After Rory McIlroy dramatically became the sixth golfer in the modern history of the game to win the career Grand Slam at The Masters, Phil and Josh return to discuss this momentous occassion and everything that went on in the world of motorsports. Kyle Kirkwood added his name to the illustrious history at Long Beach, becoming a two-time winner of the event after winning pole for both races. Alex Palou's early season winning streak was ended, but he still had a strong finish. Multiple pit strategies and a completely green flag race made it interesting, while Penske's performance definitely was not Penske Perfect. Kyle Larson dominated 2/3 of the weekend at Bristol, winning the Cup and XFinity races. Yung Money ended up 2nd behind Chandler Smith in the Truck Series event. Rajah Carruth and Martinsville winner Daniel Hemric both had solid days along with the Niece duo. Oscar Piastri inserted himself into the title discussion with a dominant weekend at Bahrain, culminating in a win from pole. The McLaren driver held off Woody Russell and teammate Lando Norris to take the top step. Fish Lips was nowhere the entire weekend while Ferrari had mixed fortunes. Phil is competing as an Am in the ApexOne GT3 Endurance race at Catalunya, so he gives his thoughts on ACC and his feelings going into the event. Can Phil come through with a victory? Someone who many thought would have a victory at Augusta long before Sunday was Rory McIlroy. The Northern Irishman made it unnecessarily interesting throughout the final round, but held on in the first hole of the playoff to make history. Phil was focused on the Masters because it has always been his favorite golf tournament of the year, while Rory's win also was a happy result. The GSP Roundup covered F2/F3/F1 Academy, IMSA, MotoGP/Moto2, Supercars, Formula E, WSBK, WEC and Anthony Wayne Stewart's first career Top Fuel win at Las Vegas in the Four Wide Nationals, with Austin Prock (Funny Car) and Dallas Glenn (Pro Stock) taking the Wally's in their respective classes. Phil and Josh preview the Rockingham return for XFinity and Trucks and make picks along with the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Formula One race before Josh's Sim Segment and Show Close.

After a busy weekend of motorsports, Phil and Josh are ready to tell you all about it on E226 of the GSP. Hello Palou won from pole at Laguna Seca but didn't have it easy. Andretti Global and Arrow McLaren had their entire teams represented in the top 12, including the debuting Nolan Siegel in the No.6. Will Power struggled but salvaged a 7th place finish for points. Plenty of stuff including the introduction of hybrids and Faux taking over TV coverage are just some of the additional storylines heading into an off weekend. On the NASCAR side, Christopher Bell dominated at New Hampshire and also spilled the beans on Chase Briscoe being the replacement for the retiring Martin Truex, Jr. at the No.19 car in the Cup series. Bell was fast in the dry and the wet, but his future teammate Briscoe and current teammate Josh Berry used the rain to get podium finishes on a day where Briscoe was about to go a lap down in the first segment. Bell passed teammate Sheldon Creed on the last lap to win the XFinity race and go 4/4 at The Magic Mile in the series. Creed joins Dale Jarrett and Daniel Hemric for the most runner-ups prior to a first win in series history. Fish Lips continues his reign on F1 with a win at the spot of his first victory in Catalunya. Woody Russell beat FL and his buddy and polesitter Lando Norris off the line to lead, but the other two passed and went off in the distance. Sir Lewis Hamilton earned his first podium since Mexico last fall. Tire choices and pit stops played a key role in the result at a track that is brutal for overtaking. The GSP Roundup covers IMSA, Indy NXT, F2, F3, F1 Academy, NHRA, MotoGP, Moto2, WRC and Formula E before Phil and Josh preview the Austrian Grand Prix for F1 and the NASCAR tripleheader at Nashville. Josh lets us know about his karting exploits in the Sim/Karting segment prior to promotions.
Our buddy John Force was involved in a terrifying crash in his NHRA Funny Car on Sunday afternoon during the Virginia Nationals. We want to send our well wishes to John for a speedy recovery, and can't wait to see him back behind the wheel. If there is one person who has ever been on the Dale Jr. Download that is still brought up most, it's probably John Force. We're going to look back at some of the greatest moments from that interview and also talk to John's friend and competitor, Matt Hagan, about John's fiery competitiveness and his charismatic - and hilarious - personality. Plus, ask any driver, and they'll tell you what we all know is true: the sting of defeat is more intense than the euphoria of victory. With his second-place finish at New Hampshire, Sheldon Creed has now tied Daniel Hemric and Dale Jarrett for the most runner-up finishes ever before securing a NASCAR Xfinity Series win. We talk to Creed himself and hear from Daniel Hemric on the challenges of claiming that first victory.
Fords are now red hot, while Toyotas are ice cold at the halfway point in the season. Heather and Chris also preview the race at New Hampshire this weekend. Daniel Hemric stops by to talk about his season. Heather's final thought is on Christopher Bell's gaffe on Friday.
Denny Hamlin is back in studio after a 24th-place finish in Iowa. Denny discusses what happened with his car and why the No. 11 team missed the setup. Even still, Denny looked to have a chance to finish in the top 10 until he got caught up in an accident with Kyle Larson. Before this weekend's race, many were critical of the partial repave at Iowa Speedway. Denny explains why the track performed better than people expected. While the repave worked, Denny still has a request for Goodyear.Denny breaks down his POV from the driver's seat, including the unintentional contact with Larson. Denny and cohost Jared Allen discuss how Ricky Stenhouse Jr's strategy paid off, helping him get a top-five finish. Did NASCAR get it right with the Daniel Hemric caution call? The guys also talk about how Larson had the fastest car, but his day was finished when Daniel Suarez caused him to wreck. Meanwhile, the Fords had a quiet start to the season but they have found speed the last couple weeks as evidenced by Ryan Blaney and Austin Cindric's wins. Does that make Joey Logano the most dangerous driver on the cut line?Denny has had back-to-back bad weeks, but he isn't worried about how things are going. In their off-track discussion, Denny and Jared wonder if Sam Mayer should be one of the drivers considered for a Cup car next year. Denny's longtime teammate, Martin Truex Jr., announced that he is retiring from driving full time and Denny talks about what that means. Also, Denny gives the latest update on the charter discussions with NASCAR. Plus, fans send questions in for #DearDenny and we get a “pupdate” on Lulu. For more Actions Detrimental content, head over to our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@ActionsDetrimental

Hemric discusses his two seasons with Kaulig in Xfinity, the incoming jump to Cup and more. Source
Phil and Josh return for E187 of the GSP to discuss the NASCAR triple-header at Bristol, where Dennis Hamlin trolled the crowd and finally closed the deal to advance into the Round of 12 after his third Bristol night race win. The crew goes over all the action and who ended up on the wrong side of the cut line after 500 laps. Justin Allgaier held off Daniel Hemric to start his XFinity playoff with a win while Dale Earnhardt, Jr. returned and led before catching fire! Outside of those two, the rest of JR Motorsports had a rough evening and other teammates definitely left Bristol in a bad mood. Corey Heim advanced to Phoenix with his victory at Bristol for the Truck Series while Christian Eckes and Zane Smith also featured as the series goes to Talladega. The guys spend time to acknowledge Sherry Pollex and her untimely passing after a long battle with ovarian cancer and the input from someone who has been a virus in motorsports with Miss hUMMer. Zane Smith announced he will be driving for Trackhouse Racing in the Cup Series starting in 2024 through a partnership with Spire Motorsports after the team principles bought Live Fast Racing's charter for $40 million. On a rare weekend where Formula 1 fans were spared from seeing and hearing Fish Lips dominate (even when he did break rules and not pay for those transgressions), Carlos Sainz proved why he's a smooth operator with a pole and a second career F1 victory at Singapore. Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton rounded out the podium after George Russell bungled the finish taking a possible win and ending up in the wall. The guys go over other key battles and points before the series moves to Suzuka in Japan. Phil and Josh go over all things NFL after a chaotic Week 2, which included a live discussion of Nick Chubb's season ending injury for the Browns during MNF. Josh has his thoughts on the play-calling after Jacksonville ends up losing to Kermit The Frog along with his fantasy team. Phil looks at San Francisco's tight victory against the Rams and their TNF home opener versus the Giants. The GSP Roundup reviews SuperMotoCross Playoffs, NHRA, Extreme E, IMSA, Supercars, MotoGP/Moto2 in India and WSBK at Aragon before Phil and Josh preview and make picks behind Fish Lips for the F1 Japanese Grand Prix. The guys preview and make picks for the worst active track on Planet Earth (Cup and XFinity at Texas Motor Speedway) before Josh's Sim Segment and Show Close.
