it was just him having a sick day, but then the cops showed up to the school and told our principal that he had gone missing. We looked at each other in shock. We sneaked into his house later that day, and we found that on the last entry of his internet browser history, he had gone onto a page the previous night which was only labeled “404 – Page Could Not Be Found”. This disturbed us immensely, but then again, we thought it could just be coincidental.Don't like commercials? Welcome to Edpisode #9 of the Where Else to Go podcast. Thank you for support as this podcast has grown and evolved, it means a lot to me. Today's guest is Jennifer Dombrowski and she's going to help us understand why Venice gets such an undeserved bad rap and give us some suggestions for turning that around, making Venice a great where else to go destination. We talked about how, just a few streets off the main area, you can find delicious, reasonably priced food, how to enjoy the other islands, and information on getting around and enjoying Venice. Jennifer says: "Venice is one of the must-sees in Italy, but there is so much more to the Italy's city built on the water than meets the eye (or your guidebook tells you). Venice is actually just one of the islands in the Venetian Lagoon and it's well worth hopping around on the water buses to see just how different one island is from another." Some of the islands she recommends: Burano: famous for its fisherman and lacemakers. Jennifer wrote a guide to Burano that's worth checking out. Mazzorbo: connected to Burano by a small wooden footbridge, most visitors never set foot on the sleep island home to the only winery and vineyard in the Venetian Lagoon Murano: famous for its glassblowers Lido: home to the only beach in the Venetian Lagoon and perfect for exploring on a bicycle Poveglia: the haunted and abandoned island Giudecca: once home to grand palaces, its now mostly residential but has great parks and restaurants Many of the recommendations Jennifer made in the podcast are small spots that don't have websites. When in Venice, find a local who can help you location the place, or maybe even make another recommendation. Here are a few spots Jennifer recommends that do have websites. Al Gatto Nero Venissa Row Venice Boat rental recommendation: Venice Boat Rent Jennifer Dombrowski is a location independent globe trotter who is based in Italy.
