Click here for more on this topic and other free resources - https://www.drjimrichards.com Truth is always truth, and all truth holds value! But how we apply it matters just as much as the truth itself. Sometimes, we take what is factually true and use it with motives or intentions that don't align with God's heart. When that happens, truth loses its power—it no longer reflects God's divine purpose. Instead of bringing life, it can become empty information that neither glorifies God nor serves His people. But God never intended for us to follow just the letter of the truth. Truth is more than facts or outward appearances—it is alive and infused with God's morals, values, and character. True truth is when what is right is applied from the motives and intentions of the heart of God through the Spirit. When we fail to yield to the Spirit in our pursuit of truth, all we're left with are facts—cold, lifeless, and disconnected from His will. That's why God reveals Himself as The Heart God—because truth flows from His very being, full of love, wisdom, and grace. Join me this week as we unlock the secret of connecting to God—Heart to Heart!
Sermon: Beholding a Heart for God, Heart for People Scripture: Galatians 4:1-20Series: GalatiansTeacher: Rev. Paul LawlerIn this sermon, Rev. Paul Lawler illuminates how easily we can slip back into measuring our worth by our achievements rather than resting in our identity as adopted children of God. Through Christ, we not only receive forgiveness but also inherit all the privileges of sonship—access to the Father's wealth and a direct relationship marked by heartfelt cries of "Abba, Father!"

In this final message in our series on the life of King David, Pastor Sam Park explores David's unexpected kindness toward his enemy as a window into God's astonishing mercy toward us, offering to replace our shame with honor and kindness. From 2 Samuel chapter 9. Preached at Saint Mo's, Charles Village, Baltimore on September 4th, 2022.
This message in our kid-friendly series on the life of king David explores David's confession and repentance after being confronted with his sin. The God of the Bible is kind and compassionate and will not reject a repentant heart. 2 Samuel chapter 12 and Psalm 51. Preached by Doyle Dunn in Baltimore City, MD, on 8/28/22.
Matt 22, 34-40: ‘Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?' Jesus said, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets also.' We cannot give the Lord the scraps. Just barely give him what we can conjure up. No, all our might is how we hone into the strengths and qualities and graces we have been given. When you have a heartfelt relationship with God, it moves beyond the simple formalities, niceties, and correctness. For some, the idea of loving God with all their heart seems too challenging. They become too aware of their limitations, their flaws. It's like too much pressure. What is the state of your heart. Music: Carlos Gardel, Soledad, arranged by Bert Alink. Rev. Vince is talking about complex machines doing relatively simple tasks, much like our own hearts. Listen to hear about how leading with your heart works to connect with God.
What is worship? Worship is the submission of all our nature to God. It is the quickening of conscience by his holiness; the nourishment of mind with his truth; the purifying of imagination by his beauty; the opening of the heart to his love; the surrender of will to his purpose – and all of this gathered up in adoration. – William Temple, Archbishop of Canterbury You have made us for yourself, and our heart is restless until it rests in you. – St. Augustine Worship does not satisfy our hunger for God; it whets our appetite. – Eugene H. Peterson Luke 4:14-16 Then Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread throughout the entire vicinity. He was teaching in their synagogues, being praised by everyone. He came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. As usual, he entered the synagogue on the Sabbath day Jesus modeled a life of worship Jesus' practice of worship was REGULAR, INTENTIONAL, PRIVATE, and PUBLIC Worship is a sacrifice of praise with our lips and our lives Hebrews 13:15,16 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Worship is an offering of our entire being, ignited by the Holy Spirit, as a living sacrifice to God. Romans 12:1 Therefore, brothers and sisters, in view of the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your true worship. Worship is an experience of Spirit and Truth. John 4:23-24 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” Discussion Questions: What is worship and why is it important for you personally and corporately? Would you say that worship is something that characterizes your life? What are some ways that you have made worship a “regular practice” in your life? If worship is about holistically engaging with God (Heart, Soul, Mind, Strength) What area is the easiest for you? What is the hardest area for you?

1 John 4:7–11 (ESV) — 7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. Define: Glory of God: Incommunicable Attributes: Communicable Attributes: Love of God: 1. God's Love is Planned and Purposed a. Creation i. Psalm 139:13 (ESV) — 13 For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. b. All Mankind- Believers and Unbelievers i. Matthew 5:44–45 (ESV) — 44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. c. Particularly in Believers i. Ephesians 1:3–5 (ESV) — 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will 2. God's Love is Unconditional 9-10 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 3. God's Love is Sacrificial Vs. 9 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. APPLICATION: How shall we respond? - Love for God: Heart mind and Soul - Love for Others - Have a Confident Hope in God's Eternal Love Romans 8:31–39 (ESV) — 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? 33 Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
In this episode, Maryann and I discuss how she “accidentally” made over $100,000 in four months! ...And how you can set yourself up to tap into God's extreme abundance as well. For over 40 years, Maryann Ehmann, Abundance Master, Dream Activator, Income Strategist and founder of Magnificent Love Coaching, has successfully worked with teens to seniors, the humble poor to the fabulously wealthy, as well as the frustrated unemployed to the exhausted high achieving professional, teaching and coaching them all to achieve that which they never had before. Her diverse experiences as a lawyer, financial adviser, and ministry leader give her a unique background to help solve a wide variety of issues. Even so, Maryann's sweet spot is supporting the spiritually inclined entrepreneur who may be stuck or plateaued but will stop at nothing in furthering their deepest desires and wildest dreams. TOPICS:- Acceleration of spiritual principles and results- Setting intention over our finances- Put a stake in the ground- The LIE of having to work like a dog to make money- Concentrating on something else while God brought in the $$- Making a decision and a declaration- Not settling for less = higher price tag...but worth it- Paying attention to that little “not quite right” feeling- Be ready to pivot with God- Heart's desire- Get the “YES” by sitting with God in the energy- See it as DONE, stay in that DONE energy- Maryann's Coalition of Queens program- Putting consistent content out creates connection- Staying in the space of joy, even in problem solving- Dial into the Lord every single day- Get on your seat of rest- Stories and programming that get in our way- What we say is sometimes in conflict of what God says- Get help walking out your destiny because stuff is often quite deep- Ministry mindset can be crippling- Desire to master money- Designing financial plans from a place of greed- Conflict between secular finances and the Word of God- Childlike wonder of God's word vs the oppression of religion- Shrinking your expectations and worldview- Perfectionistic sin-conscious in religion- Needing a radical shift in lifeQUOTES:- We torture ourselves with doubts.- Prov 10:22 The blessing of the Lord makes a man rich, and he adds no sorrow (struggle/striving/stress/toil) to it. We do that.- Her declaration was, “This is going to be the easiest, smoothest, most enjoyable move ever.”- What we decide, what we declare, is what we get to have.- Joy is contagious!- Rest in God's promises and adoration of us.- We are going into a greater consciousness of our oneness with Christ.- The more I got into religious systems, the broker I got!GOLD NUGGETS:1) Maryann doesn't have a special star over her head. Anything that anyone else believes for and receives can be true for you as well. Once we set an intention, we need to stay in the energy of “it just is”, rather than diminishing the effect of that intention by fretting, strategizing, and trying to figure out how it's going to happen.2) You can have those doubtful moments and thoughts for a beat or two, but you have to swim back to the surface and crawl back up on the rock of success.3) The energy of joy is contagious and connects people to you, and resting is the key to receiving.4) Where is the disconnect between you and every provision? It can only be in our stories of not believing that get in our way.LINKS:Adopt the mindset that prosperity is yours and discover how to access it: http://LoveEmpoweredSuccess.com/destinedtoprosper- Join the SCB Tribe: http://facebook.com/groups/scbtribe- Design your Leveraged, Scalable & Sustainable business model that brings Transformation in the world.
