Akhir pekan lalu, kasus dugaan teror terhadap YF, seorang ASN di Kementerian Keuangan, menyita perhatian khalayak. YF diserempet dua pengendara motor berhelm full face, usai mengantar anaknya ke TK. Selang beberapa jam, ia kembali diserempet dua pengendara motor, lagi-lagi berhelm full face, hingga terjatuh.Teror ini terjadi usai opininya di media daring detik.com tayang, dengan judul "Jenderal di Jabatan Sipil: Di Mana Merit ASN?". Merasa terancam, YF disebut meminta tulisannya diturunkan atau di-take down.Kasus yang menimpa YF dipandang sebagai alarm kesekian dari ancaman kebebasan berpendapat. Ruang demokrasi dirasa kian menyempit, seiring menguatnya militerisme. Apalagi, kejadian YF berdekatan dengan polemik pengangkatan eks Tim Mawar Djaka Budi Utama sebagai Dirjen Bea Cukai Kementerian Keuangan. Tim Mawar adalah unit Kopassus yang diduga terlibat penculikan aktivis 1997/1998.Bagaimana perkembangan kasus YF? Siapa saja yang bergerak mengawal kasus ini? Episode Summary: In Episode 167 of the Aerospace Advantage, F-16 at 50: The Origins of the Viper, Mitchell Institute's John “Slick” Baum hosts a special set of guests to mark the 50th anniversary of the F-16's first flight. It's one of the most impactful, widely used combat aircraft in airpower history. Developed in the early 1970s and first flown in 1974, the F-16 began as a relatively basic fighter. Numerous upgrades saw it evolve into an incredibly capable multi-role combat aircraft with powerful sensors, computing capacity, connectivity, a broad array of munitions, and far more thrust. This episode will discuss the origins of the F-16—how and why the requirements were developed, flight test, and early operational experiences. We've got General Mike Loh, who was a young officer just back from flying combat in Vietnam assigned to work with the “father of the F-16”, Col John Boyd, in the Fighter Requirements Directorate in the Pentagon. He later circled back to the program as the project manager for the YF-16 and F-16 at Aeronautical Systems Division. He's joined by Major General Charlie Lyon, who began his career in the F-16 in the early 1980s, when the jet was brand new and far more basic than anything flying today. He was a FWS Graduate and 422 TES IP and later a Squadron, Group, and Wing Commander. Finally, we've got Maj Gen Larry Stutzriem, who transitioned from the F-4 to the F-16 in the mid-1980s. This history really matters and that's why we're so excited to share it with you. This also marked the first official event that Arran Young Farmers. This was a club that I made a point of starting along with a few others from the island, acted as chair, and a few other jobs to get it going and unfortunately over time the club stopped operating after what was a good few years. Due to Arran being home for me I assumed that was it for me and YF…little did I know I'd find home again! After speaking at a couple of events for the local club Lower Nithsdale I knew it was time to go back and I feel like part of the family straight away! Today we start a series that could literally take years to complete! I would like to have every SAYFC club in the podcast, so if you'd like your club to be involved, get in touch! There was only one place I was starting though, in this episode, Ross, Joanne, Evan, Tasha, Aileen Molly and for that matter myself speak about what this wonderful club has to offer, what we're up to (including a fundraiser currently well in excess of 10k) and what's next given next year is the 80th year! Ella McLerran is the 2023 Tennessee Young Farmers & Ranchers Collegiate Discussion Meet winner. McLerran says winning this competition is something she's always dreamed of. Thomas Capps UT Knoxville Jr wins Young Farmers Collegiate Discussion Meet. Hello and welcome to Tennessee Home and Farm Radio. I'm Thomas Capps. Ella McLerran Getting to go up there and see all the all the hard work pay off and just come true it was, it was just a great feeling. Thomas Capps Clay County native Ella McLerran is the 2023 Tennessee Young Farmers and Ranchers collegiate discussion meet winner. The competition has four rounds that ends with four contestants competing in the final round each round as a topic or issue disguised by the contestants as they work to determine a solution to the topic. Ella McLerran The big topic today was diversity across our state. So our producers and our products, and ultimately how Farm Bureau can help cultivate dynamic leaders. So I really just wanted to point out that our state has 69,500 Farms, I mean, all of those are very different from the people that make them up to the practices they follow to the products they produce, and I think that's crucial. When we look at how we can grow leaders through Farm Bureau is we got to look at what makes up our membership, and a way to support them through our grassroots organization. Thomas Capps McLerran isn't new to Young Farmers & Ranchers or even discussion meet. Her parents participated in it too, when they were young farmers Ella McLerran Growing up in YF&R, seeing the contests, watching my parents do it, and now I guess doing it myself. And it didn't seem real. I didn't think I was like, Oh, wow, like that was my name. Thomas Capps Currently, McLerran is pursuing a degree in animal science with the hopes of continuing on in her education after that all to help benefit agriculture. Ella McLerran I want to go into law school and hopefully come back to agriculture with that legal perspective working with policy and the legal side of things because we need that representation in agriculture. This contest is a great practice for everything I want to do looking forward with that career so very excited and very excited to represent Tennessee Farm Bureau in March. Thomas Capps All eyes will be on McLerran in March as she competes in the National Young Farmers and Ranchers collegiate discussion meeting, which takes place in Omaha, Nebraska. For Tennessee Home and Farm Radio, I'm Thomas Capps.

Young Farmers are gathering for the annual Tennessee YF&R Summer Conference in Lebanon. Thomas Capps Young Farmers meet in Lebanon for Summer Conference. Hello and welcome to Tennessee homerun Farm Radio. I'm Thomas Capps. Will Elliott I think it's gonna be a really good time here and we've got a great venue here at this expo center. Y Thomas Capps Young farmers from across Tennessee are gathering in Lebanon today for the start of the Tennessee Young Farmers and Ranchers Summer Conference. The two day event will feature breakout learning sessions and will be where the 2023 environmental stewardship award and achievement award are given out. State YF&R Chair Will Elliott is excited to see all the different operations highlighted from the achievement award applicants. the Achievement Award Will Elliott The Achievement Awardis one of the biggest awards that we give out and young farmers and ranchers and not overshadow the environmental stewardship award. It's a great award that really showcases what farmers do in the society and how they take care of the land. I'm also looking forward to people learning from our breakout sessions, whether it's low grain marketing, or learning what to do and how you can diversify your farm and do even more with it. Thomas Capps Dairy farmer Riley Mason of McMinn county says YF&R Summer Conference is a great place to network and learn new things to apply on the farm. Riley Mason So I went to the first slide of our conference 2021 and I met a guy there. And I've talked to him every single day since and that's something I would have never met. And I've talked to him every day. Since the beginning of that that first friendship Thomas Capps And the conference is just a lot of fun. Will Elliott Let's just have a great time together, get away from all the stress of everywhere else out in the world and be here together and sing with karaoke player games. We've got to war that is a tradition that we've kept. I think fun is gonna be one of the things we try to focus on. It gives you that connections where it's not just done after high school, you have something that goes even further and you get to spend more time and grow more with the more like minded people. Thomas Capps Again, the 2023 Tennessee YF&R Achievement Award winner will be announced tomorrow night. We'll have who the winner is and hear from that person next week on Tennessee Home and Farm Radio. For Tennessee Home and Farm Radio. I'm Thomas Capps.

Annie, from a dairy farm was always involved in farming whether that was through the home farm or YF. However there seemed to be a theme throughout that cattle nutrition was her thing from day one. Originally she wanted to be a vet however an aversion to science proved problematic throughout her school life…your guess is as good as mine as to why she chose to study animal SCIENCE at SRUC in Edinburgh! Nutrition really caught on here, carrying out her dissertation on dairy nutrition at the Crichton Royal Farm in Dumfries! Basically straight after finishing uni (before her graduation) it was time to travel for Annie, NZ, South America and more was what was next for Annie before coming back to find her career in nutrition where she still is! Great story with someone that should be more confident in her ability!
