Podcast Summary Jennifer Cobb, the trailblazing NASCAR driver and entrepreneur, takes the wheel in our latest episode to share her extraordinary journey through the fast lanes of racing and business. Join us as Jennifer recounts her impressive achievements, like her standout sixth-place finish at Daytona, and navigates the challenges of a male-dominated sport without the cushion of major financial sponsorships. She opens up about the pivotal role her family, particularly her late mother, had in her career, and how she managed to balance racing with life's practicalities, such as securing health insurance and buying a home. Now, Jennifer channels her unstoppable drive into a new role at Fastener Supply Company, where her story continues to inspire. Listeners will discover the profound parallels between the relentless world of racing and the high-stakes field of sales. From overcoming initial fear and intimidation to developing an entrepreneurial mindset, Jennifer and I exchange personal stories about the transformative journey towards confidence and the establishment of equal business stature. We discuss the critical importance of understanding one's purpose and the essential support of a dedicated team, illustrating how these elements are key to thriving in both racing and business landscapes. The lessons learned on the racetrack translate seamlessly into the business world, offering invaluable insights for anyone striving to achieve their goals. The NASCAR Cup Series raced at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI, for the first time since 1956 this Fourth of July weekend and the spotters are back, full of cheese curds, and ready to react to the road course action. Hear first how Brett Griffin, Freddie Kraft and T.J. Majors celebrated the holiday upon arriving home last night and who may not be completely sober yet. What was the culture like at the Wisconsin race track? The gang describes everything firsthand, from the people to the food, that makes Road America special. Then they talk about NASCAR's Fourth of July traditions and whether or not the race should still be in Daytona Beach. Sunday's race started off with group qualifying controversy as not every driver posted a lap time due to Bubba Wallace stopping on course. The crew debates what the best qualifying format should be at road courses and the dangers of spotting at a place with blind spots. The four-mile course often creates lengthy caution periods and it did so again on Sunday. Should every yellow flag last the length of a typical NFL halftime? The spotters weigh in and propose alternative ideas to prevent such long breaks in the action next time around. Matt DiBenedetto and Austin Cindric raced hard for the lead in Stage 2, a notable battle given the fact that Cindric is set to replace DiBenedetto in the No. 21 seat next season. Hear the crew's take on the battle and whether Cindric may be a candidate for another open ride in 2022. A silly season bombshell dropped last week as Trackhouse Racing announced its purchase of the “not for sale” Chip Ganassi Racing NASCAR program. The table reacts to the major news and discusses Justin Marks' business savvy, who may be losing their seat and which free agent is the most sought after for these new teams. Plus, thoughts on Dale Jr. saying that it may cost more to race in the Xfinity Series compared to the Cup Series next season. In Reaction Theatre, Brett bonds with a fellow South Carolinian, the guys discuss the salute Natalie Decker received in the Xfinity Series race, an upcoming foot race is established and the spotters recall the time a fan made a notable gesture to them at Talladega. Then, it's off to Atlanta Motor Speedway. The gang talks expected hot temperatures, slick racing and what special opportunities Offerpad has planned for fans in attendance.

It's tempting to look at someone who's been successful and assume it was an easy ride for them. For most people though, success didn't come easy at all. They pushed through a bunch of obstacles and kept persevering through a variety of setbacks. Confronting fear and anxiety, tolerating a lot of risks, maintaining a relentless focus on an ambition despite the odds or opinions- those are the ingredients that differentiate folks who make it and those who don't. And it's in those realities that we develop the resolve that will sustain us no matter what comes. This week I'm so thrilled for my new friend and Nascar racing sensation, Natalie Decker, to join us in our ongoing conversation about dreaming big.
