NASCAR is headed to Phoenix for the championship finale but before that happens, Steve Letarte and the guys react to all the craziness that happened last weekend at Martinsville. Joey Logano, Tyler Reddick, Ryan Blaney and William Byron are racing for a championship, but that doesn't mean they are the four favorites according to the Professor. His model only has Blaney and Byron in Tier 1. The other drivers at the top are Christopher Bell, Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin. While Bell isn't racing for a championship the guys think he is the odds-on favorite to win.Reddick is the lowest driver of the Championship 4 contenders, sitting in Tier 3. Logano sits in Tier 2 but having two weeks to gameplan for this race could help him. However, Tampa Timms has his eyes on Logano and Reddick top-5 bet. The guys then guess what Vegas has for average finishing position for: Harrison Burton, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Daniel Suarez, Bubba Wallace, and Austin Cindric. The best bet on the board is a two-way bet. Bet Bubba top-10 at +250 and over average finishing position of 14.5.The guys also handicap the champ 4 for Xfinity and trucks. And, last but not least in the Degenerate 4 Pack this week is:                Texas team total over 29.5 vs Florida                Indiana -6.5 vs Michigan                Eagles -6.5 vs Cowboys                Lions -3.5 vs Texans For more content head to our YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@DirtyMoDough

Dale Earnhardt Jr. welcomes legendary NASCAR Crew Chief Buddy Parrott to the Dirty Mo Media Studio to learn more about the pivotal role he played in some of NASCAR's greatest moments. Growing up in Gastonia, North Carolina, Buddy participated in competitive diving all through high school before finding his way to a race at Birmingham International Raceway on behalf of Huggins Tire Service. Buddy would take a job with the company working as a tire man for their NASCAR events, mounting tires for the entire Cup field on a regular basis. It was through this service that he met the legendary Harry Hyde, and not long after Buddy would approach him for an opportunity to work on his famed K&K Insurance Dodge team. Buddy explains that his time with Harry was invaluable, and he considered him to be his mentor, teaching him everything he knew about race cars and racing setups.Buddy would make the decision to split from the team when Kentuckian Ferrel Harris came to the shop to purchase a racer and some Raymond Fox prepared engines. While working with Harris, Buddy also spent time teaming up with Robert Gee to help prepare his dirt cars, which were chauffeured by none other than Carolina ace Hayward Plyler and a young Dale Earnhardt. Dale Jr. was surprised to learn that Buddy served as crew chief for his father's 1976 Atlanta 500 attempt in a car owned by Johnny Ray, which was famously destroyed in a crash. Buddy would move on to the DiGard Motorsports outfit to team with Darrell Waltrip and take the NASCAR Cup scene by storm in the late 1970s. Listeners can hear all of this, plus more about Buddy's time working on Harry Ranier's Gray Ghost, helping Richard Petty win his 200th win and the 1990 Daytona 500.21+ and present in North Carolina. Steve Letarte talks about what it was like in the booth with Jeff Burton as Harrison Burton punched his ticket to the NASCAR Playoffs. NASCAR is now headed to Darlington for the final race of the regular season. In Tier 1 of the Professor's model is: Tyler Reddick, Denny Hamlin, William Byron, Kyle Larson, Ryan Blaney, and Chase Elliott. The surprise driver in this group is Chase Elliott. He sits in Tier 1 on the Professor's model, but in Vegas he sits 14th and is +2200 to win. After hearing this, Tampa Timms fired off the bet immediately. The guys also chat about Denny Hamlin's penalty and what this means for him going forward. Martin Truex Jr. has yet to win in his final season and don't look for that to end this weekend.  On top of having Elliott on his bet slip, Tampa Timms is also going to have Reddick. Joey Logano and William Byron are on his radar but he has yet to pull the trigger on those.Average finishing position bets are back this week. This Harrison Burton story involving a final-lap lead change that vaulted him from nowhere to the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs is a lot better than the one that had been dominating the headlines. Burton, who had lost his ride with Wood Brothers Racing for 2025, didn't need to wreck anybody to get the win in Daytona on Saturday night. It was just good, clean racing that got Burton, the son of retired NASCAR veteran Jeff Burton, who was on the call for NBC's coverage of the race, into the winner's circle, and into the 2024 playoffs.

Denny Hamlin is back after a rough couple of days on and off the track. On Thursday, the No. 11 team was given an L2 penalty for an engine-rule violation. Denny explains what happened at TRD that caused NASCAR to punish him. He also talks about the impact this will have during the Playoffs. On Saturday, things got worse when he was involved in a massive wreck that ended his race. Denny watched the rest of the race from his bus, where he saw Harrison Burton get the win and punch his Playoff ticket. Denny and Jared also discuss if Christopher Bell should have jumped to the outside lane and moved in front of Burton before Burton made his last push. After a crazy wreck last week, NASCAR made a slight change to the cars to try and prevent them from going airborne. On Saturday, we saw Michael McDowell come off the ground without flipping over. But then, Josh Berry flipped onto his roof before hitting the wall.  While both wrecks looked bad, Denny still isn't worried about cars coming off the ground. The guys also talk about the massive implications that come from Burton winning on Saturday. For Wood Brothers Racing, it was a big financial win. On the flipside, drivers on the bubble lost one more available playoff spot with only one race in the regular season left. Burton was 34th in points coming into Saturday and with him winning, the Playoff format is once again coming into question. One of those drivers who might miss the Playoffs now is 23XI's Bubba Wallace. Denny chats about his driver's situation. Off the track, Trackhouse made big news announcing that they acquired a third charter for SVG. The guys chat about SVG's future and Zane Smith losing his ride for next year. For more Actions Detrimental content, head to our YouTube page: https://www.youtube.com/@ActionsDetrimentalFanDuel disclaimer: 1+ and present in North Carolina. NASCAR is returning to Chicago this weekend for street course racing and the defending champion is Shane Van Gisbergen. This time the books have him listed pre-practice as the favorite, unlike last year. But, can he repeat? One driver The Professor is higher on than the books is Chris Buescher. Tampa Timms agrees as a driver to win, but he also likes betting him for top-5.Justin Haley and Rick Ware Racing have impressed everyone lately, and Tampa Timms thinks he could be a sleeper for a top-10 at +360. Kyle Busch hasn't had the best season so far, but this race could be one that jumpstarts his season.Carson Hocevar enters the weekend a little lighter as NASCAR fined him 50k for wrecking Harrison Burton last weekend and Steve Letarte reacts to the decision. The top-10 parlays have caught Tampa Timms' eye this weekend. The one he has circled is William Byron and Chris Buescher at +230.SVG isn't a full-time Cup driver and Steve thinks after last year the Cup guys are going to race him a little harder. While SVG is a fan favorite, Reddick vs SVG in qualifying is a bet Tampa Timms liked so much that he placed it mid-pod. Reddick is getting plus money so if you like that number act now. Another matchup they looked at was Ross Chastain vs. Ryan Blaney. The guys once again are looking at average finishing position. Drivers you can bet on are Christopher Bell, Tyler Reddick, Brad Keselowski, Ty Gibbs & AJ Allmendinger. The guys also take a look at the Xfinity before Steve gives the floor to producer Travis who has some Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest bets.
