The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (03/19/2025): 3:05pm- Last week, President Donald Trump issued orders to deport roughly 250 dangerous gang members who entered the U.S. unlawfully—sending them to El Salvador where they will be held at the country's “terrorism confinement center.” Judge James E. Boasberg, of the U.S. District Court for D.C., ordered the Trump Administration to have the planes reverse course and return the detainees to the United States. However, due to the late timing of the order, the Trump Administration followed through with the deportation as planned. The administration contends the removals were lawful and within the established powers of the executive branch, specifically citing the Alien Enemies Act of 1798. According to a new report from The Daily Wire, Judge Boasberg—an Obama appointee—has a history of halting President Trump's immigration policies and also offered a lenient sentence with no jail time for an FBI official largely responsible for the Trump/Russia collusion hoax. 3:30pm- Rich reveals that it's Matt's birthday. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz added, “The president has made it clear…that all fighting needs to end.” 3:15pm- Last week, in a post to X, Secretary of State Marco Rubio wrote: “Those who support designated terrorist organizations, including Hamas, threaten our national security. The United States has zero tolerance for foreign visitors who support terrorists. Violators of U.S. law—including international students—face visa denial or revocation, and deportation.” On Sunday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested Mahmoud Khalil—a former Columbia University graduate student and a lawful permanent resident alien—who has been outspoken about his support for the terrorist organization Hamas. The Trump Administration intends to deport Khalil, who was born in Syria. But does this infringe upon free speech rights? In National Review, legal expert Andrew C. McCarthy notes that Khalil's association with, and vocal support for, Hamas are debatable grounds for deportation—however, Khalil likely engaged in unlawful activities, citing the numerous arrests that occurred as a result of destructive, unauthorized on-campus protests. This makes the case against Khalil more compelling. Advocates for unhoused people in the Twin Cities are scrambled to open warming centers during Monday's cold snap. In early January there were a string of fires at homeless encampments in Minneapolis this month. Two encampment fires ignited just six blocks apart on the same day in south Minneapolis. Advocates for the homeless say more than 200 people were displaced from the incidents. Two of those advocates are Christin Crabtree and Nicole Mason, who support unhoused people through Camp Nenookaasi. They're fundraising to buy land in the area to prevent people from getting displaced again. Crabtree and Mason joined Minnesota Now to talk about it.
