In the first of what will be three jam-packed segments, Frank Stoddard remembers going to work on a farm at an extraordinarily young age and how that played into him getting into racing. We then go Busch North racing … then Busch South … then back to Busch North with Stub Fadden, before finally heading to the Winston Cup circuit with Jeff Burton. We then dive into the January 20, 2005 issue of NASCAR Scene. Everybody else is headed for Daytona, while host Rick Houston is living life as a brand-new teacher and Brian France SAYS he isn't looking for a new gig himself as an NFL team owner. NASCAR bans the Hutchens device … and Ryan Newman doesn't like it … a reader REALLY doesn't like Jeff Gordon … a fan maybe likes Michael Waltrip a little TOO much … and Kyle Petty LIKES Janet Jackson's Super Bowl performance. In this episode of Intermittent Fasting Stories, Gin talks to Amanda Hutchens from Tyler, TX.Are you ready to take your intermittent fasting lifestyle to the next level? There's nothing better than community to help with that. In the Delay, Don't Deny community we all embrace the clean fast, and there's just the right support for you as you live your intermittent fasting lifestyle. You can connect directly with Gin in the Ask Gin group, and she will answer all of your questions personally. If you're new to intermittent fasting or recommitting to the IF lifestyle, join the 28-Day FAST Start group. After your fast start, join us for support in The 1st Year group. Need tips for long term maintenance? We have a place for that! There are many more useful spaces beyond these, and you can interact in as many as you like. Visit ginstephens.com/community to join us. An annual membership costs just over a dollar a week when you do the math. If you aren't ready to fully commit for a year, join for a month and you can cancel at any time. If you know you'll want to stay forever, we also have a lifetime membership option available. IF is free. You don't need to join our community to fast. But if you're looking for support from a community of like-minded IFers, we are here for you at ginstephens.com/community. Amanda is a neonatologist who works in the NICU. Amanda shares the struggles with body image that she has had since high school, including disordered eating behaviors that led to weight loss success but were not healthy for her body or sustainable for the long term. During her college and medical training years, and the early years of parenthood, she faced weight fluctuations, anxiety, and postpartum depression. Despite trying various diets throughout the years, Amanda gave up when those approaches were not sustainable, and she reached her highest weight of 306.2 pounds in 2023. Her parents had been successful with IF, following Dr. Jason Fung's approach, and they recommend IF to Amanda. Though she wasn't ready the first time she heard about it, when she started in 2023, she found intermittent fasting to be the natural and effective solution she needed. After reading Gin's book Fast. Feast. Repeat. and Dr. Jason Fung's The Obesity Code, she was ready to start fasting. Within a year, she lost 130 pounds and experienced a dramatic improvement in her health, no longer needing medications for reflux, blood pressure, depression, or anxiety.Amanda discusses the importance of focusing on long-term health rather than falling for fad diets and restrictive eating plans. She highlights the value of consistency, self-compassion, and patience in her journey. Both Gin and Amanda reflect on the simplicity and natural effectiveness of intermittent fasting compared to other marketed weight loss programs. They emphasize the importance of not reverting to old habits and maintaining a lifestyle that supports long-term health and well-being.To wrap up, Amanda shares numerous non-scale victories she achieved, such as better physical comfort on airplanes, increased mobility, and a sense of strength through exercise. Her final advice to those starting their intermittent fasting journey is to read Fast. Feast. Repeat. and understand the science behind fasting. Amanda emphasizes the significance of consistency, self-compassion, and patience, encouraging listeners to be kind to themselves as they embrace this new lifestyle for improved health and well-being.Get Gin's books at: https://www.ginstephens.com/get-the-books.html. Good news! The second edition of Delay, Don't Deny is now available in ebook, paperback, hardback, and audiobook. Beth Hutchens is the founder and creative director of the luxury jewelry company Foundrae. Beth started her career working in fashion, first as a trim buyer, and then assistant designer at the womenswear brand Cynthia Rowley. There, she met Rebecca Taylor, and the two bonded quickly over their shared tastes and dream of working in fashion. At age 23, Beth took the leap with Rebecca and co-founded the womenswear line Rebecca Taylor. Beth took on the CEO role, and over the next 18 years guided the company through massive growth, e-commerce, retail expansion, and eventually, acquisition. By 2014, she knew she wanted to do something new, so she stepped down from Rebecca Taylor and quickly launched her jewelry brand, Foundrae (”Rae” being in reference to her beloved grandmother). The new project allowed her to return to her designer roots, creating whimsical, sturdy, gorgeous pieces that draw the eye and the heart. The brand has become a favorite of celebrities like Emily Ratajkowski, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Dua Lipa. Foundrae now has multiple stores across the U.S., with three more to come later this year in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

I had a great conversation with my good buddy, Andy. Andy shared his background, revealing that he grew up in the Lansing area before moving to Traverse City, where he has lived most of his life. We delved into his hunting journey, starting with rifle hunting at a social club and later transitioning to bow hunting thanks to his friends. Andy then shared his experience of starting his own podcast, inspired by his love for deer camps and the camaraderie they bring. He talked about the challenges of podcasting, particularly scheduling guests, and the rewarding aspects, such as meeting new people and forming lasting friendships. We discussed the differences between guided hunts and do-it-yourself hunts, with Andy sharing his experiences hunting in various states like Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, and Texas. He expressed a preference for the process and satisfaction of do-it-yourself hunts. The conversation shifted to the hunting scene in Northern Michigan, where Andy noted the positive impact of antler point restrictions (APRs) over the past 20 years. He mentioned the increase in deer population and quality, although hunting pressure has also increased. Andy shared his thoughts on the Mitch Rompola buck and the skepticism surrounding it. Finally, we discussed Andy's Habitat Day event, which showcased various habitat management techniques and products https://www.instagram.com/the.deercamp.podcast?igsh=Z2dicjVnb2l0aXkx ► SOCIAL MEDIA Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/generations_to_hunt_podcast/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@generationstohuntpodcast193 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Generationstohunt https://vparchery.com/collections/all VPA Code GTH10 Latitude Outdoors The sale is 20% off site wide while supplies last at www.latitudeoutdoors.com The sale will run until 5/31 Huntworth camo - https://huntworthgear.com
