In this third episode of the Oral History of the Dan Le Batard Show, we being with the arrival of the most important athlete in the history of South Florida, LeBron James. Dan, Stu, and Mike Ryan recount King James' time in Miami and reminisce on the sheer amount of incredible content that the Royal Penis provided. We also touch on the changes at the top of Lincoln Financial Group that led to tension between the DLS cast and the company's higher-ups. Finally, signs of a schism begin with Stugotz and Hoch moving to 2-a-days at The Ticket and Dan forming the nascent idea that would eventually become Highly Questionable, leading to even more personal and professional challenges. Additional commentary from Hoch, former SVP of Lincoln Financial, Dennis Collins, and PTI producer, Erik Rydholm, provides unique color that even Dan and Stu didn't know about. Make sure to stick around for another hilarious supercut, featuring Dan's Heat rants, Marc Hackman, and a lot of sun songs. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Amin is in the studio to discuss the Jontay Porter scandal with Dan and Greg Cote. The show continues to expand on the Shohei Ohtani scandal, and how betting scandals are being policed in a world where gambling is legal. Then, Tim Kurkjian joins the show in front of his fake background to continue the conversation about Shohei Ohtani. Also, he is starting a new podcast with his son, and Dan is very excited that he gets to share this time with his son the way he got to share Highly Questionable with Papi. Plus, Tim is really bad at technology and we bring out the Looks Like Game to make him giggle. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
"Highly Questionable" was the introduction to so many of your favorite personalities but the behind-the-scenes dynamics and mechanics of how it all came to be was never revealed like this before. In this "Best of South Beach Sessions: Highly Questionable," you'll hear from Mina Kimes on the pressure of what it was like to join Dan and Papi before really "getting the show" and what led Pablo Torre to wanting to team up with Dan yet again after HQ. Katie Nolan opens up about all of the challenges she was facing while working on the show... and the rockiness of what happened afterwards. Then, Israel "Izzy" Gutierrez talks about being in the middle of the father-son relationship between Dan and Papi and the secret inner workings to some of the show's best moments. Protect Mina Kimes at all costs. Dan and Mina don't hold back about the crazy, anxiety-filled playground that was "Highly Questionable", the ways they've learned to turn criticism into confidence over the years, and fighting off embarrassment, disappointment, and the downright stupid frustrations that still eat at them today. No one would dare sh*t on Mina or Dan after this... alright, maybe Dan. Watch Mina co-host "NFL Live" weekdays on ESPN and listen and subscribe to "The Mina Kimes Show featuring Lenny". Israel "Izzy" Gutierrez is an open book so he came ready to read Dan... Even after twenty years of friendship, there is a lot these two have never told each other until now. From how Izzy connected deeply with Dan before they ever met, to the fear, frustration, and pride of being an openly gay man in sports media, and why Izzy feels so far away from Dan lately, when he's still a "local Miami kid" right around the corner. They also speak to the mutual love between Papi and Izzy (and might shock some "Highly Questionable" fans with a show secret) and the grief and remorse that will live with Izzy for all of his remaining years... even when he plans to be here for another 80 more. Growing up, Cam dealt with academic and social challenges. Bullying and anxiety led him to join a boxing gym to protect himself. Cam had tried out but was unable to make any teams he tried out for. Boxing was the only available choice since no team had to be made. Cam quickly fell in love with the sport. He realized his potential to be great and dedicated every waking moment to be the best boxer possible. Cam's mental toughness served as his superpower in the ring. Within 2 years in the sport in 2008, Cam won the National Championship claiming the title as the #1 Super Heavyweight boxer in the country. Cam holds 4 Golden Gloves Championships, 6 US Championships, 3 PAL National Championships, 6 Ringside Championships, and 3 Olympic Trials. Cam holds the title as the Winningest Boxer in USA Boxing history. Cam's accomplishments are impressive but pale in comparison to the losses he has accumulated to reach this point. His story of resilience is so inspiring it's featured in the NETFLIX Original documentary COUNTERPUNCH. During his motivational speeches he shares how he faced adversities in and outside of the ring with a Championship Mindset. Boxing is the greatest metaphor because everyone is fighting their own battles. This is what makes Cam's message so relatable. "If you can fail without being discouraged, success becomes inevitable" is a quote that Cam lives by. Cam's secret to remaining resilient through ups and downs is keeping a positive mindset through practicing gratitude. Cam has been featured in several print and internet publications and digital media outlets, including: ESPN, Sports Nation, ESPN's Highly Questionable, Washington Post, Yahoo! Sports,Team USA, Bleacher Report, Rolling Stone, SB Nation, Kansas City Star, SI.com, ESPN Radio, Fox4KC, Mashable.com, Boxing News Online, The Sweet Science, news.com, Viva La Vegan, National Post, among many others.
