Johnny also owns and operates a shop in Iowa called Johnny Spaw Race Cars, Welding, and Metal Fabrication. He loves to give back to the racing community, and has helped a ton of racers! He said it perfectly in the show "Someone has to replace us" meaning the up and coming drivers. Special thank you to Johnny for taking the time to sit down with us, and he'll be back! Charlotte Motor Speedway’s tripleheader Memorial Day Weekend is in the books and Freddie Kraft, T.J. Majors and Brett Griffin are in studio to breakdown the weekend of action. First the gang receives a variety of gifts and reacts to them on the show while sharing stories from their week at home. Starting with Friday’s Truck Series race at Charlotte, the crew covers the vicious wreck involving Johnny Sauter and an essentially stopped truck on the frontstretch. Hear the spotters’ immediate thoughts upon seeing that accident and what should have been done differently. On Sunday, Denny Hamlin had some harsh words to describe Joey Logano’s driving. Find out what Hamlin said over the radio, what Logano’s spotter TJ’s response is and how Freddie feels about his bossman’s comments. Plus, hear how difficult passing was in the 600-mile event. Lapped cars played a noticeable role in how the World 600 unfolded. The spotters share their struggles helping their drivers navigate slower vehicles and what Kyle Busch did while racing for second late in the race. Hendrick Motorsports claimed 4 of the top-5 finishing positions for the second time in three weeks at Charlotte. The guys discuss the advantage the Chevrolet’s have found and how HMS decision making regarding its talent over the last half decade is paying off now. Chase Elliott’s spotter Eddie D’Hondt was indefinitely suspended last week following a recent arrest. Hear his fellow spotters’ take on the situation and what has unfolded over the last week involving D’Hondt and the No. 9 team. Plans for next season are beginning to take shape. Hear the gang react to the report Kurt Busch will run a second 23XI Racing car in 2022 and Freddie’s thoughts on potentially having a former champion as a teammate. Plus, the guys weigh in on NASCAR’s decision to run the championship race at Phoenix Raceway again in 2022. In Reaction Theatre, TJ gets a compliment and a song, Freddie gets asked an important question and one caller leaves the gang laughing in tears. Then the most impressive moments of the weekend are shared in Xfinity xFi More than Fast moment segment. The spotters are on their game when answering trivia question in Fast Lane. And there are too many “What an Idiot” candidates to count this week.

We'll also let you know if we think Ross Chastain can still make the post season and discuss whether or not Johnny Sauter should be suspended after his incident with Austin Hill.
Well. It was an interesting day from Iowa Speedway today as Ross Chastain went to victory lane in the Gander Outdoor Truck Series event only to become the first driver ever to be disqualified under NASCAR’s new system. What does it mean for Chastain? Brett Moffitt was credited with the win. Also, controversy arose when Austin Hill and Johnny Sauter got together on track. Hill hit Sauter, sending Sauter into the outside wall, virtually ending his day. Sauter then retaliated and went after Hill on track, slamming his truck into Hill’s. Hill continued but Sauter was parked for his actions by NASCAR. Questions remain as to whether or not Sauter will be suspended for his actions. We’ll give our thoughts on the deal. Plus, a nice win by Christopher Bell on Sunday night gave him another XFINITY Series win. We’ll review the race and the point standings from the race. Plus, we’ll take your phone calls 917-889-8280!
Myatt Snider has done quite a bit of racing this season but most of it has been overseas, so he’s here to educate us on the NASCAR Euro Series. To start, Snider offers a little insight into why he’s not full-time in the Truck Series after winning Rookie of the Year last season; how he’s trying to learn from watching Johnny Sauter; how many races Snider thinks he’ll run this year. Then we talk how he landed in the Euro Series; his first impressions upon arriving in a new environment; how racing in the United States (being aggressive, etc.) is different than the Euro Series; why Snider ended up on probation after his first race weekend; early expectations Snider has for the season; enjoying traveling the world and taking in new cultures; looking long term to making something happen in one of NASCAR’s top three series; if there’s any crossover from the Euro Series to NASCAR Trucks; trying to stay relevant this year with plenty of seat time, including running late models; an update on his flying adventures and how that helps him with racing. It wasn't his most dominant win of his career but it got the job done. Kyle Busch took the checkered flag in Sunday's Can-Am 500 at ISM Raceway in Phoenix, Arizona on Sunday. It's Busch's 51st career victory and his 8th of the 2018 season. He held off a hard charging Brad Keselowski for victory. It was a race that featured a lot of attrition including a major wreck late in the event involving playoff drivers Kurt Busch & Chase Elliott. The accident almost sealed the deal for Kevin Harvick, who had one of the fastest cars early in the going until spinning after a flat tire. After the incident, Harvick salvaged a decent day out of it but the car had lost its speed. He finished 7th but did advance into the championship four along with Kyle Busch, Joey Logano and Martin Truex Jr. Christopher Bell took the victory in Saturday's NASCAR XFINITY Series race at ISM Raceway. Bell needed to win after back to back tough breaks at Kansas and Texas. He proved that he is the man to beat this year with a stellar drive through the field to win his 7th race this season. Bell held off Daniel Hemric for victory. Hemric and Bell advanced to the championship four along with Tyler Reddick and Cole Custer. We'll talk about who we think will be the 2018 NASCAR XFINITY Series champion. We'll do the same with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Brett Moffitt took the win in Friday night's event, his fifth of the season. Moffitt joins Johnny Sauter, Justin Haley & Noah Gregson as the championship four in the truck series. Plus we'll take your phone calls at 917-889-8280!
Joey Logano took the victory in Sunday's First Data 500 at Martinsville Speedway. Logano had a long battle with Martin Truex Jr and Truex got around Logano late only for Joey to use his bumper and move Truex out of the way coming out of turn four. There were arguements on both sides and we'll give our takes on the finish. Logano's win locks him into the final four at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The race was a tough one for Clint Bowyer who spun late and finished in the 21st position. Plus, Johnny Sauter dominated the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event at Martinsville Speedway guaranteeing him into the final four at Homestead-Miami Speedway. We'll discuss the truck series event and what we can expect to see at Texas Motor Speedway. Also, Hendrick Motorsports announced a two-year deal for a sponsorship deal with Jimmie Johnson and the No. 48 Chevrolet. Ally Finanical will do all 36 races for the next two years. We'll talk about the deal and what it means for Johnson. It was also announced Tyler Reddick will be moving from JR Motorsports to Richard Childress Racing next season in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. This opens up a ride for JRM and we'll talk about the possibilities for that ride. We'll also preview this weekend from Texas Motor Speedway as we start to close out the 2018 season.
