Championship winning crew chief Jonathan Toney joins Davey Segal (6:42) for an insightful and feel-good conversation that spans over two decades with one single team. Toney explains how working with Sheldon Creed in the NASCAR Xfinity Series really isn't too different so far than it was working with Cole Custer, the rash of runner-up finishes Creed has scored, team chemistry at Haas Factory Team in this new iteration of the organization and more. Toney also dives into all the change the team has seen over his time, from Haas CNC Racing to Stewart-Haas Racing and now HFT. He explains why he's stayed loyal to the company despite numerous offers to go elsewhere over the years, why the Xfinity Series is the right place for him to be as a crew chief right now from a work/life balance perspective, the conversations leading up to 2023 before he finally got his chance to be a crew chief for the first time and how rewarding it was to win a championship with Custer in his first year at the helm. Toney also reminisces on the 2011 title run with Tony Stewart, what it was like to be a part of that team, some memorable tales from Homestead-Miami Speedway on championship weekend and more, including the vibe at the team when Stewart came in at first and his Hickory, North Carolina roots. Davey also recaps the tripleheader weekend of action at Martinsville Speedway and addresses the debacle of an Xfinity race that saw Sammy Smith penalized, previews Darlington Raceway and Papa Segal pays homage to Raymond Parks in this week's wayback segment.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. welcomes longtime NASCAR Cup crew and car chief Tony Gibson to the Download to learn about his path from the short tracks of the Southeast to stock car glory. Growing up in a racing household, in the shadows of Daytona International Speedway, Tony began working on his father Bo Gibson's cars at an early age. Tony's older brothers Mark and Pepe also began racing at local strongholds like New Smyrna and Jacksonville and found lots of success at the late model level. Tony explains that Mark's career advancing into the ARCA and Busch Grand National ranks is what helped get his foot in the door of the NASCAR world. And before long he moved from his family home in Florida to North Carolina to work with Norman Negre -- It was there that Tony made Alan Kulwicki's acquaintance. Eventually he would follow Alan, from renting part of the Negre shop, to his own AK Racing outfit, where he'd work for several years. Tony talks about the challenges of working with Alan and the major triumph of winning the 1992 NASCAR Cup Championship as an independent team. He also opens up about the tragic plane crash that claimed Alan's life and how it changed the culture of the team and NASCAR garage forever. Tony would leave for Georgia, working with Bill Elliott for a time before reuniting with Ray Evernham at Hendrick Motorsports at the famed 24 team. Dale and Tony also discuss his years spent at Dale Earnhardt Inc., Stewart-Haas Racing and his current position at HMS working at Hendrick Tech Solutions.Dirty Mo Media is launching a new e-commerce merch line! The NASCAR regular season came to an end on Sunday in Darlington with a surprise winner when Chase Briscoe punched his ticket to the Playoffs.Denny Hamlin and co-host Jared Allen discuss what this win means for Stewart-Haas Racing, who is closing their doors for good when the season ends. Three of SHR's charters have been sold and whoever bought the charter of the winning car on Sunday will get a boost in money. The move that propelled Briscoe to victory came after a restart as he passed three cars to get in first place. Denny explains how that happened. Denny also talks about what went wrong for him on the restarts at the end of the race. Did Chris Buescher right rear hook Todd Gilliland?Sunday's race was bittersweet for Denny and 23XI. Bubba Wallace was firmly on the bubble and things didn't go his way and he will miss the Playoffs. On the flipside, Tyler Reddick was able to win the driver's regular season championship by one point. The guys also talked about the art of short-pitting to gain an advantage. And, at what point did tire wear stop and the tires were even?Denny had a fast car but the only problem was he was fast on the long run. With so many races ending with multiple cautions, producer Travis asked Denny if his set-up should always favor short runs. The Playoffs begin next weekend in Atlanta and expect chaos. Plus, 23XI's Curtis Polk made a statement about the NASCAR Charter negotiations. Drivers that you can bet on this weekend are Corey LaJoie, Austin Dillon, Bubba Wallace, Ross Chastain & Harrison Burton. Denny Hamlin is having one of the worst stretches of racing in a couple of years. But he's won the last three races on concrete. Letarte thinks this is a rebound weekend and you better have Hamlin on your betting slip. Xfinity has a stacked field this week with eight drivers racing in Xfinity and Cup. However, Letarte says bet Ty Gibbs or John Hunter Nemechek. Plus, Clint Bowyer makes his return this weekend racing in the Truck Series. For more NASCAR betting content, head over to our YouTube channel: Nashville: Longshot Top 10's, RCR Struggles & HMS's Weekend

Steve Letarte and the boys are back after a successful weekend betting on the U.S. Open thanks to the heater Tampa Timms was on. NASCAR is headed to New Hampshire this weekend, and Christopher Bell is the heavy favorite in the Xfinity race. But Tampa Timms has his eyes on someone else to cash him a winning bet.Steve explains why track position is important for the Cup race on Sunday. Stewart-Haas Racing announced this is their final season and the guys discuss if it's time to start fading them. Or is there still value in betting on them to finish in the top 10?Steve and the Professor have a friendly wager on Alex Bowman winning one race this year. This weekend, he sits at 60-1 odds, and Tampa Timms has already fired off a bet for him to win. He has also been a top-10 machine, and Tampa Timms is hoping that continues. The Professor believes Bubba Wallace at 40-1 odds to win is a better bet.Another driver the guys think could end up in victory lane is Brad Keselowski. Are the sportsbooks sleeping on Chase Elliott? It's been three weeks since Toyota has won a race. Steve thinks this could be the weekend. One bet he loves is the number of Toyota's in the top 10. The guys also chat about drivers winning a stage and the race, drivers to complete 150 laps and more. For more NASCAR betting content, head over to our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@DirtyMoDough

Denny Hamlin is back in studio after a 24th-place finish in Iowa. Denny discusses what happened with his car and why the No. 11 team missed the setup. Even still, Denny looked to have a chance to finish in the top 10 until he got caught up in an accident with Kyle Larson. Before this weekend's race, many were critical of the partial repave at Iowa Speedway. Denny explains why the track performed better than people expected. While the repave worked, Denny still has a request for Goodyear.Denny breaks down his POV from the driver's seat, including the unintentional contact with Larson. Denny and cohost Jared Allen discuss how Ricky Stenhouse Jr's strategy paid off, helping him get a top-five finish. Did NASCAR get it right with the Daniel Hemric caution call? The guys also talk about how Larson had the fastest car, but his day was finished when Daniel Suarez caused him to wreck. Meanwhile, the Fords had a quiet start to the season but they have found speed the last couple weeks as evidenced by Ryan Blaney and Austin Cindric's wins. Does that make Joey Logano the most dangerous driver on the cut line?Denny has had back-to-back bad weeks, but he isn't worried about how things are going. In their off-track discussion, Denny and Jared wonder if Sam Mayer should be one of the drivers considered for a Cup car next year. Denny's longtime teammate, Martin Truex Jr., announced that he is retiring from driving full time and Denny talks about what that means. Also, Denny gives the latest update on the charter discussions with NASCAR. Plus, fans send questions in for #DearDenny and we get a “pupdate” on Lulu. For more Actions Detrimental content, head over to our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@ActionsDetrimental
