Jordy Nelson joins the show to talk Brazil trip, his high school dominance, and the life of a farmer.
Jen Gabe & Chewy start the 2nd hour of the show talking about the biggest Draft Steals for the Green Bay Packers in the past 25 years. Names including David Bahktiari, Aaron Jones, Aaron Kampman, Donald Driver, Jordy Nelson, Aaron Rodgers etc. Mel Kiper and Field Yates latest mock draft came out with the Packers drafting Safety, Linebacker, and Offensive lineman. Will the Packers end up drafting more players on the offensive side of the ball, or the defensive side of the ball. Is Cooper Dejean the right player for the Packers, or is Graham Barton a better option. Boban purposely missed a free throw for fans to win free Chic-Fil-A last night. How would you feel if your teams player missed a shot on purpose in a meaningless game. Hibachi... Overrated or underrated? Would you rather talk to your neighbors or get hit by a truck?
Jason Wilde joins Jen Gabe & Chewy to talk about Brian Gutekunst's comments yesterday at the NFL Meetings in Orlando specifically regarding Jordan Love's big contract extension planned for this offseason, and Gutey discussing why he moved from Aaron Jones to Jordy Nelson.
What's it like working closely with Aaron Rodgers? Did the players in the locker room think Mike McCarthy was a problem? Who's your favorite Disney Princess? These are just a few of the many topics I discussed with Lane Taylor, a former offensive lineman for the Green Bay Packers who spent 8 years protecting Aaron Rodgers. Leo is on the golf course today so it's Balky with Alex Thomas! The guys get the show started today discussing Jordy Nelson's legacy and does he get into the Hall of Fame? We preview New Orleans vs. Green Bay and some keys to victory for the Packers.
The 2023-24 NFL season is upon us as the Green Bay Packers beat the Bears 38-20 in a Week 1 game that somehow felt over when the score was 10-6. Jordan Love makes his debut as the starting quarterback of the future for the Green Bay Packers and continues his predecessor's tradition of beating up on the Chicago Bears, and the Packers' defense puts existential dread into the Chicago locker room and front office. "Is Justin Fields the Guy?" "What does all this mean?" "Should we even be here?" Mike and Matt ponder which Packers great will commit the next big crime. We hope it isn't Jordy Nelson or Makinton Dorleant, but if it's Dean Lowry no tears will be shed. Stay cheesy, drink beer, watch football. You don't have to worry about if Jordan Love is the future right now, you can just have fun hoping.

The guys start the second hour reviewing Matt LaFleur's comments on Jordan Love and Aaron Rodgers from the NFL Owner's meetings. They rehash Tausch's explosive Tweet about how Gutey cutting Jordy Nelson was the start of his sour relationship with Rodgers. Brewers Opening Day trivia is followed by some discussion of the new pace-of-play rules implemented by the MLB this season.
The hour begins with more Aaron Rodgers talk. Did you hear who else is coming to the Jets? Jordy Nelson? Mark Tauscher? Shawn Wendt?! We talk all possible situations with Rodgers and his impending announcement later today. Moving on later in the hour the news of the Russian pilot crashing into the American drone that was supposedly over national waters. This obviously increasing tensions between Russia and the US. The hour wraps with gross hotel rooms.

Aaron Rodgers does not heap praise on rookies lightly, but this week he said the only rookie receivers who have consistently made "wow" players like fourth-round pick Romeo Doubs ended up being in the top-10 Packers receivers all-time. Jim Rutledge and Alex Strouf discuss Jordy Nelson's appearance at Packers Training Camp. Where would Nelson rank if he signed with the Packers? Fred Segal, creator of Freezing Cold Takes, joins the show to discuss his new book.
Action Network fantasy football experts Chris Raybon and Sean "The Oddsmaker" Koerner are back to deliver an eight-part series, breaking down each team by division for the upcoming 2022 NFL season. They'll evaluate fantasy-relevant players' average draft position plus any potential sleepers or bust candidates to get you prepped for best ball and redraft leagues. This week, the duo covers the AFC South and starts things off with Indianapolis Colts. Matt Ryan, aka Matty Ice, is now the starting QB [2 MIN] and looks like he's more equipped offensively than in years past. In most formats, Jonathan Taylor remains the RB1, but will Michael Pittman shine as the WR1? Who will win out between Parris Campbell and rookie Alec Pierce? Are the comps to Jordy Nelson justified? Next, they discuss the Tennessee Titans [18 MIN] and whether now might be the time to fade Derrick Henry at age 27, coming off an injury-plagued 2021 season. QB Ryan Tannehill is without A.J. Brown now, so how is his outlook with rookie Treylon Burks potentially stepping into the WR1 role? Is the addition of veteran WR Robert Woods enough to keep Tannehill's draft stock alive? And what about the Urban Meyer-less Jacksonville Jaguars [31 MIN]. Does Trevor Lawrence have some appeal as a low-end QB1 with rushing upside? The RB room looks bleak, and Travis Ettiene has emerged as the lead back. Is he a sleeper worth paying up for? Christian Kirk got the BAG. But will free agent WR Zay Jones be a valuable option that could cut into Kirks' production? They close things out with the lowly Houston Texans [45 MIN]. Davis Mills is the likely starter which should bode well for WR Brandin Cooks. However, will Rex Burkhead and Marlon Mack battle it out for RB1 duties? Or will the rookie Dameon Pierce be worth a flier to overtake them on the depth chart? Make sure to subscribe, rate, and review to hear each division in this eight-part series. Raybon and Koerner will be back next week to cover the NFC South, so stay tuned!
The Autumn Windbags: The Best Las Vegas Raiders Podcast Ever!
Davante Adams is a Las Vegas Raider! Derek Carr said he would buy Adams a car to get him on the team so what car should he get him? Davante Adams trade from the Green Bay Packers to the Raiders completely changed the wide receiver market in the NFL. Soto walks us through how the DeAndre Hopkins trade from the Houston Texans to the Arizona Cardinals led to Tyreek Hill leaving the Kansas City Chiefs. The Kansas City Chiefs have now lost Tyreek Hill, Tyrann Mathieu (FA), Jarran Reed, CB Charvarius Ward, Mike Remmers, Demarcus Robinson and others. With the team shedding players for cap space, the Windbags discuss if the dynasty is over in Kansas City. The Windbags looked at the ten biggest contracts given out in free agency during the Jon Gruden era. Trent Brown, Tyrell Williams, Lamarcus Joyner, Cory Littleton, Yannick Ngakoue, Carl Nassib, Nick Kwiatkoski, Tahir Whitehead, Marcus Mariota and Jordy Nelson. Gruden was a terrible talent evaluator. The Raiders haven't made any big splashes at offensive line so it looks like the starting line is Kolton Miller, Jon Simpson, Andre James, Denzell Good, Alex Leatherwood and Brandon Parker. It looks like Josh McDaniels and company didn't look at Tom Cable as a good coach and they can coach these guys up. Does Derek Carr have thin skin? He took to Twitter explaining why he blocks everyone. 0:00 Intro 1:00 Question of the Day 4:50 Davante Adams Changes the AFC West 20:25 Is the Chiefs Dynasty Falling Apart? 29:14 Jon Gruden SUCKED in Free Agency 41:09 The Offensive Line Philosophy 52:27 Derek Carr's Thin Skin 1:00:53 What Up, Windbags?
